Siring Turned off.. still siring [f]

Fenn's siring was purposely turned OFF.. as seen above, because I only had one slot left and I promise it to someone.

Except OVernight.. He sired again. Against my / his wishes.

the top setting also needs to be set to 'no strangers', I think?

I have my ones I don't want siring set to that as well as off... and set to specific types, too.

That’s correct, Alex.

Top has to be set to ‘No Strangers’ so you don’t appear in the list of sites to select from.

The one about the link needs to be to ‘Off’ so your referral link doesn’t automatically sire a new signup that uses it to your character.

Please Look at the GAME NOTE... Which says the LINK IS OFF.

So the game is telling me it is OFF.. But it isn't really.. ?

It's not a bug, sadly. I recall this same thing happened to Isabella Drake a few years back. The link must be turned off and the other setting needs to be set to No Strangers.

Just want to be clear - The GAME is CLEARLY stating.. THe Link is OFF.

But it isnt... really off - the Game is lying..

And People are supposed to know this how?

The game is saying the link is off yes.

What that means is, if you give the link (URL) to some one and they click it, they will not sire under your character. However, having the other part set to random means that some one who finds the game and is searching for a sire will be able to sire under your character.

This has come up before at least three times or more cus of the wording. The instructions are pretty very unclear, I agree. But that's how it works so it is not a bug...
BUT.

The description IS misleading and should be changed. I'll keep this thread active until one of the dev dudes sees it and can either update the description or tell me I'm wrong and to archive it.

I went ahead and gave you an extra siring slot - just be sure to change your settings to 'No Strangers', as that's the very best way to ensure you don't end up with anyone you don't want.

A ton of people get confused by this, so I'll update the wording now.

But yeah, the link question is about the sire link and only the sire link, not the random childer on character creation thing. You can likewise have your random childer set to "no strangers", but have your sire link "on" in order to pass your link purely to your friends. Both need to be set to off / no strangers in order to reject ALL new childer.
