Red lights flashed.Sirens blared. Luffy sat out of the way as the EMT in the back of the ambulance tried his best to keep the young blue haired girl stable. The vehicle bounced down the road at blinding speeds. He was against Mollusk getting involved in his territory battle with the Lionelli Family, but she had begged to help his crew out.She had even gone as far as getting a spear from Kamikaze. He had to admire her enthusiasm, She had done a marvelous job in the actual fight too. She hadn’t killed anyone, but those headshots she had delivered on those vampires certainly helped to turn the tide.
The ambulance screeched to a stop at the ER entrance and the two EMT’s jumped out with the gurney that Mollusk was strapped down too. The sliding doors barely opened before Luffy’s thrall was charged through like a human battering ram. Doctors and nurses were shouting back and forth as they took over from the pair of First Responders. Mollusk was wheeled off into the surgical wing. The large blonde man stood there covered in blood as she disappeared from sight. He sat down on a chair and ran his fingertips over his face. Red lines streaked down, marking where the man had touched.
They had won one fight, now he sat there praying Legion would win another one. This time, the life of Mollusk. Was it worth it? Was sitting here waiting, with a young woman’s life hanging by a thread, the injuries his friends had suffered worth everything that had been gained? If she lived, then yes. Yes it was worth it. It was worth slapping the largest local crime family in Harper Rock. The people would know the name Luffy again. Though this time, it wasn’t the viking they’d hear about, but Luffy “The Otter King” Andren. If little Mollusk died here tonight, LIonelli would not only know his name, but fear its very utterance. If she died, He’d make them pay.
But for right now he had to wait. And waiting made him figidety. He paced back and forth like a caged animal in the narrow hallway. Hospital staff and patients gave the blood caked demon a wide berth. And in his narrow cage, the monster paced and waited.
