Not true. If a player stays in vacay mode then they'll stay at 0 blood and gain no PXP (and most items will be unavailable to them). They need all of those things if they are going to be fighting as a result of RP, or even roleplaying themselves using powers.Ripper wrote:my .02 because of necro'd thread:
The way I see it is if a player here wants to stay in vacation mode permanently and only ever RP/interact through using the forums than they already can do this with the current system in place presently; and blood, pxp, items, stats, etc wouldn't even factor in as a problem ever so long as they didn't ever log in.

Guess I'm the rare exception too. Enver had some of his best times in the first two or so years. And he died a lot. LolAlexandrea wrote:I actually miss how it used to be. A LOT. >.> lol. It was why I joined Blood. I thought it was going to be like PoV was back at almost the start of Beta, as far as PvP and with Crow & the bounty stuffs at least. The conflict between5C and Ty was a blast. I miss that. I know a LOT of people did and will disagree with me but it was a lot more fun back then. I also was hoping the chapters would replay over again, so we could see what the different outcomes would have been like.

I've seen other rp sites deal with crafting before rather well without an actual gameplay, while remaining pretty fair. Usually it requires a certain minimum word count for the crafting post, amount of existing posts, and the character having gathered the appropriate items needed.Mooncalf wrote:Well if they avoided the grid entirely, they wouldn't be able to craft, do rituals, or attack people whenever they want. Lairs would still have use to the vast majority of players, who actually enjoy the grid.Atabei Narcisse wrote: To add: What about crafters and the rick of parts breaking? Ritual ingreds being lost? Weapon parts breaking or decreasing in accuracy? The point of faction forts of any homes for that matter-homes that cost karma? I see that being a difficult hardship on path finances, but hopefully you'll come up with something to offset it for larger karma prices.
A similar idea could be used for things like feeding.
And since we already have roleplay actions, we could adapt them, or another version of them, for in game effects.
Problem with using that for Path is that it'd be so hard to both monitor and give characters their items or blood without the experience of using that kind of system already, so I guess ya'll might not want to do it.
