Re: Solitary Confinement (Access to Aithne Asylum Required)
His hand wrapped around Enver's throat and picked him up and from somewhere, his hammer appeared and he pressed the cold metal to the other male's face. "Talk to me like that again, and I'll crush your skull like a grape." That he had been asked what was wrong and who he was didn't register to Jonah, it was all the little bit of the man in him could do to keep him from violently attacking the allurist.
And then, someone else was in the room. The killer did not recognize him but he was blood, Keara's, that much was obvious. Not looking at him, his eyes bore in to Enver's. They were red and there were stains on his face from tears, obvious now that the two were face to face. He should not be acting like this, he knew that. Not in front of a new member of the line, someone he should be teaching.
Some part of him broken slightly, he let Enver go and turned back to the wreckage. "Just leave me alone. You can't help."

Re: Solitary Confinement (Access to Aithne Asylum Required)
A crushed skull? Maybe the guy, or monster man could do it. More than maybe. Probably. Definitely. It would hurt, but a crushed skull was only a crushed skull. Enver had dealt with more. The only thing that really bothered Enver at the moment was that he couldn't breathe. Sure, he didn't need to, but it was something he still did because to him, it felt natural to do it, even if he had to think about doing it. To have done something for over thirty years and then just stop doing it, didn't seem, well, natural. So Enver squirmed a little and even coughed, missing the fact that he couldn't breathe with the over-sized monstrous hands around his neck. Hell, Enver even lifted an arm up and smacked at the monster's shoulders a few times to get him to let go.
Once he was let go, either due to the gracious nature of the prick in front of him, or because Enver managed to annoy him enough with the weight of his fist on the guy's shoulders, Enver was on two hands and two needs, choking for air for a good solid minute or so. He heard what the monster man said, but waited until he was standing up to register what it was he heard.
"You're right. Not with that piss poor attitude." Enver confirmed as he pulled out his pack of cigarettes and lighter. He popped one in his mouth, lit it and spoke again. "But you were making noise for some damn reason and now you've got at least the attention of two people." To him, if the guy didn't want help, he wouldn't have been obnoxious with all the ruckus. He wanted someone to hear something and it was evident someone would, so what was his game?

Re: Solitary Confinement (Access to Aithne Asylum Required)
Jonah huffed, disappointed in himself. He was supposed to be in control. That was the lesson that Mircea had taught him, the lesson that he had apparently forgotten. He watched Enver cough and choke on the ground and it was a reminder of just how much of a screw up he was in every way. Not only was he not able to keep AJ happy, he hurt those around him.
The killer shook his head. "I hurt people. It's all I'm good at. Kacee was right. I deserve to be punished. I deserve what happens to me." His attention shifted from the scene in front of him as he retreated in to the Darkness of his mind and began to search through the wreckage, looking for a weapon to scar himself as a reminder of his shortcomings.

Re: Solitary Confinement (Access to Aithne Asylum Required)
Peter watched on in near hopelessness.
He was still a little bit in awe. What he was seeing was nothing normal. Sure, he knew that life wasn’t going to be normal from now on – a far cry from it. But that didn’t mean he still couldn’t be just a little bit shocked by the things that he was confronted with. Like this – a man who looked like a monster. The kind of thing any child wouldn’t want hidden in the darkness of their closets. Tall, giant-like, grotesque, and strong. Snarling.
Enver, however, didn’t seem at all confronted. He appeared irked, rather than afraid. More annoyed at having his night disturbed than overwhelmed by the fact that the source of the disturbance was this creature, who now had him by the throat. The choke-hold didn’t last long, before Enver was dropped again, and the monster, for lack of a better word, began to lament his very existence.
It was only then, really, that the cogs in Peter’s brain began to reverse themselves. No monster would ever speak in such terms. Yes, a monster would threaten to crush someone’s skull like a grape – but no monster would rightly talk about deserving punishment. A monster doesn’t think like that, not in popular belief, anyway. The world is not so black and white, however, and Peter began to realise that this was not a monster, but a man.
”Perhaps it’s the ugliness of your thoughts that are to blame for your current predicament,” Peter said – and then he seemed shocked by the sound of his own voice. As if he hadn’t meant to say that out loud. Of course, he had no idea what the hell was going on or whether this guy was born like this. He struggled to account for his pronouncement.
”I mean… ah… is this … normal? If it isn’t maybe it’s just… we are all our own harshest critics, and I think level of punishment should not be up to you,” he finally garbles, clutching that book to his chest just a tiny bit tighter. He felt completely out of his league.

Re: Solitary Confinement (Access to Aithne Asylum Required)
Keara was stuck in the raid and growing increasingly more bored with what was going on. She was used to being bored when stuck on the higher levels with nothing to do and no-one to talk to. It was times like this that she usually played in Enver's mind. She was just thinking of him when she received his message. (This could have been considered good timing if it wasn't for the fact that Keara's thoughts were often with her husband when she was alone). Her reply however would have to wait as she was suddenly set upon by one of the creatures roaming the floor she was on.
When finally free to do so, she connected to his mind, as it was far quicker than waiting for him to reply, and asked for a description of the person in their home, where they were and what was going on. The gist of it told her, he was likely dealing with Jonah, though how he didn't know that already was beyond her. Having expressed this opinion to her husband, she told him that she had every confidence in him being able to handle the situation and then broke off the connection.
Keara didn't believe that Jonah could be a threat to the family but knew that she should do something and so contacted him next. This time however, she didn't sustain the connection, she simply sent him a message and waited to hear back from her husband if the issue was not peaceably resolved in a timely manner.
'Jonah. Know I do not what doing you are but stop it you should before you yourself or another do injure.'

Re: Solitary Confinement (Access to Aithne Asylum Required)
Who the hell was Kacee? Was she another Vedarian Enver didn't know about? That he hadn't met yet? Not that it mattered at this time, or did it? "Who the hell is Kacee?" He asked before looking around and looking at Peter. "Not that she's here. So I guess her opinion doesn't really mean a damn thing." It was after that retort that Enver got something back from his wife. Something he hadn't yet connected.
"Jonah?" Enver asked in disbelief. No way in hell was this rude being Jonah. His wife had to be wrong, right? Sure, Enver didn't really know Jonah all that well, but the few times they talked, Jonah had never been flat out rude. And he sure wouldn't go around ruining Keara's building. Enver rose to his feet, cigarette in his mouth before he cleared his throat. "What the hell happened to you?" You are Jonah, right? Keara said so." As if that piece of information would make it one hundred percent true.
He circled back to what Peter said as Enver was on the ground. "I'm not really sure who Kacee is, but doubt she has any say on who should or shouldn't be punished." Enver would have said more, like no one had that right, except the law and a jury of peers, but decided best. After all, Jonah was in the faction that didn't really think highly of his thoughts anyways and he was in full monster form. "And as far as I can tell, you haven't really hurt anyone. Just a door. And I'll heal." He shrugged, took a puff in off his cigarette and blew it out. "So what do you say we leave the rest of the room standing, big guy and sort out what's really going on?"

Re: Solitary Confinement (Access to Aithne Asylum Required)
Keara's sudden intrusion in to his mind as unexpected and the disorienting effect her thoughts had on him broke him out of the spiral he was sending himself on. More than anything, he hated that she had learned that he had devolved to this and gritted his teeth, forcing himself to come under control as the connection ended as quickly as it had come.
Looking at the Vedarian he didn't know, his green eyes were flat. "Is what normal?" Realizing that the only thing he could be talking about was his appearance the killer stifled an unhappy laugh. "For awhile now, yes."
Enver's questions came quicker and with his head almost spinning, he shook his head, trying to make sense of what was going on. "I don't know what happened. I don't know what I did..." His shoulders slumped and his massive frame slid to the floor. "Thought she loved me," he whispered more to himself than anyone else. "I guess that's where I went wrong."

Re: Solitary Confinement (Access to Aithne Asylum Required)
Peter felt as if he were drowning; standing there, hugging his book, the world seemed to sway as if times with the tides and he was just a bit of flotsam, bound to go wherever the waves would take him. Although the both of them had heard him, had acknowledged his interjection, and Enver had elaborated upon it, Peter felt as if it hadn’t really done much except answer his own curiosity.
As a mild sufferer of OCD, Peter could pride himself on his attention to detail. Standing there in that room it was obvious something happened to the other two men which did not happen to Peter. And, given Enver’s comments, Peter could only assume Keara had contacted them both, somehow. A loop of communication that he himself was left out of. Jonah, Enver said, as if it were someone he knew. Of course it should be – the guy was in the Asylum, in the Vedarian ‘safehouse’. Why should he not be known?
At least Jonah seemed to calm down, to an extent. The way he crumpled, and the words that he spoke, it was immediately obvious that this whole ordeal had something to do with the matters of the heart. Peter knew about those; could quail under their affect, should he let them. His own matters of the heart he kept locked away, however, tightly bound in a box at the back of his soul. They were better kept there, rather than out in the open. He had a hope that one day, that box would just disappear – rust and ruin, and the contents to spoil and die.
He didn’t think he had much to contribute, at this point. And thus remained standing, awkwardly, at a distance.

Re: Solitary Confinement (Access to Aithne Asylum Required)
Relationships. A very sticky area for Enver, not because he hadn't had his fair share of them, but because all, but one ended badly or awkwardly. "This Kacee lady, right? That's who we're talking about?" In the end it probably didn't matter who Jonah was talking about, because Enver suspected they'd be here regardless of who she was and what her name was. "Well, if she goes around talking to you like that, she sure ain't worth it in my opinion." That much Enver felt was true, so he said it. All in all, Jonah wasn't a bad guy, maybe a little lost in some areas, so why he should be punished was anyone's guess. And really not her place to say or do either.
There was a strange silence between the three males. Peter either didn't know what to say because he didn't really know Jonah and the situation (much like Enver himself) or because Peter had a lack of experience in relationships (could be argued that he too had the same issues, depending on ones viewpoint).
"Don't suppose you could drink, eh?" Enver asked, as if that would fix all of Jonah's problems, but maybe it would cause some bigger ones. Speaking from Enver's own experience from his human and early vampire years. "Scratch that thought. On second thought, we should get out of here. If not for the sake of Keara, then for the sake of your room. You'll want it standing and not ruined after tonight passes. Trust me." Enver walked over to Jonah and offered him a helping hand up. If that was even possible for Enver. "So what do you like to do? Shoot things, stab things, watch movies, golf?" Enver asked, not really sure what it was Jonah did in his past time when he wasn't trying to dole out punishments to other people, something Enver wasn't going to bring up, but had crossed his mind when he was talking about that Kacee woman with Jonah.

Re: Solitary Confinement (Access to Aithne Asylum Required)
Jonah looked at Enver and even as he was in the depths of despair, he couldn't help but laugh at the thought. It was booming and scratchy and his massive form shrunk to something slightly less massive and more similar to what Enver was accustomed to. "No...AJ...""This Kacee lady, right? That's who we're talking about?"
When the allurist finally made his way over to the big killer, he took the hand and stood up with his assistance though how he managed not to pull the smaller male down, he had no idea. "Sorry...for acting like this. I just...no, I can't drink." He cut off his apology, thinking it wasn't what was needed in that moment and not sure what else to do.
"I don't know..." It was so stupid, he didn't know what he liked to do now. He did what he had to do to keep everyone safe, that's all he did. AJ had begun to show him another side to the world, a side filled with enjoyment and pleasure, but that was gone to him now. Gritting his teeth, he tried to keep control so he wouldn't lose it again. "What is there to even do?"
