Blood thieves and thralls.
Ok so here's the thing, I've done like a lot of running over the different vampire paths and human classess, particularly dual classes. Blood thieves first of all, they can level up and get pxp fantastically well. Disadvantage being you can't get useful powers for some time, although in dual classes you can get some rather fantastic abilities with blood thief paladin or blood thief sorcerer.
But my main topic here is blood thieves feeding on allurists with the "enthrall human" power. Quick reminder, blood thieves temporarily obtain the powers of the vampires they feed on and can use them as long as their powers allow, which can be awhile, but it isn't permanent. Now lets say a blood thief feeds off an allurist with the enthrall human power, I'd assume it works at least for the amount of time his extension lasts and he doesn't feed again yet, as well as if he can actually obtain powers that are that high up. But what happens once that time runs out? Does he continue to keep the thrall, or does said thrall then...just vanish?
At first I was going to ask if anyone would test this out with me, and I'd just pay them the required money to get another blood, or let them feed on me instead and turn off retaliate/defense or whatever until they did so, if that's possible. But unfortunately I don't have the required level to obtain that yet.
Still, I think it's an interesting question, I'd also like to know what people think about the other thralls a blood thief can gain such as in dual class with Sorcery/Blood thief allowing for a trayonetic wolf, and people's opinions on if that if anyones done it.

You still have the thrall, but you can't use it without feeding off an allurist with that power again.

Re: Blood thieves and thralls.
Once a Blood Thief summons a thrall or wraith, they will have them until they choose to delete them. Amalea's had both of hers for some time, lol.
However, once you lose the power of Bewitch Human or Summon Wraith - you can no longer switch to your thrall/wraith (depending on power). Trying to do so will remind you you don't have the ability currently to do so. Feeding on someone with those powers will restore your control of your minions.
It is important to note... if you summon a human thrall using Bewitch Human 2, you must have Bewitch Human 2 to have control of the thrall. You cannot control a T2 Thrall with the T1 power. You can, however, control a T1 Thrall with either level of the power.

And once you get the levels? Poke at me and I'd be happy to share a pint of Alex's blood whenever you need it. I'd prefer a head's up before nibbles, is all. ;)

Ah well, darn, I guess they can still be useful though, but just temporarily. Especially considering how many allurists there are based on the stats.Enver Marshall II wrote:You still have the thrall, but you can't use it without feeding off an allurist with that power again.
Thanks!

Lol, thanks! I appreciate it! I'll definitely try to ask before doing that, pretty sure even when I get there I'll be too low leveled to take it by force haha!

No matter your level you should be able to feed from anyone who has you listed as an ally.
Thralls and wraiths can be very useful. And they can be a lot of fun to rp.

And even when you can't 'control' them? You could still rp them. That might be even more fun that way, lol.
Also, I am pretty sure they continue to keep on them whatever you have had them holding, so they are kind of like a lockbox that way. Just sometimes the box can't be opened... lol ;)

Re: Blood thieves and thralls.
Hm that's true they'd certainly have plenty of uses even if they can't actively be used grid wise, and rping a thrall controlled by a blood thief instead of a vampire I think would be pretty cool (If a bit odd/difficult)

Re: Blood thieves and thralls.
you dont need to bite an allurist.... amalea controls hers by biting a killer usually....
you just need someone that has bridged to allurist, which is many, if you know any of the older vamps
