Property dilemma [f]

I truly hope those of us who have spent massive amounts to support this game will not have this happen as well. I would be most displeased. I expect to have all of my karma purchased properties to be in my characters control as I have had them. Inactive or not. Or do you advise we all move these characters to ensure this isn’t a wider issue than with Becca alone and the Ivory Tower?

Questions I have is how did it get overturned on grid to be for sale? A set price even. That’s usually involving liberties most players don’t have? Who has them?

I did take Mal around to every Privately owned (purple) property and have him stand on them to see if the bug was game wide. I'm pleased to report that it was simply a one off and that no one else's property is for sale.

Is this an outside hacker attack?

There was obviously something done to the code to make it as available for sale.. THat jsut doesnt randomly happen.

Is there any indication that this is occurring with all property (purple, public, apartment style) or is it just the purple/private lairs?

David and I are still looking into this - we're narrowing down possibilities as to what could have caused it. Will have more information soon.

Elizabeth Mun asked me to point out, that when this transaction happened, the 300k that was paid by Mal, did not get credited to her character.

So Tracking where that 300k went is a second bug.

Just a reminder that while banned you are also not permitted to have anyone post anything on your behalf, or create new accounts to post with. We do understand this is a very sensitive issue, but it has been stated multiple times that it was already being looked into. In the future, if something like this happens and the player is banned, please reach out to Josh and/or David via PM and refrain from posting on behalf of a banned player.

I can say what I like with my own account, its not new. When it comes to real world money, I am entitled to respond as I did when shady practices are going on. Especially when. My wife is banned for shady reasons to start with.

Just to clarify, the 'shady practices' is a bug which David and I are working to fix right now. I reversed the purchase as soon as I found out about it.

As neither David nor I gain any money from IGC purchases of lairs (apartments, etc), I'm not really sure what the insinuation there is.

In my experience, people who are banned almost always feel the circumstances of their ban were shady. As it's against the rules to speak on behalf of a banned person (and one of the mods has politely posted a reminder to that effect), and the bug is being looked into - I'm not sure really what to tell you here.

David and I will have more information soon. As the bug has been 'fixed' for all pragmatic purposes in regards to you/your wife (I. E. There is nobody benefiting from your RL funds except for her character and people permitted by her character), I hope you'll offer up some patience while we work it out.
