Dark things, kept ringing in his mind as the pair kissed in the aisle of the bookstore. Who could resist the promise of dark things, especially when they didn't know how dark, dark was? Rhett couldn't. There was an alarm in the back of his mind, trying to weasel its way through the whispers of uncertainty of what it was the Russian woman had instigated with just a single train of thought.
She melded in to him, but Rhett pushed her away from him and in to the bookshelf. The two didn't stay separated long, just long enough for him to put her where he wanted her. Against the shelf, pinned against him and the shelf as he kissed her again, this one not as subtle as the last one. This kiss told Seraphim what he thought of her and hinted at the things he might want to do to her. The hint was solidified when Rhett's right hand traced the side of her body and came to a rest on her hip.
Rhett was usually a focused man, women not being something he had his focus on, but this woman, had him acting like a teenage idiot that couldn't control his emotions or thoughts around her. "EXCUSE ME!" A sharp, female voice shouted at them from somewhere behind Rhett as the two remained engaged in their second shared kiss, leaving Rhett to momentarily break away from the woman to see who had the galls to interrupt them. Didn't they see there was something going on here?
His dark eyes locked on the woman as if she were all things he despised in that second. "Well, go on and get your book." Rhett said as his hand reached for Seraphim and captured it. "Let's continue this somewhere else." After he said that, Rhett wondered if he should have. Not because he thought she would turn him down, but because he normally didn't act like this. Or suggest things like this. But, it was too late now. The offer was made and he hoped she didn't turn him down. He wanted her badly. As bad as he wanted his own house. No, he wanted Seraphim more than that. **** the house.

Re: The book of love (Invite)
Seraphim's eyelids had grown half lidded with sudden suffocating waves of lust - the same ones she got when she was thirsty. It didn't make sense to be thirsty - she had just cleared through four blood bags before she came here and had only been in the store for maybe a half an hour. The girl gladly accepted being pinned to the book shelf, her eyes locked on his. It was a constant struggle to keep her eyes fixated on his and wanting to watch every move he made to further understand him. That was how she worked. She observed body language to learn more about a person before they even had the nerve to tell her.
Seraphim made a soft gasping sound when her back connected a second time against the book shelf, this time her fault for moving forward like a love struck idiot, only falling back against the shelf for support. She playfully tugged at his locks, definitely lost in the moment. She truthfully hadn't even heard the girl when she called out for them, trying to split up their public displays of affection. It was a good try though until Rhett pulled away a fraction, causing her to take on an expression of utter confusion. She had that distance suddenly, her fingers placed delicately on his pectoral muscles. Leaving sounded like the best idea in the world.
The impatient girl grabbed his hand and begun to drag him out of there, shouldering the lady in an indifferent manner. No one got between her and her Rhett. Yes, her Rhett. In that moment, she was opting for possession - the need to protect and own him as her own. Her own lover. Hers. No one else. She could have just said "mine mine mine" right then and there. She would mark that pristine crook of the neck with her teeth and lips. He would become hers.

She didn't say anything, and Rhett wondered if he overstepped his assumptions. But when she took his hand and practically yanked him out of there, Rhett knew his initial thought was wrong. Dead wrong. Holy ****, she agreed. He was elated and excited, but confused. Now what? Where would they go? Not any of the Fforde places. While he might not fit in there, Rhett would never break Jesse's trust in him.
A bar? A place to eat? Night club? A hotel or motel? His own apartment? These were all the places he thought about when the two left, but she seemed to be taking the lead, so maybe Seraphim had a place she knew about. They walked for a few seconds before Rhett had to yank her back and get another kiss from her. How long had it been since they shared a kiss? A minute? Three? Too long however long it was.
They stood there, in the middle of the walkway, one of his hands on her butt, the other under her chin as he kissed the Russian woman again, his hormones racing faster than they ever had before. How much further until they got to where they were going? How much was a ticket for indecent exposure if it was too far away? "Where are we going? Do you care?" He didn't and that much was obvious as he gave her butt a firm squeeze.

Re: The book of love (Invite)
Seraphim couldn't help but snicker softly as she dragged him past the people, her fingers keeping a firm grip in his. She had plans for this poor boy. Ones he might not even know about now. The girl hauled him towards an alley and froze when he kissed her again. She reacted swiftly by backing up against a wall, her mouth now locked with his. She had tangled her fingers back into those soft locks and offered a playful tug.
His words rang in the back of her mind, so vague and so quiet that she had almost dismissed them completely. The girl blinked when he broke the kiss to speak, her mind now trying to fetch what he was saying. "I have a room back at my sire's crypt. He normally doesn't mind if I were to take someone back there... being an allurist and all."
The girl then kissed him once more, a short little kiss to suffice until they were in privacy and begun to walk down the alley, figuring it would be the fastest way to get to where they needed to be.

Re: The book of love (Invite)
A bedroom in her sire's place. Male sire. Was that weird? Rhett shook his head internally. No, he could crash at Jesse's place all the time. Still, Rhett was leery of being in the company of someone else, especially a guy's place with Seraphim. She was his-whatever. What were they? Anything? Was she his girlfriend now? No, she hadn't said that and he hadn't. What he wanted from Seraphim was pretty much carnal in nature. He wanted to have her, all of her. Could he even wait to get to her sire's place in his crypt? No. Rhett decided he couldn't wait to get her to wherever the crypt was and that he wasn't going to be doing anything dark, or not with Seraphim there.
"No.I know a closer place." Rhett shook his head and grabbed her hand, and led Seraphim from their current location, to a few blocks over where there was a hotel. West Hotel or something like that. Some direction. The male didn't care about the trivial details. Just the major ones. He needed a room. He had to pay for that room and then they would be alone like he wanted to be with this foreign and exotic beauty.
He has never been inside the hotel before. Or any, really. Rhett is almost blinded by the fact that everything inside is white. Almost like a hospital. That's what it reminds him of, but it doesn't stop him from going to the counter and ringing the fancy bell on it. A woman comes out and he smiles at her, after squeezing Seraphim's hand. "Got any rooms available? Any one. I don't care."
"We have a couple, just give me a few minutes." The woman moves from the desk and goes to the computer and writes down a few room numbers. Again, minutes seem too long and he turns to the woman he is enamored with. A hand brushes against her cheek and a thumb finds her lips as he plays with it before Rhett kisses those lips of hers again. The pair are still lip locked when the woman returns and clears her throat before speaking. "We have five, but I can see two of them won't be suited for you two. So that leaves a queen suite, a king suite, and then finally our presidential suite. The prices are right here..." She lays the piece of paper out on the counter for Rhett to look at and he does for a minute, but then looks back at the woman he's with. She's worth it, right? The extra four hundred dollars? The way she's looking at him tells Rhett that she is. "That one." He points to the presidential suite, gives the paper back to the woman and digs out his wallet. Today, Rhett doesn't care what the price is, Seraphim should get the best. The card is taken and approved, the key given along with some vouchers for breakfast in the morning, and she gives them directions to the suite. Rhett doesn't waste any time after the woman's done talking and heads right to the elevator and to the second from the top floor where their suite is waiting for them.
