Sidebar siring alert not showing [b] [h]

Bug type: urgent gameplay problem

Bug details: Once again, sidebar siring alerts are not showing. Only found out through looking at the Alert Log (for something else).

Changing this to an A, with a note that it was marked as urgent but created as a B.

And then it worked again.
Both childer are from the same path, so that's not what sets them apart.

I'm not sure what it is that causes some to show and others not to.

If the alert to say the newbie was sired was created, it was created as not viewed by default. What's most likely happening is it's showing up right in the middle of something else, and getting lost in the confusion. There could be an alert that's overwriting other alerts so they don't show up on the grid, but that could be almost anything in the entire game doing that, so it's very hard to track down unless I stumble upon that by accident. So I'll keep my eye out for it on my travels through the code.

any chance of changing (or adding to) the sire alert to being similar to the one for an attack, so it sends an email *like* (with appropriate wording change) the attack does when you opt in for it to do so?

I think it's a good idea, but something I'll have to add in a little down the road as I'm focusing on bugs at the moment.
