The man looked at the money on the table then up at the woman, his stomach had begun to settle in and his eyes lost their black hunger. "Thank you..." No one had ever given him that kind of money, no one had given Nash that kind of money. "I won't repay it," he wasn't being rude, he just had no intention of making up this kind of cash ever again. He stepped over to the window and looked out, "how many humans know that we exist in this realm with them...?" Maybe too straight forward to ask a fellow Vampire, but it mattered not. Something about this new life gave him an utter disregard for the feelings of those around him. But he kept it together for now. He thought about the letter in his pocket and the cash on the table. Pulling the letter out he tore it in two. This wasn't the handwriting of a woman. It was a man, someone on that train most likely. Or a man here in the city? No, couldn't be.... He took the cash in hand, "I don't mean to be such a bother but do you have any fresh cloths?" With utter disregard he stripped down to just his torn dress pants leaving his sport coat and dress shirt in a pile of bloody rags on the floor.

"It's Monty now," he said at last, "that's my new name... My reborn name..."
