The thought of putting Seren in the bathroom did cross her mind, briefly, but it past just as quickly as they turned down the hall away from it. “No, but you will prolly have to shower in there eventually. Honestly, it’s not that bad.” She turned when they got to the room and turned the handle, stepping inside. “I bleached it,” she quipped without even processing the thought that maybe Serry didn’t want to go in there because it was tainted some how. Clearly Momento didn’t mind. “This is your room for the duration. I hope you like it, because the other is all orange and I’m not sure how you’d feel about that. I figured black with pink would be good for you.” Melody realized after she said it that she’d just alluded to the fact she’d redone the room just for Serry and scowled at herself in her own mind. She didn’t really want her to know that she went to any extra lengths, but wasn’t that obvious already? Probably.

“You can use the dresser for your clothes and the closet space. It’s all yours. In fact you can keep this room for good if you want it. But I specifically removed the traps outside the door so if you’re going to, let me know, so I don’t add them back.” Momento pursed her lips slightly and shrugged. “Or you can put them down and I guess they won’t blow up in your face. Whatever you’d prefer.” She turned on her heel and canted her head slightly as she looked around the room. She liked the carpet at least. “When you’re settled we’ll continue with the tour. You’ll get to see the whole place for the first time ever. You should be happy.” Melody tried not to snap that part, but it came off kind of bitchy anyway. Damn woman wouldn’t stop wondering, getting herself blow to pieces, and Mome wasn’t sure this would sate her curiosity to prevent it in the future, but it was worth a try.

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--

Serendipity: A frown crossed her features as they continued to their destination. She thought about her words and a chill moved through her body. Wasn’t there anywhere else to shower in this huge place? Surely there had to be. Why was she so dead set on Seren using that one? She sighed and then spoke, mainly because she had no other choice for the three day period. "Yes ma'am".

She then entered the room with Momento, listening as she spoke. A grin moved over her lips. She had caught what Mome had said. Not only had she went through all the trouble of making her a room up but she had removed all the traps as well. Now, Momento was a complicated person and Seren had gotten to know and understand that over the time they had been friends. She was kinda lost in just those two thought alone because, to some it would mean nothing. To Seren, that was love. Momento had went through quite a bit of trouble. She was never one to show love nor care and if she had done all this. That was all that Seren needed to hear, though, making a huge deal out of it was a very bad idea and so, a nod was given and she beamed a smile and spoke. "This looks amazing, Mome. Thanks."

Moving to the bed, Seren set her bags down and then moved to the door by her once again and shrugged. "Not like it was exhausting to get here or anything so, Im good. We can continue any time you like..... Besides, Im kinda interested and anxious to see the rest of this place." She tried to speak that calmly though her insides we giddy. She was like a kid in a candy store. She had never seen the entirety of Autumns Veil before and now, for the first time, she was going to see the entire thing and all its beauty and wonder. This was indeed a great day.

Momento: A purse of her lips and a nod of her head and she lead Seren out of the room and down the hall, passing the bathroom the other seemed to be absolutely against, and moving towards the only room in her house that was all designed for her. As in, it wasn’t an obvious typical room, not even a game room. Melody still wasn’t sure about this, but Seren might like the room as much as she once did, plus she’d sworn her secrecy, so there was little to fear. Without a misstep she pushed the buttons on the keypad and opened the door.

It was all dark, but pristine as Momento could keep it. A piece of herself long lost in this one room. She flicked her wrist and the lights and music sounded instantly like an explosion of colors, sounds, and thumps from the speakers. The light hum of the twisting pole on stage couldn’t have been heard without vampire ears. “Code is 26 32 24. This is my own personal club, complete with bar I can’t use and stage. Hasn’t been used in a very long time. When you want to shut all this off, you’ll have to find the switches behind the bar. It’s only snap-activated by my presence.” Melody didn’t put emotion into her words and didn’t talk louder than normal, even though it was loud with the music beating into the room, she knew Seren could hear her. “We won’t be staying in here, though, we’ve a lot of the house to go.”

Serendipity: As the other followed close through the long house, she couldn't help but to look around, ignoring the bathroom completely as they passed it by. It wasn't that she had not already seen all of this before, but today, it all seemed somewhat new. This was now a very exciting day with Momento. Something new. She had always wondered about this mysterious place. Even Ty had seen more of it than she had, she was sure. They, after all, had to scout the place out on more than one occasion to get to Serendipity. They had to know it by now, right?

They had now stopped and Momento was pressing buttons on a keypad. She tried not to look in case the woman did not want her to see the code. Respect and all. As they entered the room, however, nothing could have prepared Seren for what happened. There was music, bass, an explosion of colors, everything Seren would have wanted for herself. All in one room was everything that Momento should have hated. All in her house. Seren was in heaven, of course. It was perfectly her atmosphere. Momento spoke and through all the music, she heard her clearly. Making a mental note of the code, Seren nodded her head gently and spoke back. “Got it. I love it here, though im sure you don’t really.” She was trying to get her to explain, yes but doing it in a way that she wasn’t pushing. The door was open and should she walk through it, Serry would listen. If not, she would just drop it for now and continue on though she was very curious now. “Lead the way, boss.” Seren commented, trying to stay casual though she was so confused, excited and curious it was killing her.

Momento: ”You can go back there anytime you want, when you aren’t with me, or even perhaps when you simply want to visit the house. I don’t keep that room trapped. There isn’t reason too.” She gave it another look and snapped her fingers, watching everything die in an instant. There was a look of sadness and a heavy heart for a moment before she turned and walked out of the room. “It hasn’t seen much of anyone in a long time.” She commented before moving the way down the hall. She didn’t want to get into it, but it was the first glimpse into the past life of Melody that Serendipity would get and all of the questions would lead to more questions, so it was easier to answer them all later, she figured. But, really, it had more to do with not wanting to confront the creature she was now, not yet anyway. She lead the two to the open computer area and waved her hand in the general direction of bookcases and desk. “Computer room. Though I haven’t had reason to use this one down here in a long time, we won’t be spending much time in the command center. Which is where you’d normally go in my house.”

Momento didn’t stop this time, knowing that it wasn’t anything really special or to really see, beyond maybe the anatomy books, which would likely give Serendipity nightmares if she really thought about it too much. So instead she lead them back to the entry and then into the living room. “We do have cable, you can watch whatever you want, but I don’t pay for movie or porn channels and no you can’t have the access code or my credit card number to get them.” She leaned against a wall and pushed at a secret panel that slid back into the wall, opening into another room. “And this is Sliver and I’s bedroom.” She turned the light on and a heavy weight settled itself over her. She missed him so much. Her gun and his blade lay across their respective dressers and she pet her gun lovingly before moving to yet another panel. “This leads to my ritual room. Nothing special, but were doing a full tour.”

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--

Serendipity: A nod of her head was given as she heard that she could use it anytime and while the thought sounded fun initially…. No one would be there to have fun with her. That thought quickly faded then and off they went to the next part of the house. The computer room. Typical computer room though still fascinating. She didn't figure Mome was one to have such a room. She figured most rooms in the place were more torture rooms than anything else but, knowing Mome, who could blame Seren for her thoughts? Momento was just kind of like that. She liked torture and she liked pain. It was her thing.

“It’s a very nice computer room” Seren commented as they moved from it and into the living room. The living room was beautiful. Little splashes of both Momento and her long lost friend Sliver. She dearly missed him but never said anything because she knew, as much as she missed him, it was agony for Momento and she would never bring him up in her presence. Bringing up pain like that was not something Seren was about to do to someone that she loved. Pain like that just lingered.

She was so lost in her thoughts about it all, she barely heard her, until she said no porn. “I have my own card, man. I can put it on there, I promise! What's cable with no ******* porn? Come on, Mome. Be reasonable here….” She was only partly kidding, if that. Seren just wanted to get a rise out of Momento mostly. It was always fun and while she was trying to behave, a shot at her here and there was still going to happen. All joking stopped though when she opened the bedroom. She could hear it in her voice. See it on her face. That long pushed aside pain. It was scratching its way to the surface. Same with Seren though. Sliver and her were together a lot before Momento was brought into this life, not in any way but friends though. They had a lot of fun. Sliver kept her occupied so her brain wouldn’t think about how miserable she really was back then. A place she was going back to here and there in recent times. He was crazy and she adored him. They always thought of new and creative ways to wreak some havoc. Her eyes settled on the blade and she frowned inwardly, even as Momento pressed the panel for the ritual room.

Finally, her eyes tore away from the blade and she forced that smile she was getting good at and then nodded her head. “This place is fantastic” She commented, trying her best to lighten the mood in the place now. She could feel the pain in the room, feel Momento’s sadness and while it was nothing new, it was harder now than ever before. This tour that Seren was so excited about, it now became a reason for Mome’s sadness. She spoke softly. “We can stop you know. We have plenty of time. We don’t have to do the entire tour now. It’s really fine.”

Momento: “No,” she paused and lifted her head. “It’s fine. This room is the worst and we’re almost out of here. In fact, lets go.” She flicked her hand and pointed back the way they had come, taking the lead once more. The pity in Seren’s face was worse than just about anything, but damn it this was necessary. Where she was then and where she is now all became in this house. Without a doubt there was no way around that. That was just part of why they were doing this in the first place. The fact that the club came as such a shock was only part of it. Everything here was so normal besides the bathroom and she was positive that wasn’t what anyone expected out of her, and she couldn’t believe it herself really. She’d been killing for so long, but was that because she needed too, wanted too, or because she didn’t know how to be what she was before she was turned. Sliver had changed her so much in such a short time, but she loved it. Loved being with him. Loved him without reason or warning or consideration. And it didn’t matter now. Her heart was heavy as she made her way to the room with the secret panel to the upstairs.

When they finally got to the second floor she pushed back the present and tried to get back into the mindset of the past. She’d really been a decent human being at one point. Serendipity could see that, now, that she wasn’t all murder and mayhem in her past, but she wasn’t sure if she could accept it. Hell Melody couldn’t accept it. “This is the main second floor entry. Just a few couches and more bookcases. Some plants, whatever. I keep this trapped to the hilt usually.”

She didn’t stay in that room long and instead moved to the next room, walking down the hall and pointing out the closet for storage, which she passed right by, knowing there was nothing but blankets, pillows, towels, and a lot of other crap she’d thrown in there so it was out of the way. She thought there was even a christmas tree in there somewhere, but she couldn’t remember. At the end of the hall she opened a door and stepped inside. “This is the game room. Pool sticks are on the wall, dartboard is over there, and I know there is a deck of cards around here somewhere for the poker table. And yeah, that is an air hockey table in the corner.” She didn’t add the ‘but I haven’t had anyone to play any of this with in forever’ though it was clearly implied. Seren knew she didn’t have any friends, except for her, and she hadn’t seen it before. It was pretty obvious. Another pang of regret pinched in Melody’s stomach and she moved on without so much as turning off the lights. This tour was down right depressing and for more than her loss of Sliver or Lizzie.

Serendipity: As Seren moved behind the woman, walking out of the room, she had to feel some regret because she knew she had not done what she had set to do. Hide the expressions on her face. The pain. The regret. The pity. Mome saw through it. Usually she did though. She was good at that when it came to Serendipity Olivia Croft. There wasn’t much she could do that Mome didn’t either know about ahead of time or figure out or see through. That in itself brought more regret, however. The way she saw through her to the core and saw the pity this night. Instead of speaking though, she just nodded and followed her out of the room. “Still a magnificent place, honey. Really.” She was still trying to lighten the mood, somehow.

They continued about their tour, passing the storage and on into the game room. It looked pristine. Not the kind where things had been cleaned every day, even for a year. Polished till it couldn’t be polished anymore. No. This was the look of brand new things or as close as it got without actually being new. Still, Seren’s eyes scanned the room, looking over everything. Some things, she could actually see Sliver in her mind using. Others, she couldn’t even picture Momento any where near them. In some ways, they were two of a kind, Mome and Sliver. Other ways, she just had to question, though it didn’t matter. Jan and her were alike in almost every way but, they had their difference of opinions on things here and there too. It was all a part of being individuals. “I like the air hockey table and the dartboard.” She commented softly, hoping it would spark some kind of conversation other than the tour but knowing, it probably wouldn't even get a response. She could tell how hard this was for the woman she loved more than almost anyone and it was paining her to feel it but, she carried on, following ever patient behind her. Ever her shadow in a house that was now more of a mystery than before, as was Momento.

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--

Momento: Momento thought to herself something along the lines of ‘maybe we’ll play at some point’ but didn’t speak it. She wasn’t going to make promises she couldn’t keep like others had in her life. She didn’t want to do that to her friend when she knew how much it would hurt to have it broken. Perhaps not in the same context, but the principle was the same. “Come, this way.” Melody lead the two down the hall the way they came, turning down the main hall this time, making her way to the split off rooms on either side of her. She picked the one to her left and opened the door. Inside was a lot of cases with chatski’s, collectible swords, and even a case with some older looking riffles from past wars.

It looked a bit weird with the weapon collection mixed in with the fragile knick-knacks, a mix of past and present in one room, but Momento had enjoyed it and still did, sometimes. She actually had been waiting for this room, because she’d kept a gift for her friend in it, but she debated now if Seren would even like it. Scowling at her own indecision she walked up to a case, opened it, and pulled a snowglobe off the shelf. “I got you something, because it reminded me of you.” She wasn’t even sure why it had reminded her of Serendipity, but it did. Shifting on her feet she closed the cabinet after handing the object to its new owner.

Serendipity: As she followed her, Seren couldn’t stop herself from thinking about the club that was in the house. Why? There had to be a reason. Momento would be so out of her element, or so she thought, in a place like that. Why would she put something like that within her own home. It was so confusing and although she desperately wanted to ask her about it, she held herself back. She had already had such a trying day. There was no reason to add to it. Maybe in time, but not now. This was not the time for such things, just like it wasn’t the time to talk about Sliver.

She follow close at her heels of the hostess for the three day duration and down the hall to the next place on the tour they moved. When they arrived, Seren’s eyes scanned the items and a smile moved over her lips to one of the old rifles. Seren was a girly girl but one thing set her apart from most. Her love of weapons. Not just guns, knives and swords too but, her love of guns outweighed any other. They were incredible. Every piece of them. Just to touch one, especially old ones. The history behind the gun was something that always made her wonder. Fascinating. Wonderful. Mysterious. Like her friend Momento.

She was brought from her thoughts and memorization of the items from that all too familiar voice of the woman within the room. Finally, she turned to look at her and then, her eyes cast upon the gift. The smile that was there before from the guns and various melee weapons got even wider now. A gift? How un-Momento like and yet, a completely welcomed and sweet surprise. This was a different side of her that she was seeing since entering the house. One that she welcomed with an open heart and open arms. It was the softer side of Momento. “It’s beautiful and lovely, Mome. The butterflies are just amazing and the colors are beautiful.” She looked up to her and smiled a heartfelt smile. “I love it. Thank you.”

Momento: Melody took a sense of pride in the fact that her friend liked the gift. It wasn’t like she did this all the time, hell the last gift had started an argument for the ages, so for Seren to actually like the gift really meant a lot, even to the cold hearted Momento. “I’m glad,” she said with ease. “Let’s get the rest of this floor done. You’ve seen the top floor already a million times and we’re almost done here.” She turned around and walked out of the room. Making her way now across the hall she opened the doors, but didn’t enter. “Bedrooms. Incase of guests. Which isn’t likely.”

She then moved to the end of the hall, the last room in the house she hadn’t seen. When she opened the door this time it didn’t make sense really at all, until you remembered that she was human once. A kitchen. Complete with fridge, table, chairs, stove, counters, and cabinets. “That’s the end of the tour, since you know where the portals are and stuff.” She turned to face Serendipity and then made her way back downstairs.

She didn’t stop amongst the rooms or anything, she made her way straight to Serendipity’s room and stopped, she’d wait for Seren to catch up. “I think thats enough for tonight. So I’m going to head to bed. You know where everything is.”

Serendipity: The air in the room became calm. She could feel it. There was a small sense of peace that hung in the air now and as she spoke, Seren happily nodded. It was good to have Mome calm again. It had been a trying night for her already. Seren continued to examine her new found gift but only a moment as Mome’s voice rose up and out once again. Sere took hold of her precious gift and then followed her through the floor to the new room. “So many rooms. I’ll never keep them all straight.” She commented and she believed that. Hell, she had her own fortress like place but had not even had the inside decorated yet. She knew even though it was hers, she would still get lost in it as well and it had been preventing her from getting to work on it like she should. That and neither Jan nor Momento had inserted their foot in her *** and made her. Most of the time, thats what it took.

Now, they were at another door at the end of the hallway. The door opened and a relaxed and happy sigh left Seren. She had been extremely nervous that there would not be a kitchen. She didn’t like not living on food. Food was something to her that she felt she had to have. She needed it. She couldn’t be like others within the city and simply live on blood. Her system needed food and to live in someones house for three days that didn’t eat human food, she thought this would be the one thing that broke her spirit. Either that, or there would be a lot of deliveries to that address over the three day stay. She looked to Momento and, as usual, taking a shot where she could she spoke “What? No work-out room? I figured there would be a gym somewhere.” She grinned and then, she walked past her. Seren smirked, waiting in the hallway and then followed, doing her best to keep up with her as they walked back to her room and then, she nodded to her. “Sleep well, Momento. Ill see you in the morning. Thank you again for my beautiful gift. I really do love it. Love you.” She commented and then slipped inside her room to her bed and into her suitcase she went. She didn’t expect her to say anything back so she didn’t wait for the response. Instead, she just began looking for her pajamas, unpacking her things and getting ready for bed. She was emotionally tired as well now.

The night was exhausting, yes, but it wasn’t really sleep that she’d wanted. She wanted Serry to sleep so that she wouldn’t get caught sneaking out of her own house to find someone to lop into bits. She didn’t actually go after humans all the time and right now it wasn’t worth the effort, so instead she went after the Jogo’s not to far from Rapture. After she’d shot, cut, and ripped a good dozen of them up she felt that strain in her muscles telling her she needed true rest. Without so much as a waver in her step she pulled out the tome and activate the portkey to take her home. This time, though, she walked down stairs instead of up and popped herself in the shower after taking a towel with her to the bathroom.

Once she was clean, spotless really, she checked her skin for any new wounds or scars thats she may have acquired in the fights. Nothing really needed attention. A glimpse in the glass of the shower showed her ‘true’ form of an already corpse like creature and she grimaced. Her beauty was much better without mirrors of any kind. She scoffed at that image, grabbing her towel and heading for her bedroom at the end of the house.

She’d dressed in pajamas, a shocking concept, but she knew she’d hardly sleep. She hardly ever slept anymore. Their bed still smelled like him and that was conducive to tears, not sleep. Momento would always try to fight that feeling, but it was hard and it hurt too deep, and in the end she had let a few tears slip down her cheeks. Sleep came to her this night though just as the sun peeked over the horizon and for the first time in months she didn’t dream of Hans or Lizzie. A small reprieve in heartbreak and loneliness.

Melody was in a wide open field, cherries in a perfectly etched glass bowl on a lovely little blanket, her mind registering that it was a picnic, for her, and she sat almost reluctantly. The sun was bright and warm, her skin was a lovely healthy glow, and by damned she was going to sit and enjoy this moment. So she did. Eating her cherries and watching the sun move in the sky. The breeze on her face and the birds in the air, the bees buzzing and the simplicity of being human once more. She’d missed this, so much. When the sun began to set in her dream, though, she could feel the fangs growing in her mouth and her skin literally started to rot off the bone, falling to pieces bit by bit.

Until she woke up, screaming.

After Momento had left the room, Seren unpacked her things, putting them all away. She placed the new present on the dresser by her bed. She was still stunned by the gift she had received from her dear friend... and confused a bit. Momento didn't give gifts. She wasn't the gift type of person. Getting this gift from her was not only confusing and strange but amazing. She was very happy to get it. It would grow to be one of her most prized possessions, she was sure due to the sentimental value.

Her pajamas were now on, thought she hated it, her clothes were put away and so, she laid down. She was restless a bit and yet, exhausted. She had a very emotionally and stressful day. Her eyes closed eventually though and she drifted off. Momento escaping into the city didn't even register with her. She was too far into the dream like state to be pulled out.

Serendipity hardly ever remembered her dreams. She always knew she had them, of course, but never remembered them. Maybe for a few moments after waking but, they were fleeting at best. That place where you're still asleep and waking. You still remember dreaming. Then, your eyes open and, there is nothing? That's the way it always was for her. She hated that.

There was no telling how long she had been asleep, peacefully. No telling what she was dreaming either. She was just asleep on her side, facing her new gift on the dresser when all of the sudden, a scream reigned through the house. Her eyes popped open and she shot out of the bed like a both of lighting. Her eyes took just a second, as did her brain to remember where she was and then, celerity active, she was at Momento's bedroom door.

She listened on the other side of the door, careful not to startle her, though she herself was scared out of her mind. She had never heard her make a noise like that before. She heard nothingness. Wasn't odd though. Mome was a quiet individual. Sometimes, she would be right behind her and she wouldn't have a clue she was there. She tapped on the door, knocking lightly. "Momento honey? Its Seren..... Are.... Are you okay? Can I come in?" Soft and caring voice. Nothing startling. She had to look at her. Make sure she was okay.

That high pitched scream would have awoken the dead and there was now something definitely wrong, she just wasn't sure what. The gift, the tour, now this. What was going on lately? Was Momento leaving? Was she going away and making final preparations? Now, a stressful nightmare, perhaps? This had not been Momento like this night and now this. Something was completely amiss in this fortress like house and now, Seren was determined she was going to get to the end of it. Maybe not tonight. Maybe not tomorrow. Soon.

She heard Serendipity at the door. She could swear she did. But all Momento could see was her skin melting off her bones and flesh hanging off in chunks, blood didn’t pour from them, though, they were rotting. She was rotting. Her arms were falling apart and she could see bone in places. Her fingers were nothing but bone as she clawed at herself, trying to pull off the decaying parts. Like cutting out the gangrene before it spread, but this wasn’t a disease. It wouldn’t stop the sight or the wounds.

Melody was sobbing now, screaming again in frustration as she tried to rip off the chunks and they wouldn’t come off. She was in between fully awake and the dream and she could just SEE herself falling apart. Even if she couldn’t really see anything in the pitch black room. She’d left some nasty looking claw marks in her own skin, but she wasn’t really understanding that. She was under the impression she was ripping off the rotting parts. The parts that turned her beautiful form into this monster that she saw. That she was. A ******* zombie. That’s what she associated it with. The nasty kind on the TV too. A walking corpse that was decaying as it attacked for blood and flesh and....

She fell out of bed in her haste to kick the covers off and get the hell out of the room, away from the sights and sounds and thoughts of herself in such a position, hitting the marble floor face first with enough force to break her nose in a gush of blood at the same moment she blacked out.

Serendipity was in the hallway, waiting for a reply. For anything. Any sign that Mome was not only paying attention but also listening and awake. She hear nothing for a moment. Nothing at all. No noise. She could, however, hear some movement. It was concerning but not anything to break down the door about. There was no telling what might be going on on the other side. It was, after all, her private bedroom. While Seren wouldn't care about someone busting down her bedroom door and barging in, Momento was a whole other story.

It wasn't too long that she had waited and she heard the sobbing. That made her heart hurt. What was worse, before she could even knock on the door, the screaming started. Serendipity's eyes widened and panic set in. She was about to open the door, mere seconds later regardless of where it was nor who it was, when she heard a crash. That was it. Permission or not, she was barging in.

She flung the door open and was horrified at what she saw. Momento, on the floor, a bloody mess. Seconds and Seren was at her side. "Mome. Honey.... what happened?!" Not like she was going to get a response. She was out. Seren frowned and shook her head. "Baby...." She sighed and then quickly moved to the bathroom of the house, not even thinking about that awful room that normally frightened her and grabbed a towel. Wetting it, she grabbed another dry one and moved back to the bedroom. She was mentally thanking the universe that she had discovered how to move so fast. Celerity was great.

Back in the room, she picked up the bloody mess that was Momento and moved to the bed with her. Laying her down, she began to clean her face, speaking softly. She was trying to get her to wake up. "Momento. Honey.... It's Seren..... can you hear me? I need you to wake up, babe." She frowned, trying her best to get all the blood and then, she noticed all the scratches. She frowned even more. What in the hell had happened in this room to make all these scratches and her face like this? Seren didn't understand and now, she was terrified but doing her very best to keep calm as she wasn't sure what she was going to find when Momento awoke, if she awoke at this point.

Re: Wild Growth (Serry/Mome)

When you blackout, there is nothing. You do not have dreams, your mind doesn’t work, you are gone. For those moments when you lose consciousness you do not exist in any world. When you wake you have to take a moment to figure out where you are, what you were doing, and above all you have to remember to stay laying down. If you stand up, there is about a seventy percent chance you’ll blackout all over again. Your body has been traumatized. But when you wake and you remember nothing your natural instinct is to get away from whatever caused you to blackout. When it’s just yourself you still try to run, which is completely illogical, but you don’t know what else to do unless you fight to stay put.

Momento was the type that when she awoke, she flailed. There was someone here, someone was going to hurt her, she was going to hurt herself, and she lashed out. There weren’t words accompanying her, she didn’t have the mind power for that yet, but she felt that urge to get away. To run. When she realized to was Serendipity it was like the lights in her head came back on and she furrowed her brow, looking herself over and Seren and taking deep breaths. Just to keep herself calm. “What... Oh. I...” Momento sighed and pulled herself away from Seren as best as she could. The touch thing wasn’t going to help and she didn’t want to be coddled.

“I’m okay Serendipity. It was just a nightmare.” She tried to brush it off, but she didn’t dare stand up and she didn’t want to kick Serry out, she felt that was almost wrong to do to her since she’d had to deal with it too. Momento did understand caring, and stuff, but it was hard for her to put herself in Seren’s shoes. To see from her point of view. Right now she wished she could, because it looked like Serry might have lost her **** a little bit. In fact the towels confirmed that. She’d gone into the dreaded bathroom of doom? Yeah. Serry had to be seriously spooked to go in there. Momento looked down at herself and didn’t see anything wrong, but her face still hurt. The quick vampire healing process would have it taken care of soon either way. “I’ll be fine. Really. I’m always fine after.”

When the woman began to wake up, she watched her carefully. She could flail. Hit. Scream. Seren would take it but that was because she understood the disorientation. It wouldn't bother her nor would it detour her. This was her friend and she loved her, regardless of how Momento felt, though.... There was a part of Serendipity that knew, no matter how the woman acted nor what she did or said, she loved her just as much. Needed her as much. Maybe more. Momento was an enigma. She was also very broken, like Seren.

As the woman pulled away, Seren sighed, towel in hand and nodded. She knew it would happen. It was Mome's way of things. No touching. After all, she hugged her once and poor Jan.... He took the brunt for that. Lost his poor leg for a bit. Little psycho that she was. But, it was her way. Everything kinda had to be her way or she went nuts. Seren accepted that, which was odd in itself because Seren herself was very spoiled, self centered and selfish. Everything had to be her own way in her world. She always seemed to concede to her. It just made things easier and made more sense.

"It's fine. As long as you are okay, Momento. I worry, you know that." She commented as she looked in her direction and then, made the mental note to grab everything up as she slid off the bed. She began to pick up the towels and such she had used to clean her up and then looked to her, standing at her bedside. "If you need me, Ill be in my room. I know you. I know you want your privacy." She frowned at that thought. She wanted to hold her. Comfort her. It was in her nature. It was hard to fight against her nature but around her, she was left little choice. Then again, they were stuck together for three days. She could force it on her. Then again, she was pretty sure in that case, things would get awfully bloody.

"I love you, you know. You can talk to me if you need to. You know where I am." She commented and then vanished out the door, closing it softly and leaving her in her room. It would be the thing she wanted. She knew Momento was not happy this situation had arisen. She never let anyone into her life. Into her world. She showed what she wanted. This wasn't something she would want to be seen and yet, she had said something so curious to her. I'm always fine after.

The words rung in her head over and over as she walked past the dreaded bathroom and tossed the towels inside towards the hamper. She never even checked if the towels had made it, which wasn't like her. She was a neat freak. She just kept thinking about what she had said. Over and over. Was this her life? It happened all the time? How could one live like that? Deal with it happening night after night? That was horrible. Seren's frown turned very heavy as she sunk back into her bed and pulled the covers up, eyes wide open now. Her mind wouldn't shut off and, she was terribly worried about Mome now. More than she had been before. This was going to be a long three days.
