Try finding a ritualist and paying them to locate for you.

Doesn't Aeryn have that ritual?

Either would work, and it would probably be cheaper to find a PC one, but Aeryn is there for that sole purpose. :]

I thought I had read that wrong when I tried. But yes, I was under the understanding the vampire thralls could use the pxp they came with (no future gain of pxps after) and get a couple of powers.

Yes that's correct. They should be able to use the starting PXP, but this is a bug.

It's so hard to find NPC Vampires, that or I'm really, really, really unlucky?

Any advice on hunting them down for the Paladin class?

They mostly hang out in abandoned places or bars. Your best bet is to go through those places one at a time.
