I forced my body still, though it caused all my concentration and willpower. I stared up in hunger as I opened my mouth, too hungry to notice the cold barrel in between my eyes.
Blood, and hunger was all I wanted.

Hanei relaxed somewhat, but kept the gun trained on her, though his finger was off the trigger. He gently handed her another blood bag, knowing that her hunger would be sated soon, as the vampiric body could only ingest so much blood per day.

"Now....Aria...my name...is Hanei...I am...your Sire....you...will...listen to me...if you wish.....to...survive....in Harper....Rock..."

I took the bag and gently opened the corner and successfully and with cleanless I drunk all the blood. I licked my lips and looked up at him.
"What's a sire? Nice to meet you Hanei by the way." I asked, my voice slightly hoarse.

He relaxed and put the gun to the side, knowing that he was impossibly faster than her if she were to become feral once more. The hunger seemed to have passed, but Johnathon wasn't about to take any chances. So, he would keep telling her his name was Hanei, until he was certain she could accept this new outlook on her life responsibly.

"A...Sire...is the....vampire...who has...Turned...you...into a...vampire...You are thus....my...childe...my....responsibility....I am...entrusted...with...your safety...and....teaching....you....the....Masquerade."

"The masquerade?" I asked as I gently placed the bag to the side. "And uh, may I have another?"
This was all knew to me, of course I didn't mind being a vampire but at the same time this was all frightening.
"And uh, if I'm your childe do I call you father . . .?"

Johnathon knew this was a lot of information for her to process, and he didn't mind taking the time to explain it all as necessary. He was glad his own Sire had been around to explain things, but not many vampires are that lucky. Most end up having to take countless trips to the Shadow Realm to learn just how things work as vampires. He calmly handed her the last blood bag he had, which was also his emergency bag, and then continued.

"I would....prefer....if....you....didn't....just....Sire....or Hanei....is fine....The Masquerade....is our...term...for...the....rules....and...guidelines....that keep....vampirism....secret....all...vampires....are expected....to obey...these...rules....or....face...punishment."

"Well that stupid." I muttered under my breath as I neatly opened the bag and poured the blood into my mouth. "Why are you panting and talking like that?" I asked.
This was knew to me and very confusing. A masquerade I believed was stupid. I hate rules and never followed them. I hated being restricted for me.

OOC: I kinda forget what I chose what type of vampire I am. How do I find out??

Johnathon knew she was young, but had no idea exactly how old she was. More than likely no older than twenty-five, based on her reaction to his announcement of the Masquerade. Her question about his method of speech was something he had anticipated, most everyone always wanted to know why he took so long to say anything.

"Before...I became...a...vampire...I had...a disease...that...affects...my lungs....and...vocal...chords....making...speech...painful....unless....I...restrict....myself...to...a...few...words at....most...once...in....a while...vampires...carry...over...their diseases...when they...are...Turned...it's....rare....but...not...unheard....of....If I....were....to speak....normally....my vocal....chords...would....start...bleeding...from the...inside...and because....I am....a...vampire...I...cannot...be...cured..." He now paused for a moment, letting her sort this out in her mind and register it all before continuing. "As for...the...Masquerade...it...is....necessary...to prevent....our discovery...by humans...otherwise....we...would...be...hunted...endlessly...speaking....of...which...do...not...traverse...the...sewers...unless...you...have....to."

"Oh." Was all I said as I looked down. "So. . . . . .?" I didn't know where or how to start my thoughts. I was confused and lost and still adjusting to the new look.
"So um. . . . does garlic repel us?" I asked with a chuckle.

Hanei just waited as patiently as he could, remembering to glance over his shoulder to make sure no one was watching or approaching. They may be in an alleyway, but once in awhile humans tended to peer down into alleyways as either shortcuts they can take or out of curiosity. There was no need for anyone to call the police in assuming this was some kind of illegal and illicit deal going on. Since there was no one, he turned to Aria just in time to hear her next question.

"No...garlic...does not....repel...us...unless...you have...an....allergy...to....it...stereotypical...vampires....are...not like...the...real...thing."
