Suffering is permanent, obscure and dark,
and shares the nature of infinity.

William Woodsworth

I ceased to be if only for a moment. I have no recollection of this moment, per say. No perception of its length in time, or even if it exists in time. There was a shift in the darkness’ fabric. It roused me from whichever state of near non-existence I have been suspended in. I do not know when exactly this happened, but I know it did.

I do not know where the world exists exactly as I cannot see it as it is, but I sense something about it has changed. It must have, for something here has changed. This realm, after all, is neither above or below or around the world, it exists within the world, weaved into the fabric of reality. It is how we exist on the other side, how they see us and feel us. It is how we manifest, like notes on a plucked chord, nothing more but reverberations of this darkness that moulds us.

I don’t remember what it is to exist.
All I remember is that it became unbearable.

I don’t remember what unbearable feels like as I haven’t felt anything for… well, I’m not sure how long it’s been. I exist, that much I know. The world, in some way or another, continues to exist. Whether I will return to it, whether I can return to it, remains to be seen.
