Amalea
Amalea had been rather disappointed that she had had a costume in mind for Alexandrea's party last night and ended up not being able to go. Food poisoning was never a fun time and moreso when it forced one to miss their planned events. So, tonight, she was throwing her own party for those who didn't end up trick or treating or attending some other soiree. At the very least, it'd be a chance to hang out and celebrate the holiday. She had chosen her costume with Alex's party in mind, but she was happy to wear it tonight. (( https://imgur.com/KpDbc6D ))
Ariadne
had decided to toss together another outfit for the second night of Halloween festivities. A little known fact was that Ari actually greatly enjoyed Halloween and had celebrated it religiously every year since she was but a wee human babe. She;d been tickled to head of Amalea's party and had hurried home to change into her black swawn outfit before making her way back to Tomkin. (( http://www.darkbeautymag.com/wp-content ... irytas.jpg ))
Mordechai
Mordechai stepped from transit, he had gotten a tip on the location of the human that attacked Ms Ariadne, but he had missed... Alow growl slipped from his throat as he crossed the avenue headed for the chapel. when he saw lights and movement in the Auberouge Center. Turning he moved closer, before finally alipping inside. It seemed almost deserted, but he sensed movement, stepping into the open with his hand on the hilt of his fairbairne, he recognized Amalea "Hey"
Amalea
The red-head was thrilled to see Ari and Mord come through the door. She wasn't actually sure anyone would come tonight and planned to extend the festivities till the following evening to catch everyone. Halloween could be a lot of fun with the right crowd. "Evening Ari, love the outfit. A swan?" She smiled at Mord, "Evening to you as well."
Ariadne
Blank Swan. Trying something different from last night, though that was fun too.
Amalea
"I missed last evening," she pouted. "What were you?"
Mordechai
A movement to the side caught Mordechai's attention, his piercing gaze focused to pick out the moving black from the shadows behind it. A stillness slid across the giant's frame as he recognized the body with n the flowered costume. His heterochromatic eyes followed the silken, graceful pace as Ariadne moved across the floor. Moving closer, he removed his steton and bowed low, "Greetings, Madame Ariadne, you look exquisite"
Ariadne
pulled out her phone and showed Lea a picture of her Oogie Boogie dress (( https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t/s64 ... 5408_n.jpg ))
Ariadne
Hey Mord
Amalea
peered at the picture, "Ooo, a female Oogie Boogie! I bet you had fun with that!"
Mordechai
Realizing that this was yet another party dedicaded to all hallows eve, his finger reached up nimbly unraveling the battle braids from his long mane of hair. Combing his bangs forward to cover his face, the killer slipped on a pair of Oakly's. "Cousin It"
Ariadne
I did, actually. Doc was dressed as The Spanish Inquisition and was rolling the dice at one point... I may have called him Santa.
Ariadne
chuckled at Mord. "Well done. I think you're a little tall for it, but it works."
Amalea
"A rather tall Cousin it, but it works well on you," she laughed softly. Her eyes widened at Ari's description of Doc's costume, "That...must have been highly amusing given I know Liz was going as Lady Godiva! Santa, huh? I'll remember that one for later."
Ariadne
I'm afraid I have to run though. I was only able to stop by for a moment. I have... some other engagements. Given the choice though, I'd absolutely stay here.
Amalea
"Of course," Amalea nodded. "I'm glad you could stop by. I believe I'll be doing this again tomorrow eve as I suspect most people have plans tonight."
Mordechai
felt a chill run through him as he lowered his eyes, "You were certainly a welcome sight. May your night be blessed with peace" The killer doubt it though, there was always a human around with a napolean comples.
Mordechai
[complex]
Amalea
"How are you this eve?" She inquired as she headed to the bar. "Drink?"
Mordechai
His eyes traced the path of the swan as she retreated from the building, but then he turned to his host, not wishing to appear rude. Other than a unfortunate miss, I fair well this eve." Nodding he followed , I have acquired a taste for some of Ariadne's... more esoteric vintages. Do you serve them?"
Amalea
"Tis good to hear," the red-head smiled. "Well, other than that miss." She shook her head quietly as she moved around the bar to rummage for the glasses she knew she'd need. "I'd be a fool not to," she laughed softly, "Ari sells some of the best one can find. What's your choice this eve?"
Mordechai
"I believe she had... was it essence of a ginger?"
Amalea
Amalea was already pulling a bottle of the crimson liquid from the shelf as she replied, "She did indeed, among others. I'm rather annoyed she was forced to shut down that portion of her business due to nosy assholes." Her red tresses shook lightly as she poured a full glass and corked the bottle. After pouring herself a glass of red wine, she carried both glasses back to her guest, handing him his glass. Taking a sip of her own, she sighed lightly, "I hope she reopens it at some point. I was able to by some stock from Crimson before it closed, but it won't last forever."
Mannequin
walks in dresses as a banana
Mannequin
gives a goofy wave before going in search of the bar....they must have run out of pumpkin suits at the fancy dress shop
Mordechai
"Perhaps you could occasionally provide essence", the killer winked as one fang gleamed in the light. "Quinn, such a pleasant surprise, no knee pads?"
Mannequin
"Under the tights Bro..."
Amalea
"Evening Quinn," Amalea laughed softly. "Rather yellow this evening." She was already moving towards the bar, "What's your poison tonight?"
Mannequin
lifts the banana bottom to reveal ripped yellow tights...the outline of knee pads can be seen clearly
Amalea
Smiling at Mord, she winked back, "I'm sure something could be arranged."
Mannequin
"Anything that doesn't taste like hobo"
Mannequin
giggled
Mannequin
"yeah....fresh out of pumpkin suits in the store....spooky banana it is!"
Mannequin
"woooooooow!....Spooky..."
Mannequin
"I've got a good one!......is it dead in here or is it just me?...."
Mannequin
gives jazz hands
Amalea
Her nose wrinkled as she feigned being offended, "I wouldn't dare serve anything that horrific!" With a laugh, she placed another glass on the counter and filled it with some of Arbor's shark blood. Sliding it across the bar to Quin, she grinned, "I think you'll enjoy that." She paused as the woman asked her question, "It's not you. It's the holiday. I hazzard some went out to trick or treat or other parties."
Mannequin
sniffs the drink
Mannequin
"Mmmmm! Nice nose to it....so sick of meth addicts, but they don't fight to hard so meh..."
Mannequin
"Trick or treating was a blast, but you only need so many spleens...."
Mannequin
gave Amalea a wink and grinned
Mannequin
"Other parties though....hmmmmm....we could go wreak them up a bit?....does Brother Death fancy raining down some devils night terror on the masses?.."
Mannequin
she grinned at Mordechai trying not to gulp down her drink like the fiend she was
Amalea
Amalea laughed, "I don't think I need more than the spleen I already have. Now chocolate... that's a different story." She shook her head in quiet amusement, "I'm not so worried. I expected a low turnout tonight so planned a repeat for tomorrow night." Silently, she slid the remainder of the bottle to the woman as she snagged the open bottle of ginger to take to Mord.
Mannequin
gave Amalea a grateful look, as always she was feening for blood
Mannequin
"Good plan, so much trouble to be had with humans running around dressed like vampires.....I wonder if any of those Pallys hit a human by mistake..."
Amalea
snorted, "I'd love to see that. They're the only people in this city who have ever attacked me."
Mannequin
"Yeah, zealots....watched one to Buffy episodes"
Mannequin
phone started playing the Addams Family theme, she dug around inside her suit cursing
Amalea
"I don't even recall Buffy attacking humans," she shook her head.
Mannequin
"Might be mixing it up with Blade....it's all a little fuzzy after '92...."
Mannequin
finally find her phone and reads the text
Mannequin
"Oh for £$"£$*^ sake....Sorry peeps, gotta run....stoopid dog got into my 'art supplies' again....I'm going to need a fresh batch of spleens..."
Amalea
"Blade was great," she laughed. "Have a good night."
Mannequin
gave Amalea a quick hug and a wave to Mordechai before becoming a yellow blur...the bottle was gone as the spooky banana blurred off into into the night
Mordechai
shook his head has noelle's other adoptee slipped out the door, "Thank you 'Lea"
Amalea
"Welcome," she smiled as she slid into one of the chairs scattered about the floor.
Mordechai
Mordechai took his glass, moving to a chair close to her, "You have not taken blood from me in months"
Amalea
Her lips quirked into a small smile, "Blood, no. Powers, yes. A simple touch is all that is needed ever since I took an odd shard to Aeyrn."
Mordechai
His eyes studied her for a moment, "Do you miss it? The surge of power flowing through you, the taste of invincibility trickling across your lips as your fangs sink deep, feral weapons...." A glow lit his eyes as he spoke
Amalea
Silence reigned as she considered his question carefully, "It's hard to miss the surge of power since it is present in both methods, though in different ways. Neither is better than the other, really; just different. I do admit, I do sometimes miss actually biting someone. I can see why you guys enjoy it.. well, feeding from humans that is - not being bitten. I might be one of the few around that don't mind being nibbled on on occasion."
Mordechai
Mordechai studied her, considering her words, then held up his hand between them. His index finger slowly elongated morphing as a talon grew out of the end, pointing it at her, he slowly curled it as he undid the top button of his shirt with the outher hand. He had the power to compell her, easily, but he spoke in his own low voice, the sound of gravel rolling in a creek bed. As the tip of the talon slid sloly into his jugular releasing slow moving drops, he spoke, "Come"
Amalea
The red-head sipped her drink as she watched the male's finger morph into a talon. That he could do so wasn't surprising; there were several powers she knew of that were likely candidates. The surprise was the unbuttoning of his shirt which earned him a quizzical look. Her silent question was answered by the single word coupled with his actions . Setting her glass on the nearby table, she slid off her seat to close the distance between them. The scent of blood was stronger there, calling like a siren to the woman as she settled on the arm of the chair. Slowly, on the chance she misread his actions, she lowered her head to lightly lap up the drops of blood.
Mordechai
One hand reached round, pulling his silken locks to the side, as hih other settled into her lap, holding her hip, pinning her in place. The thumb traced lazy circles on her thigh as he spoke again, his low voice rumbling over her in waves, "Bite"
Amalea
The hand on her hip was unexpected; she couldn't be sure if he was afraid she would fall from her perch or would try to run off. Either way she wasn't about to complain. His movement across her thigh was something she was hard pressed to interpret not that she got the opportunity. Another single word found her own set of fangs elongating before sinking into the exposed flesh; her hand going to the back of the chair so she could shift that slight bit closer. As she fed, a soft sigh escaped.
Mordechai
Mordechai's eyes closed as he felt the thieve's fangs slip through the muscles of his neck to finally pierce his vein. The warmth of her body increased as she shifted closer, bring heat to him. The sigh as his blood flowed across her silken lips, a crimson river of life and power, slid over him like an electrical charge, and a smile split his lips. When she had fed long enough, a muscled hand wrapped her chin, velvet coated steel, lifting her gently away. His thumb lazily swept across the silken expanse of her cupids bow, lifting the last drops before holding it to the tp of her tongue "Happy halloween"
Amalea
If she hadn't been aware that she was approaching her limit, the hand on her chin would have certainly would have been a good indication. She had enough presence of mind to snag the stray droplets from his skin as she was guided away from the area. The sweep of his thumb against her lip was again unexpected, though she was beginning to learn to expect the unexpected with the group she hung out with. Gently, she licked the last few drops from the offered digit. Purring quietly, she shifted in her perch slightly, "Happy Halloween to you as well. And thank you."
Tiamat
walked into the building and looked atound. She saw two people seemingly making out. She pushed her sunglasses up along her nose and cleared her throat. "Well then, it appears I've interrupted a private party. If you'll ecuse me." She turned quickly on her heels and headed back towards the door.
Amalea
The red-head had heard the door open; she just found it rude to fail to acknowledge a gift with a thank you. The clearing of the woman's throat caught her attention again and she turned toward it as Tia spoke. Instead of rolling her eyes, she shrugged lightly, "If it was private, I wouldn't have posted a general invite to the entirety of Dragomir as well as others."
Tiamat
She paused and raised an eyebrow at the other woman. "So you routinely make out with others in such a public setting? Interesting."
Amalea
She laughed softly, "I do not. Not everything is as it first appears, either."
Mordechai
?me looked over the new comer, recognizing her from other gatherings, though her appearances were seldom, "A little blood between friends, a trick, and a treat"
Tiamat
her expression remained in place as she watched the two. "Indeed."
Amalea
"Believe or not, it is the truth."
Tiamat
"I have no reason to believe one way or the other."
Amalea
She shrugged as she slid off the arm of the chair so she could retrieve her glass of wine, "Whatever floats your boat, I guess. People are entitled to their own opinions."
Tiamat
"I shall withold opinions. Interesting place here."
Amalea
"Thank you. It's essentially an event center. Typically it's set up as a conference center, though I intend to host a variety of events here. The restaurant is an extension of another business I own; sort of a test environment."
Tiamat
"Sounds like you're going to be very busy."
Amalea
"I certainly hope so. The upper floor is offices. A few occupied and others for rent."
Tiamat
"I see." As she went to continue speaking, her phone rang. "Joseph, what is it? " A sigh escaped her lips before she spoke into the phone angrily in a strange language. (ancient mesopotamian) "Damnit Joseph, why must you make things complicated!"
Amalea
smiled at the other woman before the ringing phone cut her off. An eyebrow was raised at the half of the conversation she was party to, though she had no idea what half of it even was, if she was honest.
Tiamat
glanced back at the other as she disconnected the call and dropped her phone. "I apologize for that. My assistant is...a handful sometimes."
Amalea
"It
Amalea
"It's quite alright," she laughed softly. "I have that issue myself some days with mine."
Tiamat
"he seems to have issues with feeding my children, and I do not understand why."
Amalea
"Just remind him that at least they're not birds so he doesn't have to deal with live worms. Might help. Though...if he's expected to allow each to feed from him...depending on the number you have, I could see the issue."
Tiamat
"Snakes. He has feed rats to snakes."
Amalea
"Oh well... in that case... he needs to man up. It could be worse. He could be feeding a bunch of blood thirsty vampires."
Tiamat
"He seems to think that feeding vampires is in fact easier than feeding my cobra."
Amalea
blinked, "Well, I agree, but I also happen to really hate snakes. With a passion."
Tiamat
"Snakes aren't so much of a problem. They're fairly quiet animals."
Amalea
"Still creep me out."
Tiamat
"Worry about people. That's the worst/"
Amalea
"Aye, some are snakes in their own right."
Tiamat
"Mmm more like untamed beasts, or a virus."
Amalea
"In some cases," she agreed.
Tiamat
"In my experience, it's been a rare case they've not been."
Amalea
"Thankfully, I haven't had many experiences like that. Particularly lately." A soft beep from her watch drew her attention as she frowned. "Unfortunately, I need to go. I have a matter that needs my attention. I'm glad you were able to come tonight. I'm hoping for a repeat tomorrow eve."
Tiamat
indeed, i may wear a costume if i decide to come back
Amalea
"Please do," she smiled. "If enough come in costume, I may do some prize drawings."
Tiamat
"interesting." She bowed her head slightly and stepped from the doorway.
Amalea
"Good evening." She slipped out the door, cursing the ill-timing under her breath as she went.

All Hallow's Eve at Aubrerouge
Amalea
Amalea hadn't expected a huge crowd the previous night. In reality, she hadn't assumed anyone would show up and thus had been pleasantly surprised by the turnout even if it had been rather few in number. Given that, she had chosen to reuse the same costume; no sense in letting it go to waste. (( https://imgur.com/KpDbc6D ))
Alexandrea
She had been sure there was going to be a big bash at the haunted corn maze but once again, she had gotten her hopes up for nothing. All dressed up with no place to go, getting and invite from her old pal Red cheered up the blonde enormously and ready to get a groove on, Alexandrea Quartermaine made her way to Tomkin and found the address she had been given. ((image to come, sorries))
Nikolae
appeared right in the middle of the place, in his Captain Kirk costume just a little worst for the wear. There was blood and a hole in the arm, he couldn't really remember getting.
Alexandrea
<------- ((dressed in https://i.imgur.com/HTPFBM7.jpg )))
Azraeth
also appeared, though his costume had been cleaned of the green splatters which had previously stained the otherwise blue Federation uniform. And he immediately caught sight of a Princess Leia who looked remarkably similar to a certain Rocky Horror character he'd seen very recently.
Alexandrea
"Captain! Were you attacked???"
Azraeth
"He probably started it."
Alexandrea
~nods and chuckles~
Amalea
Amalea blinked at the appearance of Alex in an outfit the red-head herself had considered. "Evening, Alex... or is it Leia tonight?" She winked at the woman. Nikolae and Azraeth appearing out of thin air was nothing new as it seemed to be their normal MO for party entrances. "Evening Captain, Spock."
Nikolae
"The guy asked the time. Like I don't know what that means," he scoffed and adjusted the sleeve of his uniform top with a firm jerky motion. Then he nodded to the group with a rogueish grin. "Hello hello."
Alexandrea
Lol "Alex is just fine, I;m no actress and couldn't stay in character to save my life" ;)
Alexandrea
~blinks at Nikolae~ He just asked the time? What DOES that mean... to you?
Azraeth
"Oh thank god. I make a terrible Spock."
Azraeth
grinned broadly and moved to pull Amalea into a hug. It had been days since he'd seen the woman. "I'm pretty sure he just wanted to know what time it was." He said to his sire.
Alexandrea
No way, you were great the other night! Had me convinced you were a real Vulcan halfbreed. ;)
Azraeth
"It's the ears. Takes time applying them, you know."
Alexandrea
ahhhh ~nods knowingly~
Nikolae
"It means.... something about clocks. I'm sure he wanted to rob me," he scoffed and looked around for a place to sprawl in his usual heap of good looking mess.
Amalea
She laughed lightly, "Good thing there's no Jabba the Hutt around tonight...yet." Silently, she had wondered the same question Alex had asked of Niko; she just wasn't going to ask. She knew better. Grinning, she snugged into the Spock-Az, "Well, the ears look good on you."
Alexandrea
Oh well actually.... that DOES happen. Back in Toronto I.... um... had a friend *coughs* that used that scam to waylay victims.
Azraeth
glanced after Nikolae from where he had an arm curled around Lea's middle, if only to make sure his sire didn't actually accidentally start a fight with someone. "This reminds me though...did you ever recover your candy, siremine?"
Alexandrea
they look at thier watch. you slip your fingers into their pocket... ;)
Amalea
"Time request to robbery..." she shook her head. She gestured to the wide array of couches and fluffy chairs that had been brought in for the night, "Make yourselves at home. Can I get anyone a drink?"
Alexandrea
oh hey I got some candy... ~pulls it out of the metal bra~ tons of extra room in this top, you know....
Nikolae
"I threatened to burn down a mortal's house if they didn't give me all their candy. I got a lot of candy as a result." He paused and dropped into a picked out seat. "And a microwave. And a laptop. And all their forks. You never know when you'll need a good fork."
Alexandrea
oh my God thought you would never ask, I am dying for a drink whatca have?
Ariadne
Hopefully cappuccinos...
Alexandrea
oh... do those have any booze in them? ~she asked hopefully~
Azraeth
sighed faintly though audibly. Though his smile didn't falter in the slightest. That was Nikolae for you. "I couldn't bother you for a drink, the company is more than enough. And I believe I spy another beauty joining us."
Alexandrea
And I love the outfit, Red. But... I'm unfamiliar with the costume?
Nikolae
"Layin' it on a little thick there, Raeth. Cough cough. Cough." He was terrible at the thing.
Ariadne
slid in, her outfit hidden by her long black cloak. The past two nights she'd had to leave the Halloween parties within an hour of joining, but tonight... tonight she had a chance to stay.
Alexandrea
Liz! *waves merrily to Elizabeth* It's safe here, no fires! Promise! :)
Amalea
Amalea gave Az a look that clearly said that she wasn't about to let Nikolae near her apartment. She liked it in one piece... with everything in its place. She turned to Alex, "Whatever you like. I had a restaurant built in so I can use it as a test environment for my catering business. And yes, there's booze as well." She waved at Elizabeth as she answered Alex's question, "Soothsayer... Doctor Who thing." She also waved to Ari, "Evening, ladies."
Ariadne
A fire would be lovely though! Perhaps some nice mulled cider. I find that I am beginning to enjoy the concept of fall.
Elizabeth
She had no idea that there would be another costumed party, but when she heard of it, Elizabeth could not turn down the personal invitation from Amalea. Still, there was the conudrum about the costume as she did not wish to wear the same costume twice. So, Elizabeth went to the same store that she and Amalea had gone to before, and scavanged through the remaining costumes and was left with very few choices. In the end, only because it was something she would wear, Elizabeth picked the costume solely for its dress. (Link: https://i.p i n i m g.com/236x/9d/35/42/9d35 ... dormer.jpg )
Azraeth
"Maybe I'm just in a good mood. Those do happen occasionally" He said to his sire, though at the mention of Doctor Who, he totally took another look at Lea's outfit. He would have guessed something to do with the Sisterhood of Karn.
Alexandrea
Oh I love Doctor Who. :) Haven't seen all of them but that's okay, gives me something to look forward to. And I'm fine with some mulled cider too, if you have it. Lovely idea, Ariadne. And you look great again tonight but I loved the costume you wore Monday!
Elizabeth
inched over by Alex and nodded her head in agreement. "It was a very festive costume she wore."
Nikolae
had the sense that nerd-things were happening around him, and he tensed, swinging his golden gaze around warily. "It's a nice place, Amalea," he chimed in.
Ariadne
... Thank you. I had no idea a simple black cloak could be an effective costume. Perhaps I shall leave it on and nary reveal the actual outfit underneath.
Alexandrea
And Elizabeth... you look so pretty, love that hairstyle on you! Are you the princess from Frozen? I don't know her name, I didn't see that yet either, lol.
Ariadne
I did have a wonderful time with Oogie though...
Alexandrea
You look bewitching in it but now you have teased that there is more, Ariadne? Please do show us?
Elizabeth
blinked and lifted her shoulders into a shrug. "I do not know. The choices were selective this evening." She admitted openly.
Amalea
Once she had gotten a good look at Elizabeth's costume, she shook her head in amusement. "Nice costume, Liz. Though, I hope you don't intend on creating an ice skating rink in here this eve?" Az, had he voiced his thoughts, would have found he was indeed correct in his thought that it was part of the Sisterhood. "So mulled cider, that I had and would be delighted to get. Something different for anyone?"
Azraeth
was shamelessly reusing a costume. "Well now I'm curious about what's under the black cloak." He admitted to Ari before fully releasing Lea, so the woman could tend to the drinks. This left him drawing closer to Niko so he could flop down beside the man gracelessly.
Elizabeth
"The colour was nice." Elizabeth offered with a smile to both Alexandrea and Amalea.
Ariadne
took her cloak off and draped it over the back of a chair before striking a 'power pose' in her Silk Spectre outfit, complete with straps and stockings ((https://i2.wp.com/www.geeksaresexy.net/ ... C815&ssl=1 ))
Ariadne
(( https://i2.wp.com/www.geeksaresexy.net/ ... C815&ssl=1 ))
Ariadne
Better ))
Alexandrea
Wow!
Alexandrea
very sexy!
Azraeth
"Oooh, Watchmen. Alan Moore brought to life."
Ariadne
Thank you. The former owner of this form had several such outfits, I assume from a former hobby. They make acceptable costumes.
Alexandrea
*Alex starts search for 'Watchmen" on the web in her head, embarrassed to admit she had no idea of what yet another costume was...*
Elizabeth
had no idea who Alan Moore was, or Watchmen were, so she just smiled. Yellow was a lovely colour after all and one of her favourites.
Amalea
She smiled at Az as he stepped away; she'd grab the drinks in a second but she wanted to see Ari's costume first. She was quite surprised by the revealed outfit, particularly in contrast to her one from the previous night. "Damn, Ari. Looks great on you." Curiosity satisfied, she headed towards the back to collect some glasses of cider.
Azraeth
was just really nerdy.
Nikolae
had zoned out thinking about candy, and patted his first borne affectionately. "There isn't enough wheat in the world."
Ariadne
Thank you all for the compliments. I do hate to recycle outfits...
Azraeth
slowly turned so he could face his sire, eyes on the man, head tipping to one side. "What?"
Nikolae
"Exactly."
Azraeth
"What are you thinking about, exactly?"
Alexandrea
You sure you really want him to answer that?
Azraeth
"That. That is a fair point."
Nikolae
"Humans like cheap food. Mcdonalds is cheap. There is wheat in the buns. Not enough humans in this town lately. Need more wheat." He reasoned with a shrug.
Alexandrea
That's perfectly logical. O.o
Amalea
In the kitchen, the red-head bustled to gather several glasses of mulled cider onto a tray. Adding an assortment of candy and cookies, she snagged the open bottle of rum, just in case someone preferred theirs spiked. Returning to her guests, she set the candy, cookies and rum onto one of the tables before handing out each of the glasses. "Rum's on the table if anyone would like theirs spiked."
Alexandrea
Dibs!
Doc
Doc was late.. but he was there.. (http://imageshack.com/a/img924/5269/niOVsq.jpg ) and in costume. It was he mugged a priest for his collar. He waved in the sign of the cross to Amalea.
Nikolae
"Well of course it is. I heard it from the source."
Ariadne
cupped a warm mug of cider in her hands and took her latex clad self off to a corner where she sat, sniffing the wonderful scent of mulling spices and tart cider before allowing herself a small sip of something that wasn't blood.
Amalea
Amalea's eyes widened slightly as she bit her lip to keep from laughing as she caught sight of Doc. She waved in reply as she made her way over, still trying not to giggle. "Good evening...Father," she broke down snickering as she handed him a mug of the mulled cider she had brought out.
Doc
"My Child.. " He smirked right back at her, while taking the mug. "Smells.. like an old woman's closet.."
Elizabeth
glanced over to the door as Doc entered and eyed his costume.
Amalea
She smiled, batting her eyelashes ever so slightly before shaking her head, "I don't want to even know how you know what an old woman's closet smells like..." She meant it too, even if there was sure to be a story there. "Would you prefer something else?"
Alexandrea
~tips some Rum into her mug and offers it to Doc~ This will put hair on your chest, Padre.
Doc
'No.. no..this is fine.. " He nodded solemnly, "Better than the gruel we were served in missionary school.." Turn in to Alexandrea, eyeing it. Then moving his mug over toward her, "Merely to be sociable of course.. would be horribly churlish of me to refuse.. "
Elizabeth
Rum was not something Elizabeth really liked, so she just moved to the bar area in search of something...red. Or white. Or pink. Wine. Essentially wine.
Amalea
"I can make many dishes that I'm sure would be better than such gruel," she smiled, "perhaps some night, you'll allow me to do so." She spotted Liz looking for something, "Excuse me for a moment." Hurrying over to the woman, she found herself giggled. "What's your pleasure this evening, Liz?"
Mordechai
Mordechai sat looking at the costume, before finall shrugging and slipping it on... It seemed most of his friends liked this odd tradition, , to fit in he would have to join in. However. He was using his own sword, not the plastic **** they hat supplied. Finally done, he ducked down and entered the Auberouge center, following Amalea's directions [[ https://i.p i n i m g.com/736x/e4/72/78/e472 ... stumes.jpg ]]
Doc
Doc lifted the mug to his lips, but paused as Amalea offered to cook for him, He lowered the mug about to reply when she quickly whirled off. Agian he raised the mug to sip when the entrance of Mordechai stopped. "Holy ****.. " He looked at the 8 foot tall pirate. "That is a pirate you do not want to mess with children.."
Elizabeth
"Wine. House is fine." She smiled to Lea appreciatively, then saw Mordechai and blinked.
Mordechai
stood quietly, almost awkardly, at odds with his usual grace as his eyes scanned tonights attendees
Alaric von der
The message was unexpected. It wasn't so much an invite as it was just a point of reference, and Alaric was curious. He was told to wear something that was not his usual attire and, on such short notice, all he could think of was to wear a suit that he might have worn two centuries ago. Modern suits were not the same, however, and the result probably wasn't exactly what he would have worn as a human, but it was close enough. He took the train as instructed, and turned as instructed; the noise coming from the place was conducive to a 'party' and Alaric steeled himself before stepping inside. His gaze swept the room, looking for the one who had sent him the message.

Amalea
"Of course..." She paused, her attention caught by the giant Jack Sparrow that had just entered the center. "Holy hell...that's a giant of a pirate," she laughed as she finally grabbed a trio of glasses, pouring red wine in two, before sliding one to Liz. The last she filled with ginger, which she took to the pirate, "Evening, Captain," she grinned as she offered him the glass.
Elizabeth
Elizabeth gave Mordechai a small wave, then laughed a little at his costume, or the fact that he was a pirate that was perhaps half the length of a boat. Imagine a scene such as that! Her laugh was short lived as her eyes fell upon Alaric, her blue eyes locking on him, as Elizabeth waved to him as well. "Thank you, Amalea." With the wine in her hand, she moved to Alaric and offered him a genuine smile. "You came. And found a costume." The woman in blue glanced at the others in the room. "Do you know many here?" She asked politely.
Mordechai
nodded acknowledgements to Charles and Lix before accepting the glass from 'Lea, "Ty Amalea, is it sweet ginger essence in trade for last eve's offering? The killer raised one eyebrow as a smile graced his countenance
Alaric von der
Alaric was like a bird whose feathers were ruffled in alarm or defense but, as soon as he found Elizabeth, who came over to greet him, the feathers settled. He nodded his greeting then looked around the room, properly. He slowly shook his head until his gaze fell about the woman in the corner. Her costume was... alarming. But he knew her. "Ariadne..." he mumbled, before turning back to Elizabeth. "Only yourself and the lady in the corner, it would seem."
Doc
Doc sipped the rummed cider. "Mmm.. tasty!" He lied. Just because he could consume it, didn't he could actually taste it. However, his lie was sounded genuine. Looking at Alexandrea., "Your costume.. is.. " he stopped. "What is your costume?"
Amalea
The red-head smiled slyly, "Perhaps. It's not poisoned, I promise." In reality, he was correct, but she wasn't about to state that in an arena of vampires. Hearing Doc question Alex's costume, she turned slightly to frown at him. If he never seen Star Wars, she was going to be making him sit through them soon.
Elizabeth
nods. "Well, then you should meet others. Alexandrea is quite nice." Elizabeth pointed the woman out to him.
Alexandrea
*chuckling at Doc's question she filled his cup and her own to the brim with more Rum, and waved to Mordechai with the bottle* "I'm your Mama" Alex mock whispered to Doc with a wink. ((Hit or miss for me from here on out, the hubby is home and needs feeding. lol ;) I will do my best to keep up though!! <3 :-* ))
Ariadne
finished off her cider and sighed. "It seemed to have gotten quiet in her alarmingly quickly. Do I need to get the dice out again?"
Ariadne
*seems
Alaric von der
Alaric nodded, his fingers trailing down the hem of his jacket. He hadn't contradicted Elizabeth when she said he'd found a costume; it wasn't really a costume to him, unless he was coming to this party as his old self. "If you will introduce me..."
Elizabeth
"Of course." Elizabeth said before taking a sip of her wine and moving towards where Doc, Amalea and Alexandrea were at. She smiled at the three of them, then glanced to Alaric. "Alexandrea, Amalea and Doc, this is Alaric. Alaric, this is Alexandrea, or Alex for short..." She pointed to the woman. "Amalea, and then Doc." Each of them were pointed to accordingly.
Doc
Doc lifted an eyebrow at Alex Comment, "Well alright then.. Mother. My dry cleaning needs to be picked up. And I need a maid, can you sort that out for me? Great! thanks." He nodded as if she had agreed. "You have my details." When Lizzie approached, Doc went silent, sipped his rum cider again, and nodded polite to the Lizzie and the man."
Amalea
An eyebrow raised at Alex's reply to the question asked of her; she shook her head slightly in amusement. She looked at Ari, head tilted slightly, "Again... oh Monday." she pouted lightly. Her attention was captured by Liz's introduction to the mysterious man she had seen around, "Good evening."
Mordechai
The sound of a familiar voice caught his attention, and Mordechai turned, searching for the source. Against the far wall was Ariadne, in form- fitting black and yellow. A treat for the eyes. Tipping his glass in Alex's direction he returned the greeting silently as she was introduced to the man he had seen at the last party. He had seemed quite proccupied that night, but tonight it seemed he was open to more conversation
Alaric von der
Alaric nodded to each in turn, committing their names to memory. Silence had greeted them upon arrival and he wondered if a conversation had been interrupted. "It is a pleasure to meet you," he said, German accent thick. "Costume parties. They are... a popular thing?" he asked, glancing between them and Elizabeth.
Doc
"Too ******* popular.. if you ask me.."
Elizabeth
lips twitched in amusement at Doc's answer. "For the date recently, I assume. It was Halloween last night and so people wear them to celebrate the night. This however, is only my second costume party in years." She admitted before sipping on more of her wine.
Amalea
She lightly kicked Doc in the ankle, looking innocent as she did so. "Around this time of year, yes," she glared at Doc. "I missed the one the other night and thought another night of festivities would be nice."
Doc
gave Lizzie a knowing leer, and was about to reply when Amalea kicked. He refrained from answering. Apparently he had been inappropriate again. So He subsided into silence.
Alaric von der
arched a brow. He'd never been one to swear in public, and never in front of women. It was another note he would make, in regards to modernity -- though none of his family were so crude. But everyone was different. "Ah, Allerheiligen, yes," he said to Amalea, referencing the date. "It is... interesting.
Elizabeth
"It was a shame you missed that night. I am almost positive I won the costume bet." Elizabeth glanced at Doc when she said that, her face filled with confidence at such a claim. "But am glad you decided to host an event yourself."
Ariadne
just smiled to herself. Time would tell about that contest...
Alexandrea
Alex took Doc seriously, and sent a message to her thrall Kitty requesting that she find a maid for hire, just as soon as she had picked up the dry cleaning of Dr. Nelson. The Allurist was upfront in the message, warning the human that Alexandrea had no clue which dry cleaners it would be. 'Just get it done and delivered to the address on file', was the upshot. With a twinkle in her eye, Alexandrea gave Doc a nod. "Consider it done" she said with a firm nod and a grin. To Alaric, Elizabeth's.. friend? No... more than friend. He was the same blood. She held out a slender hand ... "Pleased to meet you" the blonde said kindly, and tried to get a feel for what sort of vampire he was.
Mordechai
moved farther into the room curious as to the dice game Ari had referenced. Nodding to Doc the ghost of a smile slid over his face, "Charles, isnt that a bit ... sacrilegious?" A nod indicated the alabaster dog collar he war
Doc
"The **** she did." He looked pointedly at Amalea, "She was naked. No costume at all. She wore a wig."
Amalea
She shook her head lightly, "I know better than to get involved in that bet." Laughing softly, she smiled, "After all that time we spent costume shopping, I really didn't fancy just consigning it to the back of the closet without wearing it at all." She smirked at Doc, "A wig and a covering, yes. I was with her when she got it. I thought it was quite fetching on her."
Elizabeth
"It was who she was. I portrayed her as she should be." She replied with a raise of her shoulders, then looked at Amalea with a pleased smile. "And chocolates. A lovely suggestion, might I say. Again." Elizabeth commended her partner in crime.
Doc
Doc's attention was turned back to Alex, and he gave her a slow wide smile, "Mom.. You're the best!" He pulled her into a hug. He was careful to not block her hand from Alaric, and then released her, to study Mordi seriously. "The Church has fucked over man for centuries.. To the point that the Pope at times, dictated what rulers of the whole countries could do. And you think *I* am being sacraligious?"
Mordechai
The killer lightly shook his head, "I just never saw you as a pretender to the throne..." A wink to the little redhead assured her that he was not looking for a battle with his friend.
Alaric von der
Alaric was taken aback. After taking Alexandrea's hand and greeting her in turn, he'd listened to the conversation, a little lost. He came out of it assuming that, somewhere, somehow, Elizabeth had been naked. In public? He was more than a little shocked. Even imagining it made him feel... uncomfortable. He decided to remain silent, tugging again at his jacket; watching as the big, scruffy man wandered over to where Ariadne sat. Quiet. If she had seen Alaric, she had made no indication. But his attention had wavered.
Amalea
"Oh, you did go with the chocolates, then? They must have gone over well," she smiled softly as she listed to the two men discuss whom was being sacrilegious. Though, she had to privately admit that Doc had a good point. Catching the wink, she smiled at the pirate, quite sure that the two could debate without it coming to blows.
Alexandrea
*Alex laughed with delight at Doc's hug. She couldn't wait to have her 'cousin' and her 'son' together at the family dinner table this Thanksgiving. It was going to be EPIC. Stories would echo for generations, she was sure of it..
Elizabeth
simply bit her tongue and thoughts on rulers and religion, seeing too much of those fiasco's first hand. So, she opted to keep drinking her wine and remaining silent. Until, another thought struck her. "You have another friend here? Perhaps you can introduce me to them?" She asked Alaric.
Doc
"Oh ho.. A pretender to the throne is it? So you suggesting that man..can not rule himself, and they need a cleric to do that for them? Or.. are you suggesting that Man can run himself, and therefore,.. we as a community are safe in man's government?"
Ariadne
nodded to Alaric. She hadn't wanted to interrupt Elisabeth's introductions of the man, especially since the crowd he was being introduced to was not entirely friendly towards her. She winked at the man as he sat down. "I have no idea what the blonde is talking about. I won the contact, hands down. Far less... indigent."
Alaric von der
The option to break away from the group and instead have an opportunity to approach the aloof lady in the corner was snatched up without hesitation. He assumed they must be strangers, that Ariadne must no no one present, to be sitting alone. He nodded and led Elizabeth over to where Ariadne was perched. "Hallo, Ariadne," he murmured with a smile. "I would like to introduce you to Elizabeth. Elizabeth, this is Ariadne," he said. He did glance at the man with Ariadne; he could make no introductions, there. He did not know who the man was.
Ariadne
*contest
Alaric von der
[ignore that. I thought Mordie had joined Ari. No man with her!]
Amalea
The red-head was content to listen to the two men as they debated. She quietly sipped her wine as she waited to see what conclusion was reached.
Elizabeth
"Indigent? I hardly believe my costume was needy, nor was the Lady Godiva. Quite the opposite. She stood against the unjustice of her husband and later would become a patron of and for the church. Her name in fact means Gift of God." She offered with a shrug, before smiling. "Good evening. Well, since you two know the other, I will leave you be." She dipped her head cordially to them both, and moved to claim a seat at what seemed to be a conference table to enjoy her wine.
Alexandrea
*finishes the rum and looks wishfully at Amalea*
Amalea
snickered at Alex's look and scooted off to the kitchen only to return a few moments of later with another bottle of rum, the bottle of red wine and a couple bottles of blood so people could help themselves if they wished.
Mordechai
A low rumbling sound slowly grew in volume and intensity, until it became apparent theat the killer was laughing. "My point was simply that you are too quick on the defensive, my mine friend." With a wink he moved deeper into the room, till he had cleared the main cluster of partiers, ten touched two fingers to his forehead giving a small salute to Ariadne as he quietly whisperd inside her mind 'Stunning as usually, Madame Ariadne'.
Ariadne
sipped at her drink and shrugged. "Well, the archaic form has a meaning that is 'totally lacking in something specified', but I suppose I may be to young in years to know the subtleties the come with such language." She turned her attention back to Alaric and smiled. 'I'm surprised to see you."
Ariadne
tilted her head to acknowledge the Killer and thank him silently for his compliment.
Alaric von der
Something had passed between the women that Alaric couldn't quite understand. There was a subtlety in their behaviour that hinted at something lurking beneath the surface, but it was not his place to ask the questions. Elizabeth moved away, and Alaric took a seat. "And why are you surprised?" he asked, his confused attention shifting from Elizabeth to settle, almost amused, upon Ariadne.
Ariadne
chuckled. "Because you seem about as awkward in social situations as I normally feel. Until this week, I don't recall ever having seen you at a gathering of this sort, so several times in such a short span is... interesting."
Doc
Doc laughed and shook his head. "Not defensive .. devil's advocate.." He called after Mordie as he headed toward Ari and Alaric. Looking at the group then to Amalea. He lowered his voice, "I recognize 'Alaric', he came to the first townhall meeting. Other than I know nothing about him. Do you know him?"
Alexandrea
Oh right. He was at the meeting... *nodded* I thought he seemed familiar.
Amalea
Amalea shook her head, answering quietly, " I recognized him from there, but I know nothing about him, either. Though he seems friendly with both Ari and Liz."
Alaric von der
Alaric smiled, and nodded. "I am... growing more comfortable. I am... how you say it... getting out more?" he said. Meeting new people. It was what one did, was it not?
Alexandrea
He's one of Liz's bloodline. I took a 'peek' at him, lol. ;) To be fair though, I had a hunch.
Ariadne
nodded. She may have understood better than most what a burden it was to live with social anxiety, and how much of a struggle it could be just to leave the house some nights. Even now, forcing herself out of the winery basement could be a alarming prospect. "I've been working on socializing for... six years? The progress has been minimal, but steady."
Alexandrea
"Blood siblings, so he may, and I suspect that he is, be from the 'good old days' as well."
Doc
Doc was feeling.. territorial, but was trying not to over react. "One of Lizzie's?" that did not set well. "Alright.. " he nodded. He looked outwardly like it was no big deal. He replayed the introduction in his mind. Alaric had looked appalled. What at? Ah yes.. A naked Lizzie. He frowned ever so slightly. He pulled himself from his thoughts and looked at Alex again, "Oh..?" Then as it sunk in, "Oh!" That would explain why he was appalled, he is from a time when nudity, in public was far from accepted. Still. Doc watched him.
Alaric von der
He probably didn't have to relay to Ariadne that he had not yet been awake for six years; he'd been entombed in a place of shadows and death for two centuries. Times had changed, and too much company could be overwhelming. "I find that it is the electricity that overwhelms me most. Too many people gathered in one place, as well... it is ...disconcerting," he added, peering at Ariadne curiously. The hairs at the back of his neck stood up, and he glanced over to where the others were gathered; he was being watched. He frowned. "Did you come alone? Do you know the people here?"
Elizabeth
finished her wine, set her glass down, then glanced at Mordechai. Her lips twitched in amusement, before she patted the table and glanced at the chair to her left. "Mordechai. Come and sit. Tell me more about your costume, please."
Doc
Doc smiled at Alex, "So.. 'Mother'...'' he grinned, "You are a quite handy to have around. Thank you." He then glanced at Amalea, "Have you two known each other long?"
Ariadne
glanced over at Doc. "I did come alone, and I do know people. My ex is here... and is not a pleasant relationship at the moment."
Mordechai
moved towards Liz "It is.. a pirate... some movie or something... He uses a plastic sword, I prefer my silver ********" The killer slid his sword a few inches out of its sheath. "Aparently women find this character desireable" Shrugging his shoulders he continued, if it is so, I have not noticed any attention other than the fear humans always show"
Amalea
"Alex?" She laughed softly, "Nearly as long as I've known you, I think."
Alexandrea
*chuckles* tell him how we met?
Alaric von der
"Your... ex?" Alaric asked. He did not understand the terminology. He followed Ariadne's gaze, but could not be certain which one was her 'ex'. It could have been anyone. He waited to ask his questions after he understood what she meant.
Amalea
Her head tilted slightly, "That inferno sour blood incident, wasn't it? Or was it before that?
Tiamat
entered the building and slowly looked around slowly. She sighed inwardly at the lack of people she actually knew. She moved through the room to a table, the gold dragon on the front of her black dress glittering under the light as she moved. She quietly tapped her fingers on her tabletop.
Elizabeth
"Which character would that be?" She asked with a tip of her head, as she glanced at the real sword being presented. "I have to ask, was one always this tall, or has one gained height of significant proportion since becoming a vampire?"
Ariadne
pursed her lips. Explaining the depth of that relationship was not a thing she wished to do, however she had mentioned the topic... "Just... a romantic partner of several years who has since, disengaged in favor of someone more libidinous."
Alexandrea
Well, aside from just briefly exchanging pleasantries? That miserable escapade though the old Broussard place with those two little boys, Mike who was a good kid all in all... and that WINDBAG. Anemoi who became a Paladin I heard...
Ariadne
"It is a new wound, Alaric."
Doc
"Sour blood?" he slid a look between them, "Broussard..? Some time indeed then..
Mordechai
The package mentioned a bird I have no idea what birds have todo with pirates, but it said it was a 'Jack Sparrow'. A contemplative look crossed his countenance as he considered the second part of her query... "it is an unknown side affect of my ascendance. though it appears to be slowing recently."
Elizabeth
nodded her head. "Has one any theories as to why that may be?" She asked, her mind wandering slightly at the mention of a name she was unfamiliar with, her mind browsing the internet. "I have never seen those movies before." She smiled apologetically.
Amalea
She nodded at Alex, "Yeah... I heard that too... not surprising." She sighed, "It was a while ago...back when I could actually hack things... including Crownet, so that gives you an idea of the timeline. I came across the mention of a ritual called sour blood . It was said to make a human's blood toxic to a vampire... much like a Bane, I suppose. All information pointed to it being in the old Broussard place. We didn't find it, though. That's likely partly due to the other humans we had with us."
Alexandrea
partly?
Alexandrea
lol
Alexandrea
entirely.
Alexandrea
we would have rocked that place if we had gone in just the two of us
Alexandrea
sneaky in, sneaky out. no big fuss and muss
Doc
Doc looked between them, and leaned toward the both of them. "That was my first full scale battle.. not as a fighter .. as conscripted Physician."
Amalea
The red-head snorted, "I was being nice... Mike might have been ok... but, no... I learnt my lesson. Fewer the better unless I trust all of them."
Alexandrea
~nods~
Alexandrea
you knew the Broussards, Doc?
Amalea
"I don't think I got involved with the Broussard incident," she frowned, trying to recall.
Mordechai
"One who mentored me long ago, due to the negligence of the one who hunted me, said it is a natural effect on those of the killer class." Looking askance at the ex queen of Harper rock, he continued on "I do not watch any movies, My Liege" A wink followed the salutation.
Alaric von der
Alaric's attention returned to Ariadne, the frown now in favour of her predicament than in regards to those who had been watching him, who no longer appeared to be doing so. "That is... unfortunate," he said. He would have reached out to offer some form of physical reassurance, but did not know whether it would be deemed inappropriate. As it was, he was consciously looking only at Ariadne's face, and not at the flesh of her legs currently on show. It was a difficult feat, but he would remain a gentleman. "I am still growing accustomed to the relationships of modernity. I am accustomed to commitment," he said.
Alaric von der
"I am sorry for your woe."
Doc
"The Broussard.. yes. tried to avoid him as much as possible.. yet. The chance to study a full compliment of blood thieves? How does one turn that down?"
Alexandrea
how indeed... lol
Alexandrea
so they all died... and none returned?
Ariadne
Them and Pratt, thank god...
Doc
"You must understand.. this was before.. Doc 2.0.. I was still Doc the original at the time."
Amalea
Amalea stared a moment, trying to reword her thoughts in such a way that it wouldn't be taken out of context, "Do I need to be worried that I might become an experiment?"
Elizabeth
"Never?" She asked, surprised to hear such a thing. "I thought most of this time did. Reading seems to be a waste to those with a younger mindset. Most unfortunate mentality, but seems to be a fact in this day and age." She concluded with a shake of her head. "You know, you are allowed to refer to me as just Elizabeth, yes?" She twisted her lips in humour.
Alexandrea
Alex grinned and leaned closer to hear Doc's reply to Amalea*
Doc
"No.. That was Doc the original. Before'he' knew the full extent of Vampire powers and abilities." he glanced at Alexandrea and smiled, "Unless.. of course someone pisses Doc 2.0 off.. then.. well. he can be rather nasty. But chances are slim. running for Office.. you know." He then smiled at the both, evenly and jovially.
Alexandrea
oh yes!
Alexandrea
Harry mentioned that!
Alexandrea
I must say, you do have my vote. :)
Doc
"Yes, Harry has come through quite splendidly. Thank you."
Alexandrea
He's a real peach.
Alaric von der
Alaric arched a brow. Ariadne had responded by mentioning someone called Pratt; Alaric had been paying no attention to the conversation happening behind him. He, again, was lost -- and Ariadne's attention was elsewhere. He leaned back, and contended himself with watching the room -- though surmised he would soon leave.
Amalea
Snickering softly, she smiled, "And mine as well." That was a given, of course, but there was no harm in saying it as well. "When are the elections?"
Elizabeth
"If you will excuse me...My glass is empty and I know there is more wine somewhere..." Elizabeth stood, collected her glass and moved to get more wine.
Mordechai
I prefer to read, movies are... fluff? They are pointless fantasy, you learn nothing from them" Reaching into his pocket he produced a well worn and dog- eared tome, "From the masters, such as Sun Tzu, you can learn much, their lessons are timeless. In fact it is possible that it even predates yourself, Elizabeth"
Alexandrea
~sighed and adjusted the extremely uncomfortable metal bra~ "Say, anyone have a shirt I could change into? Being a slave princess really sucks... "
Amalea
"Sure, if you don't mind having one that says Crimson Delights on it?"
Mordechai
slipped from the shirt of the costume, a one handed flip landing it expertly over Alex's arm. Cocking his head an audible crack sounded as he gently flexed his massive frame. He wound nevere wear this outfit again, "Keep it"
Amalea
"Or that," she laughed softly.
Doc
"March.. 27th is the projected date, I believe. This is a special election. Normally they are in November. But the seat I am running for, is seat vacated by a death. Instead of leaving it unfilled for the remaining 2 years of the term, they are doing one off. March election, winner will fulfill the remaining time of the four year term. "
Tiamat
narrowed her eyes as she heard his name mentioned. She remained silent though in spite of her physically bristling, and pulled out her phone to check emails. She busied herself in silence.
Ariadne
signed and nudged Alaric's foot with her own. "See, I went and lost myself in my thoughts again."
Alexandrea
I don't mind at all! Thank you! ... OH! lol Why thank you, Mordechai! It can make me a dress!" She is suddenly stone cold sober* "Oh... YES. Thank you VERY much! Excuse me folks, gonna take five and powder my nose!" The blonde hurries to the restroom to get out of the costume she now regretted and create a dress from Mordi's shirt*
Elizabeth
Elizabeth felt her lips quirk at what Mordechai said and then shook her head. "That does not surprise me. There are many of things that are older than I. I am not that old." She found a bottle of wine and wondered if Amalea would miss an entire bottle. If so, the woman could bill her. "Forgive me. It seems costume parties are not my forte. Thank you for the conversation this evening." With that, and the bottle of wine in her right hand, Elizabeth vanished.
Doc
"I wish i could stay kid.. but I have some things I do need to take care off. If I can I will try to head back. If I do not make it back. It was enjoyable.. thank you for invitation." He turned to Alexandrea, who was being dwarfed by Mordie's shirt, "I suppose I will be seeing more of you from now on... ' He said before Alex poofed.
Alaric von der
Alaric glanced down at his nudged foot and, when lifting his eyes again to Ariadne he caught a flash of leg. He blinked and smiled. "It is alright. What I say is not interesting," he said, only to be startled by the movement in the corner of his eyes. Several people had just vanished, Elizabeth included.
Doc
Doc left via the exit.
Amalea
"Noted," she grinned as she pulled her phone out to set a reminder for the date. "Tis a wise idea they have. A council seat that is vacant is of no use to anyone." She heard Liz and turned to say good-bye only to find the woman had already vanished. Shaking her head, she turned back to Doc, "Of course, have a good evening. Thank you for coming."
Mordechai
Shaking his head at the deserted chair across from him, Mordechai reach on to the table for his prized book, slipping it back into his pocket before raising his glass to Amalea with a cocked eyebrow.
Ariadne
This get very quiet very quickly...
Alexandrea
Safely out of sight (old habit), Alex teleported home and quickly got to work on Mordechai's shirt. She didn't bill her goods as 'Art you could wear' for nothing. Son she had something that she couldn't wait to wear ( https://www.pinterest.com/pin/64809682109084459/ ) and was changed in a jif, arriving back to Amalea's party a lot more comfortable than how she had left it.
Alexandrea
Where did everyone go? O.O
Amalea
"Welcome back... nice shirt," she grinned, "Liz and Doc had to leave."
Mordechai
Noting a break in Ariadnes conversation he let a smile grace his lips, "You mentioned Dice?"
Alexandrea
Ah ha... lol together or mere moments apart? ;)
Ariadne
That was a long time ago, before I managed to lose all social grace and irritate people, again.
Amalea
snickered softly, "Separately." She had her own suspicions, she was just too polite to state them.
Alexandrea
uh huh...
Alexandrea
let me know when the betting starts, I'll put good odds on Liz with a butcher's knife, in the drawing room
Alaric von der
Once more, Ariadne had not openly acknowledged what Alaric had said. Instead she commented on how quiet the party had got, as if the man were not sitting directly beside her. Clearing his throat, he stood. "It was good to see you, Ariadne," he nodded, though wondered if she would have noticed had he slipped out without saying a word. He turned, then, and made his way to the exit -- a walk would be preferable.
Amalea
"Depends what we'd be betting on," she laughed lightly, "I dunno, Doc with the rope in the library sounds like a solid bet to me."
Alexandrea
~giggles~
Alexandrea
When was the last time you played that game? Clue, I mean. lol :)
Ariadne
felt the walls closing in on her as people continued talking about Doc and his new partner. None of them knew about how she'd just been left, or how constantly hearing about the new couple was a constant stab at her heart. Ari quickly nodded to Alaric and stood, wrapping her cloak around herself. She had tried to be a different person for a few days, to see how it felt to be social and not weighed down. Instead, she found herself increasing preoccupied with jealously, which was not a trait of her. She was better off at home with her computers, or in the woods without others.
Alexandrea
Oh hey, that one guy left... the one that had Doc so on edge with his attentiveness to Elizabeth. *Alex chuckled. She found the strange dance that Liz and Doc were doing to be very amusing*
Amalea
"A while ago," she shook her head lightly, "It's hard to play games by yourself." She frowned as she looked around, "You're correct."
Alexandrea
Alex looked over to where Alaric had left Ariadne, waving her over with an oblivious smile. All she knew was that the woman now sat alone.*
Mordechai
As the participants contuned to evacuate the assembly Mordechai causght Ariadne's soft spoken words, "Ariadne, you were not abrasive. You were poised, and graceful in your conversation." The killer had spent many years sitting on the perimeters looking in on parties, never included within the inner workings. He knew what she was feeling, but also knew she held no fault this night
Alexandrea
Do you still have those dice, Ariadne?" Alex said suddenly. "why don't we all try a game again? Anyone?"
Mordechai
Once more he pulled the book from his pocket, standing and moving closer to the cloak wrapped female. "Ariadne, take this. Do not be mistaken in its contents by the title. It is a dissertation on life. Read it as a series of metafors that compare the battles of life, to the battles of War. It has helped me. It was not long ago, that I called noone friend, that I spoke to almost none. I am trying, it is a ghallenge that can be met and beat
Mordechai

Amalea
crossed over to where the others were gathered and slid into an open seat.
Alexandrea
((You open up a shadow gate, which gives anyone resting here overnight 2 extra anima point. At 13,9 ))
Tiamat
continued to tap on the tabletop as she messed around with her phone.
Mortll
slipped into the party better late than never ... and the person she was trying to avoid always left parties early She glanced around with a little relief. Her guess had been right but there were not many here she was quite surprised to see Tiamat here the woman usualy did not attend too many parties. Mortll spotted Amalea and walked over " Hello Sorry im late but i guess late is better than never I must have missed the crowd ?"
Amalea
"Evening, Mortll," she greeted the woman with a smile, "Aye, you missed a good portion of the crowd. Snag a seat and stay a while."
Mortll
smiled "Gladly Hello Miss Alex ... Mordie Tiamat surprised to see you here why dont you drag your nose out of that computer and be sociable ?"
Alexandrea
Hello, Mz. Mortll. *grins*
Amalea
"How are you this eve?"
Mortll
"Im good been hunting a little and tossed on a quick costume Figured id see who was still lurking about "
Tiamat
glanced up at Mortll and raised an eyebrow, still looking annoyed about something. "To what end," she replied.
Mortll
"Well you might learn something about people in person other than reading about them " Mortll cracked a grin and winked at the raven haird woman
Amalea
snorted quietly as she sipped her wine.
Mortll

Mordechai
sets down his empty glass, knowing the remaining participants of this debacle, his low voice carried easily to the sole human, "Another taste of ginger, if you will"
Tiamat
"And one could also learn a lot about death by dying than reading about it as well."
Amalea
Amalea smiled at the killer as she silently slipped out of her seat to head to the kitchen. She paused a moment, eyeing Mortll and Tiamat, "Drinks, ladies?"
Alexandrea
That's true! I learned far more about dying when I died then I did by reading about it while I was alive! *Alex beams, thinking she is being helpful*
Amalea
shook her head, "I'll keep my knowledge of dying confined to what I can find in a book, I think."
Alexandrea
~nods~
Alexandrea
that is best, dying sucks.
Alexandrea
every single time was a bummer... although the first was by far the worst
Amalea
The red-head nodded, "Really can't learn by dying when you're human." She stared between the ladies, waiting on their drink orders.
Alexandrea
wellllll... you COULD. But it would be living (pardon the pun) vicariously though the experiences of others.
Amalea
She tilted her head, "I'm not sure I follow."
Tiamat
"Once was more than enough for me, thank you."
Alexandrea
I could show you, if you allow. :) I can share my memories when I wish to.
Mortll
"Are you talking about being in someones mind when they perish Miss Alex ?"
Alexandrea
No, but that way would work too I imagine. Although I wouldn't know how.
Amalea
"Oohh, that way..." She shuddered at the thought, "I'm not sure about that, to be honest."
Mortll
"Being ripped limb from limb until you turn to ash isnt quite a feel good experience but long as you can still shoot them a ******* bird with one hand before you desitigrate gives you something to smile about when you come back "
Alexandrea
*laughs brightly* Well said!
Mortll
"Ive lost count of how many times ive died ... "
Alexandrea
She gives Amalea an honest smile, somewhat sad but full of kindness* "Even if you agreed to? I'd have to refuse you. I like you far too much to put you through what it feels like to be killed"
Amalea
Shaking her head, she left the woman to discuss death and dying as she headed to the kitchen. Refilling her own glass, she grabbed a fresh glass for the killer and an unlabeled bottle, which she had opened earlier. Returning to the group, she set the glass and bottle by the killer before reclaiming her own seat. She smiled at Alex, "No worries, I'm content with not knowing."
Mortll
"You never quite get used to it even if you know what to expect and already know what the pain feels like ... It still hurts like hell "
Tiamat
glanced at Mortll and the other one before looking back at the redhead. "Do you have blueberry?"
Mortll
"BUt the Fear disapates i guess "
Amalea
"Blueberry? Jam? Juice? Donuts?"
Mordechai
stood, following Amalea into the kitchen, "I have to go my friends, just a moment to let 'Lea know. Slipping thru the doors the shirtless giant stepped up behind her.
Alexandrea
*sighs* "and I think I've had enough 'celebrating' for the night!" lol :) "Red, you should call me, it's been way to long and I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed your company. Mortll. I find myself agreeing with everything you say lately! I hope to see you again soon. :) Mordi! *tackle hugs* I can never see enough of you! ;) *nods to Tiamat* Sorry we haven't gotten to meet but I need to be on my way. Enjoy your reading." ;)
Alexandrea
*exits stage left* <3
Amalea
"Have a good evening, Alex. Thanks for coming," she called.
Mortll
Goodnight Miss Alex
Amalea
Waiting on Tia's answer, she found herself with some company. She smiled, "Hi there."
Tiamat
"wine." she muttered under her breath in her normally unknown laguage, (mesopotamian) "foolish children know nothing."
Mortll
English Please dont mutter under your breath in a diffrent language its quite Rude "
Mordechai
His preternatural hearing easily picked up the word as he leaned down over the diminutive human. As his fangs caught at her earlobe he wispered in it, "The delusional one would prefer blueberry wine, and I definitely prefer ginger." One fang pierced her lobe, before his tounge gently picked up the single drop of blood. The killer knew better than to drink to deeply of the little thief, he had learned that lesson in the past as his blood had boiled. "Until next time" Picking up the bottle, his fangs slipped trough the smile he now wore, before he disappeared in a small puff of air.
Amalea
The red-head mummured
Tiamat
glanced over at Mortll slightly. "I shall use whichever that's in my repertoire that I so choose."
Amalea
The red-head murmured her thanks, stiffening slightly at the fang piercing her skin. It was unexpected, particularly given most knew she owned, and typically wore, a Bane. Contrary to what most thought, she didn't mind being fed from, especially from those she trusted; she just took exception to not being asked first. She relaxed as she realized he wasn't intending to feed; there was no desire to see him become ill from such, thus she would have warned him if it had appeared that was his goal. "Have a good night," she smiled as he disappeared with the bottle before retrieving the requested glass of blueberry wine for Tia and a glass of virgin for Mortll. Returning to the ladies, she presented each with their own glass.
Mortll
eyed Tiamat and was quite surprised when Amalea returned with a glass of blood for her "Thank you this is really appreciated " she nodded towards the blood
Amalea
She grinned as she slipped back into her own seat and reclaimed her glass, "I figured something from Arbor wouldn't go amiss."
Tiamat
nodded to Lea as she picked up her glass and slowly sipped on it. "Thank you. And what is that look for Mortl?"
Mortll
"Well its a i think im going to call it a night look ... She picked up the glass of blood from where Amalea had sat it "Thank you so much for your hospitality Miss Amalea i wont be so late next time You have done wonders with this place in such a short time " she drank the blood licking the last drop from her lips " I will see you ladies later yes Goodnight "
Amalea
"Night, Mortll," she smiled at the woman. "I'm sure next time, I will attempt to choose a weekend for such events so no one has to hurry off to work or such things."
Tiamat
"Indeed. Good night Mortll."
Amalea
Draining her glass, the red-head rose from her seat. "Unfortunately, I need to take my leave as well. Thank you for coming this evening."

Mortll earned 566 RPP.
Alaric von der
[Wearing: https://i.p i n i m g.com/originals/09/be/12 ... fa7594.jpg ]
Mordechai
[challange]
Amalea
crossed over to where the others were gathered and slid into an open seat.
