Is it my sarcasm, or my badassness that's attractive?

It amazed her how quickly some bids went up and others didn't. Madison didn't know enough about any of the people to really understand what it was that caused it. Especially since some of them seemed to run in the same crowd and it appeared that people that knew each other had a tendency to bid upon one another. She didn't spend much time dwelling on the thoughts as one of the current bidders conceded. After such a bidding war, others may be hesitant to get involved.

Approaching the contestant on stage, Madison offered her the mic after asking, "So what makes you so incredibly badass?"

As soon as the words left her lips, did Madison realize who the person in front of her was. It was bad enough majority of the contestants were blatantly labeling themselves and others as vampires, but this was one she'd attempted to send to the realm. The whole freaking auction was a giant masquerade violation, it was almost comical some of them taking part in the admittance were Tytonidae members themselves. But it was okay....it's Halloween.

Nishaa saw the woman head up on stage, and eyeballed her curiously. Oh she knew who this woman was. She smiled at her and took the mic from her hands. She was asked the question of ‘what makes you so badass.’ There were so many things she could say to that. So many she wanted to actually say, one of them being. ‘The fact that you couldn’t kill me –even whilst I was resting’ but, that might make the other woman cranky. She gave the woman a wink.

“Bid on me then, and I’ll tell you.” She handed the mic back and looked back at the crowd.

Velveteen thought the auctions were a waste of time really but curiousity drew her there. It didn't take long before she saw a few potentials that drew her interest and she was tossing out figures like dollar bills at a strip club. Silver orbs traversed the rather crowded room. The woman seemed to always wear the kind of smile that made it look like she had a secret. Her presence was raising a few eyebrows but that was part of fun.

She laughed as Nish answered Madison's question, though she could think of a few reasons herself on why the woman was so badass. She gave the younger woman a wink before wandering off.

"Ninety-five thousand," Madison said dryly and then smiled darkly.

She could practically pluck the thoughts out of the other woman's head. It didn't take a brain surgeon, or a telepath for that matter, who knew the background between the pair of women on stage to figure out what the other could be thinking. Sure, Madison and a few others had failed to take out Nishaa. It was comical the way members of Tytonidae threw it at them, like it was something to be ashamed of. Sometimes it took ten to fifteen of their members to bring down a single target but how pathetic it was that five couldn't get the job done. In the end that pissing match had ended with deaths on both sides.

Velveteen had wandered off but having found nothing interesting enough to occupy her for too long she wound her way back to watch Nishaa's auction. She hoped the girl did well and half chuckled to herself. She could be a handful and she almost pitied the winning bidder.

When Madison accepted Nishaa's challenge and actually did bid on her, the dark-haired vampire couldn't help but laugh. Like she would let that happen. "One hundred thousand." She piped up and grinned, setting her gaze on the bleached, blonde *****. The faction had very much playing at Madison's place. It was a challenge they very rarely got in this place. Just one reason....one reason was all they would need.
