"Oh... I wonder if I am suppose to have trouble eating or if its just luck..." She thought about it for a moment but figured her kind were suppose to be tough and could probably just manage things even if they were giving them trouble. She smiled and asked. "Would it be rude for me to ask what path you follow? I am still getting accustom to this kind of life and I am still a little unsure of the rules. I've been here for a little bit, long enough to get a feel for things but I have pretty much kept to myself and my family." Her brother had mentioned not giving away to many details, the leads to other problems but she couldn't help but ask anyway, she would be fine with a brush off however direct it was.
She smiled a little but when she mentioned what her profession was. "I see. I have dabbled with computers a little bit but I can only really get things from fairly simple systems. I think some of that is just beyond me at least at this point. I know what you mean about killing. I feel bad when I have to but at the same time if feel kind of good. Not the defenseless or rent-a-cops and stuff but mindless things or those who try and take advantage of me. I had someone offer me a little money for something a little to personal to me and wouldn't take no for an answer. I didn't feel bad for what happened to him." She caught herself going on a bit of a rant and maybe saying more then she really wanted to. She smiled and said. "But I have come to realize just how useful a smoke bomb can be... gotten my out of a few places I shouldn't have been."
Her smile got a little bigger when she mentioned the place down the street. She had noticed it but never stopped in to check things out. "Well I will have to check them out sometime, its always good to have a few places around town you can go and drop off unwanted things. I never know how I end up with some many spare electronics. I don't even own a tv and I think I ended up with two dvd players. Sorry I am babbling again."

Charlie gave a little bit of a shrug at the girl's question. From what she knew when it came to eating, it really did depend on the path but just like in the human world she used to be a part of, there was always the exception to the rule. So many could be the same thing and each one have their own thing that makes them different from all the others. She looked at the girl but there was really no way to tell what the girl was, to her she looked like every other vampire, smelled like every other vampires, acted like every other vampire. Well... most vampires that she had come to know and know about.
When she asked about the Path, it was still something that she was getting used to. "I've been told that I'm an Allurist, given some of the traits that I have. I also am still fairly new to this city, I moved here from Maine about 6 months ago. As for the rules, it's really hard to say what I know to be true and what I have basically been told to just ignore. And then there are the rules that I think are just asinine so I don't even bother to follow those. A few of the places that I look about on the net though have been able to give me a little help here and there."
Then she smiled a little and nodded "Computers are things I know quite well, I rather love just sitting in front of the computer with a nice hot coffee and maybe a roll or two and just see what kind of systems I can get into and all of the files I can sell from said systems. It's a great way to make money I've found out. $1000 bucks a day at least on some days. I tend to average about $500 though." She did love hacking, and every day it got a bit easier, every day it got more and more money for her. By this point she could already by her own business, but of course, she had no idea why kind of business she would even want to run let alone who else she would trust enough to hire. There were so many things about business that she just didn't understand. She was sure though that she would eventually learn everything she needed about businesses, but for now she was having too much fun being on the wrong side of the law.
It was then that she zoned back in and she realized the girl was still talking, about breaking said laws. "I know what you mean, I can't even begin to list how many Microwaves I run into, or how many canisters of Chemical waste. Not to mention wire and watches. It's mind blowing, even for my mind, which was pretty big and open to begin with, but now that I am this way. Well, now it seems I have even more storage capacity than before."

"Yeah I read a bunch of things but the way I feel about it rules are meant to be broken. Normally if I do something that bad someone comes and yells at me but for the most part things have been pretty stress free. Its really strange to be as um... whats the word, happy as I am here. I never thought I could find a place that I could just be and someplace I feel relatively safe." As far as she knew she hadn't gotten on anyones bad side save for maybe a few dazed humans, but she was still learning how to better cover her tracks at that point.
"Sounds like you make a pretty good living doing things like that. I really should look into something that pays a little better then just collecting odd things I find. I did recently find a few modified weapons, not the best but I don't want to part with them just yet. Yeah I have collected so much of that stuff I was thinking about either opening my own electronics store or maybe a stationary store. I make enough to get by so I am pretty happy, being nimble has helped me quite a bit." She took another sip of her coffee noticing it had really cooled down during the time she was talking, she made a bit of a face but drank her sip anyway.

Charlie nodded to the girl, she had said the same sort of thing not only a week before she had ended up being sent to that blasted Shadow Realm. It had left her changed now. Now she knew what Elliot had meant about some of the things he had told her about. And while she agreed both with him and this girl that now sat before her, she sat at a bit of a cross roads. She had come to be a fair bit more careful about things. Learning to hide better, but the number one thing that had taken precedence was that she spent a lot of time building traps, trying to better her skill at making them so that when something like what happened earlier the month had happened, she would be going with one hell of a fight.
The girl went on about opening an Electronic store or a stationary shop, both were things she knew already existed, but who was she to tell this girl different. She just smiled and nodded a bit as she closed her laptop all the way and leaned against it, looking at the girl. "It's just not the same anymore when it gets cold hmm?" She asked, she had spotted the slight face the girl had made when she was drinking it. "How about I get us a couple more cups and you tell me a little more about you hmm?" She asked as she looked at the girl and waited for her answer.

"Sure that would be nice." She said with a little smile. Once Charlie stood it would be pretty clear that Alexis hadn't really done much with her coffee other then let it touch her lips. "I don't really have much to say about myself. I'm pretty boring actually." She said with a small shy smile on her face. She let out a little sigh and just sat there for a moment waiting for her to step away. She really didn't think there was much to say about herself. She had spent little time actually do things in the city but she figured she could come up with a few things, it was a bit odd to her to think someone might actually want to know a thing or two.
When she stepped away Alex looked back into her bag for a moment just to check her phone for a moment, she didn't want to be rude after all but she still wanted to see if she had gotten any calls from her siblings. None had, they normally kept pretty quite but still she like to look. After that she just spaced out watching a few other people around.

Charlie gave a little nod and then smiled and stood up. Making her way to the counter she started to flirt up the barista working her 'charms' on them so that she could talk down the price of the coffees as well as the two chocolate chip muffins she had ordered for them as well. As she waiting for the new coffee, Charlie turned and leaned against the counter, looking back at the girl as she was spoken too. "I could say the same thing about myself. Not only am I boring, and a home body, but i'm a total nerd." She said with a soft laugh before she turned back to the counter, allowing the girl to check her phone in privacy.
Charlie paid the discounted price for the food and drinks and moved back over to the girl offering her a coffee and a muffin before she took her seat behind her laptop once again. She lifted the coffee to her lips and took in a soft sip, it burned but it didn't hurt like it should have. She didn't attempt to hide the fact that it wasn't painful to her, it wasn't like the person behind the counter was watching them anyways as they chatted. "There must be something, how about how long...?" she said as she motioned to the girl and then to herself to silently ask about how long she had been a vampire.
There were a few other things she wanted to ask but she would wait till the girl answered the first question.
