Re: Moonless night. (open)
She scowled as she walked, her jacket hood that was protecting her from the rain pulled down far over her face, hiding most of it from view. She was very lost and was trying to figure out how to find a station to take her home when she heard voices nearby. She stopped walking and debated on whether to locate the source of the voices or to keep on going. She didn't particularly like the idea of just walking up to someone for directions, but her shadow started to stretch toward the voices, so with a sigh she followed.
Carefully sticking to the shadows she got closer to the voices and saw two men standing a few feet away. They didn't appear to be friends, and judging by the amount of mud splatter on their clothes they had been running for some time. She watched the two carefully to see what would happen.

Re: Moonless night. (open)
He would listen to Patrick, calming down slowly. The night was opening up more, as if the veiled shadows were slowly pulling back, revealing themselves in ways he had never known before. "Cigarette...that would be nice, yeah." he said before hopping over the railing of the office above and dropping to the floor. He would land with force that would have buckled the knees of most normal men, but he would rise comfortably, only to pause as if to recognize what he did was odd. "Sorry about that..and earlier. I'm a bit on edge...but a smoke and a shot would probably set me right."
IF Patrick offered he would take one, the spaces under his fingernails caught with what was blood..hard to tell in the light, but it was there all the same. The first drag would visibly relax him, before he would tilt his head a bit to the side. "We have company..or you have a girlfriend?" he would ask. Nerissa was close enough to touch the senses...sticking to the shadows it was just hard to tell 'where' she was...
...yet how did he know it was a 'she' at all? He didn't know. Something just whispered it to him. He would nudge Patrick, "Watch this.." before suddenly holding his hands out in the shape of a gun, "FREEZE! WE HAVE YOU SURROUNDED! COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP FOR SMOKES AND DRINKS!"
His mood, apparently, was improving. If anything it was as if he had been confused and the foggy haze of his mind was clearing up that he didn't treat Patrick like someone out to kill him, or Nerissa as a threat.
Which might get him killed.
But damnit, the idea of a drink was rather good at the moment.

He is confused, again, at first by the odd question. "Nope. No girlfriend to speak of." He relaxed a bit but does turn his attention to where the man is pointing. He is very odd but seems to know his surroundings very well. If it's a trap, it's a trap. If not then, they have a new visitor. Either way he'll bit.
"You can come join us too. Hell the more the merrier." He reaches into his pocket and pulls out another cigarette for himself and lights it quickly. If he was going to get hurt tonight he needed another cigarette first.

Re: Moonless night. (open)
She shrinks back as the men start to talk to her. How did they know she was there? Were they vampires as well? She had no idea, but with how well they reacted to her presence she relaxed a bit, sense she wasn't in any danger at that moment.
She didn't like to smoke, but the drinks sounded good. The only time she ever drank was if she was at a party, but then again, she didn't really have anyone else to go out and have drinks with. Her shadow started stretching towards the men again, so she stepped out of the shadows after it. She pulled the hood off her head, revealing her long purple and black hair, then stuck her hands in her pockets. "Drinks sound good to me. I didn't really have any other plans tonight, so if you don't mind a tag-along..."

He would hold his hands in the same 'gun' position, covering Nerissa as she stepped out of the shadows..only to lower it when she lowered her own hood. The purple hair looked rather striking in the darkness. Shades of black that only revealed themselves when the touch of light would spill across it. Like a secret you were not meant to hear whispered.
Patrick didn't seem to mind the tag along, and he didn't mind either. "Good...Glad to meet you. This is Patrick." he said, gesturing his hand with the still lit cigarette towards his new compatriot, "And I'm...uhh....right. I'll figure that out later. For now I'll answer to 'Hey you'.." he said while he began t o brush off some of the Mud from his clothing. "The Rain and the Mud isn't so bad, just wish I knew if I had a place that had spare clothes. Still, what bar has ever thrown out a patron because of how they look, eh?" he said, looking back to Patrick, "Lead on."

Lancaster`s it is then. He turns toward it. "This way. There's a bar where I know the owner." He hadn't been there in over a week now because of the unfortunate things that had happened in the past few weeks. It was time he returned. That and he was curious if momma bear was going to be there. He smirked at the thought of there new pet names that had developed rather quickly.
He turned towards the woman who had joined them. "So what is your name? You know at least mine now." It seemed to be a new night on more ways than one and he apparently wasn't alone in this thought process as he glanced back at the man with apparently no name. He was going to have to come up with something to call him. Perhaps drinks would help him be creative.

"The name is Nerissa. Let's get going." She grinned as she said this and followed the two men to the bar. It hit her that she was a young girl following a couple of men to a bar, which seemed a bit...unconventional, but she didn't mind.
In an attempt to make conversation she asked, "So... do you two know each other?" From what she observed she couldn't tell if if they were friends or not. If they were all strangers to each other it would be interesting how they all get along.

He would follow the other man, letting the smoke dance along his lips before he would speak and scatter it into oblivion. "Nah, just met tonight. I was a bit confused and he scared the crap out of me." he said. "But he can't be all bad, he offered a smoke after all. Nerissa..." he said, adding her name to the end with a tiny little bow of his head. "..A pleasure."
The night was still young, relatively speaking. He couldn't remember much of the last few days...in fact most details about himself were a bit hazy, but he didn't feel that he was normally this...awake...this late at night. Granted there was still hours of darkness left...it was just...odd.
"So...you know the owner? Does this mean we get in no cover charge?" he asked with a smirk, "Or at the very least it's Lady's night, so our lovely companion may drink for free?"

"Yeah I think we can manage to get in without a cover." He pulled out his phone as they walked and sent a quick text. It was odd being with other vampires. Well he was use to other vampires that he knew apparently. At least he thought these two where vampires. **** if he much of anything anymore.
"So, if you don't mind me asking, what were you doing on the industrial district this late at night? I mean you don't look like you work out here." but people in this city did crazy **** all the time so for all he knew she could own all this **** or hell, she could be out to kill them both. Or this other guy could be out to kill him. Great now he was getting paranoid.

She thought carefully before answering, deciding that it would be better to tell the truth then try and lie about it. Besides, they seemed friendly enough, for now at least. "To be honest, I got lost. I like to explore Harper Rock, get to know the lay of the land, but I took a wrong turn somewhere and ended up here." She grinned, her white teeth flashing in the lamplight. "But it looks like it turned out for the better. After all, I get to have free drinks. Who can argue with that sort of luck?"
She continued to follow the men as they neared the bar, making sure to give herself enough space in case she needed to bolt. She still didn't quite trust these guys, and she had learned multiple times in her life to not let her guard down completely, no matter how harmless the situation.
