The box fell to the floor and a variety of items spilled out, littering the floor, before Andrew's limp body slumped down to join them. He crumpled and folded into himself, his lifeless body lying limp on the ground. Keara's eyes widened with shock. Enver had just killed her thrall, right in front of her and the worst part was that she hadn't even tried to stop him. This disturbing fact reverberated in the back of mind as she tried to make sense of what had just happened. Enver, her Enver, had just killed an innocent man because of her. He never killed anyone. Not without a good reason. It was a side of her that she was sure he frowned upon; that she could take a life without regret or remorse if she thought it necessary. This though, this was not necessary. Enver had no reason to even strike Andrew, let alone snap his neck in such a horrible manner. The only comfort she had, for Andrew's sake, was that Enver had ended his life quickly.

Mourning Andrew would have to wait, as Enver was obviously so upset with her that he had crossed a line she didn't think him capable of crossing. At this moment, he wasn't the husband she knew, and she worried for his sanity when his common sense returned. The room should have come alive, it should have begun to shake as her anger built and yet she was not angry; not in the slightest. She couldn't be angry with Enver for killing Andrew, not when she'd killed Hannah. Of course Hannah's death could be argued away as necessary and the result of raging hormones; Enver had no such excuse for killing Andrew. The male was still under her power and so posed no threat to them.

"Oh Enver."

When she spoke her words were laced with concern and disappointment. He'd turned to her, practically gloating. She should have addressed this first but she could not think of a single thing to say in that moment. All she wanted to do was wrap her arms around him, so that she would be with him, comforting him, once he worked out what he'd done. She stepped closer to him her arms going about his neck despite the cold stare he had fixed upon her. Mad as he was, she could still drown in those eyes of his, though she hoped to see them quickly soften.

"He my thrall was. My friend. Knew that you did." Keara began to address his questioning accusation now that her arms were wrapped around him. "No other see I, as I you do see. Know that too you do. When calmer you are. Know it again you shall, as soon as your mind cleared has."

There was more to say. More to do but she hesitated to push him further in this state. She didn't want to argue, she didn't want to hurt or disappoint him and yet this is where they were. A small part of her knew she should chastise him and get angry for what he'd done, it would be what he expected, it was what she had expected but if that emotion burned within her, the flame was so low as to go unnoticed.

"Love you I do My Enver. Beyond words. Beyond reason."

She pressed herself against him, her eyes never leaving his. One hand drew back, her fingertips slowly sweeping across his neck before they traced the line of his majestic jaw. She needed him to forgive her and it was because of that need that she probably wasn't reacting as she should to the scene before her.

He heard it in her voice. How she said his name before she was closing in on him and had her arms around him. This wasn't his fault. She did it. She showered with Peter. His wife saw Peter naked. Did she like what she saw? Why did it take her so long to tell him? Because she did like what she saw. Keara liked Peter. Or his body. No. That was insane. Wasn't it?

Keara made him this way. She made Enver insane. Keara made him insane with the things she did. Or didn't do. Didn't know. From the beginning he had called her such. Crazy. She didn't like it, and maybe it was because she wasn't crazy. He was crazy. For her. She drove him crazy.

"He's not your friend." Enver growled before stepping back from her. Away from his wife. "He's in love with you. Always had been since before you made him your thrall." Enver began pacing, a wild hand running through his hair as he went on to explain himself. "Always hanging around your shop. Sniffing around and then YOU bring him in to our home as your god damn thrall. Ever think about how that makes-made me feel?" Yes. Enver knew what he was saying was true. Because he felt it. Deep in his bones. "Then you wonder why I kick him out of the house or shoot him? Because I can't stand the sight of that asshole!" Enver pointed to the dead body that was a few feet away, and in doing so, he stopped pacing. His eyes moved back to her, a wild look in them, as his hair stood on its ends, reaching for the ceiling, or towards the wall. Enver, looked as if he was insane.

"You do these things and it drives me crazy!" He continued on, looking at the body. "I'd kill anyone that hurt you. I'd kill for you. You do things to me-" He stopped and sighed, before he shook his head. "And then you hop in the shower with Peter and you hide it from me for weeks?" The wall that Enver stopped by was met with an open ended palm, not once, or twice but three times as he tried to wrap his head around everything that had happened tonight. The secret about her and Peter. Him killing Andrew. And the fact he had not an ounce of remorse. Paired with the fact that Enver would be someone he wasn't for his wife. Because of his wife. As much as she had made him a better man, there were times, she made him a weaker man. A different man. "Would you be so forgiving if I had done the same with Lorde? So understanding?" He asked her, his dark eyes on her face, demanding to pull the truth from her.

It pained her to have him pull away but she let him go. He didn't move far, he wasn't leaving her, he just couldn't have her wrapped around him like. That in itself worried her but she knew they'd get through this, no matter what she had to do to make things right with him. She stood there in silence as he paced back and forth, her fingers flexing as she tried to stop herself from reaching for him; something she desperately wanted, no needed to do.

"Know I do not how forgiving I would be if you in the shower with Lorde did step." Her voice wavered even to say the words, as the image in her mind, the very same image she'd had that night, returned to her. "Thought of that, that night I did. And once thought it I had, knew I did that myself from the shower I had to remove. Thought I had not of how hurt you it would for that to do, not at first. At first all that thought I did was that Peter my help did need. Know you do that I our son do love. Love I do all my family but he ours is. Stand I could not for him so to see. Sorry I am My Love. More sorry than say I can."

Keara had yet to address some of his other concerns but in her mind Peter was the real issue, and so he had to be addressed first. It was the issue that had started it all. The secret. A secret she knew she shouldn't have kept. A secret that had eaten at her heart.

"Wrong I was for this from you for so long to keep. Know that I do. Apologies enough for that I cannot. Such a secret again I shall not keep. Promise you that I can." She moved to stand before him again, her had reaching to stroke his face once again. "Know I do that you me shall not believe but Andrew in love with me was not. Admired he did my work. Nothing more than friendship was there between us. And even if adored me he did, mattered not to me that would have. Look to another in that way I never have. Never could." Nimble fingers began to work their way through his hair. "If thought I did that he something for me did feel, dismissed him I would have. For you. For us. Never would I want for him in our home to be, if thought I did that more from me desired he did. Do that to you I would not. So important to me he is not. See you that not now? Killed you have one that under my protection was and yet the room darkened has not. The lights intact are. The furniture still. Understand I do, that this my fault was. How love me you do. For I the same way about you do feel."

Her words were softly spoken and full of understanding. As disappointed as she had been by Enver's reaction, there was little she could do to change it now, the male was dead and she wasn't about to take him as a childe; to do so would be to hurt her husband all the more deeply, or so she believed. Hesitant to kiss him in case he pulled away from again, she gathered his hands in her and raised them both, so that she could press her lips to his knuckles. Having kissed both hands, she lowered them and looked into his eyes.

"Forgive me My Love. Please? Need I do for forgiven to be. The secret so long I should not have held. And right you are. Called to you I should have. Next time, try I shall for that to remember. If there a next time e'er is. Want I do not for this between us to come."

She finally fell silent, her eyes searching his for any sign of hope that he might forgive her. He had to forgive, as the alternative was too much to bear. She could not lose her love, not even for Peter. In that moment, all those weeks ago, she had not thought of the consequences, she just knew she had to help her childe and the moment she'd realised what she'd done, she'd removed herself from the situation. She had no idea how she could atone for something that had been done out of motherly love and with the purest of motives. Had Peter been female, it would not have been an issue, but he wasn't and it was. For any other couple this might not have even been an issue but for Keara and Enver it was and they both knew why; jealousy ran rampant in their relationship and yet neither of them had ever so much as even entertained the thought of another since probably before they even began officially dating. Their love, strong and binding as it was, drove them both crazy, but oddly, if given the choice, Keara wouldn't have it any other way.

His wife explained that she had been caught up in the moment with trying to help their son. Part of him could believe that. One too many times had Enver been caught up in the moment and just reacted. But, this was his wife. She almost always seemed so in control-with a few exceptions. Usually, in regard to him. Had his ways worn off on his wife? It was possible, Enver supposed. Spending so much time [almost every waking and sleeping minute together] together, his ways could have started to rub off on his wife. If so, then if he was mad at her, he should be mad at himself.

Enver sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose, the male looking down at his wife. Maybe, he was looking at this the wrong way. His wife was naive-sometimes more than he liked to admit or realize. Where had Jersey been while this was going down? Usually those two were inseparable as well. Did they break up? He frowned a little at the thought. If so, that meant Peter was single when Keara was in the shower with him. Something about this entire situation didn't sit right with Enver. And the most he thought about it, instead of went with his gut reaction, the more he was starting to believe this was Peter's fault. In that moment, Peter changed in Enver's eyes. He wasn't his 'son,' he was Enver's competition. Peter had the incident. Peter let Keara see him like that. Peter hadn't called for Jersey, Kallista's or any other Vedarian to help him. And Peter knew how much he meant to Keara. How doting she was of him.

Enver scowled a little when he heard his wife talk about a next time. He shook his head. There wouldn't be a next time. If Enver saw the guy in the hall like that, no way would he let Keara back in this situation. "Maybe Peter shouldn't allow there to be a next time." Enver stated blankly before he wrapped his arms around his wife. "But if there is a next time, his girlfriend can assist him. That's what she's there for. Along with other things, but it's not just your place. It's not your place at all." Enver's tone grew sharp when he said that, a little unintentionally, but he couldn't help what he believed. Peter was the one to blame for all this. At any time the male could have approached Enver about it as well. He hadn't. He either believed he had done nothing wrong, or he was a sneaky shadow shithead that was moving in on his wife. He didn't tell Enver because he wanted Keara. His eyes narrowed at the thought. Keara was his.

"Our son,"
Enver said the word with a little bit of disgust. "Seems to get in a lot of trouble lately. First with other members of the family and now this siring incident." Enver kept his arms around his wife, but pulled back a little so he could look down at her better. See more than just her face. "Maybe he needs a vampire refresher course. Or maybe, Deanna or Crash should keep tabs on him for a while." Enver liked that idea. He would probably ask Crash the next night to do that. Crash would let him know what, if anything was going on, or attempting to go on by Peter with Keara. Deanna? He wasn't so sure would be so accommodating with that information. She wasn't Enver's biggest fan.

Had Keara the ability to read her husband's mind, she'd of vehemently disagreed with his conclusion. It was unthinkable to her that their son could harbour any but the most natural feelings towards her. She hoped Peter loved her but not as a lover, as a son. He was important to her and she had been more than clear in the way in which she dealt with him that, that was how she felt for him. Enver's thoughts were irrational, as there was but one man on the entire planet that was attracted to her and it wasn't Peter. But then, even if she could have read his mind and addressed his concerns, he probably wouldn't have listened to her; once he got something into his head, it was very difficult to change his mind. Would she have blamed him for these thoughts? No. She couldn't blame him for his jealousy, as she was exactly the same when it came to him and truly believed that he was irresistible to the opposite sex. This was probably the reason that one of Enver's businesses in particular had such a high turnover of female staff; once Keara believed they wanted more from him than they had a right to expect, she had to get rid of them by any means necessary.

Enfolded in his arms she gently shook her head. She couldn't agree with what he was saying. It was her place to help her childe and any of her blood or his when they needed her. She'd never turn away from her family, at least she didn't believe she was capable of such a thing. Enver had to know this. What she could promise him however was never again to help her childe in such a fashion. She could promise that she would summon Enver to her so that they could share the responsibility, much as she should have done that night.

As he attempted to pull back to get a better look at her, her arms tightened around him; there was no way that she was letting go of him, not after he'd moved to hold her. As much as he still hadn't said he'd forgiven her, his actions hinted at it and there wasn't a thing in the world that she would allow to become between them before she the reassurance she needed from him.

"Oh My Love. So much trouble he is not. And help he cannot that the sight of blood him queasy does make. Unfortunate affliction it is for one of our kind to have but he not the first of my blood is for so affected to be. Your understanding requires he does. And our help. Know I do not where Jersey was. Mattered not to me in that moment it did. But promise you I shall that e'er that situation reoccurs does, that summon you to me immediately I shall. You of more help to him could be. More humanity in you, have you do. Empathise easier I think you can."

She didn't comment on his idea to have their son followed, as she didn't think it necessary. The boy wasn't bad or wilfully disruptive of the lives of those around him. He was afflicted by issues they just didn't understand. He was a sensitive soul, much like his father but of course Keara couldn't tell Enver that. Peter's issues were of their making. They'd fought for him, turned him, made him what he was. She wouldn't allow Enver to be so quick to dismiss him.

"Please Enver. Long I do for to hear that I forgiven am."

The words were important to her, as much as the actions were. She could feel the stiffness in him, she could feel that something was wrong and she hated it. Guilt had eaten at her for so long and now with the secret out in the open it was still unyielding in its grip upon her. She had hurt the love of her life and nothing in her life would be right until things were settled between them.

She spoke of empathy, but in that moment, Enver didn't feel particularly empathetic to Peter or the situation they both were in. Fingers went to the bridge of his nose as he pinched it, then sighed as he shook his head. If there was a situation like this again, Peter would need to be talked to. While Enver didn't particularly care about 'the Masquerade' or anyone's laws really, the idea of Peter drawing attention to himself and then to his wife was a problem. And not something Enver would tolerate. He was lucky no one had seen him in the state he was in and followed him back here.

"You should make sure he wasn't seen. See if the camera's in the streets picked anything up." Enver finally said as his hand found its way back to his side. He still hadn't broached the topic of his wife being forgiven. It wasn't as if it was really her fault. Not in his mind. It was Peter's. Still, she did play her part in it all too.

"I guess." He said after clearing his throat. "I mean it was mostly Peter's fault. So nothing to forgive on your end. Not really." Still, as Enver said that, he wasn't all too sure what he felt. How he felt about it all. It still didn't sit right with him. But, his wife said it wouldn't happen again and so, he believed that much to be true. "So long as it doesn't happen again, then yeah, you're forgiven." His hands moved up and down the length of her arms as he half-way embraced the woman before him. He thought about the words he said in that second and while Enver wanted to believe them, the fact that his stomach was curling at the idea of Peter and his wife anywhere near the other didn't make his words any easier to swallow. He believed her. Believed that it was innocent on her end. That she wouldn't do it again, but the male still couldn't believe it had actually happened. "I'm going to go tinker." He stated after his lips pressed to the side of Keara's temple. Enver would be consumed for hours working on various things and lose track of time and the things going on around him. Maybe time would put things in to a different perspective for the Allurist.

Keara had no time to tell her husband that their childe's instincts were good and that he'd tomed home, so the need to check camera's didn't exist. Peter, although not of sound mind, had sought to return home as quickly as possible and in doing so he'd used the most expedient, safest and reliable form of travel. To praise her childe for his instincts however, might not have been the best plan. Not with Enver seeming to want to find a way to make this Peter's fault, which it wasn't; the male had no control over himself and was barely functioning when Keara had found him, but she would argue that another night. The best plan for them both was to allow the conversation to pass.

As Enver said he was going to tinker, Keara cast her eyes down at Andrew. Yes. It was possibly for the best that he remove himself from the situation. That he distance himself from what he'd done here and that he left his wife to clean up the mess he'd made. She didn't mind, of course, helping her husband came naturally to her and while he might have seen this as her mess, she knew that wasn't so. Still, of the two of them she had the most experience with this kind of thing and odd as it might seem, her biggest regret in this whole thing, wasn't the loss of her friend's life, it was the loss of her husband. They had a routine. Strange as that might be. They fought, they argued, they could scream and shout and tear the place apart but their arguments always ended with them in on another's arms. Tonight it seemed that would not be the case. Or at least, not yet. Keara would tidy up the items that littered the floor, dispose of the body and then, once she was in their cell, she would summon Enver to her. He might complain but he'd have the time to tinker while she tidied and then she would claim him as her own as she always did; for this argument wasn't truly over until they had lost themselves in one another as they always did.
