Re: Relic Discussion (Split from Boost thread)
I would like to see a relic where there is a chance to prevent master blood thieves from 'zapping' powers from characters. I understand it is a mastery power, but nothing should be always be successful in this game.
Why are you taking me through troubled waters, I asked? Because your enemies cannot swim, he replied.

Re: Relic Discussion (Split from Boost thread)
There's several other mastery powers that don't fail, though, so that would be unfair. Bullet Dodge for Killers and Guided Hand for Paladins are the two I know of, so far. In addition, several base path powers are uncounterable.
ETA: If we're going to add a relic for that though, I'd like to see one that blocks being revealed by Exogenous Sight.

Is that true? I mean bullet dodge being unable to be hit completely is not true. It's just from one type of attack I believe.Amalea wrote:There's several other mastery powers that don't fail, though, so that would be unfair. I am unfamiliar with the guided hand.
How would that work? You'd have to be in the building you want things prevented from being seen, I reckon.ETA: If we're going to add a relic for that though, I'd like to see one that blocks being revealed by Exogenous Sight.

Re: Relic Discussion (Split from Boost thread)
Bullet Dodge is 100% chance to dodge 2 firearm attacks.
Guided Hand is an 100% chance to hit attack that can be a crit.
(ETA) Sunfire never misses either
Exogenous Sight trumps Alter Ego. The relic I'm suggesting would ensure the character wearing it wouldn't show up when Exogenous Sight is used.

Right, so you can still get attacked by Melee, correct?Amalea wrote:Bullet Dodge is 100% chance to dodge 2 firearm attacks.
Yet, I think there are relics to prevent from being critted, or more likely to not being critted...or no, a power actually in the vampire world.Guided Hand is an 100% chance to hit attack that can be a crit.
I;d be fine with that.Exogenous Sight trumps Alter Ego. The relic I'm suggesting would ensure the character wearing it wouldn't show up when Exogenous Sight is used.
However, a blood thief of normal status when draining blood for powers can be considered an attack. Yet, I do not believe AI settings see it as such. so that's me frowning on that. Also, WP can prevent someone from being successful on a reg blood thief.
But one that is mastered, should have some difficulties imo. Either via relic, or via wp of the one trying to be tapped of their powers. It's pretty unfair imo to be 100 percent successful.

Also: Everyone complains sunfire is o.p. since day one. we all know it to be true. using sunfire as something EVERYONE had complained about, is kinda...unfair.
Also: Vathia Clarity can tell who is in a building. Alter ego or untraceable. jsuk

Sunfire is the Mystic mastery. I think you mean Lightning Bolt which is the Sorcerer mastery being the one that's been considered OP and has since been tweeked.
Guided Hand will still hit 100% of the time even if it doesn't crit, though.
I still don't agree with the idea of a relic blocking it. But that's me.
