That said, would him carrying more than one titan bracelet play a role? I was under the impression that multiple relics of the same kind had no compound effect (and they don't, he can carry 600), but I thought I'd mention it just in case since it seems to have been Bjorn-specific.

Relics shouldn't stack, no. It doesn't count the number of titan bracelets a player has in their possession, it merely checks if they have one.
