Celine had been a normal girl at the age of 16, but one night changed all of that. She was home alone, watching her favorite anime, Sailor Moon, in the living room. The only other thing on her mind was the gymnastics meetings she had coming up and working around her self defense classes she had been taking as well. Those two things took up most of her time besides homework and school.
She was so completely distracted that she didn’t hear the robber come into the room, hadn’t heard him force a window open to get inside, A shadow crossed over her and she looked up from her spot on the floor, thinking her parents had come home early only to see someone she had never seen before.
“No one was supposed to be home.” the man grumbled before bringing down his fists into her head. She fought back, kicking and punching but he was stronger than her, a couple of blows to the head later and her vision went black.
Her parents came home to their house robbed and their daughter bloodied and unconscious. She was rushed to the hospital where she stayed in a coma for about a month. When she woke up, her parents did not have their little girl back. She was there but yet...not there. She did not know who they were, she didn’t know her little brother either. She didn’t believe herself to be Celine Thanos but to be Usagi from the anime and that she was really a magic girl, super hero and that she didn’t belong home with them.
The doctors were not sure what happen to Celine. The TV show must have imprinted on her as it being the last thing she saw, the damage to her mind, her memories might have been lost. They couldn’t be for sure if this would only last for a short time or for a very long time.
Her parents tried to take her home, but she would have outbursts. “You’re not my real parents!” she would scream. It broke their hearts. She became too much to handle and they had her committed, so she could hopefully get the help she needed. Her outbursts got worse there however.
“I don’t understand why I’m here. Let me go.” Celine said, crossing her arms and pouting.
“Celine, we are here to help you.” the doctor said, they had Sailor Moon playing. “You are not this person. She isn’t real. She’s nothing more than a cartoon for entertainment.”
Celine stared at the TV. “My name isn’t Celine! And I don’t know how you got that footage! You're trying to brainwash me.” she said, she didn't see it as anime, she saw it as real. “You..you must be evil….who sent you? Beryl?” she said, grabbing the nearest item, a lamp and tried to use it to ‘purify’ the evil she saw before her. She was tackled and sedated.
And this was her life. She thought everyone was the enemy if they tried to tell her she wasn’t who she was. So they stopped trying. She went to classes so she would at least have her GED, if she ever snapped out of it.
But at age 20, she was still the same other than she grew not to dislike being called Celine, she figured it must be easier for them to say than her real name. During her time there, she wouldn’t let them cut her hair either. She was slowly trying to make herself look like the character as well.
Celine curled up in her bed, praying for a way out of this prison that the bad guys must have put her in. No one was coming to save her. Maybe all her allies had forgotten who they were. She would have to free herself, she would have to be strong.
So one night she devised a plan. She screamed for help then hid behind the door. When they entered the room, she ran out. She was nimble enough to hide herself behind many objects she came across on her way to the door out but the only problem was, she needed a key. She was going to have to be strong, yes. She knocked out the one with the key and made her escape.
It didn’t take long for them to release a statement to the public to be on the look out for her. They deemed her dangerous. Celine huffed. How much control did the bad guys have? They had her fake parents on there, pleading for her to come back. It wasn’t safe for her here. So fled the city.
Celine found a town she hoped they wouldn’t find her but it didn’t take her long to figure out that the town she picked to go to was not good. Vampires? She shook her head. She stumbled across another bad guy hotspot. She felt like this was where she needed to be though. She needed to collect her allies and fight back. This was the vow she made to herself.
She got herself a job, she needed money after all. She followed the rumors of magical humans, and became a Sorcerer. She had no idea why she couldn’t transform so she needed some magic to fight back with. She believed that the bad guys must have done something to her, that’s why she couldn’t transform. She would just have to become stronger on her own to fight back.
One night she found herself in what people called the QZ, she was decked out in her own outfit that she made herself. She was going to clear this area of evil! With her own version of her moon rod, she was smashing zombies in the head. “I will punish you all, in the name of the moon!” she cried. But then it all went wrong…
A feral wasn’t something she had seen before, didn’t know they existed. It knocked her back and she banged up her knee. “That hurts!” she cries. Her eyes widened when it started to come for her again. She scrambled to her feet and ran. “Stop! I said stop!” she yelled at it as she ducked into another room. She spotted a trashcan lid and quickly grabbed it, and threw it like a frisbee at the beast. It was dazed but not for long.
Celine screamed, oh she was going to die. Never finding her allies, never finding the love of her life. Evil won.

Nerissa exited the abandoned fire department, inspecting the gun parts she had just finished improving. She was getting better and better at this, very few of them broke on her while improving them. She put the parts into her messenger bag and looked up at the night sky. It was still a ways until morning, so she decided to hunt some zombies on the way back to her apartment. It never hurt to get as much fighting in as she could these days.
She swiftly finished off her fourth zombie when she heard a scream. Where there were screams, there was usually something big nearby to cause them. The bigger the foe the better she thought. Without any hesitation she ran towards where the scream had come from, where she soon saw what appeared to be a young woman facing a feral. Nerissa scowled; she wasn't very good at fighting ferals yet, the always seemed to get the upper hand despite their madness. She turned to leave, not really caring what happened to the human when she heard an accusing cough behind her. With a sigh she turned around and saw Rachel, her curly brown hair framing a scowling face. "You're just going to leave her to die?!" She crossed her arms, daring Nerissa to make an excuse.
Nerissa just rolled her eyes, "It's not my fault she decided to risk her life by coming here." Another scream from the woman startled her slightly. The woman must have thrown something because the feral was now dazed, but Nerissa knew that wouldn't last long. She glanced at Rachel, who was still scowling. It could have been cute if it wasn't for the fact she was long dead and now more powerful than before. With a loud sigh Nerissa pulled out her rifle. "You know, my life was a lot easier when you were still dead." As she aimed her gun she heard her friend giggle, "I know!"
Nerissa fired at the feral, hitting it in the side and shoulder. It's attention became fixed onto her and charged at her, angered at being interrupted from it's hunt. Nerissa fired a few more shots before leaping nimbly out of the way. Using the wall she jumped over the feral, attacking it with her knives, and landed gracefully behind it. She fired at it's exposed back, barely missing with how close she was to her target. The feral's body jerked with every bullet before falling to the ground, whimpering. It scurried away half crawling, off to find somewhere to heal from it's wounds. Nerissa lowered her gun, not wanting to push her luck and making it feel cornered. A cornered vampire was much more dangerous than a wounded one.
Slinging her rifle onto her back Nerissa turned around to face the human. She could smell the blood from her injured knee, but luckily Nerissa had already eaten that night and wasn't hungry. She glanced around and didn't see Rachel, so she assumed that she was nearby out of sight. Even though no one had seen her yet, it was better to be safe than sorry when it came to possibly being seen by a medium or something, if those kind of people even existed. Glancing at the human, the thought of just leaving now and letting the human fend for herself flitted across her mind. However, she knew Rachel wouldn't forgive her so she offered the human a hand, asking in almost a bored tone, "Can you walk?"

Celine was in complete awe when someone came to her aide. "Wow.." she whispered softly, this person was skilled. The creature was not dead but the woman sure made it go away. She gave a nod when she was asked if she could walk. She took the offered hand and got up. She sniffled slightly as she moved her knee. She took in a deep breath, looking at the woman.
"Thank you so much. You were amazing." she said. "Guess we better get out of here before it decides to come back, huh?" she said, making her way out of the building. This woman must know about the city a lot more than herself. "I'm sorry if I caused you in trouble." she said, "These things are truly evil and must all die but..I'm not strong enough for whatever that was.."
She looked around, making sure there were no other surprises before turning to the woman. "My name is Celine. I owe you one." she said.

Nerissa helped the girl to her feet. She inwardly sighed at the sniffle the human made; was she really that upset over a scraped knee? She took the lead out of the building, already looking forward to when they would part ways. "I doubt it would come back anytime soon. It's probably off licking it's wounds somewhere. And don't worry, I was already in the area so it wasn't a problem. I'm always looking for a good fight anyways." She kept a look out for any zombies or other creatures in case the sounds of the fight attracted them, but so far everything was quiet.
She scoffed at the 'evil remark', "I wouldn't say evil exactly, that would give them too much credit. They're more like brainless savages. I've met people who earned the title and they were much smarter and more deadly." They were out of the cluster of buildings now and more out in the open. Now would be a good time to split, but before she could entertain the thought more she saw Rachel sitting on the broken sidewalk near them. With a sigh Nerissa stopped and turned to face the girl, having to think for a moment to remember the name she just said only moments ago. Name's Nerissa. So, what are you doing here? Looking for something? This isn't the best place to just hang out if you don't know how to handle a feral."
