This sort of thing really bugs me for some reason.

idk why would anyone do that? Maybe to hold on to them like a temp. lock-box? O.o seems fishy, I gotta say. But it's not breaking any rules that I know of. At least not yet, lol. Without knowing the reasoning behind the player it is easy to think they are trying to abuse a loophole but they might also be new and testing things out or it could be a mistake or... idk, lol. Trying to look for a 'good' reason for it but I'm failing! :))

Oh yes, like a free lockbox. Classic game rort. Til now I had thought this really wasn't the place to see this stuff.

Yeah..... :(

Until proven otherwise tho? I'm gonna try to believe that they're a new player just playing around to see how things work or something. 8-X

Has happened a number of times before, with larger number of items. Hadn't seen it for a while so let it be.

150% deliberate.

Yeah it's not a newbie, and I guessed who it would be before I looked haha. Using the auction to store things is something I'll have to find a way to disallow.

I do kinda hope that they are not able to use a hacked webphone to do so while inside the labyrinth, tomb, or even a battle raid. Removing the auction link from webphones in those areas should be a good start. The rest should still be fine.

I don't think this needs to be implemented as a system thing. I think guidelines for use should be enough. That and occasionally the people running the joint will take 10% of the buyout cost as a nonrefundable fee, at the time of lodging the auction.

Or have the items be forfeited for misuse and flag the cheat code.

They do it once, and lose the items.. doubt they do it again.

This. Be heavy handed in punishment until the behaviour stops. Dissuade them from doing this by making the risk of losing the items greater than the benefit of storing them, however temporarily, on auction. It's far less prohibitive punishing the few people who exploit the game than taking away viable (and lawful) options from other players.
