Seven days? Seven days. That's how long he was out for? His family must be wondering where he is, his two sisters, even his fiance. And he was here, with this stranger who took him here and somehow took care of him and his wounds. He ran his hand along the soft tissue from his scars and frowned slightly.

"How did I heal so quickly within 7 days? Are you really, um, magic?" It sounded so ridiculous when he said that. Magic? It's not real. But then how else would she have fixed him up? He moved to the end of the bed, but he had trouble doing so with the soreness of his body. But he picked himself up to stand, he needed to stretch, maybe that will help with his sore muscles. "I need water." He whispered. But then he began to walk only to lose his footing, feeling light headed and sick. Forsyth landed on his knees and decided to sit instead on the ground against the bed.

He turned his head to look at her carefully. "Be honest, tell me what you did to me. Did you drug me?" The tone was almost sad, but there was a hint of anger mixed with it. "I have a family. I have a fiance.. I came here for a family business trip, I was suppose to be home by now. You kept me here." He shook his head slowly and at his shoulder to ease the tension there in the muscles. He wanted answers, and he wanted them now.

Was she really magic? In a sense, she supposed it was possible to call her race magical. They were the mythical beings that parents and teachers told their children in order to keep them in line. They were the horror stories, but also the sappy romantic love stories of today's youth. Vampires were something to be feared, but also something to be loved. Until it came time to be one, and your life was flipped upside down. So, "No, I am not magical..." she finally answered, rubbing at her forehead.

His need for water had her on her feet, but she did not move to the sink to get water, even as he sank to his knees. He had been sick for days, and it only made sense that his body would have a hard time as soon as he awoke. He would back on his feet in no time, all vampires had that ability. Not that he knew it. Water was something he didn't need, and what he did need, he would likely refuse.

And then his accusation went flying, causing her to take a step back. The offense she took his words stung like a blade in her chest, making her expression shift into one of annoyance. "Don't treat me like some captive, kid. Next time I will just ship you to wherever you came from, then. Just make to write down your address, first?" she snapped, blue eyes glaring down at him.

"By the way, you can't have water. It will make you sick, and you will spend the next few hours violently heaving up the emptiness that makes your stomach." It was a vulgar way to say it, but it was true enough. She moved to crotch down beside him, offering her wrist to him. "You feel thirsty? Here you go..."

So she wasn't magic, then what was she? All the questions and ideas of how this could have happened flooded his mind. He rested his head back and closed his eyes shut. Somehow he was tired, even though he slept for a week. But what bothered him was the ringing in his ears, and the spinning of the room. It was like he was drunk, but he had a burning sensation at his throat, he swear it was thirst for water. "I have a name, and it's not kid." He lifted his gaze to catch hers then and shook his head. "I don't even know you either.."

Well yes he did go and accuse her without actually hearing her part of the story and what she did for him. Practically he should be saying thank you for saving his life. Because here he was alive, breathin-- He looked down at himself and then lifted a hand to his heart, just as her wrist was offered to him. His blue eyes widened at her. "What. Happened, to me?" His voice held the shock, the scare. This wasn't normal. He couldn't feel a heart beat, and she was offering her wrist. For what? Blood? Why would he need blood? He was human. So he thought for now.

Forsyth just continued to stare at her wrist. What was he suppose to do? She still hasn't explained anything, and he was lost for words at this moment. Well, he just couldn't speak because the burning was driving him nuts. He could feel the throbbing of his gums, but didn't pay much mind to it at all. Probably a tooth ache, he thought each time he paid attention to it. "Please, ma'am. I need answers.."

Her blue eyes rolled heavenward as he complained about her lack of calling him by his name, as if she even knew what it was. The last time he was awake, they hadn't exactly had a good chance to talk and be properly introduced, but that was of no concern of his. No, he would rather sit there and make this whole thing that much harder to explain. What the hell had she gotten herself into this time?

As he kept going on, refusing to take her wrist, she finally grew annoyed. In one swift movement, she covered his mouth with her hand. The only way they were going to get through this conversation was going to be if she could shut him up long enough to do so. "I need you to stop talking, and then I can give you the answer you want. Fair?" she asked, raising her eyebrows as if it might be a hard concept to grasp.

Once she was sure he understood what was going on, she moved her hand away from his mouth and sighed. How was she supposed to start? "First of all, my name is Aliyah." That seemed like a good enough place to start, allowing him to know who she was. She was no threat to him, at least, not at the moment. Could she kill him? Most definitely...but in a way, he was of her blood now, and that was fundamentally wrong.

"That thirst? That desire for water? It isn't water that you want..." she whispered, biting into her wrist and then putting it just beneath his nose. "It's blood..." She knew it wouldn't take long before his instincts took over and he attached himself to her wrist, needing the blood that pooled around her wrist. The black color was of little concern, as it still smelled of the blood he so craved, and tasted the same. It just had different appearances.

"You don't have a heartbeat, because you aren't alive. You are a vampire, now..." were the last words she offered, knowing that there was so much more to explain. She would be for him what her own sire never was, that much, she would be sure of. And that would start with cutting ties with his family and fiance, or at least, not seeing them until he had better control. But that conversation could wait.

For now...he needed to feed.

The man was caught off guard when suddenly a hand was over his hand. He thought about it, he just wanted answers, and he was nervous, he tended to babble when that happens. He nodded his head and kept his gaze locked on the woman's. The man sat back for a moment then as he tried to ease his nerves. This wouldn't make it easy for him, or the woman, if he was uptight about this. He will just sit. Wait. And listen.

When he finally found out the woman's name, he repeated it in his mind to remember it. Absently he spoke up, "Forsyth. That's my name." he brought up with a shrug of his bare shoulders. The tall man sat there until he watched her break skin, and the blood.

Oh that smell.. It burned his nostrils, and down his throat. His mouth watered, his gums ached. 'It's blood' stuck in his mind. He wanted blood. The thirst blood. The man just stared at the blood for a moment before he took her wrist and brought it to his lips. He closed his eyes tightly and latched onto the skin, and with faint pain he felt sharpness at his tongue from his teeth. But he didn't pay mind. He just wanted the blood, that's all he could think about.

After a moment he pulled back when he came to reality and stared at her, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. Just staring at her with a blank look in his eyes. Vampire. Vampire. He never believed they existed, all he knew were movies, books, fairytales. That's where he knew them from. But in life. They live, they walk amongst the humans. And now one was in front of him. And now he was one. How could this all be possible? He didn't want to believe it at all.. But the time passed and he figured that he should probably believe it.

"Can I speak now?" He didn't want for her permission, so he spoke either way. "So this means. I have to stay here? Start over? He cleared his throat. At least it wasn't dry, at least the pit of his stomach didn't feel tight. For now. "And, well, you. Um, what are you to me? My maker?" His head tipped to the side as he waited for a response.

As the male drank from her wrist, she committed his name to memory. Her first childe, the first human she had turned into a vampire and his name was Forsyth. A moment to remember, but one she knew would haunt her. She was young by any vampires standards, barely able to care for herself. And now, she had to aid another fledgling. But, much like teen pregnancy in humans, she had to handle the situation the only way she knew how. She would be here for him, help through the transition, accept the struggles that came with being a sire.

A sire. The title made her wince, as it was one she wasn't fully deserving of. But, she had it. Now, she would have another reason to go and turn Pi and Elliot's world upside down. Their little orphan had created her own little orphan. Except, she refused to let him become an orphan. No, she would not be the absent sire that JAeger had become. If Forsyth was willing to have her around, she would be around.

Once the male finally pushed away from her wrist, she licked the wound closed as she had before, cleaning up the excess blood with her tongue. She sat back, leaning against the wall opposite him. The blonde made no move to tell him that he could speak, and when he did on his own accord, she didn't try to stop him. He would be full of questions, and she would need to provide the only answers she had.

"You don't have to stay here, no. But it is safer for you here, yes. You pose a danger to human life, now...especially your family," she admitted to him with a small frown, shrugging up her shoulder as if there was nothing she could do about that. And there wasn't. "As for me...yes, I suppose I am your maker. Most of us use the term 'sire.' Some vampires look at their sire as parental figures, others see them as friends. In any case...from this day forward, you will always be connected to me. My blood moves through your veins, now." She lifted a hand and waved it dismissively, the frown never leaving her lips.

"I'm not gonna lie to you, I have no idea how to be a sire. I never had one. So...you would be how I learn how to be one." She hated herself for admitting it to him, but if he was going to stay in this city, he needed to know that she was not the wealth of information that some of the older vampires were. Sure, she could get it for him between Ric, Pi, and Elliot...but she was still learning how to be a vampire, herself.

He just stared. Stared down at his hands, clenching and unclenching them. It didn't make sense to him at all, but he figured it wouldn't for a while until he lived through another day. If he did. Does this make him a killer now? Kill humans for blood. That's what vampires do, right? Or that was just stories he read, movies he has seen. So many questions, but he knew there was other times to ask. He didn't need to stress the woman any farther. She looked distraught enough as it is.

"If I pose a threat to human life, to my family. I'm staying here. Until you can help me learn how to control this. Because right now I'm still hungry." The gnawing ache at his stomach kept distracting him from the information he was getting. "You didn't kill me.. You could of, and not have to deal with this if you didn't want to be a sire." That's what confused him most, was how she saved him, he could have just been food for her. But in a sense, he was grateful that she gave him a chance, even in this immortal life.

What now ran through his mind after he was done talking, was how he's going to survive here in this city. Where is he suppose to live? What is he suppose to do? He got pushed into living this life without a choice. And he had no way of knowing how to get through it. Of course he didn't want to be a pain to the woman, just by looking at her, he knew that she already had enough on her plate with her own life being a vampire. But he needed to get through this. Even if it was with help. Or just by himself.

Aliyah had to give the male credit for choosing to put his family's safety before his own selfish desires to see them. Not all newly turned vampires were as willing to accept that their families would prove to be more of a problem than a support. In her own case, she had been escaping her family's religious clutches, and so staying in this city had been a sort of reprieve. In the recent weeks, her family had been insistent on seeing her, and they had plans to go come to Harper Rock. Pi and Elliot were in the process of taking care of the cabin, preparing for her parents to comes and see their daughter.

His question on her decision threw her off guard, her blue gaze focusing on this face. He was a cute enough guy, but the distress in his eyes was clear as day. This was a life altering situation she had thrust him into, one that he had no choice in. A raw guilt settled in the pit of stomach. With a sigh, she crawled her way across the floor to settle down beside him. "It's not that I didn't want to be a sire..." she began to explain, canting her head at him. "In this community, I am still an extremely young vampire. My link to my humanity is strong, and I could not just let you die. You didn't deserve that."

Her eyes raised toward the ceiling, shifting her position so that she could rest against the bed. Blonde hair fanned out around her head like a sort of halo, but she was far from innocent or pure. "When I was turned, my sire up and left. I had no one to help me until I finally managed to contact the heads of my lineage...your lineage. I have gotten on my feet, and I am going okay for myself. It is going to be hard, but I won't make you do this alone..." Her words were sincere and true, sure that Forsyth could understand that she was one his side, if he needed someone to lean on. Everything had changed, but he would be okay. She would make sure of it.

"We will take it one step at a time..and right now, you need more blood. The blood lust will drive you mad, otherwise. And you need to learn how to feed without being seen." she explained, turning her head in order to look at him.

"You have to understand it is imperative that you do not get caught. The vampire community operates under complete secrecy here, and you cannot risk it. If you do, it is grounds to get you killed...and I will not be able to save you. Do you understand?"

Eased himself to sit back, to relax. But it was difficult to do so, taking in so much information all at once. It overwhelmed him. Well sure he was alive now, in a way, and still walking. If she didn't change him he would have probably be in the forest still, food to the wild animals that roamed there. So half of him was greatful, but half wished he animal food.

"Well, now I'm the baby here" He was just trying to lighten the mood a little by joking around, flashing a small grin that quickly faded after. He blew out a sigh and rubbed his palms along his jeans. "I sure hope you don't up and leave, trying to figure this out. Probably get myself killed out there if I was on my own right now." He looked at his palms and the blood that covered them, dry blood.

Blood didn't sound delicious. If he was human he'd probably cringe and just walk away from the woman, thinking she was crazy. But he knew that it's what he will need to start eating, as a meal, every day to keep himself alive. "That, you will need to teach me on how to feed. I really don't know how to use my, uh, fangs?" The man finally looked over at the woman with a faint frown, reaching over to squeeze her knee. "I'll stay in hiding for now.. But you know I am going to have to get a job to stay here. I'm not letting you pay for my stay." He brought his hand back to himself in his lap with a soft sigh.

The blonde couldn't help the small laugh as Forsyth referred to himself as the baby. He wasn't too far off, either. In vampire time, physical age meant very little, but it was the years spent as a vampire that mattered the most. A teenager could hold more power in their pinky finger than a full grown adult male that was body builder as a human. It was unfortunate in some ways, but useful in others. She herself could be easily overlooked, but in the vampire community, no one was taken at merely face value.

But, he clearly needed her help and he wasn't going to turn it away. That alone lifted a weight from her shoulders, as she was worried to leave him to his devices had he chose that route. It would not have ended well for him, no matter how hard he might have tried to make it in this place. It could be pretty cutthroat, that much she was learning with each passing day.

His hand on her knee was surprising, but she didn't flinch away from the touch. She had physically cared for the man for a week, it was no time to get anxious about his closeness. "I will show you some methods to get the job done, don't worry. IF you need it, I can meet up with you the next few nights to get your feet under you." It was a solid offer and one that she would surely go through with. He was her childe, after all.

"You obviously can't go out in sunlight, that is no myth. But once we get your hunger under control, you are free to get a job and go about your life here however you like. For the time being, I will pay for this room for you to stay in. Eventually, we will find somewhere better suited for you, okay?" It was not much, really, but it was more than she had ever had. She spent her nights in the abandoned buildings around the city, sleeping through the daylight hours surrounded by dirt and grime.

She stood suddenly, moving across the room to toss him a plastic bag. "I took the liberty of buying you some new clothes, since those are a bit obvious. Why don't you take a shower and clean up, then we wil head out?"
