Twins of Death {-Aurora- & Isadora} (Kamikaze)

Post by Isadora (DELETED 7756) »

Veronica Ashton wasn't a fool. Blinding white jacket, black jeans, simple grey tee shirt, neon turquoise tennis shoes. She dressed for maximum visibility, and kept the hood of her jacket up over dark turquoise hair. Yet she sat in one place, on a staircase, blue eyes sweeping the street back and forth, back and forth, keeping an eye out. This wasn't a safe part of town to be in, and she knew it. She'd grown up walking these very streets.

She wasn't surprised that Gambondale was under quarantine since she and her sister had been away at college. Sure, it'd been a pretty nice place, but something about the area just made her uneasy. She never had been able to pinpoint just why that was.

It wasn't long before, with the buzz of her phone, Veronica stood, and started walking, towards the motel that she was staying in. It wasn't much of a place, but it was better than staying with Mom, who always judged.
"You have too many tattoos! What kind of job are you going to get with hair like that? Take that thing out of your nose, you look like a cow." It was downright sickening to Veronica, and even though she and her sister were in town to see the woman, it didn't seem to matter.

"And she wonders why we rarely call," she murmured to herself, digging in her pocket as she walked. "Damn, did I forget my key?" Not that Veronica would know it, but she'd actually dropped her key on her way back to the motel. "Oh, **** it." She stalked up the stairs to knock on the door to their motel room - room 210. "Kat, did I leave my key in there? It's not in my pocket..."

"Hey, there, pretty girl," a punk with a neon blue mohawk called from across the cement courtyard. "Come join us. Guaranteed you'll have fun!"

"I'd rather handle horseshit than have fun with you," Veronica called back, knocking again. "Kat, you there?"

Katrine loped toward the motel, pockets loaded down with all manner of junk food from the nearby petrol station. Greenish blue eyes swept over the crap motel she was staying in, with her twin. Sighing, she pushed red hair from her eyes, pieces of it catching on her monroe piercing as always. She didn't even wince this time, so used to it getting caught. Instead she pushed the white fur lined hood of her jacket from her head and pulled her hair into a sloppy ponytail.

Always dressing for comfort, Kat wore low slung jeans, her white and black hoodie and solid black hightops, because it was cold outside, she had paired a pair of fingerless black gloves that said 'Loveless' across the fingers with the ensemble her body was wrapped in. She turned a corner, just in time to see the punk catcalling to Ver. She heard her twin's reply and snorted a silent giggle before stepping up behind the punk. She tapped him on the shoulder and waited, when he turned, her fist connected with his nose and got that instant gratification of hearing bone and cartilage popping and snapping as his nose broke. She grinned and bent over his prone form as he rocked back and forth holding his nose. Next time, think before you open yer mouth. She offered before she stepped over him and made her way toward Ver.

Once she stepped up next to her, she realized that she'd been calling her name. She giggled, Lose yer key again Ver? She smirked, pulling the plastic from under all the pilfered junk food in her hoodie pocket. She slipped the card into the slot and jerked the door open, letting her twin walk in first, hoping that the younger sibling would be unaware of what had transpired behind her.

As she stood there, she felt her phone start to vibrate in her pocket and 'Cut the Cord' filled the air as it signaled she was getting a call. She sighed and tugged the phone from her pocket, then looked at Ver with a sour look. It's Mom, should I answer or just let it go to voicemail? She mused, asking Veronica, but also asking herself. In the end, she let it go to voicemail, not wanting to hear their mom's judgements of staying in a motel, especially one as rundown as this one. Kat provided the money, since she was better at lifting wallets than Ver was, her blue haired twin usually got caught because she couldn't stop giggling or doing something else to draw attention to herself. So Katrine did the providing when they were here, back at the college, that was a different story. They didn't have to steal, or stay in a crap motel, they stayed in a nice dorm and usually had money to spare.

Kat looked at Ver and then back at the kid who'd now gotten up, still holding his nose. She watched as he hobbled toward them, then thought better of it when she caught his eye. She just shook her head and the kid wandered away. Once he was a safe distance away, Kat looked at Ver again, I brought snacks. Want something? She still stood by the door, letting Ver in first before walking in after her, pulling the junk food from her pocket carefully.

Wandering through the motel aimlessly, Kamikaze was having an episode, not even realizing she was in the motel. Dressed to success, Shizuka had wanted Kamikaze to make sure she wore something suitable for the winery, as she didn't want Ariadne to look bad with employees not dressed their best. The white noise within the chaotic mind was thick, reality distorted to its maximum, almost as if she were having a bad trip. In her mind, the shadows were whispering, chittering, darkness pouring through the walls like sweat, before she ran into a figure. Was this a real person? Was this a hallucination? Kamikaze was unsure, and it made her nervous.

In reality, the small woman had bumped into the punk that had earlier tried to hit up the girl around the bend, meeting a fist from a sibling. Wild eyes stared at the bleeding, in which he shrinked back a bit, before excusing himself. Kamikaze stared, hungry eyes, remembering she hadn't fed recently. In her vision, the figure was human, yes, or looked it, but the features had been grayed out, though she could tell something wasn't quite... other-worldly. She could sense that beating of a heart. Pressing a finger to her lips, she made a hushing sound, then grinned to the man. His eyes lit up a bit, as if thinking he was going to get lucky by some random callgirl. He assumed the woman was one. She was in such a seedy motel, in fine clothing. Who else would do such a thing?

A motel room had its door ajar around the bend, due to either illicit activities prior or a rather forgetful maid. Either way, it was fortuotous for the 'couple'. Kamikaze grinned all the while, mind still playing tricks, though she ignored them for now. Her hunger trumped the exploration of her mind and the encroaching darkness. The punk wandered in after her, still holding his nose, a **** eating grin plastered across his bruising face. His luck was looking better, after such a bad string recently.

"So... do I pay upfront? Or... well.. I don't have a lot of money, to be honest... so..." Checking his wallet, he only had a few singles and some loose change, since he had used the rest on cigarettes. Kamikaze responded not with words, but with a smile, making sure the door was closed, after slipping the Do Not Disturb sign on. Sliding onto his lap, she continued to smile, brushing fingers along his cheeks, pushing his hands away. When he attempted to grope, she slapped the hands, wagging a finger, before she went in quickly for the neck. Teeth met flesh, sinking in for a bite, which alarmed the punk. "... The ****?!"

Attempting to push the smaller woman off of him, as he was being bit, the punk struggled, Kamikaze sinking teeth in deeper, gripping her arms around him. His vision was blurring rapidly, he was starting to panic. What was this ***** doing? Was she on bath salts? "Crazy *****! Get off of me!" Trying to push away, he started to stand, met by a sharp pain in his torso. Eyes wide, he opened his mouth to scream, though gurgling came out instead of words. Looking down, the ***** had stabbed him in the chest. He tried to move, tried to summon every ounce of will left, managing to shake her off a bit, though Kamikaze was toying. She had the upper hand in this little game, and she would feed to her fill.

Blood dripped along her lips and down her chin, leaving a beautiful trail down her throat and to the dress. She moved to pull the blade free, before inserting it up and to the right from where it was earlier, causing the man to gasp a bloody gasp, before dropping to his knees. Now she knew that she needed to be careful, as feeding before had led to progeny, as with Laila and Dallas, so she would act quickly.

Pulling the switchblade free, she still had her own sword with her as well, tucked in the back of her dress, her gun locked away in one of her apartments. Quickly, she'd need to dispose of the evidence. Dragging the body to the bed, she stared, before pulling the sword out that Velveteen had gifted her. It was a rather menacing beauty of steel, a sign of the Owl's craftsmanship.

Soon she would be hacking away, coating the walls, ceiling, as well as anything in the vicinity, including herself. Her grin widened, baring all teeth, fangs included, since she was in a private location, and it wasn't like anybody was watching. She could have a bit of fun, as well as let off some steam that her anxiety was building, since she had to deal with customers that day, though normally she'd be tucked away on her computer, working for the winery. Right now, she was making artwork, the blood spray causing the walls to look more of a Jackson Polluck painting.

In moments, there would be a bundle of bloody sheets wrapped up and tied atop the mattress, Kamikaze soon taking a shower with her clothing on, sword back where it belonged. The blood spiralled in the drain, a peppermint swirl of sorts against the ceramic. Shizuka was mortified by what Kamikaze had done, Three also a bit sickened, though Kamikaze reminded Shizuka that she had stripped Laila's mortal coil and turned her without the poor girl's consent, though the saddening thing was that the beautiful Necromancer had been claimed by the shadows for good, as well as her other progeny, and they had searched as much of the Shadow Realm as they could. Even Dallas and Apollo had disappeared, without a trace, which was rather disheartening, leaving a wound in the soul of the host, of Shizuka, of Kamikaze, of Three.
With the blood coming off, and the drain starting to look less and less of a peppermint twist, the Shadow stepped out, turning the water off. The thought of progeny haunted their mind, as they feared another failure. They feared making the same mistakes, making the same choices. They had rushed the latest attempts, and paid the price in the end.

The darkness still calling, still creeping within the Shadow's mind, it began to pool along her feet, until Tao peeked out from under her, staring with hollow eyes. They chittered, then informed the woman of the two girls that the latest victim had accosted, or well one he attempted to accost and another that had given him a cheap shot. Kamikaze stared, a bit disgusted that the wraith appeared to be staring up her dress, she stamped at their face, the limp passing through. She still had a bit of excitement within her, almost like a euphoric rush from strangling a drifter. Looking to the wraith, her face went from disgust to inquiry.

Little shadow, little shadow~! Sing sweet nothingness of the angels~! Is the little shadow a little shadow~? We see with eyes~. Darkness. Shadows call~. Cries. The shadows sing of destruction~!

Tao stared, confused for a moment, then figured what she had attempted to say. The wraith muttered through the white noise of the Shadow's mind, describing the girls, describing their demeanor. The wraith also told the Shadow that she would seriously need to visit Charles again, for some therapy. Perhaps shock therapy, if the man had the tools to do so, or if it even worked on such a damaged mind as hers. Medication might not have worked, they whispered. Kamikaze looked insulted for a moment, soon kicking at the wraith, who deadpanned when the foot faded through just like the previous attempt at physical abuse.

Veronica had indeed not seen what had transpired behind her, focused as she was on trying to get her twin's attention when she hadn't even been in the room she was knocking on. "Damn, Kat, you could've left a note or something on the door," she laughed, slipping inside when the elder of the pair unlocked the door. "Yes, I lost my key, again. I think I can do without it though, as long as you don't ditch me." She winked, plopping on the edge of a bed.

At the sound of the music, Veronica cringed. They each had their own ringtone for their mother. Where Kat's was Cut the Cord, Veronica's was Headstrong. "Dude, don't even consider answering it. She just wants to yell at us." As if on cue, a moment after Kat's stopped ringing, Ver's began. She didn't even bother letting it ring, swiping het thumb to ignore the woman's call.

"Snacks sound divine. You got any chocolates?" Veronica was a little too eager to dive straight into the candy, rather than attempt to eat something semi-healthy. They ate healthy at the college dorms. This was where they had their favorite treats, even though they had a judgemental mother, and had to stay in seedy motels where they constantly got catcalled and had to be armed.

Veronica's own pocket pistol sat neatly in her left pocket, where she could pull it if someone got a little too fresh. Usually when she and her sister were together, the blue-haired twin would set the piece down. Right now, though, she kept it in her pocket, as she shoved her hood down and flopped back onto the bed, blue hair fanning to the side. "Ugh, I would love some chocolate." Veronica was a chocoholic, and proud of it, and her twin knew that. Blue eyes met blue-green, and Veronica smiled.

No one knew her like her twin.
