Mortll didnt really know anyone here she sat at the bar looking around and noticed Every and a gentleman wave to her. Mortll acknowledged it with a nod and wave of her own. It was not long ago that the exchange wouldnt have happened at all or worse been with bullets. The two women had seemed to be of agreement on a lot of things as of late and her purchase of the Metronome seemed to be a good thing for the club . The place was very popular tonight. Mortll wondered where her former employee was Kennedy had really done a great job in organizing the event . It made Mortll realize how under utilized she was at Jardin De Fleurs She really should have given the woman more freedom and responsivity maybe she would still be working there . She looked around for the woman not spotting her but across the bar she did see someone she knew. Her wayward childe Shay It had been ages since she had seen him or talked to him ... He didnt much care to talk to her much it seemed . Mortll smiled maybe this might be time to remedy that situation . She picked up her drink and headed toward her childe.

Re: Heartbreakers Ball: Anti-Valentines (Open)
An ‘Anti Valentines’ party was a perfect idea. It had been done in the past in different ways, but in the end it was a perfect reflection of this existence in between life and death. Nothing lasts forever not even the ‘immortal’ vampires and their ideas of ‘love’.
A subject of ‘love’ stared her in the face as she looked at the building across the street from where she stood. The Metronome had a big place in the history of vampires. One of the first vampire ran businesses that appeared in this town. Many events had happened within its walls as well as efforts to help their kind to greater goals and better chances to survive. Originally a joint effort by Christiana and Temperance, the place had been reimagined many times during its ‘life’. It looked the same, on the outside, but the vibe was different now. It was a labor of love between the original owners and the ranks of the living and otherwise that had passed through its doors all had some good memories (and bad) of this place.
A flick of her fingers sent the butt of her cigarette into the storm drain as she made up her mind to finally step inside. She had her fill of clients for now. All searching for clues on how to find their ‘true love’ (by means ranging from normal to the insane). It put a bunch of money into her pockets but the overall experience was quite draining after awhile. Perhaps some mindless chill was what she needed for a few moments.
Once inside, she blinked at the condition of the club. All different than it had been before. It was in transition, she reminded herself and was confident the new owners would get their act together soon enough. Hopefully.
She took a stool near the wall that left her close to the exit yet gave her an overall view of the place in general. ’Some habits did not shake easily,’ she thought to herself as she removed her coat and sat down. Several times in the past vampire tempers erupted to the point that being close to an exit was quite handy. She was dressed stylish rather than her normal gypsy look. Purple blouse, black leather vest and mini skirt. Dark hose and knee boots. Her hair and nails were done (A treat for herself. No goals of impressing anyone this night.) and her make up was more subdued than her customary intense style for her customers.
One of the bar staff approached her. She smiled and held up a finger as she got a small note pad and pen from her purse and wrote.
“Can do and yes,” the girl returned the smile while sitting an ash tray on the bar. As she went for the drink, Zodiac lit up, laid some cash on the bar and began to look over the crowd.

Two things
One, a glass of bloodwine. Bobcat if you have it.
Two. Can you still smoke in here?

.
Shay had his back to the bar as he cast his eyes over the occupants of the club, some were already dancing and he found himself grinning, people having a good time, copious amounts of alcohol being consumed... who knows he might even get a 'free' meal tonight!
Even with all the ambient jollity of a rapidly filling house, he still felt a little uneasy, his spotify was doing a great job of keeping him focused and the custom 10m/m small arms in his pocket did it's best to reinforce his confidence, the green pearlescent mica resin scales on the handle perfectly matching his bodies cool temperature. Seemingly the desired effect was being acheived and Shay began to settle....
And then She was there. The Hells Angel of countless recent nightmares, turning back towards the bar he found himself gazing straight into the eyes of his approaching sire... the ensuing panic allowed the mentally generated playlist to become overwhelmed with a myriad of incorporeal voices all vying for attention. Shay's faltering was momentary and a few seconds of desperate effort brought his senses back under control, just in time to find Mortll less than an arms length in front of him, smile on her face and drink in hand. His finger curled lightly around the trigger.
In an attempt to look anything but nonplussed, he leant against the bar, returned her the best smile he could before addressing her with a telepathic message.
~Mortll, I'm not here to step on toes, if this is your chosen hunting ground I'll quite happily bow out.... Or are you coming to rectify a mistake?~
He realised he might actually be 'poking a bear' with this last question... but in order to move freely around this city with his new found talent, he needed to know.

Re: Heartbreakers Ball: Anti-Valentines (Open)
Heartbreakers Ball was written in a large font and slid underneath the door of her tiny studio apartment. Lyra frowned at the invitation, crouched next to it in wonder. She had been bitten, turned, and disregarded by the man who made her. She had barely left her tiny apartment because when she did, she felt the need to eat constantly. Groaning she reached for it, was it worth it to go? Was it worth it to meet anyone in the city? Pushing her forever messy white, blonde hair from her brown eyes she huffed, her lip curling in distaste. Going could lead to answers, right?
Walking to her closet she found a navy floor length dress with off the should straps, “Do able” she mumbled throwing it on the bed, pulling out strappy silver heels, those also being tossed on the bed. Pushing her hair back with a head band she applied light mascara, a clear gloss to her lips, and a matching sapphire and diamond earing/necklace set.
Lyra dressed quickly and grabbed her phone calling a cab. Better late than never she thought, grabbing a small clutch and heading downstairs to the cab. In the cab Lyra ran her fingers through her hair, it was pointless, it was always in her eyes and always in a curly frizzy mess that encompassed her entire face. It was her veil; it hid her from others, and she liked it that way.
The Metronome came into sight, and upon stopping she paid the cabby and got out. She was starving, but she was used to it, so she gave herself a pep talk, “Lyra, it is one night, enjoy it, when is the last time you spoke to someone besides yourself?” she said to herself with a nod.
Stepping inside she heard the music, her brow furrowed slightly, decent she though aloud not noticing her conversation was less than internal. Nodding to a few passersby’s she made her way to the bar. “Martini, bond style if you will” she said with a wink, turning her back to the bartender to look around at the beautiful area.

Re: Heartbreakers Ball: Anti-Valentines (Open)
Taking a look around at all that have come to the party and was still coming through the doors. This event turned out better than she had thought and it was great, it made her smile because it meant that she could do something other than dance. Eve had reaffirmed Ken's statements to the staff while also telling her everything looked great and so far everything was going smoothly. She couldn't be prouder. Making her way around the room after she stepped away from the door, letting the bouncer and the door man do their jobs, it was then that she caught the nod from Eve who was standing with a man.
Her curiosity was peaked and she didn't want to seem rude to only wave at them so she made her way across the room. Smiling and nodding to each patron as she passed them, grabbing a few drinks a long the way to replace the empty ones in patrons hands to help keep them partying. As she reached Eve, she gave the woman a side hug as she looked between them both. "Hello. As her eyes drifted to the man, she smiled. "I hope you are enjoying yourself? He was rather attractive, almost like a young Mario Lopez. Flashing a shining smile at him and looking at his drink before back at him. "I was going to offer you a drink but it seems that Eve has you sorted."
Her eyes happened to look across the bar just as a new patron took a seat at the other end of the bar. It took her by surprise that Mortll had attended but she seemed pleased to see Ken. Waving at her with a nod and a smile to show that she didn't hold hard feelings towards her and it seemed neither did Mortll.
There were several people that she didn't know that had showed up but that was the best thing about parties...you got to meet new people. The blonde was being a bit of a wallflower but nothing wrong with that, maybe she just needed some time to loosen up. Ken would give her some time before she approached and see if there was anything she could do to make her feel more comfortable.
It was when Zo entered and found a place next to the door that made her cant her head. It had been ages since she had spoken to the woman and that had been Ken's fault because of her connection not only to her sire but also to Mordie. She made a mental note to swing by and chatt with her after she was done here but she didn't want to seem rude to a rather nice guy and her boss.
Her eyes remained on the pair that she was with but when a man entered and seemed on edge. There seemed to be a lot of emotion reading in the mans eyes and when he caught sight of Mortll, his demeaner changed. Her eyes drifted noticed a hand hovering around his pocket. Leaning into Eve as she kept her eye on the guy, she calmly spoke not to alarm anyone. "Keep an eye on the guy with Mortll. His body language doesn't give a friendly feel."
More and more patrons arrived and one near the two that Kennedy had her eyes on ordering a martini. It amused her how she ordered it. Classy. She really hoped that if a gun was pulled that she wasn't caught in the crossfire. She seemed really nice.

It was highly obvious she had a gun pointed at her. Only a dumbass that had been in so many situations before would not be able to tell the signs of it. Boy her childe had some learning to do about hiding such things. "Hello Shay No this is not my hunting grounds I am just here to enjoy the party and if you mean mistake being you I do not consider you a mistake and you have done nothing for me to consider sending you on a trip anywhere. I just wanted to say Hello and see how you are faring If you needed anything? It is rare that i see you out and by the way put the gun away i doubt you want to ruin the party and if you put a hole in my new dress I will be highly irked i am quite sure the owners wouldnt be happy either " she looked around in time to see Kennedy wave to her and say a few words to Every. She also spotted a very old friend sitting by the door a smile came to her face this evening was turning out to be a surprise after all. She would have to go and see what the night had in store and get a dance with Miss Zodiac before the night was over with .

Shay would be loathe to admit it but Mortlls words did make him stand a little easier. The fact that She hadn't been hell bent on tracking him down, which he knew She would be more than capable of, had allayed his fears somewhat but to hear her say that She did not consider him a mistake certainly gave him call to relax.
As the lady explained about how peeved She'd be if he put a hole in her dress and ruin the party, he suddenly felt incredibly silly and slipping the safety catch back on he pushed the weapon deeper into his pocket and then removed his hand, of course She'd know he was levelling a weapon at her... he mentally kicked himself. He found himself making a very clumsy apology.
"Sorry... it's just that when we last conversed..." he gave an awkward grin. "..and I sorta.." shaking his head a little. "...well, you know.... and this..." he waved a hand towards his temple. "bloody soundfog you've given me... usually I'd be hiding as far from this lot.. " he waved towards the throng of gathered people. "..as is physically possible, the mausoleum was about the quietest place for me to be and so there I stayed until a friend taught me a nifty little trick!... Oh and that is a very lovely dress so yeah... I'll behave."
Pulling his demeanour up by it's bootstraps he shrugged, rolled his eyes and gave a cough-like laugh, there was more than a touch of mischief in his reply to her question.
"Anything? Well... as usual... the winning lottery ticket wouldn't go amiss...? a small island.. ? But to be fair... I'll take the news that your not going to be hunting me down anytime soon as a gift!" He grinned at Mortll
Turning his back to the bar he leant back supporting himself with his elbows before speaking again, his head nodded towards the crowded floor of the Metronome. "Okay... now we've got that bit of awkwardness out of the way... I see you know some of this collective. Anyone I should know about? You know, like avoid.. or get to know better... useful connections and the like?" at this point he fully considered doing an appraisal on his sire but decided it mightn't be prudent... especially after just 'slipping the noose' so to speak.
He did however change the conversation type to the more covert telepathy at this point. ~I really haven't found my feet in a crowd so far and to be honest I couldn't tell a lunchbag from one of us in here... any help would be greatly appreciated.~

Ally saw the ad, as it flew through the wind and smacked her in the face. As she peeled it off she saw it was a ball.
"A ball? Maybe.. It shouldn't be so noisy." She said, looking at the ad. She never really went anywhere, as she had a noise sensitivity issue. But eh, it cant be so bad.
She walked into the ball, wearing a purple underdress, with a black robe, forming a classic vampire collar at the top. She was able to find a seat that was empty, and sat. "A aviation cocktail please." She orders smiling, she looks around, seeing nobody she knew. Well this will be interesting.
