Re: A Friend in Need [[Dhara]]

Despite the pain clouding her mind, she paid particular attention to the amount of blood that she was consuming from her best friend. The flow of blood already had her mind clearing and pain numbing, though she knew it would be some time before the wounds would heal enough to allow her time to go outside and feed elsewhere. It would be a struggle to even make it to the Den, and all she would need to do for that would be to be her Tome. Toming while injured just sounded like a bad idea, all around.
When she knew that she had taken enough blood, she pulled away from the woman's arm. Her nose wrinkled with the realization of the change this meant between them, but she still took the time to lick at the wound. The enzymes and chemicals in her saliva would cause it to close and heal within minutes, and Dhara wouldn't even be able to tell it was there. As was the joy of vampire bites for so many of this city. A sore neck, sure, but no clear wounds. Perhaps that was best, even in this case.
Realizing that she had never answer Dhara's inquiry, she looking up at the woman with pure guilt and remorse. "I will be fine, D. I'm so sorry..." she sighed, using a finger to wipe at the corners of her mouth to ensure no blood was left behind. Her hand then dropped to the wounds at her chest, "It will be a day or two before the wounds are gone...but they will heal much faster now. Thank you..."
There was no need to thank Dhara. because the woman already knew what she had done to help. Her best friend would know how much this meant to her, no matter what Aliyah said. With a groan, she sat herself up higher against her bedframe, glancing down at the stains ruining the sheets. It was a mess, and one that would take forever to clean up. "I guess I better find some bleach..." she mumbled, placing a couple of fingers in the wet pool of blood.
