"I fed off rabbits and rats for a little while before I was comfortable to shift to predators. And then, human blood."

Every explained as she walked, pulling on a denim jacket the same shade and texture of her jeans to match. Her brown hair was pulled out from behind it, framing her face. She felt the weight of her gun resting against her hip and the knife strapped to her shoe. The taser from Micah was tucked into the back pocket of her jeans were it usually was.

"I could've sworn we talked about this after you were turned. Maybe I thought we did and spaced because of a certain headache." She said teasingly.

Wickbridge. There was the Metro, owned by a friend. She'd gone in only a few times since her turning, usually for club run events that were city wide. They'd go there, now that Nishaa agreed on the destination.

"Clubbing is fun."

The woman peered at her childe, clearly not believing that the woman had never been in a club previous to her turning. She'd thought she'd been in a bar the night of her turning, however, and couldn't say much. The woman had spent half a year at the bottom of a bottle. When Every was alive, she'd gone dancing a lot. With friends, by herself, on dates, it hadn't really mattered to her so long as she had a good time and at the end of the night was exhausted.

Now was another story, she went out only on occasion.

"Alright, we'll just have to play it by taste then. Certain things affect me. Painkillers, alcohol, poisons."

She shook her head in wait, knowing she got it from her sire. She remembered running into Vel and Micah, the way the poison had smelled and learning what it was.

Every considered it as she made her way to the elevator, her fingertips pressing into the down button before she folded her arms in front of her chest. She hated elevators. Why wasn't there stairs in this place again?

"Never will forget that night, either."

She winked back.

Every'd gotten stabbed that night by a drunk woman rambling on about bunny rabbits after 'considering' to call for an ambulance. But, she hadn't just gained a childe that night, she'd gained an anchor and a lifetime friend.

She never would have pictured her sire being a bunny eater. Those poor defenceless little rabbits. Nishaa found herself shaking her head. Every was evil and if she turned around and told her she drank from piglets too, well she would shoot her sire here and now. Where was the thrill in rush of hunting there? The thrill she had heard so much about. She followed the woman into the elevator. Watching the woman tense from the confined space, she could only assume.

“Bunny killer..”

She muttered to the woman as she watched for the large metal box to drop them off on the ground floor so she could get outside. There was only so much indoors she could handle, she liked to be outside – she liked the sounds, the smells. She was much like a dog in that sense.

When Every was listing off the things that made her a little cray cray, the toxins – she noticed Every mentioned poison. Who in their right mind would poison their blood? She blinked a few times onyx orbs looked at the woman, dead panned.

“Who, the **** would ******* poison themselves? Humans are stupid.”

She said, shaking her head as the doors finally opened and a rush of air filled the small space – and the scent of pine. She exited the elevator with Every on her heels as she opened the doors to cool night air, the fresh air greeted her ran its way through her hair as she grinned happily. She felt more at ease outside.

"If it makes you feel better I ate it and a variety of other meats when I was human."

The brunette lifted her eyebrow and then frowned at the elevator as her back was pressed against the wall. Her hazel eyes swept the interior, relaxing only when she heard no more creaking than usual and she was silently reassured that it wouldn't freeze or the brakes wouldn't give out. "Alligator, snake. Deer." She listed it off, talking to sooth frazzled nerves, "Shark can be fine depending." Talking, she knew, was a strange thing that kept her from wanting to curl into the corner and not move.

"I have issues with elevators." She said only after she noticed Nishaa look at her, and then she raised her gaze to the numbers as they descended to the ground floor. "Alcohol, drugs. Those are considered to be poisons. Sometimes poisons can be accidental, the toxins that we deal with for traps for instance, can literally knock me down for days." They were never pleasant instances, either. She'd learned to just steer clear of them unless absolutely needed.

"Everyone can be a little stupid, it just depends if you're the right kind of stupid." A smirk played across her lips as she followed after her childe with ease, the scent washing over her with a relieved sigh escaping past her lips. Crooking her finger at Nishaa, Every began making her way towards her Dodge Challenger and tapped her fingertips against the hood. "Transits can get crowded." She explained, shifting her weight after.

Nishaa looked at the woman and shook her head, how the **** did it make her feel better knowing that she ate other meat? Sometimes she got the feeling that other people didn’t understand the way her mind worked, heck Nishaa didn’t even know how her mind worked. The shadow in front of her mentioned that she had eaten shark and the necromancer made a gagging face opening her mouth and putting her finger slightly inside.

“You are gross.”

She sounded a lot like a child would, then back chatting a mother.

“So gross.”

It was a compliment really. Every was her sire though, so she had to listen when it mattered or when she gave one of her sire patrol like lectures. (She did it often) Heck, she’d summon Nishaa out of the blue just to check her reflexes – it never went that well though, she always ended up being shot without much time to react. She didn’t mind so much, she could heal – one of the nifty perks of being dead, she supposed.

“How do you make traps then, if it has a possibility of knocking you out. I read somewhere on the family crownet, that you make traps. I… don’t know what I do yet. I’ll figure it out, soon enough.”

She gave off a shrug of her shoulders and followed the woman out to her car. She watched as her sire tapped her long fingers against the hood. Nishaa on the other hand lacked subtlety she slid into the car, rested her elbow against the car door and waited for the woman to start the engine.

“Onwards!”

The words made Every smirk, amusing her as she chuckled and gave a shake of her head. "What, were you a vegetarian? " That would explain some of it for her, at least. The shift from meat to blood hadn't been too taxing for the shadow. Sure, she'd gagged a few times and as she looked back on it, she was sure there was some sort of mantra going through her head so that she wouldn't have gotten ill as it went down.

At the continuing, Every poked her tongue out childishly over her shoulder at Nishaa. When they were alone, it was a little difficult to keep up the serious front. Then again, the woman did seem to know her better than others anyway and as they walked, she watched her with a soft, fond smile playing across her lips.

"It's just something I risk to make sure that those in the family and faction are safe." She shrugged. She was getting better at doing so without making herself sick and even when evading and disarming traps, she was doing the same. "I'm still a better thief, but rituals and hacking have become easier too." She tucked some of her hair behind her ear, nodding. "You will, and you'll find something that you really excel at and enjoy."

Going around to the driver's side, Every eased herself into the car and started the engine. A pleased grin crossed her features at the sound of the purr. Aside from hunts, she didn't drive around much as fadeportals were faster, but that didn't mean she wouldn't obsess over what was under the hood. She buckled up out of habit, her foot pressing down on the brake as she shifted into reverse and twisted in her seat to look out the rear window. When she was out of her parking space, she shifted into drive and headed towards Wickbridge.

“Was I ****.”

She retorted as she shook her head. Nishaa lived off food that was in the trash cans, she didn’t really have a home back then – upon her release from the asylum she lived on the streets, her parents had abandoned her, she was used to the lifestyle. Meat was a rarity. Even when she did get meat it was scraps off a bone, that may have been discarded by a dog.

“The Necromancer saw the tongue being stuck out and grunted. Giving the woman one of her own, before flashing a smile in her direction a light shake of her head. Honestly, she had forgotten what meat tasted like. It really was a treat when she had found it when human but now as a vampire all she knew the taste of was her power. Blood boosting, she knew nothing more.

“I just didn’t eat it often because I lived on the streets.”

She said, with a shrug of her shoulders.

“I’m sure I’ve told you that before.”

There was another shrug as she turned her hues onto the woman, who was her sire with a crooked smile. The engine roared to life beneath them as she settled back against the leather of the seat now that she was in Every’s car. She watched as the cool air hit her face as the car sped forward on it’s way to Wickbridge.

“I’ll find something, I was good at stealing as a homeless bum, maybe I could try and be more stealthy.”

There was a shrug of her shoulders. It was a thought?

She had, but she had forgotten it, but rather than find pity where she assumed most would, Every found the fact Nishaa had been strong enough to endure it to be inspiring. When they had met, Nishaa had failed to pickpocket her. She’d asked what products Every used, throwing her off guard.

The most disgusting she had to deal with had been cheap ramen in her dorm room. It bothered her in more than one way that she hadn’t been there to support the female when needed, even if she hadn’t known her there. Seeing the returned action, she smiled a bit once more.

Yes, siring Nishaa would never be a decision that Every thought she could regret.

She brought sass where Every lacked in, in truth.

Listening to the surrounding area, she remained quiet for a few minutes and then fiddled slightly with the radio buttons on her steering wheel so that music would play between the two on a station they would agree on. Hazel eyes glanced to Nishaa, a smirk dancing across her lips at the other’s words.

“So were you purposely trying to make me feel the pull of my wallet being emptied from my pocket?”

Of course, there had been the fact Every kept her wallet, even now when she bothered to carry one, on a chain attached to her belt loops. She carried a debit card most days, content to avoid the hassle that went with losing thousands of dollars without paying attention.

“It helps in other things, admittedly. I’ve locked myself out of the apartment before and had to pick the lock to get inside.” She said honestly, chuckling at it.

Nishaa barked laughter. Shaking her head slowly. Yes she had purposely made Every feel the wallet leaving her pocket. She threw the other woman a wink as the car drove along finding them somewhere where she could learn to feed. What better way to get taught than someone who upholds the masquerade. The car came to halt and Nishaa got herself out of the car. She liked to walk. Walking was better for her. Cars just made her afraid of small spaces, not that she mentioned it.

“I was.”

She said. Though when it came down too it, when she saw the humans walking past her into the doors of the club, dressed all pretty. Nishaa envied them, yet feared them. She huffed slightly. Turning to Every as she got out of the car. The Necromancer sighed and looked at the other, making her way over to her. Planting a kiss to her cheek – rare affection for the other to give.

“I..I can’t do this.”

She said. Shaking her head violently.

“I’m not ready. I have to go, yes, sorry Evee.”

The woman who was normally so headstrong, so willed couldn’t bring herself to drink the blood of a human. She darted for the nearest sewer grate and threw herself into it’s threshold, darting into the sewers the dirt and grime enveloped her legs and dirtied her trousers. Every wouldn’t forgive she was sure of that. Fear had consumed the Necromancer as she darted away.

Every had a thing for cars, particularly fast ones. American muscle. Imports had their uses, though, their sleek designs, but there was just something about the steady purr of an engine that made her content. It was something she shared with her sire, it made her think of her brother and her father. Both had a love for cars, as well. Plus, she didn’t get to drive often – it was too much of a hassle during a hunt unless absolutely needed. She had her ways of getting around without them, usually taking short cuts and running.

Parking the car, Every killed the engine and pocketed her keys as Nishaa got out, following suit afterwards. She felt the air on her skin, she could smell the perfumes and colognes, aftershave as well mixing with the smell of natural body odors. Once upon a time, this would be a scene that Every would be approaching regularly. As a human, it was something she’d done regularly enough to go out and dance. In college, drunken frat or sorority parties hadn’t been her thing. Instead, she’d gone to underground clubs or to night clubs to drink and dance the night away.

As a vampire, it was just an easier going scene where she could easily feed when she wanted.

When Nishaa came over, Every went to put her arm around the other woman. Her childe. And then she felt the affection and heard what she said. A soft frown played across her lips, but not in disappointment. She understood. “You will be someday.” She said, concerned as she watched her childe dart away and let her arm fell. Every’s hazel eyes moved to the front of the club and she considered going inside before getting back into her car and driving off towards Bullwood.

She had another idea, to get Nishaa a gift instead.
