When CC was excited, she always moved with determination and as if she was on a mission which 90% of the time meant that Kennedy was being drug behind her. A soft chuckle and a roll of her eyes as she was led through the club and to the stairs where the private rooms had been indicated. Taking her first step upon the stairs and her eyes lit up when the stairs did. It was a genius idea while being entertaining at the same time. Would let the bouncers know when people were on the stairs and those that were ADD had something to keep them entertained as they were pulled away from the stage and lights to a more private setting.

Walking down the corridor, a small wave of excitement was growning within her. She had her CC back and there was no way that she would let her get away again. They had been through far too much. Stepping into the room as they had finally arrived and looked around. It was absolutely stunning with a taste of CC touch. If all of the rooms were like this, she wouldn't be surprised but she also wouldn't have been surprised if CC had a room done up special just for her and her personal clients.

Turning just as CC was handing her a glass of champagne with a crushed strawberry, which was one of her favorite drinks when she was at the club and not drinking whiskey. Kennedy had taken notice that CC hadn't spoken a word since they climbed the stairs and entered the room. It was strange for her to not see Kennedy in so long and not have anything to talk about. Even when they spoke every day and all day...they always found something to talk about even if it was about nothing in general. Something was up which caused her concern. CC was being awkward and she didn't know how she felt about it.

"Well it's good to get away from the constant entourage of bodyguards. I had to fight with my parents to take this trip. Hell...they still fight with me to move out of that dump I moved into. Their boss wasn't comfortable that I was living there but I think you remember that. Once you left...I couldn't get Vinnie to agree that I didn't need the extra security. Why they still think I need it or why they want to protect me so damn bad...I don't know but christ, it was ridiculous. When I told them that I was coming to see you then they let up but still frustrating. Can't move without a two ton man blocking my path. Though I am curious as to why you came here. Of all the places in the world to chose it's Harper Rock. A town in the middle of no where in Canada. I thought you would go somewhere more exotic if you had the chance to break free. So come on...out with it. What's up?"

She looked up, listening to the woman ramble slightly and also ask some questions. It annoyed her that she was still putting up with the damn bodyguards the idiots in Vegas insisted on surrounding her with. However, she didn't tell her what she knew - it was one thing she'd never told her and never would. It was a secret between them that she thought she would take to her grave, and it was the reason she'd left Vegas. She'd done all she could for Kennedy there, done unspeakable things to keep her safe and keep her free - and while things had changed behind the scenes, they hadn't on the face of things. Kennedy knew that things had happened, but she didn't know what or exactly why. Even CC didn't know why she'd done as she had for this woman - but the only thing she could think was that yes, she had been slightly attracted to the woman. And when she'd accidentally found out what was to happen to her - she'd been outraged and for once, had taken the moral high ground.

SHe then thought about the question as to why she came here, thinking about the conversations in bed that she'd had with various men and women. Them in the afterglow of their orgasm, so much more pliable and easily led into conversations they might not otherwise have been, so that she could get all manner of information from them which she then used as blackmail or to sell on to others. It was in a few of these moments that the name Harper Rock had come up as a hub of activity for the Gangsters. And of course - where there was gangsters, there was money and people wanting to send it.

"I was planning to go somewhere more exotic once I had the money together. But you know I needed to get out of Vegas, couldn't stay there anymore. Well, I didn't have the cash to retire - and I'd heard of this place through some of the clients. So I headed out to 'make my fortune' as it were."

She chuckled and sipped her drink, though it was a slightly uncomfortable chukle.

"Now, as you can see, I've found myself a pot of gold."

And then her voice dropped slightly.

"And so much more..."

Kennedy had been watching her even as she took a sip from the flute in her hand. she had come to know the woman pretty well over the years or so she had thought but to know that she was keeping something from her was frustrating. Didn't mean that she wasn't allowed to have her secrets but there was something about what she was keeping now that seemed to bother CC and that began to bother Kennedy as well. Crossing her leg over the other after she had claimed one of the chairs in the room. The foot began to swing back and forth as she kept her eyes on CC, hoping that she would give something away but per the usual...CC was good at keeping her guard up.

Nodding her head as the words began to flow from CC's perfectly painted lips, she knew very well that CC was dying to get out of Vegas. It didn't make sense though as CC had a good thing going there or at least she had thought so anyhow. A sigh left her lips just before she began to reply.

'Yeah, I know but you never told me why? You never gave me a reason...you just got upset and left. I loved you and you left without saying much of why but if you needed the cash...I could have gotten it for you. That or I could have given you what I have saved. Not much but it's something."

Her chuckle was off and it made her perk her brow.

"Indeed you have, you have done nicely here but what about this "so much more"? What did you find other than your club that's keeping you here?"

She all but growled when the woman said she could have given her the cash she had. She'd told her many times to save her money, that there would be a day when she'd escape the people she were surrounded by and then she'd need the money. It had got through and the more time DD had spent with CC, the tougher she'd become. However, if she were offering up her money again then she'd obviously softened again. CC had been gone too long from her side and she was slipping back into the 'normal' range of behaviour. How this woman had been so unselfish and kind growing up as she had was beyond CC - but then again, she'd had no idea what had been planned for her. That had been kept from her, and CC had only found out because she was a part of the world in what seemed like another lifetime.

Then an idea came to her, there was a couple of things she could change and that she could do. Perhaps if she were to bring DD into this life it would once more toughen her up and bring back the woman CC had saved and gotten to know. It would also ensure that those in her past and present would not get to her again. There was no way they could go back on their word to her if she were to kill DD, turn her into a vampire. She would be useless to them as a vampire, at least for their initial plan and the reason she'd been kept as she had been.

She realised she'd been quiet for a while, and she decided that she'd ignore the first questioning statement - because she'd always promised herself she would never tell the woman what had happened, what had been planned and what she'd done to stop it. Instead, she moved on to the other. The question about what was 'so much more'.

"Grab a seat, and I'll tell you"

She waited and watched the woman move and then turned to face her. She smiled a wide and toothy smile, and then extended her fangs down so that they were obvious and unmissable to the woman she was facing.

"Well, turns out vampires are real - and they wanted me as one of them......"

And then she waited for the reaction.

The minute that CC had told her to grab a seat, Kennedy had done just that as she hoped that CC would tell her what was going on, what she was dealing with and why she ran away. Looking up at her as a small child would at story time, she was intrigued on what the woman before her had to say. Finishing off her drink, she rested the flute on a nearby table and waited.

As CC began to smile there was something strange about it. Her face looked the same but twisted in a way that she had never seen before and it was unsettling. As fangs began to grow from her teeth like they did in all those movies that she watched out of boredom. She tilted her head and froze. The words that followed seemed to linger as she processed it all. She began to laugh and shake her head. Kennedy needed more of an explaination than the fact that vampires were real.

Honey brown eyes looked over at the woman she loved and perked her brow. "Come on CC... Vampires? Real? It's not even Halloween yet. Has people been drugging your drinks? Give me more of an explaination than 'they're real' because we aren't in Washington State and vampires aren't supposed to sparkle." With her final statement, she reached over to CC and wiped off some of the body glitter that she was so used to seeing her wear for the shows that she would put on for the customers. The more shine and sex-appeal the better the money. It was a simple business especially if you were good at it like they were.

She let DD touch her to wipe the glitter off and knew she'd feel her body temperature and how much lower it was. It was something she had to work hard to mask when she was up close and personal with a client, but she'd found ways around it that seemed to work so far. She tried to think over the things she'd learnt, the power she had, but nothing obvious came to mind. The only thing she could think to show was a bit of enhanced speed and strength - though she'd always been pretty fast and strong, so she wasn't sure what would make the woman believe. She tapped her fangs gently, thoughtfully, as she looked at DD and shrugged her shoulders.

"Then I guess I'll just have to show you something a little more, compelling."

She straightened up and moved to DD's side, then bending down she picked up the chair DD sat in by the leg and lifted. She held it in one hand, balancing the chair and DD within it at about shoulder height, before setting her back down again and looking at the woman.

"Yeh. I'm dead. I was killed. And turned into..... this."

And with that, she ran around the room a couple of times at a speed only a top class, gold medal winning sprinter would be able to accomplish.

"I'm not sure what else to show you to make you believe..."

She nearly froze as she felt the temperature of CC's body. Her eyes shot up to look her in the eyes with shock before she pulled her hand back and looked around the room for a blanket.

"Jesus CC...you're ******* freezing! Are you trying to catch a cold?"

Kennedy didn't have time to get up out of the chair to grab the blanket because CC was lifting her into the air one handed. Trying to process it all, it didn't make sense though a chuckle slipped from her as she shook her head. Muscles... CC had been working out quite a bit. That was the only explanation but vampire? What was she getting at? As she was placed back on the floor, Kennedy watched her run about at high speed and thought that she should enter CC into the Olympics as she would surely win. Her best friend and been through a lot of changes since she had left her.

"I don't know what to tell you, CC. I just think your staff has been drugging you but what you are showing me is something you could do if you lifted weights and pushed yourself to run more and harder. Your fangs look to be like an illusion. I just don't..."

She cut off in mid-sentence as she started thinking. Those brilliant honey globes looked CC directly in the eyes as the terrible but devious thought came to her and the smirk slipped upon her lips.

"Bite me..."

The woman obviously didn't believe her and CC just frowned at her and let her prattle on about her staff drugging her. However, when she told her to bite her, it was CC's turn to blink and stare.

"You what?"

She shook her head, thrust her hip out and folded her arms over her stomach, just below her chest.

"No. I won't. I ******* won't do it."

There was no way she wanted to turn DD into this, into this dead thing and deny her a life she'd fought so hard to give her in the first place. And biting her, to drink from her.... that just seemed abhorent to her. Her mind was flip flopping back and forth, because on the other hand - it meant that she'd have a friend forever and would never again be without anyone. And that, was a very attractive prospect in itself.

Kennedy tilted her head as she watched CC. the blink and stare from CC was nearly priceless to her that she was able to stun the woman. Finally an advantage. If she truly believed that she was a vampire and wanted Kennedy to believe then she would have to prove it the only way that she could and that would be to bite her.

"Bite me. It's not that damn hard if you are what you say you are."

She stepped toward her in an almost challenging way. CC didn't like challenges unless she knew that she could win them and here she was, challenging the woman to prove to her that she was a vampire. Prove that they existed and not just in the imagination of others to make millions off of people with the current obsession with vampires which we had 'Twilight' and 'The Vampire Dairies' to thank for that. No one thought of the classics like Bram Stoker's Dracula or 'The Lost Boys' nope it was that dopey teeny-bopper ********.

Laughing as CC thrust her hip and crossed her arms in protest. Kennedy stopped right in front of her with her own arms crossed as she sized up the woman. Honey orbs carefully looking over her body before meeting her eyes once more.

"I mean it, CC. Bite me."

Well, you couldn't say that CC hadn't warned her and hadn't tried to persuade her not to. Plus, DD knew what she was like and knew that a challenge like she was making couldn't go unanswered. A look passed across her face, her expression changing, as it became darker and more violent. She let herself go and released her self control. Her fangs extended as her arms wrapped around DD's waist and pulled her in tight. CC's nails scraped lightly across the other woman's skin and pulled her hair from her neck as her eyes changed and became those like a sharks. She growled, a deep, gutteral, animalisitc noise that was something feral and from the darkness of ages past.

Her mouth opened and then clamped down on the woman's vein, fangs piercing the skin easily to allow the blood to gush forth into her mouth. She drank it down hungrily, unable to stop herself as her arms tightened to hold the woman still. She was easily stronger than DD, even when they were both human. But now, it wasn't an issue to hold her close and stop her from escaping - until almost every drop of blood was gone from the woman's body.

Letting her go, CC stepped away panting, and looked at the shell she'd left and knew by some.... instinct that that, was hers. She said nothing, and didn't even realise what she was doing - as she stepped forwards and ripped open her wrist before pressing it to the woman's mouth. Once something in her told her there was enough within the woman's body, she sealed the deal by holding DD's head in her hands - one hand on either side of it - and then twisting hard and fast until her neck broke.

Getting up, she looked down and stared at what she'd done. Her eyes went back to normal and something seemed to.... drain out of her as she stared at her only friend lying slumped and broken on the floor. What had she DONE!? She stood and stared for a moment or two, panic coursing through her, and then picked up her phone and called the only person she could think of. Pru. However, the woman's phone rang out and she just got the answering machine. Hanging up, she sighed, poured herself another drink, and then sat and stared at the body on the floor. If she'd done it right, then at soe pont, DD would return to 'life'. If she'd done it wrong, then she'd try Pru again and find out how to dump a body in this city.
