Devotion and Obsession (Reggie/Windy)

Reginald was about to drive the blade into the man's head before he heard the cops voice. He cursed several times in his head and then blurred before running off in the direction he caught Kira running off to. Stopping when he spotted the lump of flesh on the ground that is Kira, a beautiful lump of flesh but still unconscious he stopped and looked behind him to make sure the cops weren't following. When he was satisfied that they weren't he scooped Kira up into his arms and sighed as he carried her back to the farm carefully.

"You silly girl, I swear I am not even going to sleep the day before the new moon now.." He said in a whisper as he entered the farmhouse and laid her down gently in the tub. He went to get the medical tools Kira had put away and came back sitting down on the tub. He really wasn't that experienced with this but he was sure he would be able to fix her up well enough. He put a pair of tweezers into the bullet hole and pulled out the bullet which thankfully wasn't that deep. He Let the bullet fall into the tub beside her before he wrapped a bandage around her and shook his head at his crappy job.

Once she was taken care of he picked her up and carried her to her room and then sat down on the floor closing his eyes. He hoped she would be okay but all that rage and fighting really had him exhausted so he fell asleep at the side of her bed.

Anemoi couldn’t do much other than lay there, waiting for help. He knew that man had left. He used a power to boost his blood, his only chance of making it until getting to the ER.

“What the hell just happened..” one of the cops said when the man with the weapon just up and disappeared.

‘Forget about the vampire. Help me asshole.’ Anemoi thought, and about all he got was a couple of fingers to check for a pulse, not on his neck since there wasn’t much left but on his wrist.

“Got a pulse!”

“Here comes help!”

Anemoi couldn’t keep away any longer, he drifted off into the dark. He was loaded up onto a stretcher, and was taken to the hospital, on the way there he was patched up to stop the bleeding and was worked on more once he gotten there.

“This guy should be brain dead..”

“He was just here and released..”

Anemoi couldn’t stay long enough to hear the full conversation. As soon as he could focus and stay awake long enough, he would have to get a hold of Mike. He wasn’t sure how he was going to convince the doctors that they didn’t see some of these wounds a second time. He was filled with anger and some depression. Even after such a beating, almost dying. Could he really let Kira go? What could have been if she never sired that guy? He blamed him for it all. He was taking up all her time wasn’t he. He needed to die…damn vampires.

[Kira]

Kira was trying to stay awake, her vision still blurred. She felt herself being picked up and carried off. She wanted to protest to whoever it was, after a moment she realized it was Reggie. She mumbled but didn’t make any full words, passing out again. She felt cold on her skin as she was placed in the tub but barely aware of having the bullet removed and patched up.

After she was placed in bed, Sof came over and sniffed her before laying down beside her.

Kira drifted into a deep sleep but she didn’t find herself in her Inner World. This was some dream. She had dreams before of things going very wrong when she tried to be with someone, some other life, another time. The here now…she saw David and Windy there.

Was there something wrong with her? Did she make certain people crazy? No…she was very sure David was already crazy. He didn’t care about her. He just wanted to make sure she could never be happy. Whatever that felt like.

Windy…she never knew exactly what he wanted from her. They didn’t believe in love. A game of cat and mouse, where the roles sometimes switched. She may have been fascinated by him at first, a human trying to kill a vampire, even she could admit he looked nice, she hardly noticed that sort of thing. She was sure those who knew of what he did thought she was crazy for not killing him out right. He may have killed Lexy but she was being hunted anyway. She would have died by the Owl Turds hands. And somewhere inside of her, that had been better as she couldn’t do it. Even when he killed her…sure she had been upset for awhile but she respected the fact he had goals and killing her was one of them. But what did he want from her now? She didn’t know. He thought he had some kind of claim over her even being told many times he didn’t. She couldn't forgive him drugging her a second time.

Reggie…he had been by her side pretty much everyday/night since he was sired. He fulfilled her requirement to beat her in battle. Still…she knew nothing about being in a relationship. Was this the path she was supposed to be on? A path with him by her side? Only time would tell she suppose.

Kira opened her eyes, knew it was her ceiling but it took a moment for her vision to clear. She still felt groggy, she looked at the time. The sun was up, so she wasn’t sure if that’s why she was still tired or from the drug. She sat up, feeling the pain in her stomach and was glad to be able to just heal it. She kicked off her shoes and pushed them off the bed before she put her legs over the side of her bed, closing her eyes. She either needed Dave to come or bring her a blood bag.

Her feet touched something that wasn’t floor. She opened her eyes, thinking maybe it was Tucker but saw Reggie there instead. She dropped down on top of him and hit his chest. “You shot me you jerk!” it was about all her mind could process at the moment. It was fine if they were training but it was different when she was just a by stander.

Reginald was sleeping, he dreamt of Kira being kidnapped again but this time he was unable to save her. He dreamed that he was in some dark hellish place after he died not knowing at all if Kira was safe or not. He was starting to panic and turned a bit in his sleep until he felt his chest being struck by Kira. He opened his eyes wide, they were filled with Panic before he realized just who was ontop of him and hitting him in the chest.

He let his arms wrap around Kira in a tender hug and his muscles tensing as he gives her a little squeeze. "Yes, I did sorry about that I just lost myself.. I seen him trying to kidnap you, and seen him kiss you and I lost myself. I had to save you even if you were in the crossfire. Windy never even managed to nick me, all he managed was to piss me off further. Kira, please don't go out alone on the new moon anymore. I am here for you and during that day something bad always happens, I need to protect you.. I love you and I always will." He said and then gently gave her back a pat sighing as he let his head hang.

He felt really bad that he ended up shooting her but at that time he was literally a rage monster. He patched her up, he took care of her and stayed here beside her bed until she healed watching over her. He hoped that made up for it a little, he truly did. "I honestly didn't mean to and at that time a bullet wound sounded a million times better than what he probably would of done to you if I let him take you hostage and get away.." He said with a soft voice. "I am sorry Kira." He said after a short pause.

When he opened her eyes, Kira didn't expect him to hug her. She expected him to still be angry. She froze and tensed up, they hadn't hugged before and even when he needed comfort after he killed his mother and step-father, she had to change into her cat form because it wasn't something she knew how to do but for a cat it just came naturally.

It took a moment for her to say anything. It hadn't been the first time Windy kissed her, he forced that on her quite a bit. She sighed softly. "Him and David would force a kiss." she muttered. She had never kissed anyone willingly. She wondered why she had such bad luck, there was always something going on with the new moon. She really should just plan to stay in bed those nights.

She didn't know what would have happened if Windy took off with her. She wondered if he even knew.

Why did he have to say all of that. She couldn't even stay upset at him. She growled, "It's fine." she grumbled and squirmed loose from his arms and jumped back onto her bed. She crossed her arms. "I won't go anywhere on the new moon without you." she said almost like a child pouting.

Reginald let out a little laugh as he leaned his head back to look at her face. She was so cute and he must admit he did enjoy that hug. He gave her a big smile before letting his head fall downward and closed his eyes. He was still exhausted from the fight and he would like to sleep a bit more but right now there was nothing that would get him out of that room. "Hey no pouting now... Even though it does make you look cute. Smile and be happy, I am sure Windy would of ripped you away from me and you are the only real true family I have. Just be happy like I am, you have no idea how happy I am that I can be here with you and that our new lifestyle won't be ruined." He said as his eyes closed tightly.

"You should get some more rest, I need some more sleep that fight and anger really took a lot out of me." He said as he slowly drifted off his dreams taking on a lighter tone now.
