Re: When things blow up in your face! (Enver)
She noticed the hand and tentatively took it, mumbling her thanks to him as she stood up, using his hand as leverage. His hand was quite soft, and larger than hers, and she couldn't help but turn it over to study the back of it. However, she remembered herself after only a few seconds and dropped it hurriedly while apologising again.
"Well, they recognised you. I didn't know why - and was worried it was like, because you're a vampire."
She whispered the last word, after checking they were definitely alone.
"I was told that that was a bad thing. People recognising you....."
She stopped as Keara's message came through and she groaned, quickly sending her another message, trying to soothe her worries.
"Please Keara. It was my fault. There's nothing to worry about. I just.... got scared and panicked!"
She sighed, shaking her head at what she'd done. Then looking at Enver she nodded her head.
"Yes. I'll come with you. I need to fix it.... I'm so sorry Enver. I'll do what I can. I mean. I don't even know why she's so worried. All I said was I thought you were in trouble and being mobbed! And I've replied since saying it was a mistake! Does.... is she always so worried and concerned?"
She picked up the bags again, deciding it was probably best to get them home and tipped into the bath to sort through what was junk and what was salvagable.

He groaned and put a hand to his face again. Of course she didn't care about his errands, even if they were pretty damn important and for the safety of her and everyone in the entire Vedarian family. He half heard what the telepath was saying as she rambled on about being sorry and fixing things. "Huh?" Enver asked before he blinked and then shrugged. "Don't know. She seems worried about some things and then some things don't seem that big of a deal. Sort of depends on the situation, I guess."
Enver kept walking until they came to a place that seemed fairly secluded, the male reaching in to his pockets to look for the small piece of paper that had some words on it that he always thought about when trying to get back home. "You have a tome, right? Be the quickest way to get there. Before she summons me. Which is kind of tempting now that I think about it." Since his wife was being awfully demanding of his time when his time was being spent helping out everyone, even the woman next to him for the time being. "If not, I can tell her to summon you."
With that Enver looked down at the piece of paper he kept on him in various places, focused on the words, imagined a less than pleased wife waiting at home for him and a loud mouth yip yap dog who would put his two cents in the second Enver arrived. While he was less than thrilled with that possible scenario, the words on the paper, feelings and thoughts of the asylum and the people connected to it was strong enough to pull the male to the building from half way across the city and have him arriving to the location. "Hey beautiful." Enver started out, before he even really saw his wife. Then the male held his arms out to the side and spoke again. "See, all in one piece. Everything's fine."

Once more Charlotte's words seemed to fade into the background, as Keara's focus was more or less on what Enver had, or had not been doing. She was waiting for him when he arrived, his words having her turning on her heels the moment she heard the first syllable slip from his lips. The idea of throwing the dagger at him was a tempting one, she was certainly worked up enough to try but then, there he was, arms open, trying to make whatever point it was that he wanted to make. Brandishing the dagger at, she advanced on his location.
"Trouble you are in My Love. Like I do not what heard I did. Women around you should not be unless clothed they are. And then still keep their distance they must. What did you for such attention to attract?"
Obviously whatever had gone down was entirely his fault, in her mind at least, and she required an explanation pretty quickly. His charm and good looks were not going to get him off the hook in this moment; if anything they just made matters worse, as she knew exactly what those women saw in him and what they likely wanted him from him too. While a sane person may have taken a step back from the situation and realise that Enver was more than likely innocent of any crime in this matter, her curse didn't allow her such a clear perspective.
Gizmo wriggled in her arms. He was usually more than happy to be held by Keara but he didn't care for the mood she was in either and so daddy looked like a much more attractive option. He whimpered a little, trying to tell Keara that he wanted to be let loose or handed over but she wasn't paying much attention to the small creature at this point; even if only moments ago he was her co-conspirator and confidant.

Re: When things blow up in your face! (Enver)
She followed Enver, almost like a puppy dog, as he walked along the street. Her head nodded as he asked if she had a tome and she watched as he pulled his own one out and then..... vanished. It was odd to see it happen in front of her, even though she'd done it herself a number of times. The second he vanished, she fumbled and pulled out her own one to follow along. When she appeared, she landed right in between Enver and Keara and her eyes looked from one to the other multiple times nervously.
Keara's face was not a happy one, and there was a dagger in one hand, pointed towards.... well, her now, and in the other hand was the little dog, Gizmo, who was whimpering. This, wasn't good at all and she needed to fix it. Slowly, she closed the distance between herself and Keara, shaking like a leaf as she did at the intimidating woman. She tried to smile, to seem friendly, but she was scared shitless. Carefully, she reached out to the dagger and tried to take it from Keara as she spoke in little more than a whisper.
"Keara. It was my fault. I'm sorry. I caused a scene. Enver sorted it, and, well, saved me."
It was an exaggeration of what had actually happened, but she hoped it would make things easier and calmer.

Oh great. That damn dagger again. It was about to go Carrie-esq in here again. That's what he referred to it as when things began to shake, lights flickered and other weird things went on. He chuckled as he listened to what she had to say about women and them being clothed and then started to protest.
"Now, wait just a minute." But Charlotte interjected and started taking the blame for what happened. "It was just a misunderstanding with a few fans. But everything is sorted out now. And no one was naked. Not really. You wear less than almost all the women there." Not that Enver was going to complain about that, but if she looked at how she was dressed and realized what she wore was alright for public and then realized the other women had more clothing on than she did, everything would be fine. Or so he thought so.
"Sharpening that there?" He nudged his head to the dagger, walked around Charlotte and made a move to grab it. "I can probably do something with it at the work bench." He added in, hoping to change the topic of conversation, now that things seemed to be sorted in his mind. "Maybe even embellish it a little bit." He offered as he looked back at Charlotte. "The good thing is, everyone's in one piece and we got some things too." He grinned wide as he looked down at the supplies in his one hand, the other empty. It seemed he needed to learn how to hold on to things better when being tomed or summoned around town. "So, what are we up to tonight? I thought I'd show Charlotte how to tinker a little bit with the things we successfully brought home." He looked back at his wife, then at Charlotte, seeing what each woman had to say about his offer.

Re: When things blow up in your face! (Enver)
She cast a suspicious eye over Charlotte as she began to take the blame for whatever it was that had gone on but she couldn't shake that panicked tone that had rung in her mind. Something was off and she knew it, but she barely had a chance to respond to that before Enver chimed in and for all intents and purposes made the matter worse again by practically criticising the way she dressed. It had been a long time since anyone told her what to wear and she wasn't about to stand there and take that from her husband of all people. Ven had had a little too much control over her and her wardrobe and those days were far behind her as far as she was concerned. While she didn't mind playing dress up on occasion and indulging what she believed to be her husband's fantasies, he had little to no say in what she wore from day to day.
The conversation went from bad to worse as he then stepped forward and tried to disarm her, criticising her choice of weapon and it's lack of adornment in the process. Surely by now he knew the story of the item she held so expertly in her hand. As he'd reached for the weapon, the ability to stifle the growl that had been building in the back of her throat faltered and it escaped; the feral sounding growl ending in a sort of snarl that showed the matter was far from resolved.
Keara didn't even hear his suggestion as to what he planned to do with his night, which was something of a blessing, as it only would have enraged her further. Keara was already feeling jealousy on a level that was too intense for words and him desiring to spend his time teaching her daughter and effectively ignoring her wouldn't have gone down well. Instead as he'd spoken those words, she'd been whispering in Gizmo's ear telling him to run and hide while mummy and daddy talked, before she gently placed him on the ground and watched him scurry away to the safety of the ritual room.
Without even so much as a word cast in Charlotte's direction, Keara began to berate her husband.
"So. Like you do not the manner in which dress I do. Tough that is. Dress I shall how desire I so to do. No say have you in that. Walk naked through the streets I shall if that my desire is. And then insult you do my dagger. My most beloved possession. The only link that I to my birth family do possess. Think I do, that you me mad wish to make. First incite you do a group of women unknown to you, then insult me and my father you do."
Keara flexed the fingers on her free hand, the other tightening its grip upon the hilt of her weapon. There was a look in her eyes that echoed her tone and told Enver that he had more or less inflamed the situation rather than calming it. Her eyes bore into him, burning with an intensity that didn't just show her anger but also her passion and her pain; as pained her his words had.
"Want you do for to fight with me?" she asked, clearly getting ready to attack him.
Her body stiffened and she adopted a stance that evenly distributed her weight over both feet but gave her the option of either being able to advance or retreat as was necessary, as Enver didn't tend to shy away from a physical altercation with her when the occasion required it. Her free hand allowed for her to adopt a defensive positioning of her arm, while the one that held the dagger came down lower and was held off to her side, the blade twisted back and running the length of her forearm, ready to strike.

Re: When things blow up in your face! (Enver)
"no"
It started off as a whisper, as Keara turned..... savage. Charlotte couldn't take her eyes off them both as her mind panicked and began to chastise her for being so stupid yet again. Her moment of excitement at maybe being shown how to make things was gone as she looked from Keara to Enver, and when she saw Keara take up a stance she recognised as a fighting one - she knew she couldn't just stand there and do nothing. She'd done this, so she was going to fix it - somehow.
"no, no, no, no, NO!"
She reached for her powers as her voice shouted at them both, and sent them first at Keara and then at Enver. Keara, she mindblocked, hoping it would go some way towards throwing her off her game and force her into physical attacks only - if she was insistent on going down that route. While to Enver, her power shaped itself into a shield around him to help protect him and heighten his senses so he might be able to avoid what was to come. Then she took a deep breath and walked between them again, planting herself right in front of Keara just inches away and staring at her, in a very unsure way now that she was here.
Looking at the woman now, she had no idea what to do or to say. Her seconds worth of confidence and self assurance had melted away and she was doing nothing more than goldfishing it in front of her. One shaking hand reached out to the arm with the blade, and gently rested her cold fingertips against Keara's wrist and didn't say anything. She simply looked at her in a pleading manner, and would take whatever came next with as much dignity as she could muster.

Re: When things blow up in your face! (Enver)
Of course his wife would see anything he said as an insult. His jaw closed as he sat there and listened to her, resisting the urge to groan and find his face with his hand. He only believed half of what she said, because walking around town naked was not the best of ideas when it came to not drawing attention to yourself. Sure, she might be saying that to anger him, rile him up even, but Enver didn't believe for a minute she'd do it, get spotted, potentially get the cops called on her and get thrown in jail. Not when the masquerade was so important to her.
He did groan when she went on to regard the dagger she had. Again, it seemed his words were twisted and replaced with something she would see as malicious. That was the one thing about women. Taking something said so casually and even out of kindness and manipulating it when they were pissed about something.
Finally, when she asked if he wanted to fight, a laugh bellowed out from his lips that had been pressed together to hear what she had to say. He shrugged his shoulders, "Sure. I'm always up for a little foreplay. Thought Charlotte might get uncomfortable." He looked over at the woman who was shouting a bunch of no's, as if she believed Keara would attack him right then and there. And maybe she would, but he was used to it by now.
Something changed in the air after Charlotte went quiet. Enver felt as if he'd be just fine if Keara attacked him, as if he were more light on his feet; even faster. He could only attribute it to something Charlotte had done, recognizing that feeling before when she had used her abilities to assist them in those buildings he hated going in because he was always an easy target, compared to his wife. Not knowing Keara had been mind blocked, Enver just stood there and shrugged again. "Well?" He asked, waiting for his wife to make good on her threat or back down.

Re: When things blow up in your face! (Enver)
Enver was her focus right up until the moment Charlotte stepped between them. As she was blocked from using her powers she snarled at the female and lunged for her. It hadn't been her plan but then circumstances had changed. She'd of been more than happy to have taken her frustrations out on Enver, something they both would have enjoyed, and now here she was having to deal with her childe instead. Not truly wishing her harm however, she simply moved to grab her by the throat, her dagger for the time being held at her side.
"Like I do not when you my powers from me take. Leave me vulnerable you do. Like that I do not," she hissed, her words straining through a clenched jaw. "What between Enver and I passes, ours alone is. Interfere between us you should not."
The anger she'd focused on her husband still shone in her eyes, only now they had a new target. The room about them began to shake, as while the power the girl had cast worked well enough on her vampiric abilities, they didn't seem to work on the ones Keara was still at a loss to explain, the ones she herself had little control over. Had Charlotte stayed out of things, Enver would have likely calmed her down; one kiss from him was usually enough to ease whatever negative emotion stirred inside her, if he could get close enough to kiss her that was. If not, he had powers at his command that could equally swing her mood to much more favourable one; though that would require them to quickly retire to their cell as when her anger was manipulated by him it always turned into an uncontrollable desire for him.

Re: When things blow up in your face! (Enver)
Her eyes went wide as Keara suddenly lunged for her, but she didn't move. She would rather be attacked and hurt than Enver, because it was - after all - all her fault. She felt the fingers wrap around her neck and she just looked back at Keara, her eyes full of sorrow and apology as they looked up into what she thought looked like pure, unadulterated, hatred.
"I'm sorry"
She whispered hoarsely, the fingers putting pressure on her throat.
"But.... I didn't.... You can't hurt Enver. Please........ Hurt me...... Not him."
One hand lifted and gently wrapped around Keara's wrist. She wasn't trying to push her away or prise her off. She just kept on looking at her pitifully and waiting for the dagger to lift and stab her, end it all as it had meant to end that first night they'd met and Keara had instead fed her, her blood.
