Keara couldn't help but smile when Enver said the heir should be male. She was more than happy for them to have a son and while what he said was a little sexist, she was all too happy to overlook that fact if it meant she didn't have yet another woman in their life to contend with. Not that Keara really had to contend with any as it was. Enver was as crazy about her as she was about him. Of course if she understood the reasoning behind his decision she might have been a little hurt. As it was though she was thrilled and the only issue she now had was how best to hide that fact in case Enver suspected she wanted a male for other reasons than to lessen her own jealousy.

"While agree I do not that heirs of this day and age male must be, concur I do. A son for us quite fitting would be."

The files with the females in were set to one side. She would have happily thrown them out but a couple had information about her living relatives and she wanted to a chance to set those aside for later. There were more male files than female files and so they still had quite a choice ahead of them. It was actually while considering the female relatives that Keara figured out how to narrow this pile down quite considerably and perhaps bring Enver the same peace of mind he'd brought her by allowing them to take a son instead of a daughter.

"Think I do... That perhaps... Since found you have some that of my blood my. My human heritage that is. That perhaps choose we should a male that of my family lineage is. Would you amiable to this idea be?"

There was no way, in Keara's mind, that Enver could be jealous of any male to whom she was actually related. While it might have been common to marry cousins in Keara's day and age, she couldn't possibly see how Enver might consider the children of her brother and sister's a threat. The truth was there wasn't a male alive that could rival her husband for her affection but she understood his fears, as they mirrored her own.

Enver nodded and started to rub at his jawline as she agreed with the idea of their heir being a male. He was already starting to regret the suggestion. His wife seemed to agreeable. But it was too late to go back now. He cleared his throat and started looking at the piles of folders that were made as she kept talking.

A small grin etched on his face as Keara made a damn good suggestion. Why didn't he think of that right away? "That's a good idea. Damn good idea." Enver said almost too enthusiastically. It wasn't that he didn't trust his wife, he didn't trust anyone else. Male or female. Mostly, male though. His wife might believe some statements and expressions of care and helpfulness were innocent, but Enver knew better.

He watched his wife push a stack to the side of his desk, then moved to the other stack. He picked up a couple folders and flipped through them. He skimmed the basic information of each 'kid,' and set a folder in what he presumed was the discard pile. "Don't like the sounds of that one." Enver moved away from the desk, to sit behind it to look at some of the other files more closely. "Guess the next step is to set up appointments to meet with these guys." Enver left the folders open and leaned back in the chair and started rocking back and forth. "Any particular order we should see them in?" His eyes moved up to his wife then.

Enver seemed delighted with the idea of choosing a male from her family. She didn't know if his readiness to accept the idea had anything to do with her own reasoning but she suspected as much. If the roles were reversed, she would have rather adopted a female that her husband was related to, in place of one that he had no blood connection too. Whatever the reason, it honestly didn't matter, it only mattered that they were both happy with the decision.

A small smile graced her lips as she watched him thumb through the files. She didn't join suit though. If they were going to interview the children, then she would have the opportunity to study their files more thoroughly before each meeting. Right now she was just happy to be included in the decision making process. It had been a long time coming but she was now able to support her husband whole heartedly.

"By age. Perhaps. Oldest to youngest. Or vice versa. Or... Perhaps better it would be for the children by geographical location to see. Start with those that closest to us are. Need we shall have to, for travel plans for to make. Decide we must if we to them must go, or if we them to us can bring."

They were only left with a handful of eligible males left for consideration. One was in Canada, another in America, one was in Australia and the last two were in England. So no matter which of the children they were going to start with, they were going to have to make some plans. With the amount of money they had at their disposal it would be possible to have the children chaperoned and brought to them, but Enver did like to travel, so Keara was sure that visiting each of the children in situ would also be possible. It would all depend on Enver. If he wished to adopt the child sooner rather than later then they could arrange to have all the children brought to Harper Rock and interviewed within a couple of days. If they had to visit each of the children in their foster homes, then they would likely spend week after week travelling before they could make their decision. While time meant little to Keara, the child they would be adopting would remain mortal and so for them, perhaps, any delay could be detrimental.

“Would it better be, if we the children here did bring and all at once do see? Or wish you for to travel for each in their homes to see? Matters not the order so much, if plan we do for all first to see. For an informed decision to make.”

Keara seated herself on the desk and reached out to stroke her husband’s face. She loved to see him excited and almost felt a little guilty for having refused the idea the first time he brought it up. Almost. Deep down she knew that he wasn’t in the correct frame of mind to make such an important decision. Now though. Now she trusted that this was something that he truly desired and that he would be committed to see it through.

Enver is silent for a long while. Both index fingers come to rest just under his jaw as he rocks back and forth in his chair, deep in thought. He wanted the 'kids,' or teens really, to be as true to themselves as they could be so they both knew just what they were getting. No, he didn't distrust Gizmo's sense of judgement, but still. Dogs could be won over by the smallest shred of affection at times.

"We're going on vacation." Enver decided at once. He leaned forward and turned on his computer screen and pulled up a map of the world. "We'll start internationally, then circle back here. That way we can stop in cali and do any needed documentation and paper work here." To him it made sense. "We'll be in each country for a total of four nights." There was a look of determination as his mind started to devise a plan. "The first night is a loss, with the traveling. The second night, you'll do your shadow business and go see the boys in their natural element. I can't do it, so I'll trust your judgement. The third night is when we meet each boy and the fourth, we start heading to our new location."

He looked at his wife as he expanded on his reasoning. "They boys could be nervous when meeting us, so act out of sorts. Or act different. On their best behavior. This way, you'll get to see them both in and out of their elements." Enver started to pull up a bunch of travel sites to start configuring numbers. "When do you want to go?" His eyes drifted from the websites to that of his wife as he waited to hear her thoughts on his plans, to either agree or disagree with his reasoning and to express when she would be ready to leave for their first destination.

Keara wasn't one to pout but it happened on occasion and it happened now as Enver announced that they would be going on vacation. The action was fleeting however as she didn't want Enver to be discouraged in any way. The reason behind the momentary expression being that going away on holiday would require them to leave their puppies behind, again. And the more Enver went on, the more she realised that this would not be something that would be over and done with. It would require around twenty days of travelling, which it sounded like Enver wanted to do back to back. Day one and four sounded as it they might overlap a little and so Keara began to do the math herself. One night to travel to the first boy in Canada. One night to observe. One night to meet him. One night to travel to the next country, perhaps England. Observe the first boy. Observe the second. Meet them both on the same night. Then to Australia. Observe. Meet. Fly to America. Observe the last boy. Meet him. Make decision and begin the proceedings. She wasn't entirely sure if they needed to stop in Cali to begin the adoption process or not. Though this was the likely location of Enver's lawyer and this the place they would need to go once their decision had been made, as this person or team of people, would know how to go about adopting the child.

"If to your plan stick we do, then almost three weeks gone we shall be. Think I do that done it can be in two. Require so much rest we do not." She set about writing out the schedule for him to see on a nearby pad and then pushed it towards him. "Extra planning perhaps required shall be for this to do but sure I am that it possible is."

For the rest of it,she was quite content to do as her husband asked. Having her spy upon the boys would be a wonderful idea. one that she would add to when the time came, as Deanna could be sent to watch them during the daylight hours when she would be unable to do so herself. She knew price would not be an issue but they would have to time things correctly, else she would be unable to board or exit the planes without assistance, which she didn't believe possible. Though that might only be an issue if they were flying commercial, if they were to take the plane Enver owned, and there really wasn't any reason as to why they wouldn't, they would be able to disembark wherever and whenever they choose to do so.

"Leave we may so soon as everything arranged is. But set not your plans in stone My Love. Call we must each child's home for an appointment first to make. No reason have we for a place to visit if the child available is not."

He listened to his wife and waited to put his opinion out there. "True. But this isn't something we should rush either." He reminded her, then shrugged once. "But if two weeks is enough, then two weeks it is." Three would be better in his mind, but usually his wife had a better sense of practicalities than he did.

He stood and moved the files that were the potentials in the safe she got them from. "I'll have my guy start making the calls tomorrow. It's better to let the legalities be settled between those who get paid well for knowing what those legalities are." He chuckled, closed the safe and moved to the front of the desk and claimed a spot on the corner of it with his butt.

A hand reached out to grab hers and pulled her to him. "This is your last chance to renig." He told her, his eyes focused on her as his other hand came up to stroke the side of her cheek and eventually came to rest there. "Once the ball gets rolling legally, I won't stop it from rolling." Enver told her honestly and frankly. "Are you absolutely sure you're ready to do this?" A thumb went to play with the bottom of her lip momentarily, before he pulled it away, knowing that doing that action might be unfair on her when it came to making a sound decision.

Enver seemed sure that once the process was started that it couldn't be stopped. Keara very much believed otherwise but she wasn't about to start arguing with Enver over it. If she suddenly changed her mind, she'd do so and make Enver see sense too. The need to do this however would likely never come, as she could see that this was something Enver truly desired and she could not fault the logic behind the act.

"No desire have I for my mind in this to change. Good thing this is. For us. And for the child that adopt we do. Sure I am, that we ready for this challenge are."

She'd shifted her position and now stood between his legs, since he was now perched on the desk. His actions, while distracting, had not been enough to stop her from replying to him, or think things through. Usually his thumb upon her lip might have been enough to silence any thoughts she had but their conversation was serious and necessary. Having said what she needed to and hopefully having set aside any fear that he might have that she would change her mind once it all became real, Keara leaned in and pressed her lips to his. As she deepened the kiss, her fingers weaved their way into his hair and she moaned softy as fisted the short, dark crop at the nape of his neck.

"In this together we are My Love."

He nodded his head. They were ready. Sure, he had some apprehension, but the reassurance his wife gave him made him sure they could do it. How difficult would it be to adopt someone who was almost an adult anyways? There wasn't the need to do diaper changes, bottles, late night [or morning in their case] feedings, and kids slowed down with growing so going through clothes wasn't a big thing either. Yes, they could do it. They were going to do it.

His arms wrapped around her and fell on her waist as he tugged her in to him as close as he could. It was at this time that his wife initiated a kiss and with a growl he picked her up, let her back meet the majority of the desk's top and leaned over to kiss her that way. "Good. Let whoever you need to know that we'll be gone for two weeks then. I hope Serge can watch the remainder of the dogs while we're away." Enver didn't offer up his own thrall. Crash couldn't be trusted with things like this. Last time his screw up went bigger than anyone would have imagined and ended them up with a floor full of puppies.

"Now that business is done," Enver's hand trailed up the length of his wife's side before coming to rest on one of her covered breasts, "I think we head home." A cheeky grin pulled on the corners of his lips as he gave it a squeeze, then hopped off the table to put the other files away in a pull out drawer that locked in his desk. As he closed the drawer and slowly locked it, he focused his attention on his wife again. "Let's see who adheres to the rules of our cell first." He pocketed the key and was gone, thanks to the tome he pulled out of the very drawer he just locked.

There was no doubt in Keara's mind as to where this conversation was now heading as Enver turned her and kissed her with dramatic flourish. They were as malleable with one another as any amorous couple could be and so she hadn't even tried to fight him. To fight Enver, was to fight her own desire and while sometimes she did in fact need to fight one or the other, there was no such need to do so now. They were planning to start an entirely different type of family together, and so it was probably understandable that they would want to lose themselves in one another. Again. The pair of them would use almost any excuse to get the other into bed; a fact that neither one of them could deny. In fact most of the time they didn't need a reason. Their honeymoon period showed absolutely no signs of dissipating any time soon and they had been married for well over a year already.

She said nothing as he told her the business was concluded. She hadn't come there for business. She'd come there for answers. And now having gotten them, she'd also been able to give Enver something he had wanted for a while. It was a successful night but business was not what Keara would have called it. She had no word for it however, so business would have to be as good as anything for now.

Just before he disappeared, she smiled, the tips of her fangs visible behind her lips. She knew he wouldn't get far. He'd have to catch the elevator and she would be on his heels in a matter of seconds. Unlike Enver however, she would already be in a state of undress, as she didn't much care if she caught naked in her home. Her red and black dress was half way off as the elevator came to rest on their floor and she dragged her husband in with her before pressing the button for the doors to close, followed by the one for the floor they wished to travel to. As the doors closed, the competition was forgotten with Keara favouring the removal of his clothing over her own. With things going the way they were, it was likely that the pair would not be seen again until the following evening and that was just the way that Keara liked it.
