--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
Velveteen - Tameka Vassey. Just the very thought of that woman brought about a mixed bag of emotion for Velveteen, that varied from frustration, amusement, affection, more frustration and sometimes anger. She was a trial at best but Vel could not help but like the woman none the less. The circumstances that led to Meka’s turning weren’t the most favourable and she knew at times she was simply being unreasonable with her expectations but that is how it worked. That is how she worked. Coddling them didn’t do anyone any favours.
Meka also had a knack for sharing way more than Vel needed to know about most everything and this was no exception. The woman was torn between amusement and disgust and the mental images she was left with long after Meka left verged on traumatising. How was she ever to be able to deal with Axel without feeling nauseous? And the idea of the two of them in her hot tub? Surely Meka was only joking. That was a little too brash….even for her. This did not stop Velveteen from sharing the conversation with her husband though. If she had to suffer it then so should he. That was what love and marriage was all about after all.
Micah - Where the hell did Vel find these people? Really he wanted to know. Normally he could tolerate Meka. She was loud, brash, crude and she wasn’t afraid to tell someone like it was. Micah respected that. Sometimes he thought she was simply misunderstood and that underneath that crass attitude there was a woman who was just looking for a place where she could belong and be herself. Something else he could respect and understand. Until the conversation that he had had with Vel and what Meka had done. Then his tolerance for the girl just kind of went south. Way south.
Micah didn’t care who Meka chose to spend her time with or who she chose to give her affections to but he would be damned if she was gonna do it in his hot tub. And the things Vel had told him...yeah he was scarred and damaged for life now, thank you very much. There would be no clandestine meetings in his hot tub if he had anything to do with it. What was his was his and Micah didn’t share very well. So he’d come up with a plan to deter his wife’s childe and once he had it all together, he went to his wife and laid it all out for her.
Velveteen - She had tortured him with explicit detail and the pained expressions that contorted his features when they had spoken were clearly indicative of this. Why Velveteen thought that would be the end of it she would never know. She should have known better but still, when he did come and tell her of his plans all she could do was laugh. The whole thing really was laughable and his concerns about escaped bugs being in places they shouldn’t be amused her. Yes it was funny. She didn’t really think Meka was being serious about sneaking up there, just like she didn’t really think Micah was serious about his plan. Perhaps if she had she may have reacted differently. Perhaps he wouldn’t have taken her laughter as some sort of consent.
Micah - Vel had been amused when he told her what he was going to do. She’d laughed and so he took that as permission to do what it was that he wanted to do. Normally he wouldn’t care if someone wanted to come up and spend some time relaxing in the hot water but after the conversation that his wife had relayed to him, in great detail much to his horror, it just wasn’t gonna happen. So he’d grabbed the items that he needed and headed out to where the hot tub was located. Carefully he started to lay the traps. A bear trap, a shrapnel bomb, a proximity mine were first, followed by a poison trap and a toxic gas trap. Last he placed a sensor just so he’d be notified. Anyone else would have probably asked him first before they tried to go in so he’d be able to warn them. And Vel knew what he was going to do she he wasn’t worried there. With everything in place the only thing left for him to do was wait.
It didn’t take as long as he thought it would. One minute he was sitting in the Eyrie doing absolutely nothing when the sensor that he had placed went off and the explosion that followed could be felt throughout the entire treehouse. Epic. Truly it was. Micah waited a few minutes then headed upstairs to assess the damage. Just as he suspected it had been Meka but...well she was far worse off than he had thought she would be. The girl was floating face down in the chlorinated water and on closer look she appeared to be missing her legs. He only had one word to say to that. “Oops.” He stared at the floating girl for a few more minutes before he reached out with his mind to contact his wife. ”Uhh Vel? Can you come up to the hot tub please? We have a bit of a problem here.”
