Sepsis's vampyric hearing picked up a seemingly panicked sounding screech from her workshop as she rang up the customer in front of her, and a euphoric smile briefly spread across her face. The man before her looked at her oddly, and she quickly wiped the expression from her face. "Pardon me..." she trailed off, passing the man his receipt and change. He merely shrugged, smiling timidly before hurrying out the front door of her shoppe, his purchase clutched to his chest. Sepsis gave a count of five before dashing across the display room, snapping the lock firmly into place, and propping up the 'CLOSED FOR THE EVENING' sign in her window.
Dashing back across the room, she slipped through the storeroom, pausing briefly to place her hand on the lock scanner, her patience waning as she waited for the locks to respond to digital verification of her hand print. Even this lock would not keep everyone out, but one could never be too careful these days, and there were uninvited guests lurking all over Harper Rock...as much to her dislike, she had previously discovered.
Finally, the door opened, and Sepsis all but bounced into the room, vibrating with anticipation. "Why, good morning sleepyhead!" Sepsis exclaimed in a joyous tone as she snapped on the over head lights. "I trust you didn't find your accommodations too uncomfortable?" Sepsis grinned as she quickly crossed the space between her and her newest acquisition, skidding to a halt beside the hospital bed. Sepsis peered into the woman's face, and reached to check the padded straps holding encasing the woman's wrists. Satisfied her dolly was secure, she focused once more upon the woman's face.
"I do apologize for not properly introducing myself earlier.." Sepsis trailed off, mentally chiding herself for her ill manners. "I am called Sepsis." Sepsis flashed a winning smile at the woman, and turned her attention to her dollies hands. The woman's fingers were exquisite, as Sepsis had noted from the beginning, even more so now that she was properly inspecting them. She reached out with one finger, stroking the woman's hand before focusing once more upon her face.
"Tell me, love..what is your name?" Sepsis all but purred the question, her eyes twinkling mischievously. "I closed the store early this evening just for you, and I'd love to know your name before we begin." Sepsis smiled again, and reached to brush a lock of hair from the woman's brow...anxious for her work to begin.
