It was a light coat for the night. It was something called cashmere. It felt nice, soft against the skin. The majority of the reason she had several of them in storage underneath her bed. A coat rack would solve this problem. A project to get her to motivate into the groove of her hobby. "Of course, we can all walk together. I'm ready now, promise. You look beautiful, Beverly," she said after letting herself have that breathing time. There may be a crowd. She's had issues at the Altaire gatherings before. Her tics. Tonight will be better. Tonight will be great. "Let's go." The door opened for them, Pyper hanging back to make sure the lock worked.

The walk was short and soon they were at the address. A pool hall. She didnt know her sire well yet, but he was unconventional. A smile crossed her face, yes that was the word. She had never been to a wedding, but had never heard of one in a pool hall. Weddings were always in churches, she had thought, but then again, it was a personal thing, so maybe customization was okay. She was surely overdressed, but felt comfortable. She smiled to Nerissa and grasped a little tighter to Pyper's arm as she pushed open the door and entered, taking in the sights and scents.
Especially the scents. Her hand slipped into her purse and silently deftly began to tap the bulb of the atomizer, letting little puffs of perfume out into the sweat stained air of the pool hall.

Klara looked at the clock noticing the time. “Vada, come on babe, you need to get dressed for Skylar’s wedding.”

The closet stood open as she pulled his black cotton shirt and a sport coat to dress it up a bit and his dress jeans. She went to her side and pulled out a red dress that hugged her figure in all the right spots. She smiled happy with her choice for them.

“Vada, come on we’re going to be late. Get in here and dressed,” she yelled into the other room as she stepped into the shower.

She quickly showered and dried her hair smiling as she walked out from the bathroom to see vada standing there looking at his clothes. Walking over to him she slid into his arms and kissed him tenderly smiling up at him as the kiss ended “I love you baby, now get dressed!”


Shimming into the tight dressed she finished quickly and was in the front room waiting impatiently for him to hurry. She did not know Skylar well but Pi’s family was like her own and it was now vada, which meant one day it would be her own.

He sighed softly, he always had issues with family and strangers, why was he so odd at the best of times. He looked at his clothes as he then held Klara and kissed her gently. " I will get ready darling. " It only took him a few moments to slip into his clothes, longer then it did to remove them.

He made his way out to Klara as he took her hand and looked at her. He cleared his throat and wrote her a note, he was learning russian slowly. 'Я люблю тебя, детка.'

He then lead her into the streets and walked towards the pool hall slowly, he enjoyed the shadows really and his now tanned skin made him look almost human.

Klara looked at the note and looked at him with a question in her eyes. “You know I don’t speak Russian, what on earth does it mean?”

Her hand slid into his own as they walked to the venue. They arrived quickly, sensing his nervousness she gave his hand a squeeze and kissed his check. “It’s going to be ok, they’re family. Just be yourself. You’re perfect honey.”

Opening the door the place was not what she expected for a wedding. She saw Skylar and went over to say hello and congratulations. “Congrats Skylar! I love this place, different from the norm but it totally works! Have you seen Doc yet?”

She looked at vada, pulling him close to her.

Nerissa walked into the building and looked around. She liked the feel of the place, with the lighting giving a comfortable atmosphere. This was the first wedding she ever went to, and already she started to feel comfortable, which was a good thing. If she didn't feel threatened, then her shadow would behave. "This is a nice place. I'm looking forward to this."

Smiled as he looked at Klara, the joy would be her finding out what the note said, it would make it worth so much more. He followed her in as he looked around, how did a vampire of his skill get so nervous? He had stared death in the eyes and slaughtered the harbingers of death, and yet a simple party made him nervous.

He followed Klara as she went to Skylar and he smiled softly letting them talk, images of april in his mind as he seemed to stare blankly through them. His insides fighting against his body, he wanted to run and hide, find something to kill. It was easier then family gatherings.

Klara smiled as Skylar explained about the odd venue for a wedding. "I like odd and if you two are happy here then that's awesome. It's nice to see people not afraid to be themself!"

Seeing that she had a group waiting to great her, she led vada to a seat and sat them down leaning into him. She pulled out her phone to google what the note said.

“I love you baby.”

She looked at him tenderly, tears in her eyes and smirked at him “I love you too baby.”

Klara looked around to see if Pi had shown up yet knowing he would settle down a little when she got here. She leaned over to whisper in his ear, nipping his hear lobe. “You can relax; no one is going to hurt you here. I promise.”

He smiled at Skylar and nodded gently, his voice rather soft and quiet. "I am vada, and you must be Skylar." He held onto Klara tightly as he handed Skylar a ball of pure jade that had the image of tigers etched onto it. He found the ball to be a good stress reliever but it was also great for a sword pommel.

He followed Klara and sat beside her as he rested his head on her shoulder. He was waiting for Pi, she was his second rock in a world of harsh waves. Having 2 rocks should make him feel at ease, if not Klara would keep him sound. His eyes scanned the area as he whispered in Klaras ear. "You think they have blood orange juice?"
