Leiren was contemplating what the kid was saying when she heard 'Wolfgang' and she paused. A long, long pause. Her eyes closed slightly and she calmed herself counting back from five. "Yes, a lot of people in this city bite people, but it does do harm to them the one being bitten, even if its a small amount of harm verses a large one." She bit at her lip slightly pulling on it. "A lot of those like us use biting as a way to kill humans. They would most likely use it to kill anyone they thought weren't their cup of tea and started talking about vampires if they were human or anything of the sort. There are a lot of vampires that have lost all their humanity. Which isn't really a good thing in the long run. But, I can understand why you'd bite her if your hurt or dying. Though, if your a mystic you can change your body at least, but you have to die to do that."

She was avoiding the Wolfgang comment like it was the plague, her heart weighing a bit heavier as she pushed it aside. Angel. Maybe in his dreams. He was a nightmare hurricane that came in and took you high as hell and destroyed everything. That wasn't an angel in her book at all. When Ishani offered her the watch she glanced at it and shook her head. "You can sell it for money, so keep it. Sometimes people will even buy things like that. I find they like hankies too." She was glad for something to change the subject, but it was then that she wondered why she was still walking with this kid of Habren's, even if she wasn't a wanted one. Maybe that was why. "Do you just pickpockets?" she asked curiously. "I started with them, but I've moved on to bigger things. It's more fun that way."

Ishani-Snow did not really believe in vampires, or at least not in the same way that most seemed to believe in them. To her it was as Father Alexander has said. Anyone and anything that feeds on the blood of others is by all means a Blood Sucker and most simply bunched them together as a vampire. Thus to her, vampires were what they were made in movies like Twilight and were nothing like what she seen in her short years. Still she knew she was now a Blood Sucker and in her mind she was a Mystic type. She knew there were other types but she had not taken the time to even bother learning their names. It didn't interest her enough to learn about them. So she simply went with what did interest her. Herself.

“If I die Daddy would be very disappointed in me” she put the pocket watch into her bag as she kicked the man on the grown some to see if he would move, nothing. He was out cold it would seem. “He might even send me to mommy...” that thought worried her greatly, “Don't want to be with God.” she shook her head wildly as she turned to look up at the woman.

After a moment she looked again at her before given her a firm glare, "and don't think about biting me either, I'll stab you." she didn't think she would be able to take her in a fight but she was far from one to like being bitten, she had been bitten enough before the Lady's blood connection to her. "I don't forget no more when bitten, not like I used too." she hated not remembering what happened, she didn't like waking up in weird places either. Yet she still found herself worrying about it, worrying that it would start happening again and she wouldn't remember.

Staring down at the body she nodded her head some to the question about stealing, “Yeah I've been stealing from places for a long time now. People don't think a little kid is dangerous.” she left out the little detail that even before she had been turned she had killed people just to test her strength and to see if she was getting stronger and smarter than those around her. There were plenty she wasn't able to fight or beat, but she was indeed getting better at it.

When she had started to steal it had been back when her mother had been alive. She would steal food and hide it, when her mother would make her do long fasting. She didn't like to think of being thin and bones again. She never started to steal bigger things worth more until later, a little before she got her Potter Powers. “Do you steal from places?”

Ishani-Snow didn't think she seem like the sort who would hurt someone, seeing as she cared so much about others. So Ishani-Snow was left with the belief that she might be something pretty close to God, like a small saintly person, and Ishani-Snow didn't like God's people.

For but a moment Leiren was actually confused on her dying and being sent to god. It took her a bit and then she choked back a half laugh. "Oh. Don't worry about 'God' or whatever. We don't exist in that universe. When we die we are sent to what is known as the Shadow Realm. It's dark. You wander for ages and never really see anything beyond ruins." She smiled at that. "Ha. God. What do you think we are, normal? Not even close. God and the Devil might exist, but not for us. Closest thing we have is Crow and even she'd been brought down a peg. Sorry if I burst your bubble or something."

She didn't even think twice about telling her 'the truth' which was, quite simply to Leiren, that vampires and maybe even the entire town of Harper Rock existed out of those domains. She didn't know if humans went to the realm, really, but she figured their spirits more then likely got caught up in the mess. Heck she'd even bet that humans are the 'spirits' that they liked to nom-nom on for power-juice. Yeah, that was kind of a sick thought. She'd been in her own mind when Ishani had mentioned being bitten and Leir gave her a funny look. "Uh, Kid I am not a 'Rat. I've met a few, but a vampire that feeds on other vampires actually becomes tainted in a way. If no one's told you not to do that, let this be your warning. It will change you if you bite another vampire and not in a good way."

She actually hadn't given the slightest thought to 'who and what she had been taught' but now she was slightly concerned. Mostly because she did have concerns about the masquerade and damn it, this kid was a huge risk if she wasn't taught anything at all. Leir moved those thoughts aside.

"Yeah I steal from factories and commercial complexes. I used to do it for fun, then for profit, then because people around me asked me too, and now I just do it when I feel the urge." She gave a smile at that and raised her brow. "You know you could try doing that, if you can sneak out at night without someone catching you. In fact, sneaking out would likely be a test if you could even break into a building on your own."

Ishani-Snow listened and it was pretty clear she didn't really believe what the woman was saying at all. Yet being who she was, she would question the woman like she questioned everyone who dare to stomp on her belief system. Which was what she knew and in her mind all that really mattered.

Tilting her head she huffed slightly in disbelief with what the woman said. Even the tone of her voice held the disbelief in what she was hearing. “And how do you know this so called Shadow Realm isn't Heaven and that the Crow isn't God?” honestly to her it sounded more like Heaven. To her Hell was a most magical places where her Daddy was and he was in her mind the good guy and the hero. “Not like you ever been there right? Mean you only know what heaven or hell is due to what someone else says... unless you been there you can't know what it really is.”

She knew people had gone she heard them talk when she was human, most of the time people didn't think of who they were around due to her age, they didn't really think kids were able to be smarter than adults, even though it had been proven over and over again they could be. “Besides even if you do go there you don't know if that's heaven or hell right? You only know what someone else told you it is. And they likely got that information from someone who got it from someone who got it from someone who thought they knew better than other people or wanted to give it a name or something.”

Yet when she brought up 'rats' Ishani-Snow was at a lost. It was written all over her face, in her mind she saw half-rat people running around. The thought disturbed her, but only due to her thinking that it made them the people of her 'Uncle Rat' the man who unknown to her had killed her mother and resulted in her being brought here in the first place. Not that she minded.

“Why would anyone want to be a rat?” she muttered the words as she wrinkled her nose in disgust. “You would have to be in the sewers that's where the rats are.”

Ishani-Snow thought about sneaking out instead of simply leaving dead bodies behind. It did seem like it would be easier but she wasn't sure how much fun it would be. She took pleasure in testing her strength. Not to say in her mind, in her belief system that she had made and created with her new freedom that she had gained after she came to Harper Rock would be gone. Her killing people meant keeping them away from God, those souls that she took, went to her father in Hell and thus in her mind a far better place with a man who understood human nature and didn't expect people to be outside of who and what they really were

“Then who do I kill?” it was an innocent enough question in her mind. “How do I get souls for daddy if I don't kill people for him? They won't be saved if daddy's people don't help him harvest them...” her voice dropped low, sadness filling it, “They'll be sent to God... that's just to mean.”

Leir wanted to say things in that matter of fact way she just knew them, but it seemed she couldn't just do that with the kid, so instead she tried to take it slow. Real slow. In hopes that maybe she'd understand. "I have never been to heaven, which is supposed to be mystical and happy, and I have never been to Hell, which is supposed to be fire and brimstone, right?"

"But I have been to the Shadow Realm over and over and over and let me tell you kid, it ain't either heave nor hell. It's like a in between land where we get caught. Like our souls are in limbo, rather then picking a side. In life no one wants us here and in death no one wants us there either. We live outside those 'boxes'." She paused slightly and fingered a golden strand of her own hair, twisting it about. "There might be something else outside of Harper Rock, but here its different. That's why things in this town are so damn screwy. And I think it's why there are vampires here to begin with. It's something with the Shadow Realm."

She looked down at Ishani and tilted her head. "I know it seems screwy, and I believed in God and the Devil once too, but now they don't exist for me. Crow, I have my bets, is either a fae which means it wants us dead forever, or a vampire that wants total control, which means it wants those that don't follow its rules dead forever. Either way, I wouldn't bet on it being God in a religious sense." She mulled that over a bit and hoped she had somehow answered Ishani's strange-to-her question that had what seemed like a lot more complications then she really wanted to deal with.

Ishani-Snow played with a strain of her hair as she thought over the words. In her mind she had it a bit messed up, heaven might be all your wishes and desires that you ever wanted but when you had all those things, what would you have left to wish or desire? Seemed like an awful way to go, to get everything you ever wanted with just a thought. While yes in hell you had to work at it, just like in the real world, it kept you fighting and it kept you strong.

Lifting her eyes, “It's a place of torment. Same with Heaven and Hell. One place is a torment, the other is not. If you never been to either, you again only have what is written to go on, and thus the Shadow Realm could be the bad place.” she wasn't sure how to make it more clear to the woman. Yet then she thought about how Setne had a different religion than her and it slowly came to mind how this woman might be able to understand “It's like all the bad places other religions have, you never been to them either but they all have things in common, bad people pay, good people don't. It just has a different name and... you get to come back if you work at it.” She didn't know much about the place, let alone what other people believed in, she had what she believed in and what she believed she knew or what she choose to believe in. Such as having seen people come back after being said they were dead. She was pretty sure it wasn't easy to come back to life.

“I think you are just trying to separate stuff that shouldn't be separated. So you got a bad place that isn't what you thought. They might have a good place too, you don't know. Maybe you just never found the good place because no one told you about it because no one ever came back to tell anyone about it.” slowly she began to grin as she began to get the words together, “Maybe with the good place you can't come back because there isn't any coming back. Maybe the only way to get there is to go outside of this place to really die. After all everyone is scary cats when it come to dying” even she was one, but maybe not in the same way as other people, for her it was the thought of failing her daddy that made her fight hard to live. To fulfill what she believed to be the plan her daddy had for her. Still she thought she was getting the idea of this new belief system and in some way she was blending it in with what she already believed in without realizing it.

“Plus Crow could still be a God or Satan you don't know that either. Other places have lots of Gods, like Zeus and Hades. They're like God and Satan...” she leaned over as she placed her hands on her hips putting a finger in the air as she made her final point or at least the main point she was aiming at. “Besides don't God have plans for everyone? Don't he tell people to obey him and follow his laws? Didn't God kill people when he wasn't happy with the things they were doing? He still does... why else would lots and lots of people die all at once if God ain't happy with it? Don't God know everything we do too? And most of all don't God do mean stuff to people? Why does he do that if he don't want to be the high ruler of everybody too?”

Ishani-Snow knew that soon the woman would most likely tell her she doesn't know anything due to her age. Yet she knew a lot of things. If she really paid attention and focus she would remember everything, every word, every image, every little detail. However she was still a little girl and no matter what gift she had been given when it came to her photographic memory, she tended to only focus on the things that she was interested in. Yet at the same time if she was sat down and told to remember, to think back about this or that, she could... with a bit of pushing and swaying. Things that happened weeks, months, years ago... not that she had a lot of years... nothing was ever really gone in her mind... it just was blurred... something that adults worried about when she got older. Right now they didn't worry so much, her mind was warp in part around the world she created and imaged and the real world. It allowed her to 'forget' in many ways what was going on around her. Yet at the same time, made her stood out within the world and to those around her because of her memory and mind.

Leiren was listening to her and she thought about it for at least a bit before she turned her head up to look at the sky. "You might have a point, but that would mean all vampires are inherently evil, and I can't or don't really want to believe that. I think vampires can be good in some sense of the word." She glanced back down at Ishani and furrowed her brows together. "But if that's a type of hell, why do we have no heaven at all? I know, if they can't come back then maybe they are in heaven, but they aren't. Even the ones I've seen not come back are just stuck in the Shadow Realm. They just choose not to come back or get stuck there or something. I'm not sure how to explain that part." She crinkled her nose. "I've spent a lot of time in the Shadow Realm is all. Sometimes I die on purpose just to go there, to think, to be free of this worlds ********." She caught her hand to her mouth. "Uh, sorry if you don't do curse-words yet. Just don't tell your guardian or something."

She mulled her thoughts together and then was slightly surprised by the boom of a firework a little ways away from her. She'd wanted to see them anyway, but she'd gotten so caught up in this kid she'd completely forgot. They weren't in an amazing spot to watch the fireworks, so without much thought Leir grabbed the kids hand and started to take off. "Come on little legs, this is the best part. Exploding balls of gun powder glitter and I don't wanna miss it." She hadn't even noticed when she grabbed the others hand that she'd projected an actual image of fireworks into Ishani's head, but Leir was used to doing stuff like that just naturally.

Lifting her head slightly looking at the sky trying to see what it was she was seeing, “But I was born evil... my mommy told me so. We are all born with the first sin that's what my mommy said.” she looked at the woman's back for a long moment, “Maybe that's the same thing that happens here. We got a new sin that don't wash so easy away.”

Ishani-Snow didn't really believe herself to be evil, but she was sure that the things she did would likely fall into that. Man tended to not like the idea of killing unless for war or something along those lines but in her mind this was a war in many ways.

Slowly she chewed the inside of her cheek, “All of them? They never had someone who had been here and not any part of them remain? Not here or there?” it was very clear she didn't believe it. “There are a lot of people and before I bit the Lady I had seen LOTS of people who are different too. LOTS and LOTS” she had to say she knew at least 50 if not more people who were 'different' in some way. She might not known what they were but her mind was easy to process endless faces, even if she had not be able to recall names not that she tended to use people real names. “maybe there is something ya gotta do... that we just don't know about. Like I dunno being blessed by someone.” she didn't like the idea of being put under water though.

The fireworks began to go off, she turned her head towards the sound yet no sooner had she turned to look was the lady grabbing her and she was running to keep up. Her cheeks puffed out, “I got a name ya know!” then her eyes widen as all her own thoughts were gone, she was seeing fireworks in her head and she didn't know how that was. Once they were over she said the first thing to pop into her head, “I saw em” there was no way she would have been able to do so they were not in a good place just yet but she simply followed anyway.

Leir was headed with the kid in tow towards a better spot as they heard the bursts going off. When they finally came to a better clear view she leaned her head up and gazed at the sky like it was one of the most beautiful things she'd ever seen. Her face lit up and her eyes sparkled with the hues of bursting gems. They weren't all just bursts either, there were tree-falling ones, heart-shapes, smiley faces, streamers and more. She was practically awe struck, but she remember that she wasn't alone still. "Yeah, I know. Ishani. Your name is Ishani. I don't know if I told you mine, but it's Leiren. We're related in a way." She hadn't looked back down until the bursts were over, all in all that took about 15-20 minutes really, but it wasn't like she was going to get a cramp in her neck or something.

"I'm a telepath. Not that I know if you know what that means." She seemed a bit somber now that the fireworks were over, but she let that pass too from her mind. The memories were hers and she'd have them forever and that was good enough until next year. "Thank you for viewing the fireworks with me. I think everyone is going to clear out now, though. Do you know how to get home?" Leir questioned her innocently, realizing that she had kind of just ran off with a kid and that could be some sort of screwy kidnapping or something. "If you don't I can show you the way or teleport you. Whatever is easier for you. I don't want anyone to come calling about you or report you missing or something because they are worried."

Re: [Canada Day 2014] Leiren/Ishani-Snow

Post by Ishani-Snow (DELETED 2525) »

Ishani-Snow had never really been called just Ishani, Ishani-Snow yes. That after all was her first name, otherwise it was just Snow and she wasn't really sure if she liked the idea of being called Ishani, even her mother had not used her real name, and when she did it was only in public so no one would suspect that there was anything wrong, along with such words as sweetie, honey... things that her grandmother sometimes used but there was always a difference in the tone between them. There was nothing harsh about the way she said Ishani so the little girl would let it pass for the time being. Until she knew if she liked it or not.

“Oh” there was not a lot for her to say to it really, the woman knew her name or at least half of her name, shaking her head slightly, “Nope you didn't say nothing about who you were.” was far from new, a lot of people spoke in this city without ever knowing one's name. Not to say she would just give her a different name altogether. So even as the woman was telling her name, she simply was thinking of a new one for her.

Lifting her head she watched the fireworks go off, she did not really see why the lady was so big on them but she figured Fireworks were important and thus she would refer to the woman by that name when she spoke. Ishani-Snow turned to look at the woman as she seemed to forget about just about everyone else around her due to those fireworks. They were fine, but she lost interest in them after about five minutes instead finding the way other people were looking and reacting to them more so. Slowly she turned her head to look at the woman in front of her and Ishani-Snow knew what she would be calling her from then on. She said nothing though until the fireworks were done, not wanting to ruin it for the woman who seemed so lost in them.

“Haven't you seen a lot of them? You are kinda old.” alright so everyone was old to her, there was really old and then just old. She tended to only like the really old people, like grandparents old.

Ishani-Snow listened as she spoke about her being a Telepath. Someone most likely had told her about the types of vampires but the girl hadn't paid any real attention because to her it didn't fit in her world view of things. Honestly she been told a lot about different things, people had been trying to disprove her belief since it was clear she knew to much.

“No problem, you drag me up here anyways...” she turned to look around at the people. It would be a bit before they were free but she wasn't sure where they would go from here. They were still going about, more drinking maybe. She turned around in a full circle. “Grandpa is a very powerful person.” she said simply, “The police listen to him...” she didn't like the cops though they tended to ruin her fun and if she got caught they would likely tell Grandfather which meant she had to kill them. Her head tilted some as she looked up at her, “But it's alright Fireworks. I don't like people messing with my head or body. It's why I don't like Angel Wolfgang, or any Angels for that matter.”

Turning to face her fully she took a deep breath, “So... Fireworks do you think I should die?” it was a simple question really. A lot of the adults she had met since she was turned felt that she should be killed, and if not her the Lady. “Or you gonna blame the Lady like everyone else does?”
