Before the dashing had truly gone underway, the situation seemed partially diffused, and the bartender was already offering her a new drink... the same drink she'd poured for the now identified Aliyah. Silhouette knew what it was immediately, and couldn't refuse the glass. Her clumsy antics had taken their toll and she felt as if that sanguine drink was all that would steady her.
This was all she could ever drink again? She'd never enjoy food? she'd never have another drink without losing it all over the person nearest to her?
"Thanks" she murmured, her gaze flitted to the woman, the drink and then back to the lowest point she couuld fix it on as she slid reluctantly back onto her stool.
as she lifted this glass, she could feel her throat coaxing her to raise it, if she wanted to stop right now... she knew she wouldn't. The opaque ooze slid from the glass, down her throat and she could feel warmth of satisfaction spreading throughout her stomach.
the glass was drained within seconds and the only evidence of having ever had it at all was a small dot of red which quickly vanished as she licked her lips. She disgusted herself slightly. That substance had once pumped through the heart of a human. A human that she used to be, although she couldn't deny the relief of not being one anymore.
As the blood did it's work, Silhouette's brain-blender slowed and if she had needed a deep breath.. this is where she knew she'd have taken it. An old method to calm her anxiety as a human, aside from time spent with Liam. But that option was now taken from her and as the thought passed her by, she realized she felt nothing. Regardless, now she just needed blood. And that seemed like a better fix than a person any day of the week.

Lofyn hadn't been in a bar since being relieved of her position at the Necropolis. And that had been a very, very long time ago. Still, she knew how to dress for this sort of wintry weather, even with her own dark twist and how she seemed to have outgrown the majority of her wardrobe. She'd gone shopping in a maxi dress for something more suited to a visit to her old friend's bar. Oh, she hadn't seen Pi since she'd worked at the Necropolis, either.
But she still considered the very likeable woman trustworthy, and would allow her to summon her if the need arose. She hoped it wouldn't, but she would permit it to happen if it came with an urgent message, a cry for assistance perhaps. If the woman has called for help during the recent storm, for example. Lofyn would have come immediately. But she had been quite busy, taking care of her two assistants with the dancing company she still managed, taking care of one's broken arm and the other's fractured ribs. They had, thankfully, been somewhere safe, and she was a daywalker, able to withstand daylight at a price.
Lofyn swept through the door easily, right hand trailing through long blonde hair as an easy grin graced her pale pink lips. The jacket she wore looked to be not out of place in an asylum, with its high zipper and large quantity of loops, and the holes which hooked over her thumbs. "
Hello, Pi," she commented airily, almost floating like some sort of gothic fairy towards the bar. She didn't recognize the other two, but then again, she was basically a recluse. She hardly ever recognized anyone in this damn city anymore. "
How've you been these nights? Pleasant, I trust?"
Still, those piercing blue eyes turned to the brunette at the bar beside her, curiosity skimming her form. She'd been in a similar position once. Her mind slipped back to that time - it'd been Pi behind the bar then, too, at the Necropolis, with a man beside her, and they'd both ended up worshiping the porcelain gods. "
Sadly, there's no chance of even mixing it with cocoa powder. I've tried that."

“You are welcome.” Pi said softly, leaning on the bar, her body tilted forward, closing the gap, so she could speak sotte voce. But not too close, not with a strange vampire, not even one so obviously young and so without knowledge of her new biology. Pi had been in this city too long to abandon all caution but had been converted by the humanity of her other half to feel empathy for what had taken place.
No one wanted to come into a bar, with strangers they didn’t know, in a new environment they couldn’t possibly feel safe and throw up all over someone. It just wasn’t done, wasn’t how anyone wanted to be remembered, or to discover something about themselves.
“It takes a while to get used to… but it does. After a while.”
Pi used to think it was a sire’s responsibility to coach their newly turned, but she had learned from her own error that it wasn’t always possible. People (and worse yet, the newly immortalised sort of people) rarely wanted to listen attentively to a long sermon about the details of being vampire. Of the sun (which most assume correctly is a no no), and of feeding and of what their bodies could (and couldn’t do). So she was more magnanimous now of her judgment and served only now, to help when help was needed.
“We here at Lancaster’s are happy to help both our kind and… huma..” she said, the rest of her sentence cut off with the arrival of a woman she hadn’t seen in years. Maybe two, potentially closer to three. Standing straight she smiled her greeting, her eyes curious, cutting to the door behind the woman, then back again as if Vivi would bring with her the childe Pi had lost all those years ago.
Like a woman who had lost a baby, miscarried through misadventure she’d created and regretted. Guilt weighed her down, a reminder, like this one tortured.
“Heath.” Pi said softly, her voice lowering into a register laced with remembrance, as if mentioning the name of the ‘man beside’ her that Vivi remembered would bring the memory of him back to the fore. “It is nice to see you again Viviana… Vivi this is…”
Pi stopped, realising belatedly, she wasn’t equipped with the appropriate information to make an introduction.

The atmosphere had nearly instantly calmed down once the blood slid down her throat, relaxing the esophagus that had rejected other means of sustenance. Pi, voice low and soft, was beginning to speak, assuring her that the sanguine diet became normal... and before she finished a presence entered the room and a weight filled the air (that she was no longer breathing) and a tall, dark-clad blonde entered the bar.. although "entered" was such a bland word for the effortless hovering movement she performed across the floor.. performed as if she were a dancer rather than just walking into a bar.
unfamiliar names slid from Pi's lips but Silhouette didn't hear them, as the look of astonishment on the elf queen's face was concerning to say the least. She tuned back in as she heard a makeshift introduction, incomplete since nobody seemed to know her name. She'd never bothered to tell anyone. Should she use her name or a fake one with her new lifestyle? Was that a lame thing to do? or in the vampire world..was it normal? Did one simply shed their human identity and start anew? Could you ever completely wash away the human inside?
The time was not for philosophy and she knew she didn't want to let go of her humanity.
To this... Vivi.. Silhouette replied, not without severe effort to grin, "I'm Silhouette, nice to meet you" She nodded and seized the grinning and returned to her glass.
What was it the V woman had said? even mixing it with things didn't help? Then she certainly hoped Pi was right and that she got used to the taste. The metallic twinge on her tongue disgusted her slightly, no matter how much better she felt after drinking it.

Lofyn smiled easily as she glanced from Pi to the new, young vampire, this Silhouette. She did not have the instinctive feel of a Grigori, one of the bloodline that she and Pi had distantly in common. A shared ancestor was really as far as it went, where she and Pi were concerned. Both of a similar generation in the line, both Killers like their bloodline progenitor. Oh, it was quite a distinctive thing, being related.
"I no longer use my birth name, Pi," the blonde said neatly, crossing her ankles beneath the bar. "I do not blame you, however, since we haven't spoken in person in years now. I simply wanted to come by, see if you were here. I figured...we haven't spoken in so long, we may as well resume now, yes?"
Blue eyes slid over the young vampire once more. She remembered the early nights. Being so new to the flavor of the blood. She still sometimes had an issue swallowing it down, even if she knew it was donor blood. Animals didn't have the same nourishing flavor for her, either.
"Trust me when I say, this is better than rats, rabbits, and chickens. At least humans have some flavor to them. Even the donated blood tastes better than a sewer rat."

Not knowing what to do with her focus after finishing her blood, Sil took to playing with the loop of her pack by slipping her foot through it and swinging it. Absent fiddling kept her mind busy, especially now that it was buzzing with telepathic powers.
This mystery woman seemed lovely to Sil, so did Pi, for that matter. But, despite these warm and fuzzy impressions, she knew not to expect anything. If vampires still retained humanity... there would still be plenty of them that retained the worst parts. It was always like that in her old life... disappointments at every turn. All her hopes and dreams getting dashed then stamped on.
Decidedly, Sil wanted to try and be better with people and went with the lowest form of comedy she knew.
"well Rats, I'm used to Hare-y situations... but that's some pretty Fowl news." Her mouth twitched uncontrollably and she buried her face downward trying to mask a wide grin that infected her face. Smiles were so rare for Silhouette that she could feel the unfamiliar muscle movement in her face. Puns had always been her weakness.

by Aliyah
It had seemed to take hours before Aliyah finally found the staff shirts that Pi had mentioned in the back office. As she pulled one on, she frowned and looked down at herself. The shirt did not work with the rest of her outfit, at all. In fact, she made a mental note to talk to Pi about getting a better design for the shirts, maybe something to add some flair. Whether she could convince them to do so was unknown.
With a shake of her head, she wandered out of the office to see a new face at the bar with the woman and Pi. She had never met the woman before, but that didn't stop her from claiming her spot and trying to up on the conversation. It was hard to figure out just what the conversation about, but when the discuss changed to the taste of rabbits, it was clear just where it was headed. Her nose wrinkled.
She wasn't sure what there was to say at this point in the conversation, so she glanced over at Pi and shot her a look of confusion. "Thanks for letting me borrow a shirt. I'll wash it and return it to you?" she said in the form of a question. For all she knew, they wouldn't even need it back. But, it was there as an offer in case she needed it.
Her blue eyes switched between the two nameless women and Pi, trying not to let her irritation at a ruined shirt make the rest of her night as equally awful.

Tonight had been a rather slow night for the Backpacker's, something that Charlie chalked up to the fact that it was cold as a witch's tit outside. Usually cold didn't bother Charlie, but the frigid temperatures was beginning to get a little on the old side. She was tempted to print out a picture she had seen online of a middle finger made out of snow as well as the word 'winter' so that she could post it up in the office for her amusement. She was tempted but she didn't do it, mostly because it wasn't really her office to put such things in. It was Elliot's. She just worked here. Or rather - that's how it usually appeared. Charlie didn't have much to do in the way of work. Like now, she was had nothing to do currently. So she stood and began to walk around, chatting to the odd stranger before she made her way to the office again and checked on some things. Then she closed up the office and started down the stairs that would takes her down into the Pub.
The pub that was now almost like another home for her. She enjoyed the sounds of people chatting, playing pool, playing darts, the music - be it the juke box or live - and the sounds of glasses clinking. Charlie's chocolate eyes took in everything, spotting Pi at the bar, Aliyah as well and some other people she didn't know. Charlie made her way over to the bar and leaned against it in the general vicinity of the others waiting as to not interrupt the women in their conversations but willing to join in if they so desired her too.

There really was a lot to appreciate about the bar, but she began to sulk about her inability to eat. She was a chubby human and thankfully that seemed to sort itself out as she'd turned. She felt great, and looked great, she knew that. But she still struggled with self esteem and still retained a habit of wanting to eat when she was feeling nervous.
Explains how thirsty she got perhaps? She shook it off. As a vampire, she was sure the thirst made her nervous rather than the other way around.
Silhouette watched as another woman came in. She felt like there should be a system to follow so she could figure out who was and was not a blood-drinker. She felt her words build in her mind and sent them to toward Pi, then nodded politely at the woman who had entered.
How do I know who is a vampire and who isn't?
She hoped her telepathy worked. She often wondered if maybe she was a dysfunctional telepath.

The door slid open with a soft scrape, a long legged stride carried in the next customer for the pub. Clasping a small, crimson covered paperback before his face, he nudged the door shut again, fixing the dark framed reading glasses on his face. With some effort Yasu drew his gaze away just long enough to pick out a path to a good seat at the bar, then lowered them again as he continued on his way. With a quiet air, he slipped over to the bar, placing his book down for a moment. A bookmark tucked with great care between the pages bore a shape at its edge, the triple aspect of the pagan goddess peeking out in the shape of a full moon resting between two outward facing crescents.
Loosening his scarf, the man slid off his winter coat and the former article of clothing to drape across his lap as he sat, rubbing his throat once over the open collar of his gray dress shirt. With a light motion, he lifted the book again and placed the bookmark aside. It's black form was further adorned with a reverse pentagram in a circle, pointed down to a complex looking rune above a silver four leaf clover design. Hanging by velvet thread, a small and likely fake rabbits foot lay. As he adjusted his grip and thumbed back to his original spot in the text, the title Demonologist became briefly visible.
The man paid little mind to the woman he'd sat next to, or even the other patrons. He seemed lax and patient, in no hurry to have his order filled, but likely not simply loitering either. Just enjoying his new book, it might seem. However a close look would reveal the near silent shift of his lips and how his eyes didn't follow the page. For those more sensitive, the presence of another might have been detectable as clinging to the man himself, an overhanging tormentor invisible and mute to most. Yasu shifted a hand, brushing the side of his neck as he discreetly brushed off this presence in an irritated fashion, only the slightest furrow of his brows to give away his true emotions.
