And it could bring new things that they haven't seen before, too, in Eve's opinion.Velveteen wrote:Actually, Vel would likely be against this. =P Widening the veil means more monsters coming through which means more army and human investigations and all those things she would like to avoid.
I do think it'd be interesting to read though, one way or another.

I might be new, but I think this is an awesome idea to get a lot of people involved. And its a super interesting one to boot. Also, opposition is only natural, especially when you already have opposing forces, so paladins and the like are obviously going to get in on this in some way. I'm down. It'd give my lady something to work toward.Prudence wrote:Side thought:
Can there be a bigger plot to this? As in two different teams? Just a random thought. You know, if anyone on an oppositional side got wind of this. I don't think any of mine would be against widening the veil, but maybe a group of paladins or the like would be?

Most interesting. Zodiac has always had a fascination/fear on the concept of the SR, so I am sure she would be more than willing to assist some aspect of this process.
Some day I'm gonna be happy. I don't know when just now

Ah, yes, I did say that, but then I talked to Habs-player and we figured out a little something about that, but thank you for the idea!CharlotteC wrote:You know... I was thinking about this this morning after I had a little sleep. I think I remember you said something about how the only char you have that could pull something like this off was a char that you didn't know if he even would. So I was thinking, what if he didn't mean too... what if it was a side effect of doing something else? (My Random *** idea for the day)
Also, either way, I know that I would like to add Ursa to the mix because ripping the veil a new one sounds like something right up her evil alley lol.
This would be really interesting to explore.Side thought:

As would these. In both directions: Either trying to directly oppose the expansion or by working in tandem with the group(s) tearing things up by working to get rid of the police/military presence already in the city or preventing more arriving. And it could bring new things that they haven't seen before, too, in Eve's opinion.
The arrival of more, or potentially new beasties (someone mentioned werewolves the other day when I mentioned this idea in chats) could be a lot of fun to write once they arrive (that would need to be a David thing - a possible result of the impact).
I'm really glad that this idea seems to have acquired so much interest so quickly and it's something making me even more keen to push on this and see it through to fruition and completion.
Could this be a chapter? Is it big enough for that? Is it even possible?
Habren's. Then. Now. Always.

Pretty sure The David was a big old no on there ever being any werewolves. Not sure if that was all lycanthropes or just wolf shapeshifters although... never hurts to ask. As far as the chapters go... why not? I get the impression he has several already planned out to cover the first few years but if he really digs the idea maybe he could work it in somewhere or have it be something that happens between two of his planned out chapters.

Yeah I think I read somewhere that he wasn't into the werewolf idea... Sadly... I would love that so much. But I'd dig it as a chapter.

I always thought monsterous form could have been a werewolf looking thing. I always have Kira being werecatish thingy.
Since the fear of dying outside the veil, I'm sure Kira would be into this. (at least expand it to where Lexy/Kira biker buddies are at lol )

Wendigo would be against this as well. He has spent a long time researching how to permanently CLOSE the Veil so that vampires who are killed are banished forever... that's his solution to the overpopulation problem (and many others).Prudence wrote:Ooooo. Tia would be in for that. Of course she'd aim to be not be on the front line. More like that shadowy figure that gets the wheels turning.
