”Oh,” Oscar mouthed, his eyes darting back and forth and all around as if he might be able to see said wraith. But of course he could not. An involuntary shudder ran down his spine at the idea of some other being standing by, watching. How many of them were there and was it possible that no person was ever alone when they thought they had their own privacy?

He cleared his throat and focused on Kira.

”I didn’t know that was a thing. I’ll help as much as I can but it seems like you’ve got this covered,” he said with an encouraging thumbs up. In time—time, that dirty word—Oscar might be capable of the things his sire was. At the moment, however, his list of abilities was inferior and severely lacking for this venture. What help he could offer he had already given

”I’d tell you about the tree by the fence in the south-east wing of the garden. It’s how I got out. But they might have removed it by now. They saw me get out. But teleportation works better, I think. That’s cool. Nifty. I’d like to learn that one one day,” he mused. Was it only a linear power, or could it take him back and forth in time? That would be even cooler.

"A tree? I'm not sure how well Nim would do with that...he's kinda old.." Kira said, she wasn't sure how old the man was but he wasn't no spring chicken even if he did act like a child. "Same could be said if I threw him over the fence, not sure if he would land on his feet. If he was a vampire and not human, wouldn't be so much a problem.."

She wasn't sure if Oscar could catch the man if she threw him, Aden maybe could have but if he ended up with jump as a power, then he could jump the fence. "Ideally, if he gains my jump power, no problems or teleport." she said, as long as he didn't end up someplace weird, not sure if he has used teleport or not.

"It's a shame that our animal forms don't take our clothes with us. I could so sneak in as a cat." Kira mused.

"You could always wear a sheet on the way out. Toga!" Dave said with a grin but Kira gave him a death glare.

Kira crossed her arms, she could use the bigger cat form to help Nim get out by keeping the guards busy. However, she was going to need hands to open the door to his room. She sure didn't want to stalk his room until they opened the door.

"Though going as a cat, would allow me to check out the place more in-depth..." Kira said.

"There's so many powers out there, a lot of them are a lot of fun. You'll get there someday Oscar." she added.

Did does not have to come in and unload the truck or was told that he had to bounce the club and stand there and look scary tonight. Which apparently, was very effective. Is a 7-foot dude glaring at people seem to deter a lot of people from filling violent.

So he was off doing his generally favorite pastime killing Valkyries he wasn't strong enough to beat the crap out of the stuff in the other town that popped out because of the rift quite yet.it was letting him know his level got with some of the other stronger vampires in the city. He was getting there so currently him in the Valkyries had been doing serious battles of late. They probably hated him because he could probably build a mansion with the ashes of their sisters.it didn't help with the ashes of their sisters wants he's spelled out suck my *radio edit* Yeah that really pissed them off. He had to make a trailer on the back of his motorcycle to carry all of the loot.

Tonight was no different than any other night he didn't generally have to work wasn't currently hunting.

" Who's your daddy?"' He said with satisfying smirked as he blew off the head a Valkyrie. This was like the 10th one in a row and he'd only been here about 30 minutes. " How you like me now? What was that you don't. Aww to bad". He said as he began to pick up his loop stuffing it in one of the pockets of his leather jacket.

Takes a moment and closes his eyes begins to concentrate filling out space around him feeling the auras the scent of his prey. " Gotcha". He said as he opened his eyes and begin to dash off and that particular direction. When he got close enough that they both could make eye contact. " I'll be your huckleberry!" He said as he looked in the eyes of the enrage Valkyrie. "Come to daddy!". As she became charging after him. " Feisty I like that in a girl!" He says with a wicked smile on his face. While holding about grease beer in one hand " let's see who meets Valhalla tonight!"

Oscar could only stare.

Animal form? Cat?! That was a thing, too?! One day, maybe. Until then he’d have to satisfy himself with digging around in other people’s brains. That could be fun, too, even if useless in this situation. He blinked away his astonishment and cleared his throat.

”If you know where to find him, you shouldn’t need to know the place in depth, though,” he said. ”I think that would only increase your chance of being caught, if you explored the place,” he said with a shrug. In and out would be the best solution in the telepath’s humble opinion. Some might think that opinion wouldn’t mean much given his infancy as a vampire, but as a human he was over thirty years of age and had experience on his side. None of the vampires he’d met thus far were any older than he was (or if they were, it was only just). Surely that would count for something?

And as crazy as he seemed, he wasn’t all loose nuts and bolts. There was a brain in there, and it worked quite well, logically. He perked up.

”There’s an area for the staff who smoke. They have their own rooms, and kitchen. Out the back of it, around the East Wing, there’s a table and some chairs. We can see them sometimes from the garden,” Oscar said. The institution was built on a bit of a hill, and the patients, when in the garden in their allotted outdoor time, could see down to this sectioned part that was fenced off from the patients but not from the outside world.

”You could go there and wait. Someone will come out for a cigarette. You could make your move, take their coat and their ID. Move quick,” he said. ”There are visiting doctors all the time, students, and the like. If you move quick, it’ll take time for them to realise you’re not supposed to be there…”

And then, he was brighter still, shoulders straight and eyes gleaming.

"If you can tell me what his actual name is, I can try to hack the hospital," he said, pointing to his temple. "...and tell you exactly which room he's in."

"Marcus could help me get to the right room." Kira said, she didn't hear her wraith now. "Marcus? Tessa?" her eyes narrowed. "Well ****. I didn't say they could go yet." she huffed. "No matter, I can send you the images to your mind, that will work just fine."

Kira listened to him, "Sounds like a good idea. Decent way to get in.." she said, it wouldn't take much to knock a human out. Shame there wasn't a sleep power though. If she fed on them, they would be confused but they might be found and she would need to hide them so it wouldn't draw attention.

"Real name? I don't even know if he knows his real name." Kira said, she had wondered about it but he referred to himself as Nimrod so his friends would call him Nim or Nimmy. "Would they list him as a John Doe then? Shouldn't be that many of those.." hopefully just him. "You can hack? That's very useful." the family could use a hacker. Dru was no longer around to do that.

"Not necessarily," Oscar said with a vague shrug. "They have plenty of ways to figure out a man's name, even if he doesn't know it himself. Or is unwilling to give it. If he's in the system for anything, DNA or fingerprints will find him," Oscar said. Still, if he wasn't in the system then a 'John Doe' or similar might raise some flags. At the question, he gave another shrug.

"I do what I can but it's like chicken and egg with the scripts. I could make them, but I need scripts to make scripts. Which I don't have," he murmured. He'd already closed his eyes, holding up a hand with a finger raised in the universal language of shh, give me a second.

It had been a glory to discover that he didn't have to use a computer or a phone to connect to the internet, and thus to systems of businesses or neighbouring wifi systems. It was something Oscar thoroughly enjoyed, riding the waves of electronic breezeways knocking on doors made of 0s and 1s and picking the locks if they would not open for him. It took some time, and there was a chance he would not be successful depending on the strength of the asylum's security. His eyes were closed, eyes moving back and forth beneath them -- watching something that no on else could see.

Lady Baron had been searching many spots for Aden.

"Must we keep looking? Surely Kira could use our help inside the building." Tessa said in a bored fashion though Marcus was the only in control.

"Kira is being stupid. I would feel better if we had some more backup. Damn this whole having no body." Marcus replied, he really missed having a body, well so did Tess but they had 'lived' like this for a long time, chilling in the shadow realm until they got called out by Kira.

Not at the lounge working. Not messing with the homeless.

"Where else does this man like to hang out at?" Marcus muttered.

"Girls or killing things.." Tess replied.

"Hmm, wait, Kira said something about seeing him at Ironwood Grove. She was completely about too many paladins being there." Marcus said.

"I don't remember. If it isn't gossip, clothes, hair or makeup, I didn't listen." Tess replied.

Marcus rolled his eyes, they were on the sidewalk beside the mall and someone who was nearby was looking around for the voices they were hearing but couldn't see them. He quickly headed off to the grove.

Aden doing his current normal hobby hoping that soon you'll be strong enough to move on to the riff that opened up and that other town or the new one. He wasn't positive at this point but he was pretty sure that he was stronger than a lot of the vampires that have been around longer than him. He knew there was a power that he could actually check to know but he hadn't got that one yet in powers seem to be the thing that took forever to get. He had grown a lot stronger faster and several other attributes had changed over time with his height. He learned the longer you are a vampire the more often likelihood that you had more powers which made sense.

But he was after a specific person he was going kill the little pathetic weasel was if he got strong enough to take out the person that he's hiding under their skirt like a *****. A pussy is always going to be a pussy.

But he was currently in a nice little back and forth with one of the Valkyries talking smack like he normally does. The fight ended with him shooting her in the head and her finally going down. "And another one bites the dust, another one down another one down, another one bites the dust!" Then he does a complete spin on one leg and then does the Capt. Morgan.

Okay took me awhile to do this. Trying to think of his past was a bit of a pain but about time he had a past.
The tale of Theodore 'Teddy' Mason the 3rd

Nimrod couldn’t remember his real name, nor could he remember his parents. Other than the fact that they didn’t want him and had him committed.

“I can’t believe we’re finally going to have a baby Ted.”

“We’ve waited a long time, Margaret.”

His parents had been happy with the news, they tried for so long to have a child and to carry on the family name. The would be named Theodore ‘Teddy’ Mason the 3rd. Teddy came too early and due to complications during the pregnancy and delivery, lived in the hospital for six weeks before his parents could take him home. He seemed like any normal baby, but he was slow to develop. He started everything late, crawling, walking, and talking. He always seemed in his own little world, like his parents weren’t there sometimes.

They kept taking him to doctors. What was ‘wrong’ with their child? They tried all kinds of vitamins and supplements until he was four.

“Teddy, what are you staring at?” his mother asked.

“You no see? Lobster, a chipmunk, a fluffy squirrel. Having a tea party.” Teddy said before looking at his mom. “Can we join them?”

His mother wasn’t amused by this story, she worried even more about him.

As the boy got older, the more extreme what he saw and heard became. He would even start walking the house at night playing with things that weren’t there. So they started to lock him in his room at night, he would then scream saying something was in his room and he didn’t want to be there.

“I can’t take this anymore..” Margaret said. So Ted hired a nanny to keep up with Teddy. Just in time as Margaret found out they were expecting another child.

“I pray that this one is normal.” Margaret said. When their next son was born, they wouldn’t let Teddy near him.

“Why can’t I see Charles, mom?” Teddy asked, he just wanted to see his new baby brother.

“The less people who see him the better. He is sickly.” his mother told him, it was a lie but the boy believed her.
Five months later, there was a huge storm. When the adults woke, they couldn’t find either child. The searched the grounds and found Teddy under a tree, holding onto the baby. They were both near death from the elements. They were rushed to the hospital.

Margaret was beside herself and once Teddy woke up, “What were you doing with Charles? Why were you outside?”

“The house wasn’t safe. Something was after Charles...so I tried to protect him.” Teddy said, he knew no would believe him that the baby had to get out of the house. He ran most of the night trying to keep his brother safe.

Margaret’s face clouded over, she became very pale then she just exploded. “The only reason Charles isn’t safe is because of you! We’ll be lucky he makes it through. As for you! I want you gone! You’re not stepping a foot inside the house.” she turned to the doctor. “I want him committed. He is no longer my child.” she stormed out of the room.

Teddy was confused, “Mom!” he cried out but he was attached to too many lines to get out of bed.

The next day they discharged Teddy and they took him to the asylum, where later would be part of the QZ.

“Goodbye Teddy.” his father said, his mother wouldn’t even speak to him.

“What is this place? Where are you going? When are you coming back?” Teddy called out, the workers were holding him back as he tried to go after him. “Mom! Dad!”

“Shut up! Your parents aren’t coming back.” one of the workers said, hitting him on the back of the head.

From that point on, Teddy was experimented on and the cocktail of drugs he was on damaged whatever part of the brain that had made him see and hear things. He still wasn’t normal and stuck as a small child even though he was in his early 50s by time he was able to get out of that place when the zombies took over.
