Doc
Amalea says: "Well.. first off, I agree - there's no reason you shouldn't continue pursuing a run for office. It'll be tougher, but done carefully, it could work.If I was on the other side of this? I'd be deeply concerned about the way the military facility was attacked as a first response rather than a more" Doc says: "I have no problem with that. I have become quite accustomed these last few years to feed from plastic.. If I can do it.. so can others." "0h 1m ago: Elizabeth says: "You have and that is a fair desire to want. But, I feel as if the majority do not care where they get their blood from...so long as they get it. * She frowns * "

Doc
Ah.. you have a point Lizzie. Perhaps that is the platform, in addition to the crime.. the alarming missing numbers,.. and the ******* parking issues.. in Harper Rock.

Amalea
rather than a more than a more peaceful option as a first try. It speaks to the vampire community as a whole being aggressive and violent - which I know it isn't - but that's the impression given. I'd also certainly want to see vampires stop forcing themselves on humans to feed. I know I said something similar at the town hall meeting, but it still holds true."

Amalea
Getting blood from willing live donors is perfectly alright too. It's the force feeding that's an issue.

Amalea
She giggled, "Parking really is a nightmare around the city. Either it needs fixing or the transit system needs some updating to make it a more attractive option.

Elizabeth
"Of course." She nodded her head in agreement. "I think we pick one or two platforms, Charles and make the most out of those."

Elizabeth
"Mass effort in two areas, is better than tackling the bulk and getting nothing done."

Doc
Doc nods slowly. "There are other methods of feeding as well. We can subsist on animal blood quite well. It is the act of the kiss that may are addicted to." He frowned. "I cannot say that is something that I have any feeling for. To feed is a act of subsistence, in my mind. But others it is different. But I know.. there are those that do not mind being fed from.. " Then to Lizzie. "The missing is huge as well., and the ******* parking. Omg Lizzie.. You dont drive.. I do.. I would gladly kill for a parking spot at times."

Amalea
Absolutely. That's one thing most people hate about politicians. They make promises and then make no effort in trying to keep them. One of the reasons, I'm sure, is that they make too many of them in hopes of getting votes from a large variety of voters."

Elizabeth
"Fine, then your plaform is parking and to head a task force that is geared towards finding the missing." She shrugged her shoulders.

Doc
Doc is quite passionately about his parking platform. The working person in Harper Rock would buy into anyone that would bring more parking to Harper Rock. "Alright.. but should I ignore that I am a Vampire.. And jsut apply as a citizen of Harper Rock?"

Elizabeth
How can you ignore being a vampire? If you do not admit it and they find out later, I think it will back fire tremendously. What else is he lying about or hiding?"

Doc
Fair enough.. but how do I approach it? As I said.. Mona McGee knows who I am.. she and I have had run ins.. and she owns a paper.

Amalea
The red-head shook her head slightly, "You are a citizen of Harper Rock regardless of your species. But Liz is right, hiding it will only raise questions later. Given Mona knows, you're better off admitting it before she does a huge issue of The Sun dedicated to it.

Elizabeth
"She knows who you are. Who cares? Soon everyone wll know who or what you are if you plan to go this avenue. Besides, she tried to black mail me once as well. I think if a few of us point that out, well...what she says from here on out might not be cared about anyways."

Doc
Exactly.. That is the conundrum. Done well it hits the press for a fews and fades.. done poorly.. it brings the heat down on all vampire.

Doc
Doc looked at Lizzie. "She blackmailed you?" He gasped in a playful manner, "And she still breathes?!"

Elizabeth
"Tried." Elizabeth reminded him with a small smirk.

Amalea
Amalea was still grumpy at the cow over recent events, "One would think the woman would tame her tongue given she has three small children now. But best, I think, to approach it head on and matter-of-factly. That you own a couple businesses that benefit humans will be an asset, for sure."

Elizabeth
"Three children? Really?" Elizabeth frowned then nodded at Amalea's suggestion, before her eyes sort of drifted from the conversation and into something...else.

Doc
Doc gave her an approving grin. He liked her silent yet decidedly sauciness. "Me too.. I was far from polite in my answer to her." He paused, "She has three children out of wedlock. One can only hope they have a 'positive' parental figure in their poor lives."

Doc
"Poor Children.. a blackmailer for a mother.. ?"

Amalea
Amalea snorted, "With Gideon as a father? They're likely being raised by a commune of paladins given none of them seem to be able to stay out of the hospital long enough to be full-time caretakers."

Elizabeth
"How terrible, indeed." Elizabeth mused, before blinking. "Parking and the missing. Two very important things for humans of today. And vampires, with the parking." Why vampires needed cars were beyond her, but...she kept that to herself.

Elizabeth
"Transparency is key, that we both agree upon." She glanced to Amalea, then to him. "If someone had seen thee in the compound...whatever story you wish to tell, none would be the wiser. But from here on forward, when you decide to publicly announce your desire to run for office, one cannot be seen in potentially risky scenarios." She cautioned.

Doc
Doc locked his gaze on Amalea. "You know the father? I have seen him.. or I presumed it was he, that was the father. I have heard the name Gideon, but I could not but a face to the name. Are you sure this man is teh the father? And can you get me his photo?"

Doc
Doc looked at Lizzie, "Which is why I have been ..in hiding.. since I was missing limbs. There was no good to come from being without a leg one day and it being back the next week.. I had to go to ground."

Elizabeth
"Yes, well..." She kept her opinions to herself and how he wouldn't have missing limbs if more caution would have been taken.

Amalea
She sighed, "Yes...he threw an awful fit over her being pregnant when the bank was robbed in May. Course.. he was also armed with a stapler of all things, but that's a different story. I could get you something with his face, I'm sure, even if it's not a photo. Between that incident and the one were he decided to attack me... I have a good idea of what he looks like."

Amalea
"Liz has a point," she nodded to the woman, "if you decide to run, you will be subject to additional scrutiny and will have to consider your actions moreso than before."

Doc
Doc looks at Amalea then Lizzie.. "I know this.. but someone has to speak for us. And who would you want? Elliot? Enver? Ripper? At least I can offer parking.. "

Amalea
"Oh **** no... Ripper would get us all killed. Enver's the lesser of the three evils, but I can't see him doing well in politics," the red-head shuddered at the thought. "You also offer some form of sanity and a solid head on your shoulders."

Doc
Doc secretly smirked. He had never head Amalea curse. He barely refrained from grinning openly. "Enver's not so ******* bad. He's over the top.. and I question his sanity.. but if he were to sign off on me.. that would be saying a lot.. he is ******* popular.."

Doc
Doc snapped his fingers, "He had that book thing last year.. coming out. I thought it was a bad idea at the time.. but he's not been attacked.. that bodes well.. "

Amalea
"Enver does have a few screws loose," she laughed lightly, thinking of the incident at the NYE event, "but he is popular among the humans. That he has had the book deal and been safe does bode well. I've heard rumor that he was going to be doing a movie as well. It would be in his interest to have relations between humans and vampires mended, so perhaps he would be willing to do an endorsement."

Elizabeth
She rolled her shoulders. Elizabeth did not read books printed anywhere near today's date and seldomly saw movies. "Perhaps, but one does not want him stealing your thunder away either."

Elizabeth
"It may be a good starting point, but...I believe one could stand on their own two feet quite well."

Doc
Doc looked at Lizzie, "Why not? As long as he isnt running for office? If he can keep the vultures at bay.. He can have the thunder as long as I get the Councilman seat..."

Elizabeth
"Well, if his sanity is questioned...by the two of you..." She lifted her shoulders.

Doc
I do not want the attention. Or admiration. I just want to be elected. To have my foot in the door. *He gave Lizzie a grin* He's an actor.. they are all ******* crazy..

Amalea
She laughed, "I think it comes with the territory for actors. I only question his sanity after his...antics.. at his party last year." She looked at Liz, "Do you have any suggestions of others that might make suitable endorsements that the human public would accept?"

Elizabeth
"Perhaps our world is crazy enough...I just do not wish to see someone that may be crazy being a hazard." She frowned, then slowly nodded. "However, if he is popular with the humans, he could be a temporary ally of sorts...A place to start."

Elizabeth
"Alexandrea has Harry, a police officer. A thrall, admittedly. But, she seems to have many businesses and I seek her opinion from time to time." She offered, before shaking her head. "She is no actor, nor has had a book published or movie made...but..."

Doc
"Yes.. that is presuming he would endorse me. I don't know that he would. I am affiliated with Ty.. my understanding.. is he hated Ty.. saw them as bullies.. so this could all come to naught."

Elizabeth
(edit officer, for commisioner...I think? >< )

Doc
"I know Aleandrea.. i had no idea she had such an influential thrall.. I like Alex.. I wonder if she could get the HR Police to endorce me..?"

Elizabeth
"I suppose it depends on your past with her." Elizabeth said with a shrug of her shoulders. "I would seek her out in regards to the task force for the missing persons. Then, perhaps go from there?"

Amalea
"Tis a good starting point," she agreed. "Alex does seem to have a solid head on her shoulders and she gets along with many."

Doc
Doc nods. "She is prominent business owner, love her jewelry selection.. " He looks at Lizzie, "It is quality.. She's always been pleasant and even keeled. Yes.. I will approach her.. for her endorsement. And .. Enver? Yes? No?"

Elizabeth
"Is it? I will have to keep that in mind..." She trailed off, thinking, very briefly of something, before twisting her lips in thought. "I suppose, if he is as popular as the two of you claim. But, I would bet my horse on Alex over someone who may be insane any day. No matter how popular they are."

Amalea
"Enver, you may wish to sit down and talk with to get a feel for where his head lies these days. Honestly, I don't keep up with his fame, so I'm not sure about his current standing." She paused, "Alex, though, seems to be a community staple. She might have information that would be helpful towards building your platforms - especially on the missing persons front."

Doc
"Alright.. Enver is out. Unless he approaches me. But I will speak to Alex."

Elizabeth
"Perhaps she will have some good suggestions since she walks the line between humans and vampires, that I do not know of...Perhaps even another popular human." She glanced towards Amalea, before glancing around. "Amalea has worked with both humans and vampires...she is going to be one of your strongest and wisest advisaries, if you let her."

Amalea
"I wouldn't discount Enver completely, though. He's still a potentially valuable ally."

Doc
'As i said.. I will not approach him.. but if he approaches me.. I see how he feels. I cant spread myself thin." Then he looked at Lizzie, "I will never discount Amalea's advice."

Doc
(I am out.. time for me to go - thank youfor the RP!))

Elizabeth
(night!)

Amalea
She nodded lightly, "Nor should you spread yourself thin. It is what gets many into trouble."

Amalea
(night)
