True, but it's also a vote that could be translated as a "no" thus swaying the overall totals of the yes/no answers. If I don't care either way about a suggestion, I simply don't vote.

Ambivalence is a vote and it shouldn't be ignored. It means they have no great feeling for or against, ambivalence isn't a no vote, it's just a non-commitment.

That could either mean the suggestion has no impact on how they move their character (like my RP Levels suggestion means nothing to gamer-centric characters) or they are fence sitting and can see both sides of the why and why not. So Pickles is sorta where they are. I mean, if it makes people feel better I guess we can say all votes come under a rule of

Yes
No
Not Applicable
Discuss (see thread)

But pickles works the same (and its sorta fun). I'm not married to pickles as an option but I would argue against the ambivalent vote being removed completely and optioned as a no vote. Because that's not accurate at all.

I think it's clear though, that the suggestions are being seen by David. So I guess it's just a wait and see to see how he wants the suggestions page to be sorted moving forward.

For the record, I totally believe you. Speaking as a player, however, it does sometimes feel like a hollow victory when I write down something that I think is cool, and I find lots of people agree with me, and then... nothing. Even a brief sentence saying why it wouldn't work for Path would be better than the silence. The silence is disheartening and it implies (apparently falsely) disinterest in our ideas.

I'm glad to see that some discussion is building from this, but I wonder how many great Suggestions have been lost. I know there were a few gems in there that I think would have been really good contributions.

So maybe the key isn't so much the need to collate them, as acknowledging that they've been read and maybe give them a rating of some sort?

The perception at the moment is t hat t hey're not being read or acknowledged but the truth is, that they have been read and everything without a specific 'no way' is a potential 'maybe'?

Would it be helpful to have a system where the suggestions are acknowledged as read? And a potential rating system implemented.

Great, likely to be implemented, in time.
Great idea, but not planned avenue for game.

Or something similar?

The point of the Suggestion was to have someone who was specifically responsible for making sure that the Suggestions Threads are being taken care of and to appoint one person communicate with our Grand Overlords, rather than have everyone harassing them. A Mod could take care of the paperwork of updating the threads, rather than asking David or Natasha to undertake another job.

That's what I had thought the point was, myself. Seems like David and Natasha have more than enough keeping them busy already.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but oh god, no. I'm not active enough for that. Plus, I don't have the patience to deal with people.
