Without a guiding light (Lexy :P) Kira would most likely go along with making this disappear.

Oh I would work with you guys easy.
What I was getting at was, since David said it was open how we found out about this all, I was planning on exercising some of Zo's weird ways of finding out stuff is all and then say bringing her conclusions to say Mordie or Alex (example) 'Anything like this going on?'

That sounds like a good start.

Moreover, I think Digo would probably be pretty high up on Mordechai's contact list, so that's how we can get Digo involved. Digo would definitely contact Day, because... well, they've worked murders before.

Digo then could put out feelers through his Business Contacts to grab anyone else who wants in. Digo is covert, but only to a point... he will hide his activities from the human population, but not from the Vampire Community (due to sheer brazenness, or because he knows that everyone else already knows what his position will be, or more likely some combination of the two). Someone with their attention on the Vampire Community -- probably either managing their own Businesses, regularly doing evidence hacks, or attending The Middle Road forums (PM for Invite) -- shouldn't have any problems learning what Digo is up to.

If we get too many, David said that we can split off, so we'll just do that. Only so many Vampires can really do one thing before they're noticed anyway.

That's that one sorted, then. Score.

If you guys end up needing anyone else...

*Waves Lia around.*

She wouldn't mind working with her boss, Ria, Zo and Alex. :P

Alex has no idea what happened to Lia :)) We need to have them 'catch up' at some point, lol. ;)

I think we can use this thread to also assess the potential activity of our members. Each person will need to post 4 times in the Event Thread, so if someone isn't participating here, chances are they won't live up to the 4 post requirement on the thread. That said, holidays are coming up... so if some of us are a little less active in the coming days, I think we should cut a little slack. I'll be out of town myself... that has never really stopped me from being active in Path, but I understand other people aren't quite as weird as I am.

So, if we have something as to how we all meet up, we also need to plan our primary method of investigation. According to David:
Mooncalf wrote:Your team cannot split up to pursue multiple leads at once. However, you are free to roleplay one lead not quite panning out, and moving onto something else.
So, we need to settle on our "winning" method. He has noted that we can pursue multiple methods that don't pan out before coming to our final method (and that twists may actually help our thread be chosen), but assessing what skills we have would probably be a next logical step here. We can also try to settle on some failing methods too to spice things up.

Wendigo has a number of strengths. From greatest to least, I'd say:
  • Digo is primarily a businessman these days. He has four fully-developed businesses in the areas of medicine, information technology, engineering, and politics. He has enough contacts (and enough money) to locate and buy a lot of information, and would literally drop a million dollars this second without hesitation if it meant guaranteeing that he was the first to find the Reporter and their information.
  • He is also a great B&E specialist, with shadow and illusionist powers to bolster this. What Digo can't buy, he steals. Sometimes he steals things just because it's cheaper or more discreet to do so.
  • While not a grid-based strength, perhaps, Digo is completely without remorse, attachment, or pity. While he feels that torture isn't an effective way to gather information, he would do absolutely terrible things to the associates of the Reporter (or their families) without thinking twice about it. If he thinks it will get him what he needs to guarantee the safety of the Vampire Community, he will do things that would turn the stomachs of all but the most depraved Vampires.
  • He is a solid combatant with powers to support combat. He can even bring down or scare off Lionelli Overlords about 1/3rd of the time. If it comes to taking anyone by brute force, he will be effective and ruthless.
  • He is a decent tracker with some powers to support tracking. We can't track the reporter directly, but if we get associates, we should be able to track them. I think other people will be better at this though.
  • In a pinch, Wendigo has powers that will bolster his ability to interrogate humans. He can Read Memories, Intimidate, and Confuse. Hopefully someone is going to be more social than he is though.
