He had been there once, and it had been nice enough. Not exactly his scene, but he had read on CrowNet that it had just opened. Being a vampire-run business, he’d wanted to show up and give a little bit of support. But Az was a bit of an odd duck for the vampiric community – you see, he did not cultivate enemies in the way so many seemed to enjoy. His primary goal was to see the flourishing of his people, not just the Dragomir nor just one path. He promoted unification with the fervor of a religious man, even if he hadn’t touched a holy text in years. That stance had taken him, for the most part, out of the same world he attempted to promote.
Going back would hopefully prove fun, especially with new faces and some old friends there.
When he got the text, he smiled to the screen and shot off one of his own to Nikolae specifically detailing the exact location and time. Something told Az that if he were to actually summon his sire, it wouldn’t go well. The older Dragomir could be touchy about that sort of thing – always had been, really. Azraeth assumed it had something to do with being forced to give up control. Or maybe it was the disorientation of being pulled from one location to another. The Mystic couldn’t honestly have said, but he felt he was better off safe than sorry. Besides, it would grant Nikolae the chance to back out if the Handle Bar turned out to be a place that didn’t pique his curiosity.
He didn’t get a response back from Kynan, so Az made the assumption the Dragon Hound was up to no good doing something else. No matter the case, Raeth didn’t feel comfortable summoning anyone without their prior consent, so he simply texted the man the location and time of the meeting. If the newly turned Welshman wanted to show up, he had the opportunity to do so.
After his phone went dark, he stuffed it into his jacket. He’d already strapped his ceremonial dagger into place so that it laid against his ribs under his shirt. Concealed, he could grab it if need be, though he didn’t really use it as a weapon so much as a device to help him summon spirits or things of that nature. He decided to walk there, because the bar was really only a short distance from his apartment. Once here, he ducked into an alleyway. He made sure to select a dark corner, and then he drew Andrew to him from across space. As if he were folding the entire world to make them stand side by side. Bearing in mind it was likely Andreas’s first such trip, he grabbed the man’s wrist, and gave a tug towards the building.
“Sorry for how abrupt that is.” He commented, a he glanced side-long towards his progeny.
The parking lot had a few motorcycles in it, and when Az pushed his way through the door, he almost immediately caught sight of Prudence, easy as she was to spot, and there was a blond with her, one he recognized from the team raid the group had won. The conversation with Lorelai had been a brief one, but according to Pru – Az had managed to come across as ‘stuffy’. Which honestly didn’t surprise him, he tended to be on the fussy side with people, and few knew him for more than the persona he intentionally wore in public. He was comfortable in helping anyone, but he didn’t open up easily to new acquaintances.
Maybe that was an unfair or hypocritical dichotomy, but it didn’t change how the past had shaped him.
So he waved to the women and…DEAR GOD THAT GUY WAS HUGE.
Az hadn’t seen Mordechai at first, and then he wondered how he hadn’t seen Mordechai first. The guy was built like a brick house and tall. Azraeth’s own twin brother was a killer, and he would have laid down all of his cash right at that moment he was looking at another of the men who walked that particular path. Of course, he had no clue who the guy was, but he took it to be someone Prudence knew. He made his way over to the grouping with a little wave of his hand. “Evening, folks. I may have a couple more people coming, but this is Andreas. He calls himself Andrew, but I’m pretty sure that’s wrong.” He introduced. And then recalled that not everyone knew him.
“Oh, and I’m Azraeth, for those who I’ve not met yet.”
