There was something about what she had written that had caused her to sit back in her chair, the leather creaking quietly beneath her subtle weight. Flexing her fingers, she brought the cursor to her name and clicked it, her fingers prone above the keys before she could think twice. When the private message window popped up, she hesitated. What in the world was she going to say? Hi, I’m Caligrace, the scary allurist, do you want to chat? “This shouldn’t be this hard,” she practically whined, causing Elin to shift on the bed and roll onto her back. Her bright green eyes narrowed in on her, and she gave a haughty huff as she tossed a pillow at the back of her head. “Come on, girl, just send the message. She’s not going to bite. If she does, send her my way,” the brunette laughed, before rolling backwards off of the bed.
When she situated herself upright, she curled her hands along Caligrace’s shoulders and squeezed gently. “You’re overthinking it again. Come on, this isn’t you. You’re the life of the party. You literally bring the fire and sun with you,” she reminded her, before pressing a kiss to her mass of red curls. Through it all, she had remained quiet, her golden amber eyes filled with worry and self-doubt. She knew she was right, and yet, she couldn’t bring herself to send a message. With an annoyed sound, Elin pushed her out of the way and her fingers flew across the screen before she pressed send.

Hey, girl. I saw your message on the forum and thought we could meet. I’m assuming you’re the wife Nishaa talked about. If you want, e-mail me back and we can find a place to meet up?
xoxo

“Well, I guess that settles that, then.” Shaking her head with a grin, she pushed from the desk and leaped onto the bed, the pillows sinking beneath her as she grabbed the remote. Pulling up Netflix, she selected New Girl and pressed play on the season one finale. “We are so far behind, you know that, right?” The only answer she received was a grunt as the brunette tossed her a bag of twizzlers and collapsed into her side, head on her shoulder.
