Why the hell not, Lex decided as he glanced around those who were bidding.

"Ten."

Katya smiled sweetly at the newcomer, but once Lex actually got busy rather than tossing jokes about, she could not help but to turn and shoot him a glare. Though it came with just the slightest bit of a wink, letting him know she was more than a little amused.

Eleven Thousand *she saw the bit of interplay between the woman and the male bidder and smiled to herself.*

He looked over at the woman bidding against him and nodded slightly in her direction. It was all part of the fun to have competition, after all.

"Twelve... How about it, doll, fancy coming home with me?" He asked Katya with a grin.

*she smirked a bit as she saw she was right . She did not know either of them, but teased gently* I imagine it would depend on what you mean by 'play' sir if she would 'play' for 12 thousand. *she motioned to the auctioneer again* 13 thousand.

All the blonde could do was narrow her eyes in response. "Alexei, I don't know what you have up your sleeve, and I'm almost tempted to find out... almost...if I were a stupid woman, anyway... but you of all people should know just what he's signing up for." She wouldn't dignify the question with a further response because the only one - 'been there, done that,' - was all but dancing upon her tongue and that wouldn't do. Her aqua gaze turned upon the fortune woman. "No. Twelve thousand is cheap." She winked and flashed them both a smirk.

"You're right, doll," he agreed, deciding to settle his weight onto a nearby stool. "Twelve is cheap. Better make it fifteen then, huh?" Quite what he was going to do with her if her time became his, he didn't know yet, but it was too good an opportunity to pass up for so little money being shelled out.

A soft growl left her lips at his obvious angle. "Business partner or not, you're in so much trouble, pretty boy."

She snickered after hissing out the words, hoping the barb went just deep enough, knowing how much he couldn't stand that nickname. Or any nickname, really. Served him right for bidding so low when he still had quite the upper hand.

'oh my' she thought to herself.
Fifteen may be good, but sweet sixteen is better *she nodded to the auctioneer* 16 thousand.
