New Blood {Tiberius}

Post by Marisol »

Marisol would never get used to the sense of using her tome. She supposed it was because the day she had been dying, she'd tomed to Limbo only to find Jesse and Clover, and Clover had planned to make her into dinner. Although all bitterness towards the woman had since dissipated and she thought that things were getting to the point of okay between herself and Jesse, it was still taking her some time to adapt.

Her throat still felt as if it were burning even hours after she had fed, it was a bit of misery that had gathered. Something that she had accepted and chose to ignore with the help of green apple flavored throat lozenges that helped ease the pain. With a hum escaping past her lips, the brunette pulled her hair into a high ponytail before straightening up and adjusting the bag she had over her shoulder. She turned her head from the left and then to the right, considering it all.

She felt things were good. She was happier than she had been in life, primarily because she was able to call her own shots. She had a boss that didn't drive her up the wall, but she supposed that was also because she was romantically involved with him. There hadn't been any trouble mixing business with pleasure so far and she hoped that it would remain that way.

It had been a dress down day for her, a simple pair of skinny jeans with an oversized yellow sweater with heels. Her curiosity had gotten the better of her, needless to say. The idea of yet another new vampire in the family other than her Nicolai perked her interest as she looked around Limbo until she found an unfamiliar face - something she appreciated nowadays, given she didn’t have to worry about much.

With an inclination of her head, the brunette folded her arms in front of her chest as she looked down at the man with a curious expression playing across her features. “You must be the new guy. Enjoying the week long illness?” She inquired. That was one thing that Marisol certainly did not miss about when she was turned.

One of many side effects around blood loss was tiredness, that uncontrollable need to sleep, it was often discouraged because it often meant the tired person had lost enough blood that they might go into shock and never wake up. Tiberius knew all about shock and blood loss, in his line of work it was uncommon to not have someone bleeding to death on a daily basis, be it a member of his team or of the enemy team.

Bored. ******* bored. Tiberius was becoming more and more frustrated with each passing hour. His body ached, his mind was more shattered than usual and he had this uncontrollable desire for something, food was the main thought but it was something more twisted. Blood, he wanted blood and he wasn't entirely sure why. One thought that did cross his mind was 'Asshole' or Jesse as he introduced himself, had bitten him? He couldn't quiet remember but they exchanged words and eventually he ended up here in this boring room, alone, with a vomit bag.

Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic... teddy bears. His mind filled with words, almost as if it were a glass being filled up with a high pressure hose, so much noise and so little sense... Salt the wound... Strip the flesh. Tiberius shoved his hand against his forehead firmly, almost snarling as he did so, his body shaking as he squeezed at his temples.

"STOP! Shut the **** up!"

Who was he talking to, the voices of course but he wasn't sure why he bothered since they never really listened to him, they just teased and tormented him.
A woman drew his attention, was she pretty? Did it matter? She spoke to him and he laid there for a few moments in his tattered grey shirt, blue jeans and boots.

So what? Come to stare? Do I need to put a bullet in you? And no I hate the illness and being trapped here.

Tiberius stared at the woman before him, the realisation that he left his weapon behind suddenly hit him like a weight. That had been his most favourite weapon. Now he would have to find a new one, once he was able to bear the pain and walk.

Marisol remembered the pain and misery of her own turning too well. First, she'd been shot by her former master's psychotic wife - technically, Logan had been shot and the bullet passed through her, but she was still damn well injured. That night had a bit of terror to it, the unknown of what was going on and who would make it out in the end. Her money had been on the hitman that Mariah had paid - she still didn't know where the man had gone, but she also hadn't mentioned him to her sire.

"Like it would do anything good."

The two had only recently begun to get along. She and Clover, well, were another story. She doubted they would ever be friends, but it would be a bit nice to not have to deal with the constant spat between the two women. They had centuries to settle the dislike, but would it even be worth it in the end? Marisol, although she would say otherwise, wasn't at fault for Logan's death. As a thrall, she should have protected him, but for some reason, Logan had put himself in front of her.

It still drove her crazy, too. Marisol didn't understand why.

Tiberius' comment, however, had her giving a fanged smirk.

"If you put a bullet in me, or try to put a bullet in me, I should say, I'll return the favor." Marisol wasn't unarmed. She had her gun in her purse and a knife was in her boot. She wasn't helpless, she just found no need to be violent. Harper Rock, however, wasn't a safe place to go around unarmed. Vampire or not. She bled on a regular basis, usually from being shot from some idiot that couldn't steady his hand in the slums.

Her retaliation would likely come in the form of insects and as she smirked softly, the woman nodded towards the fadeportal. “Technically, you aren't trapped here. There are exits, you're simply too weak to take them. The illness will pass, I had it before you."

Stubborn and crazy, Tiberius sat up in the bed with a low growl; every inch of his body was a twisted agonizing pain. Before he landed in this **** hole called Harper Rock, he had been traveling from place to place depending on how his work was received. Drugs are always sort after and seemingly have been for a long time now, so it was unlikely that drug trafficking would go out of business anytime soon, it just depended on the severity of the law in each country they visited.

His dark eyes glared at the woman in front of him as she spoke. She would shoot him, would he like that? He couldn’t remember if he enjoyed the searing flesh of a bullet wound or if it hurt. Hurt seemed more likely the answer but Tiberius was strange, he actually did not mind one way or the other about the pain. If his tattered memory was correct, he had been shot on more than one occasion back when they were taking a break from the drug trade on an island off Hawaii. Turf wars between gangs and drug traffickers but in the end, Tiberius always walked away, even with bullets in his body. Back when he was a teenager, an accident had caused him some brain damage which affected his pain receptors, so he never felt pain like a normal human.

“Do it. I might enjoy it.”

The words oozed with a daring tone, he wasn’t scared, and instead he reached into his pocket for his knife. As he flicked the blade open, he lifted his hand and cut straight across his palm in the same cliché way they do in the movies. He was somewhere between a ‘pire and a human but he wanted this person to know he wasn’t afraid of pain. Ribcage stew... Time to bleed... Blood, blood, blood... BLOOD! Fractured fragments of his mind started to fill his head once more but he was quickly drawn back to the woman before him as she moved.

“Did you now? Any suggestions? I’ll be up and walking in no time. Stubborn like that.”
