I dig Aden's potential reaction. I know Jack would feel a bit similar if he encountered someone like that.

But I think that enhances the story right? Kind of like Azareth pointed out, it adds a new (or maybe old) dimension to relations between vampires and humans. And even between different sects of vampires. I hadn't thought this aspect of it through intially, but it would make for some interesting stories for sure.

Could it be the tipping point for the mass hunting of vampires? I mean maybe if the kid was caught and put on display for the world to see like a zoo animal. But if that happened, it could be a catalyst to unite vamps. Just speculation.

I think there could be tons of different results and fallout. Just be sure to mark any posts related either to being against or for peace accordingly, as that's really the only way (other than during chapters) that the relationship slider moves*.

*Also random events, but that movement is much smaller comparatively.

Personally, I think a cool plot line would be again this is just me and I would want to be involved in this one.

you do like a solo thread or journal with you building up the relationship with the npc( and I think the best of it was in npc) then after you've done that so that it would be cool to read it before the role-play. And it would develop more in your head which would be coolish as crap.

Then you start a thread where eventually the kid wanted to go out and do something. Basketball, tennis, baseball... Then someone like my character happens to be there for whatever reason. And seem to notice that something was off about the kid and you. Maybe even after the game or whatever he noticed that the person you both took a blood pack.

So let's say that he starts trying to hunt you to down it starts slowly but surely because he not quite sure. In the midst of the character or characters trying to hunt you down. Then another character or other characters then see it as a mean vampire trying to kill a vampire that's protecting a child or at least that's what it looks like. So they start trying to stop the person that is attacking you. I think it would be cooler if it was a paladin, sorcerer or human path. Vampire works too. Maybe they got too caught up in what was going on to notice that the child was a vampire for a while because of what it looks like. Then at some point later on in the role-play it dawns on them or their told and to see what unfolds from there.

I like the idea of the Npc dying at the end and not returning but that's just a personal preference. I think the back and forth even people disagreeing with each other or sire or whatever. While they're hunting down kid Npc would be a lot of fun to do. Me personally, I would deftly get down for role-play like that because it would be a lot of fun it would cause a lot of reactions between characters. I may make new mortal enemies or friends role-play like that.

[4] No killing somebody over and over without provocation
  • Grief killing (killing somebody multiple times for no new real reason) is frowned upon. You can kill anyone you like in game, for any reason you want (characters are allowed to be douches), but doing it multiple times without a new reason each additional time is against the rules. This means that you cannot kill a character 3 times in a row because they attacked you once. Each kill requires a new provocation for it to be legal.

Decent reasons for killing a character would include retaliation for being attacked, in defense of an ally, in response to a serious roleplay insult, bounties, etc. You may kill a character for any other reason (or no reason at all), but doing it more than once in a row without provocation is considered bad form, and only serves to drive people out of the game.

The one exception to this rule is in the case of faction VS faction warfare. Where peace isn't made, the enemy doesn't have to wait to be hit before hitting back.
As per the above rule, it's actually not allowed in game to kill someone over and over again for the same reason.

If this does go ahead and it's not an NPC plot, I'd hope that there'd be a lot of OOC communication in regards to the IC plot, and that if there are any OOC grievances that they are immediately brought up and mediated.

If Jack is happy to play an IC character that is constantly going to be attacked and has no issues with it OOC, then I think the plot could be awesome for all involved. :)

I have had a child vampire childe before on another vampire site. Course the creative freedom was more out there then here. We simply did some magic that allowed the child to grow up normally. Now if the childe was an allurist they could age. And I remember Snow, she was a cool char.

If Aden wants to kill a child vampire over and over again, Kira will tell him he'll have to kill her as well no matter if it was her or Oscar who sired the childe.

There is the accelerated aging curse, that could be used if Jack-player ever WANTED to have the child grow up. Could happen down the track somewhere.
Your physical appearance ages at roughly 4 times the speed of normal humans. It will stop when you look like an old man or woman (between 65-85), and is not typically reversible. (Not inheritable for bloodlines)
Over the course of two years the child could age 8 years and then there could be a plot to remove the curse? Depending on how old they wanted to end up -- if that's a plot anyone would be interested in. Could be a way to persuade whoever to stop attacking -- get them to stop long enough to hear reason and reassurance that the child is growing, and just give them time.

Or if he started as an Allurist he could physically age as he mentally ages since Allurists can alter there appearances to how they feel they look. But if he starts as a mystic unless he gets the bodyless he'd end up in another body.

I think I'm definitely going with mystic now. I had a potential storyline come to me regarding how that path is doomed to body steal if they die (unless they have bodyless). And if the boy is destined to be hunted and killed, best make the most of it.

It sounds like there are options though, like accelerated aging, if I ever did choose to allow him to grow up. It's possible that I may, but it all depends on how the story progresses.

Oh and I have decided to go forward with making this character. The NPC I could have created would have been shortlived, Jack just isn't the type of guy to keep kid around, he needs to get his own house in order, so to speak. And I'm hoping to write something broader.

Anyway, I have no sire preference. Your characters are all rad. I would really like to RP the siring though. So if you still might be interested shot me a PM and we can riff out some details.

I appreciate all the ideas
