A laugh escaped her when she saw the look in his eyes. Though the two were speaking of different "breaks," Elizabeth did not mind his suggestion either. It was only logical, given the other two could not stay in the home forever. Their chaos would only consume the household, slowly but surely.
With a blade given to her, Elizabeth raised her brow high. A look that spoke, ' you cannot be serious.' But there was no point in asking him that, for she knew he was. And if she stated her opinion, it would start a debate about guns being better than blades or blades being better than the other. While the argument often was amusing, there was serious work to be done. Two blades, two demi-fae. One for the each of them.
"You can have number three. I think he will give you a run for your money." Elizabeth nodded her head, then stepped backwards, but not before she pressed a kiss to his lips. "A kiss for luck." The woman whispered as she adjusted the knife in her palm to rest in it both comfortably and defensively. There was no way she was going to let it get another wound without a fight.
Certain neither of the two were in the bedroom, Elizabeth headed out of the room and to the garden. If she was a fae like creature, wouldn't she go to a place that reminded her of the wilderness? It seemed logical, and so her mind computed it as such. Different hues of green, purple and pinks greeted the woman when she pushed the glass door open softly. The vampiress peeked her head into it, and let her eyes scan the room. First the area closest to her, then far right to far left. Not seeing anything, the woman closed her eyes and listened for the sounds in the lucious spread. A rustling noise caught her attention and her eyes fluttered back open once again. With a determined nod, Elizabeth was off in pursuit of the creature with a look that mirrored Shamus' moments before.

It was a good thing that Shamus had not witnessed the look that Elizabeth gave him. Had he had seen it, he would have called a halt to all of their progress they had made towards the hunt and explain how his knives were so pristine and the guns she so loved were mundane. This of course would have led to an argument and most likely a dance. A dance where she would try a gun he had bought her out on him and he would try a blade that she had bought him out on her. It would not stop until either was critically wounded or they were rolling around kissing each other madly, drenched in each others blood. While he would have loved that, his mind was set for the hunt.
"Number three," he was mouthing the words to himself as she pressed her lips to his, saying how they needed a kiss for luck. While it might have been true, he had no idea who number three or rather which one. Still he gave a nod either way and cloaked himself within the shadows to himself from all sight. He would not be seen coming before he made the first strike. For this exact reason he put the blade of the knife between his teeth and began to look around, ready to give the thing a strong blow and not a stab for fairness.
His eyes picked up Elizabeth going out towards the garden, but Shamus had a different idea in mind. The one he was after wanted keys, his keys to be precise. There might be a small chance that the one that scratched his hand was still inside their home looking for other things. It might be keys or it might have moved on to something else. Their place certainly had a lot of things that plenty of people would want, much less these creatures that seemed to be running rampant all over the place.
There was a sound off in the closet in another bedroom as if something was dropped or rather a lot of things. With his hopes set as high as they could be as he went to go investigate what made the noise. Shamus was paid off by sticking to his own thought process instead of going to follow Elizabeth. It was just as he had suspected and hoped for. The one who had scratched his hand and made him bleed was looting through a small box of jewelry, not finding anything it really wanted.
A quirk of a grin set to his features, though only on the right side. Now was the time to get revenge for the surprise attack that was made on him. His teeth bit on to the cold steel of the knife and his thoughts traveled there to stabbing the demon before him. He shook his head, knowing he couldn't do that. He was going to take it slow, make it as painful as possible as he enjoyed the torture of this demi-fae. Before he could launch the surprise assault, the creature turned his head and looked at him.
This normally wouldn't have bothered Shamus, but for some reason the thing before him was not looking through him. His eyes moved to look to look to check and see if the shadows still incorporated around his body. They were. But for some reason, the demi-fae was looking at him instead of through him like the norm.
Shamus moved a hand back and forth to test and see if what he thought was real since it seemed for now that the creature had no intent of attacking. The eyes of the demi-fae followed followed his hand, slowly. It was at that moment he knew and realized that he was not strong enough with his powers. That he needed to train them more or that there was a higher level that he had yet to obtain. He frowned a bit, and decided he would ask Elizabeth about that all later. Then without a second thought he channeled all of shadows he had pulled around him to one point and sent them flying like a javelin at the demi-fae's head.

Whatever it was that was making the noise in her garden had no qualms about letting Elizabeth know it was there. It was as if it was goading her; saying it was not scared of her and this was their space. First they tried to take over her home, but when they tried to lay their claim to her garden...the line had to be drawn. What seemed amusing, no longer made the woman laugh, but made her scowl. If even one flower was ruined in her garden, it would ruin all her hard work and perhaps future orders and profits.
No, it was time for whatever it was that was letting its location known to her to go. The woman sucked in a breath of air and closed her eyes and allowed silence to envelope her completely. Tiny feet moved on the earth, avoiding blades of grass that were too long that might snap and reveal her location. A twig from a tree had fallen and caused the tiny woman to spin to avoid it and a gardening tool that Elizabeth was certain she had not left out. God forsaken demi-hell spawns. The woman thought, perhaps hard enough for him to hear her as she inched up on the creature.
Only it wasn't a creature, or the creature she was looking for. Instead, there laid a black, white and orange cat rolling in the tiger lily's. The woman extended a quick finger at it, scolding it in silence before she picked it up and placed it on its fours. Then, with a gentle pat, she coaxed it to move on its way. Once the cat got the understanding of what its owner wanted it to do, it bounded off to the entrance of the garden, then disappeared inside the home. With a satisfy nod, Elizabeth returned her gaze to her garden and listened to the sounds within it. When the woman heard nothing, she turned and headed back to the main part of the large home, where she stopped and grabbed a small hand gun from a large vase that once held flowers, but sat empty as mere decoration. What Shamus did not know, hurt nothing.

With an unearthly quickness, the demi fae ducked underneath the spear like shadow strike and followed them directly to the source. Already it had known of Shamus and his presence, but it did not detect any threat as it was rummaging for things until the attack. With the attack already made, it was its turn for retaliation. From underneath the shadows it came, nails as if they were talons, aimed for his abdomen.
The entire scenario seemed over for Shamus. It was odd to him that there was no sign of remains, but he did know if this creature was kin to anything he had slain before. Also he did not know that the creature was hidden by his shadow strike and charging for an attack. His only saving grace was the reflexes he had honed during his time as a vampire. As the strike came towards his stomach, he could feel the sudden movements and was able to act accordingly by side stepping with a pivot. The shadows he had called to do all his bidding dispersed to the winds as his concentration broke.
The demi fae landed with a cat's grace and turned to look back at him. There was a look in the demon's eyes that Shamus would never understand as the two stared each other down for those few precious seconds. Whatever the demi fae had decided, it was not to stay around and has it out with him any longer. Given the distant between them it thought it could run away and get away safely. And so it took the opportunity to do so.
From his mouth, Shamus took his knife that he had been biting down on. He had that feeling in him that now was the perfect time to use the knife. He did not run after the demi fae, but he took the knife and began to aim at the little demon. Never once could he recall having thrown a knife before, but he had seen people in movies do it, so it couldn't be that hard. Timing. He told himself that in his mind repeatedly as he gave the target a bit of distance and threw the knife.
Not once had the creature turned back to look, but when there was a loud bang, the demi fae was tempted enough just to peek. The knife that Shamus had thrown fell epicly short and slid right along to its feet. The little demi fae could not have been happier, having taken something that the vampire wanted to use on it. It was too caught up in the prize it had won to realize what was about to happen, however.
Having failed miserably on his throw, Shamus immediately began to dash after the demi fae. To his own luck or its misfortune, the creature was tied up in looking over the knife. Now was his chance that he would seize and make up his previous misses. Until the moment he had a rare case happen to him, he stumbled. Falling right on to the demi fae and instantly trying to gain control of the knife.

With the garden being a dead end, Elizabeth honestly had no idea where to look. The property had many rooms and many places for it to hide in. Should she go back by the ritual alter? She knew the bedroom was closed off and there would be no chance for it to return to the room. If it did, it would be disappointed.
The sound of a pool ball caught her attention and Elizabeth circled around with the small pistol lifted up high and aimed at the table. There, stood her opponent, the one she had claimed for herself and in his hand was a piece she had found during her nightly looting. Apparently it was an antique from an era she had missed out; The Depression Era. Elizabeth was glad to have missed a time in history that was named after a negative feeling.
"Put it down." Elizabeth warned as she pulled back the hammer of the small pistol, as if the creature could understand what she was saying and if it did, it would listen to her. It barely listened to her when she was speaking its language and asking it to do a task that it was quite good at, supposedly.
It stared at her, clutched the antique vase tighter in its clawed hands. Clawed feet dug in to the moss coloured felt, slowly shredding it with each small movement it made before its "stand" against her. Slowly, the right arm moved up and then in a quick blink of an eye, the object was thrown towards Elizabeth. Since the object would soon be destroyed, Elizabeth pulled the trigger and let a bullet go sailing right in to the red coloured glass vase. The glass shattered almost above the head of the creature, but enough to do what Elizabeth had intended it to do. Shards rained down on top the creature, cutting in to its flesh, which irritated it enough to have it lunge off the table at her.
Elizabeth watched the creature approach her with such hasty fury before the woman simply raised her hands from the ground to above her head and let an invisible barrier surround her. The creature lashed out at her with clawed hands, but seemed unable to penetrate the barrier she had cast. Then, with her left foot, Elizabeth punted the creature away from her and half way across the room. It smacked the wall, shook its head and sat there dazed.

The demi fae could only howl as Shamus' weight crashed down on top of it. No movements he made could escape the eye of the demon that wailed on. Claws soon scratched at his hands, tearing a part flesh as he tried to pull the knife away. The memory of what Elizabeth had said previously of teleporting them away began to surface, but he could not do that. This one was a challenge and he would lay his life on the line to step up to the task.
With the struggle for who would take control over the knife, the pair began to roll all over the floor. The demi fae was content with randomly taking chunks out of Shamus' flesh and at this point, he was content with laying kicks, elbows, punches, or whatever he could land to try to take hold of the knife. There was no ground being won on either side, it was just a brawl with no side coming out the better.
Their rolling brawl pulled them closer to where Elizabeth was, though Shamus had no idea. His entire mind was being pulled into fighting the demon that was before him and he would slay it. The small distractions that crept up did not help him with this task. The gun firing, he could easily ignore. She was one who loved guns, no matter how much he loathed them. The sound of glass breaking was enough to pull some of his concentration. Couple this with the banging against the wall and it all went down hill.
The demi fae did not care about anything that was going on. It wanted the knife and with Shamus not paying as much attention as he should have been, the demi fae gouged out his stomach with its talon like claws. The pain was immense and he would have buckled over from it, had he not been locked in mortal combat. Grasping for straws, he self consciously pulled for what he knew, the shadows.
Tendrils of shadows answered his call, responding for the call of duty. With only seconds passing, the tendrils bound themselves together tightly for him and lay for his order. The demi fae had the knife alone in its hands, its prize. It did indeed see the shadows, but it was all too late. Shamus took the shadows in hand and shoved the shadow sword into the demon's deformed skull. It would not bother him anymore.
Slowly he gathered himself and looked at the remains of a good adversary. Shamus gave a small nod and turned away, leaving the knife behind. There were so many sounds that he had heard that he had to explain, but still there was something he had to take care of. Concentrating on his stomach he began to speak a few words that were still foreign to him even if he knew them so well. A strong power rushed through him and the wound cleared itself.
Taking quick steps he made his way at a good pace to the room the sounds came from. It was not a surprise to see Elizabeth in the room with the other cursed demi fae. Shamus was relieved to find that she did not seem to be harmed by the confrontation that was had. With a bit of a smile he walked over to her slowly, wrapping an arm around her waist, "So... Just who be it that brings guns ta a knife fight?"

"The woman who is prepared for anything." She replied nonchalantly as his arm found its way around her. The woman looked at the Demi fae with disdain, shook her head at her obviously defeated attempts at trying to perfect even the basic of rituals before the woman left his side with a kiss to his cheek. "I'll be back soon." With the creature dazed, Elizabeth did not want to waste much, or any time to use it to her advantage. As it was, the thing had managed to gt a few cuts in her earlier in the evening.
As the petite, blonde woman approached the demi-fae, Elizabeth began to mumble a few words, each step bringing a new word forth. With each step came a darkening of the room, until finally the room was considered dimly lit in normal circumstances. A few more words were spoken before the shadows almost seemed to come to life. They shadows size and shape altered, then glided across the length of the room until every part of the room was brightly lit, while the creature had been encased in a cover of shadows. Elizabeth reached down into the shadows, her hands turning a tinge of red as they reached out and grabbed the burdensome beast.
The creature squirmed and howled as its flesh started to boil, claws slashing out at anything, most of all her to get free from Elizabeth. A claw burrowed itself deep into the top of her right hand, causing the woman to drop the femi-fae with a shaking of her hand before a leg came out and attempted to kick it again. Only the kick was poor and Elizabeth sent it straight towards Shamus. Elizabeth parted her lips to speak, but was a bit too slow. "Oh! Look-" Too late. The creature with burning flesh landed smack dab in the middle of his chest and was it pissed off.

There was a small roll of his shoulders in a light-hearted shrug to her reply. It figured really. She would always favor a gun and it seemed that nothing Shamus would ever do could change her mind. A small smile took to his lips as he thought about it some before frowning a bit. It didn't matter, but he really would have liked it if Elizabeth would roll around with him with a knife in her hands. Those guns were just too easy to scare.
It was during his thought process that she had started to wander towards the demi fae. He couldn't recall the number it had or even if ever truly knew what number it was. He just knew that it was a spawn of something evil. He could sense it, he knew that much. Just faintly he could hear Elizabeth mumbling words, each coming with a step she took. It must have been agonizing for the beast to know that such doom was approaching. Shamus could only grin a bit at the idea of it all.
As the room grew darker, his mood began to lift. He had forgotten about the entire scrap he had earlier with the other demi fae. None of it really mattered right now. She was bringing another home to him. Elizabeth was bringing him the darkness. Though it struck him a bit odd now that he thought about it. When it came to the shadows they seemed to respond to his own will as if he was saying the words within his mind and they were doing his bidding. He would have to watch other paths that he had acquired powers from to see if they had to say a spell or if it just came naturally and he would have to watch other Shadows to see what all they did.
The sudden absence of the darkness jolted him straight from his thoughts. Shamus had to shake his head to bring himself back into reality. She had ensnared the demon spawn within a blanket of shadows. Not only that, Elizabeth was using a trick that he had seen Mystics use before. There was no incantation this time. He frowned a bit as he could not quite understand why. But now was not the time to form any theories as the demi fae was starting to attack her in return. Things were going really bad for him though. Before he could even step forward, the creature was attached to his chest and burning holes in his suit.
The pain did not seem to register and the loss of the suit. Not even whenever the demi fae plunged its talons into his stomach. His suit was destroyed. Shamus had already forgotten the alterations that the prior combat had done and so in his mind, this beast had done everything. For little to no reason. Has his own rage began to boil over the top, the shadows engulfed them both. There was an occasional movement to the shadows as if they themselves were alive, but nothing more was seen from the outside.
From within there was a brawl going on within the small dome of shadows. The demi fae was still trying to gouge anything of Shamus it could and its skin was blistering hot, enough to leave marks on the skin of the vampire. But he would not yield. Livid beyond means he yelled, "Mar sin cabhrú liom mé mallacht tú, agus ar fad do sinsear!" There was a loud crack in which he had snapped the neck of the demi fae and waited for it to respond. There was no response and he threw it from the shadows.
With his anger slowly calming he was able to think more clearly. Shamus still had other suits so it would be just fine. He gave a bit of a nod as the shadows began to recede and he smiled a bit looking around for Elizabeth, "Everythin' be on tha alright side?"

He was using his native tongue and cursing things. The woman frowned, knowing all too well Shamus's affection for his clothing. It was strangely similar to her own when things became ruined. If not for the money reason, then for the sheer fact that clothing sent a message to a person as they saw you. Much like shoes.
After the battle had finished, with Shamus more or less killing the thing for her, Elizabeth curled her way in to his side and placed a kiss to his lips. "Everything is perfect. And as it should be." With all the demi-fae gone, things could be cleaned up and return to normal. Rituals were things she would have to do when he was not around, or not in the family home. Her lips pressed to his jawline as her fingers slid in to his and gave them a small squeeze of assurance.
"Now, I believe you owe me a night out." She slipped out of his reach, just barely after a hand smoothed over the parts of his suit that had been damaged, thanks to her not so fancy footwork. "Or, perhaps I owe you one." She laughed, softly, not wanting him to think she was laughing at his ruined suit, at least not entirely. Perhaps, in the end it was an intentional move, or something completely tactical in her mind. Her husband, without his shirt on, was far from a loss in her books.
"I acquired a new sword in the catacombs and thought we could try it out." The woman replied, ever so casually, as if it were no big thing for her to want to use a blade, when in fact, the woman hadn't used one in about a year. At least, not solidly. "I think it would put yours to shame." She taunted, before leaving the room with a smug smile to go collect the item she spoke of when he was ready to meet her challenge.

She was by his side. The world was starting to feel slightly better now that Elizabeth was where she was. Her words to him made the feeling that more absolute. However with everything that came afterwards, Shamus had to raise a brow. They owed each other a night out? It felt like it was boiling down to that. But with the words that came next, there was only one thing that came to mind. It was anything but trying out a new sword. Dancing was always a nice way to set a mood and he could see it as she left. He would have to dress for the occasion.
Clothes were the utmost important in this event. He knew how she would be when she came to the field and so he would match her in body and in spirit. A small smile took hold of his features as he chose the clothes that were most fitting. So simple and yet profound as he felt they spoke for him. A black suit with a green undershirt accompanied with his cowboy hat that he rarely wore these days. The best attire he could think of for the evening.
Choosing the blade was essential for what was to come next. He would not come out bringing some ******** sword and swinging for the fences. What he required now was finesse. A small knife that he had found in the catacombs. It was brought out a laugh as he thought of how she was bringing the blade she had also found in the catacombs. He was slightly curious on if the two blades would speak as they danced through the air as he knew their own movements would display a language of its own.
The only thing left for Shamus to do now was to find Elizabeth. He did not search the house, he did not need to. He had a feeling that he already knew where she would be. This dance had been done countless times before, it was a calling. The park was so beautiful at night and it easily drew their attention. So it was fair to say that she would already be there waiting for him and so he set out in order to dance.
