Let's go with his phone and leaned down to catch it with his right hand. Just as the shoe comes over his shoulder and he reaches out with his left hand and catches the shoe turns around with a soft smirk. He had heard the voice but wasn't really paying any attention to her until the shoe. he looked at her expression and the people that around her then with a soft smile.

" It's a nice shoe but I don't think it's my size. My girlfriend would be very confused if I came home with another woman shoe. but I bet both of them would make my butt look good if I could fit in them." He says with a bit of a sarcastic voice towards the end as he held out the shoe towards her.

Valdimar had no time for fuckwits. Whatever it was that the larger man muttered to Valdimar was ignored completely, despite how the fury boiled beneath the surface. The fury could be seen in the way Valdimar clenched and unclenched his fists, the way the muscles jumped in his jaw. It took all his willpower not to throw a punch, but he knew better than that.

If there was a problem to be solved, it was Valdimar’s to solve, no one else’s. The idiot hadn’t fixed anything, he’d only made things worse. What was more, Valdimar wasn’t looking to be anyone’s hero, he was only trying to do the right thing—and clean up his own mess. Which he’d been doing perfectly fine with. The only idiot here was the biker. He made it seem as if that was his intention, but that only made it worse. That only made him a bigger idiot.

But Valdimar didn’t have to say any of this. He could be the bigger man; he could get on the … bus? And leave the idiot behind.

Said bus had come driving around the corner and it was like something out of… he didn’t even know what. It was clear that this Dawn was someone, someone Valdimar should perhaps have recognised. And though there was a twinge of familiarity to her, he hadn’t yet had the time nor the inclination to put his finger on it. Dawn’s friend helped Valerie onto the bus, the woman as awed as Valdimar was. He, too, followed them – behind him, someone else had joined the scene, and was proceeding to throw a show at the idiot on the street.

Valdimar scoffed. It would have been better had the shoe hit the oaf right in the middle of the forehead. He had his qualms leaving the crazy girl out there alone with him, but…

The bus was far more appealing.

”Thank you,” he said to Dawn, rolling his eyes in silent agreement on what he assumed were their shared thoughts on the guy they’d left out on the sidewalk.

Dawn smirked at the roll of his eyes and nodded in agreement. After that though, Dawn's attention was turned to Valerie and Dylan, of course he was being his charming self, seeing to her and making sure she was comfortable as Jackson, the bus driver glanced back at Dawn, he seemed to have the same reservation that Validmar had about leaving the scene. He glanced out the windows, that from the outside were opaque, inside the windows were nearly clear and gave a view of the scene currently. "Dawn?"

"Give me a moment, I know her." She then glanced back at the girl, and spoke to her, "I know you're in pain, but I have a bad feeling about my friend, would you mind if I go get her?" Dawn glanced towards Narla who was close to the bus but then looked back to the injured girl, awaiting her answer. Once she got it, she nodded and ran to the front of the bus, leaning out without stepping off the bus and calling to Narla.

"Narla? Good seeing you! I know you are off the clock, but could I trouble you for some help in here?" Dawn leaned against the door, her eyes on her employee, hoping, praying that she would accept the invitation and join them on the bus. Jackson leaned towards Dawn, hoping as well, Dylan on the other hand kept Valerie's attention to keep her mind off the pain that she was in no doubt in.

Ruth is dumbfounded by the audacity of some man to walk up to her amidst her heated scolding of a persistent creep, but she welcomes the distraction and composes herself, one hand gripping her hip which jutted sassily against it. “Toda,” she answers without a drop of amusement, shooing away the specter with her other hand in a distracted ‘We’re done here’ sort of way. “Yesh lach ta’am mezurgag lanaalayim…” The waif smirks at Aden, “V’hem lo naaley akev..,” she sucks her teeth with a similar bend of her lips, just more light-hearted, “..tipesh..” She snatched the ripped, old shoe out of his had as he offered it, ready to say more but Dawn’s voice called her instead.
“…”
There is a pause, a little time for a few breaths and the melting of her confident posture into something a little less present. Narla blinks a couple times and scrunches her brows when she connects the dots to there being a shoe in her hand she looked ready to smack the man in front of her with. Her eyes became saucers. She is completely taken aback and quickly shuffles the shoe back onto her bare foot. “Y..yes, ma’am..” she replies softly to her boss, ducking her head as she scurries her way around the stranger standing in front of her. Narla felt her stomach flip over and over, her hands trembling horribly. She nearly swiped at some random man with her own shoe and she couldn’t recall why. Her cheeks grew hot and she ached to stick her head into a pillow, suffocate, and disappear completely but there were no pillows here. She hurries for the bus, nearly tripping on her way up all of the steps. If she managed to get there in one piece, Narla would find an empty seat and wait for her boss’ instruction, staring intensely at her dirty shoes.

(Translation: “Thank you..” “You have rotten taste for shoes” “and they aren’t heels..” “..stupid..”)

Smiles as he shrugged it off as everyone seemed to want to get on the party bus heading to the hospital. Seems like a lame party bus to him. He had done what he had planned to do now the crowd would not remember what they were originally arguing about. What the crowd would talk about was the big man that bumped and assaulted that girl. The first part would be completely wiped off most of the crowd's minds as most people have the attention in this world of a goldfish.

How Aden felt about it he really did not care. If the idiot that caused the problem in his opinion. Did not like him, he didn't really care. If he decides to make it a problem and he'll deal with that if it comes to it. he wasn't here to be like he was here to go and check out the new hotel. The man was on a mission. He got a bit sidetracked.

With that being said and done with. He decided he would go and check out the new hotel check-in and see how the hotel held up. That was why he was originally here after all. See if all the hype about the new hotel was any better than any other of the hotels that claimed they were the tourist attraction in this town full of weirdness.

Walks into the hotel walk's over to the counter. Then one of his many fake IDs that checkout. He decided he would be Tom Smith at this hotel. He loved having a black card it ran pulled the money out and never had his name on it. Gotta love that lovely account from Sweden. the lovely nice reception lives in his room and his key lets them know what floor he was on and heads upstairs. Who's going to try one of the standard rooms tonight he figured he will try the deluxe or maybe the penthouse another night. It's always best to feel out the hotel if you got a standard room and see how they do.

Valerie, of course, did not object to Dawn pulling another girl up off the street. The injured woman was feeling protective of her fellow women, and didn’t enjoy the thought of a young girl being left behind with that creep in the leather jacket. The bus was still unfamiliar and strange to her, but she felt a far sight more comfortable there than on the back of a motorcycle. Again, she shuddered.

Valdimar himself didn’t take a seat until Dawn’s friend was safe and sound on the bus. The poor waif looked terribly confused and, frankly, terrified. What kind of a boss was Dawn, that she should suddenly be shaking like a leaf? The white-haired woman didn’t seem to be overbearing or cruel, unless she was one of those people with split personalities. But then, how would she be together enough to be a successful businesswoman? At least, he figured her to be some kind of boss, the way she told the girl she was ‘off the clock’.

Narla, she’d called her. Narla, who turned into a completely different person once she’d been addressed by Dawn. Maybe it was she who suffered a personality disorder, and Dawn was the generous one, giving a job to the mentally disabled. Valdimar settled in a seat opposite to her, offering a smile should she look up and catch his eye.

”Narla. I am Valdimar,” he said, offering a hand. There was no fuss from outside the bus; they could be on their way

As a boss, Dawn strived to be kind and fair. Though, she wasn't always there in the shops. She had four places to split her time, so she was used to the meeker side of Narla, the quiet, very soft spoken girl that took a seat on the bus. This was Dawn's first sight of the more confident Narla. She now hoped to bring that side out of her more often. Dawn's eyes then shifted to Valerie, and with Narla now safe on the bus, Jackson was at ease and closing the door. The bus started to roll but aside from the sound of the breaks releasing with a soft release of air, there was no other harsh motions. The bus did rock slightly, much like a cradle rocking children to sleep.

Dawn watched over Valerie a moment more before she too took a seat and looked to Valdimir, "I'm Dawn."

Jackson called out "Hey Dawny, which hospital?"

"Groom Memorial Jackson." Dawn then looked back over to Valerie, "It's a little further away, but it's a better quality hospital. I know you'll be taken care of there." she then relaxed into the chair and looked to Narla, "Narla, I'm sorry to pull you from whatever you had planned today, that big idiot that handed you your shoe harmed her," she glanced to Valerie and continued, "I just, in good conscious, couldn't leave you even close to that guy." Dawn kept her voice low, soft, as she leaned near Narla. "As soon as we get to the hospital you can go on about your day, sound good?"

Narla chews the inside of her cheek, mulling over how she could play this one off. She almost hit him, so the stranger must have made her angry in some way. Why else would she nearly hit a random man with a shoe? But.. what if they knew each other before that happened? What did she say to him? Narla twists her hands together, pinching her fingers, and the meat between pointer and thumb. The ignorance wasn’t even the worst part… It was the reactions and comments from everyone else.. aloud or mumbled afterward. She had no way to reassure herself of something she did or didn’t do, nor could she find a personal justification of her actions. What people said when they think she wasn’t paying attention echoed in her head for the longest of times. Narla did her best not to think about every word and whisper, but they always find a way to bubble up in the back of her head like a gradually boiling pot of gravy.

When Valdimar ‘s hand peeks into her peripheral view as she stares at her shoes, Narla expects him to gently explain he could help and knew a good psychiatrist… or worse.. that he -is- a psychiatrist. She does not look him in the eyes, but she offers her own young and boney hand nonetheless. They are on her boss’ bus. She doesn’t assume he’ll snatch her up and eat her, as much as she prefers that fate. “Hi.. Nice to meet you,” she answers back with a hesitation that snuck in.

When Dawn addresses her, Narla lifts her head to give her attention. Off the clock or not, Dawn is her boss. To her relief, there was some information she can glean from just a few of her words. Narla was not about to hit a stranger, the man just handed her own shoe to her… but then why was she missing a shoe? Narla put the block on her own mental question and swapped to something more in the now. ‘Someone was harmed?’ is her next thought. ‘But who?’ The waif finally breaks from the narrowed perception of her surroundings to examine the people in the bus. First Dawn, then Valdimar, then the other woman she knew nothing about. The other two look fine, but this one looks... noticeably uncomfortable… She leans closer to Dawn to answer her, “Yes, ma’am..” Then straightens a little, asking no one person specifically. “What happened..?"

The only way that Valdimar could hear the girl—Narla, as she was introduced—was because he was a vampire. Without the enhanced preternatural hearing he might have been tempted to tell her to speak up. The hand that he shook was warm, though boney, and for the short time that he held it he could feel the pulse beneath her skin. Alive. She was human, much like Valerie. Hunger caught at the back of Valdimar’s throat but he swallowed it down. He’d satisfy it later. And he’d have to rethink the way in which he went about it.

As Valdimar sat back, he wondered if there was something wrong with Narla. Was she special needs? Did Dawn employ her out of sympathy, or some kind of government incentive? Valdimar wasn’t sure that he’d employ someone who could not speak properly, unless they were in some position where they did not have to deal with the general public.

Valerie nodded and didn’t join the conversation. She was too distracted trying to stay comfortable as the bus was subject to the usual bumps of a car (or bus) ride. Valdimar half expected her to interject when Narla asked what had happened but then realised from the distance, she’d probably not heard the question. Valdimar glanced up at Dawn, then back to Narla.

”That oaf knocked her over, off the curb. She landed on her tailbone, and judging by her pain the prognosis isn’t good,” he said. He didn’t explain why the idiot thought it would be a good idea to knock her from the curb, or the good deed he thought he was doing in the process. As far as Valdimar was concerned, he’d be happy never to see the guy again.

Dawn glanced at Valdimar for a moment, then her gaze returned to Narla. "What he says in true..." Dawn then dropped her voice and leaned in so that it was just Valdimar and Narla that heard her speak. "The sad thing is, that brainless, borish, Neanderthal of a male actually thought that by harming the poor woman, he was helping him." She directed her gaze to Valdimar for a moment and then her gaze shifted towards the front of the bus. She was clearly trying to judge just how close they were to the hospital. "Jackson?" She called out.

"About there, maybe another four or five minutes, I'd guess." He responded, Dawn leaned back in her seat and could see out the front windshield that they were closing in. She knew this route better than she cared to admit. Way back in the day when she had fed on the wrong vampire and that vampire's family had come for her, leaving her severely beaten and left for dead on the streets. And that hadn't been the first time, they had done it at least one other time, though, she could not remember if that had been provoked or not. Now Dawn chose to feed from her willing friend. He offered freely.

Dawn looked to Valdimar for a moment but then turned her gaze to Valerie, checking on the woman before she relaxed into her seat again. She could tell that Jackson was trying his best to take bumps and turns as gently as possible. The shocks on the bus could take a lot though, that said, it could still sway a bit if the bumps were too big. She sighed softly and then looked back to Narla, "Narla, the only thing I ask of you now is that if you come across that dirtbag again, please stay far from him. If his ogarish ego is anything to go by, he would harm you just because he could and then say that you were the one at fault."

Dawn had known a few men like him in her life, and she had learned the best way to deal with them was just to avoid them like the plague. As she was talking, she felt the bus lurch slightly to one side. Then there was the kind of tilt that came from a circular turn. Dawn's Crystal eyes turned to Valerie, she could see Dylan gently bracing her so that she didn't move much. Like Dawn, Dylan could easily walk about the bus as if it weren't moving. Much the way a sailor could get used to walking on a ship in rough seas, they could move around this bus no matter how fast Jackson drove or how rough the road.

The bus came to a stop and Jackson turned around. "We're here guys, shall I go in to get help?"

"Yeah, I'll get her out of the bus, just tell them to bring a stretcher."

Dawn was silent at this time, but she watched Valdimar with interest, wondering what he would do now that they were at the hospital. He had offered to take care of her medical bills, but would he want to be seen? She knew other kindred disliked any type of notoriety or fame or even infamy. Time would tell.
