Dusty booted footsteps made their way down the dark street of Harper Rock and a yawn parted her lips as she angled her head and lifted a hand to run her fingers through her hair. A leaf caught in her grasp and her brown hues eyed the thing for a moment before she simply tossed it aside. Pale hands flicked over her dusty jacket before she shrugged out of it. Raven had been on the road ever since she had left Harper Rock, moving from one town to another. Occasionally a body or two was left behind in her wake before she boarded the bus and moved on to another town. A murder here, a murder there and she moved on so not to draw suspicion to herself. It was… Thrilling, living on the risky side, as every vampire knew that if a vampire strayed from Harper Rock, then there was a risk of permanent death. However, while she had sustained a bullet wound here and a slash there, there had never been any risk of her permanently dying.
The woman had found herself all over again and it was… Uplifting to say in the least. No worries had plagued her mind and no cares in the world were given. Permanent fangs flashed in soft lighting as she disregarded the looks that were shot in her way. Indeed, she knew that all citizens were very aware of vampires within their city. So, it didn’t really phase her that she knew that cameras and others would be watching her path. Her path veered then and took her into a bar which was called Metronome Club. It was the first one she had seen and pale hands brushed against the clothes and flesh of the humans that danced and sweated to the music that the DJ currently played.
Thirst was high on her priorities list and she listened to the heartbeats that thumped in time to the beating bass. The vampire could almost image the blood that pumped through the human bodies and a shiver of thrill travelled down her spine. Oh yes! While the humans might very well know that vampires exist, it just made the hunt that much harder, more complex and much more fun for the woman. To be seen and yet not seen. Plus, even she was suspected in a murder without evidence, she had the number of a certain attorney whose name, Wilson has said that he would be there should she ever need one. It was strange to think of that certain encounter, but it made her chuckle even now to think about such an encounter. Perhaps, it was to save his own skin, but if she did find herself needing one, she was sure to make sure that he would hold up to his end, even if she had to threaten his life.
Humans, they regarded their lives as valuable, so they would do anything to hold onto it. Upon approaching the bar, her eyes regarded the man behind it for a moment; watched as he seized up her dusty appearance. “What will it be?” He asked and she flashed her fangs at him which made him shy back away from her. Raven chuckled before a smirk caressed her lips, ”Make it a scotch.” While she couldn’t drink it, it was just a simple prop so she could watch the crowd with a hunger in her eyes. A hunger that would gladly rip all of their throats out. It was this hunger, that the vampire had started to grow to live with, one that drank and kill from a body once every week. It had been something that she decided was necessary in order to keep on doing what she was doing, without leaving too many bodies behind.
After a moment, the woman finally tugged out a phone that she had gotten while she had been on the road and slid her fingers across the screen only to tap out a single message upon the Fforde forum, a smirk soon followed suit. She figured that they all thought that she had been dead. Or not, but she was back and they probably see her at some point or another.
