Re: A Change of Luck(Sigrid)
He had actually been surprised her reactions both in the apartment and so far in the elevator were so calm, he had expected anger and maybe even a bit of hate but then he remembered she was female, and while he might be ok in short term dealings with them he had never quite figured any of them out so how could he this one? Her questions on the ride down were valid though and he was torn between telling her the full truth or if he should toy with her a bit. For now at least he decided to just be up front in his answers, there would be better chances to mess with her later at least assuming that she was going to be staying around and didn't end up bailing as soon as given the chance.
Shrugging slightly then he finally answered her just before they got to the ground floor hoping to distract her from the humans he was sure would be milling about once the doors did open, "Well truth be told you're the first person I have turned. I wasn't sure if it was even going to work and i figured better to put you somewhere that could hold you and should the worst happen it would have made cleanup and disposal much easier." He doubted she wanted to hear it was partially in his plans to accept her death but it simply was the way it could have been and fortunately for her hadn't come to pass. The second question was trickier though and he could only helplessly shrug, "Well I mean there is always the couch or the bed when I'm not there. I don't always sleep at home as I have plenty of other things to hunt for throughout the night that I find useful. If I am there, well then you'll have to sort that out. I won't kick you out of the bed but I certainly won't be sleeping on the couch."
Ok so it wasn't all straight answers. How does one explain to someone that expected to stay with you that you weren't really ready for that kind of thing as far as beds and furniture go? At least he would let her mull that over. He didn't care who he shared a bed with to rest, he had had to sleep covered in mud, blood and much worse through the years. Sharing an actual bed with another person to sleep? It didn't matter to him in the slightest. As the doors finally opened to the ground floor he motioned towards the front doors just a little distance away and said softly so just she would hear it, "Outside first, hold your breath you don't need to breath anyways. I don't want you killing and eating people in the building where we sleep." He hoped he had given enough warning but all he could do was follow her out to try and stop her if things took a turn for the worse.
Or he could let her go on a rampage of feeding and watch to see what happens. That thought wasn't completely unpleasant and he figured it was better to see what happened to someone else that so clearly broke the 'laws' and let humans see one of their kind. It wasn't that he wanted to set her up to take the fall though, just simply the thought of it was both amusing and would be educational for him. Unfortunately for her, it let his mind wander to what other things he might be able to use her for to test the limits of things while letting her have her freedom to come and go as she wanted and do most anything she wanted to do while keeping himself mostly hidden to observe. This childe thing might not end up being such a bad idea if things went that way, but he would have to be careful not to purposefully put her in those positions. He had the feeling she would realize and turn against him and then it all would have been for nothing and might even get him killed if he weren't careful.

Re: A Change of Luck(Sigrid)
Sigrid blinked, doing nothing to hold back her surprise. The first person he had turned? Somehow that was hard to believe but...she believed him. No wonder he had been so reluctant at first. All in all, this could prove to be an interesting predicament for the both of them. She stood silently for a moment in thought, watching as they passed two more floors, the smell wafting up from the lobby growing stronger. "Disposal?" She furrowed her brows, musing for a moment at what did happen when a turning, as she guessed it was called, went haywire. Probably nothing good, still the idea that he would wash her away like dirt was a little annoying.
"I guess I should say i'm honored?" She said facetiously, leaning again the opposite side of the elevator, head tilted back slightly. Sigrid looked up, staring at her self in the mirror on ceiling, slightly amused at her appearance. Disheveled brown hair framing a face that was too gaunt to be healthy, dark circled gouged out under her wide eyes. 'Well you can **** was you see in the movies,' she thought, ' turning into a vampire doesn't do **** to make you prettier.'
Slowly, she tilted her head back down, raising an eyebrow at Edenor. "So...you'll let me stay with you?" Sigrid tried her best to hide her relief, considering her last place out residence hadn't worked out, to say the least. With a snort, she tossed him a sly smile, "Ok ill take the offer...," she smirked, "but don't expect to get anything out of it."
Her smirked dissipated as the smell hit her, sweet on in senses, causing her body to tingle. Holy **** she was hungry, more than hungry, a feeling that made her mind go fuzzy and her eyes glaze over. Edenor's voice broke through the trance, and Sigrid quickly covered her nose with her hand. It helped, but nothing could prepare her for what came when the elevator doors opened. Bloodbags, at least three of them, paced around the lobby, and Sigrid thanked the gods that Edenor had warned her before hand. As fast as her legs would carry her, Sigrid flew towards the door, bursting out into a nearly empty street. Sharp fangs pricked at her tongue, her shaking with fear and bloodlust all at one time. She had never felt like this before, this was no longer hunger, but something deeper. Tears brimmed her eyes that were now as wide as marbles, threatening to slide down her pale cheeks.
Slowly she released her hands from her mouth, and began to run, quickly turning into the first ally see saw. All thought, all feeling was gone, her mind was as blank as sheet of paper, one track now thanks to her hunger. Quickly she leaped, landing on the roof of a smaller building, never stopping, not until she smelt it again. With no hesitation at all, she descended on her, too fast to even entice a single scream. The ally dark, but Sigrid could still see, fangs meeting flesh so sweet, so weak it hurt. Sigrid could feel her self again, for a fraction of a second, a younger her crying out to stop, but it was too late. Blood washed over her tongue, down her chin and chest as she ripped and tore into the woman's neck. There was no one to see, not in the shadows of the ally, but the soft gurgles of the woman echoed against the walls of the building, a reminder.
Sigrid stopped and looked down, the woman a shambled mess, arms broken head handing on by what was left of her neck, the gouges of claws in her legs and arms. Blonde hair was now soaked with blood, hazel eyes glazed over, staring at her, all life gone. Sigrid stared back, wanting to cry, wanting to run, but she was still hungry. So hungry she couldn't remember why she was doing this, why the blonde hair drenched in blood was so familiar in her memory. "Alina" The name rang in the back of her mind, like a whisper. She ran again, through the dark, trailing the smell of blood.

Re: A Change of Luck(Sigrid)
Her reactions were actually considerably more calm than he thought they were going to be when he gave her the answers to the questions she asked but he didn't bother to explain himself when her single word question rolled out of her mouth. She knew what it meant and there was no point trying to explain it away, it simply was the way things might have been. Fortunately for her that hadn't actually ended up being the case and she was now like him and a creature made to hunt, kill and feed from those that, mere hours ago, were the same as her. A slight chuckle escaped him then and he could only shrug, "You can say whatever you want. Feeling honored or not is up to you. I simply gave you a means to the end you wish to achieve." It wasn't meant to sound as harsh as it came out, but it was still true, if she had bothered him perhaps just a bit more when trying to get him to turn her or had been too stupid to realize she should be afraid he would have killed her.
He was barely about to answer when he saw her expression change and like a bolt she was gone. He sighed and shook his head helplessly before following at a more leisurely pace. She had run out of the building, so that was a plus and then had kept going. He saw her disappear down an alley and followed after her. It was only as the smell of blood in the air wafted towards him that he realized she had found a victim. No scream or sounds really could be heard to indicate a struggle and as he was finally able to see the woman now coated in blood he smiled slightly as he thought to himself, 'At least she's a natural.' Before he could even get close though she was running away again and he could only frown.
The mess this time would be left to him it seemed, it wasn't anything new or particularly annoying really but it did inconvenience him since he would have to hide the body and chase after her. As he reached the body he realized just how sloppy her feeding had been, no regard for easy clean up and chunks of flesh gouged and torn from the womans body. '**** it.' He left it there and chased after the woman instead, following the smell of blood was easy enough as he had already known which way she was headed from the body which certainly helped. Once she was within his field of vision again a soft growl escaped him as he willed his powers out as he had before with her, shadows closing off in front of her as he called out loud enough for her to hear him. His voice was stern and carried a threat he didn't actually give words to any specifics, "Stop and calm down before you do something truly reckless and I have to act." He almost hoped she wouldn't listen, if only to give him an excuse to teach her a cold, hard truth about dealing with him. He was far more likely to punish and then explain what was done wrong than to explain and then punish. This would likely be a rare occurrence where he would give any warning he was going to act against her at all.

Re: A Change of Luck(Sigrid)
Sigrid turned at the sound of his voice, face splattered in crimons, lips curling into a snarl. Her eyes narrowed, two twinkling slits, watching him. She arms and chest were covered in blood and chunks of flesh, but she hardly seemed to care at this point, casually licking her lips. If she wanted to, she could run, casting aside her humanity forever, a creature of the shadows. Instead she stayed deathly still, not even caring to brush the blood strands of hair out of her face.
"They're just sheep," her voice was low, but clean, her words a casual as she would sound repeating the weather report. Slowly, she raised her hand to wipe her mouth, "and i'm not even close to being full." This was true, in fact, the young vampire felt famished, but that was nowhere near the blood craze from before. Sigrid eyes stayed zeroed in on Edenor as she thought, wondering what he next move should be.
She could play it safe, do what she was told, take the slap on the wrist and go home. Then again, where was the fun in that. Suddenly, Sigrid swung back her head, laughing loudly, letting it echo against the walls of the build. Her red lips curled up even farther into a sinister grin, her eyes wide with mania, "Ok then ******* stop me! I wanna see you catch me !" She barked, turning and running again, ducking between building, still following the scent of blood in the air. Even if she got no where, it would be worth the flight; and then again, Sigrid had never been very good at following the rules.

Re: A Change of Luck(Sigrid)
All his thoughts suddenly quieted as he watched the feral display of the woman in front of him but upon hearing her words he at least knew she hadn't completely lost herself to the beast that was their hunger. It also let him know that her sudden acts of trying to leave and make him chase her were her choice. It was the wrong choice. He had had no thoughts of completely stopping her, only of getting her to get control of herself before she did something stupid but then she went and pissed him off which was a very stupid decision.
He had told her before he turned her that he was going to be responsible for her and not to push him and yet the first chance she got that was exactly what she did and so he would go to an extreme to show her how that was not the choice she should make in the future. He didn't rush after her as she spun away but her words made his eyes narrow as he let them sink in. Asshole? Already she would act this way towards him after he gave her what she wanted? Very well. His right hand reached his hip and raised back up suddenly, a target with their back turned and only trying to run? Not even a challenge at this distance. His gun had been leveled at her legs, just below her *** where there was the least motion but the most muscle and bone to serve as a target and squeezed.
Two shots fired in rapid succession as his wrist turned minutely after the first shot sending a second for her other leg in the same area of her other leg. As soon as the bullets were fired he lowered the gun back to its holster and followed after her. She might have escaped them from completely stopping her but at least it would make this chase last much less time as his handgun fired rounds more suited towards a high powered rifle than something one would shoot with one hand. Thankfully accuracy hadn't been an issue with his powers being what they were, less kick than when he had shot a .45 as a human so at least the shots should have hit. He waited a moment though even after that before walking towards where he had fired, let her be angry before he finally catches up if it put her down, and if it missed or grazed her hopefully it would make her come to her senses and realize that he wasn't playing these games for fun. One could only hope at least.

Re: A Change of Luck(Sigrid)
The shot echoed against the walls, the first bullet whizzing past her lets, barely grazing her shin. One the second one her lucky had ran out, the bullet shooting through her lower leg straight into the pavement. The pain came on slow, and Sigrid had already ran far enough to be out of range before her leg gave out, sending her tumbling into a heap of garbage. A thousand different curse words erupted from her mouth, anger and pain boiling inside her like a toxic stew.
Blood had already started to pool around her, and frantically, Sigrid tried to apply pressure to both side of the wound. Her face turned up towards Edenor, blazing with anger, "What the **** is wrong with you!" she spat, gritting her teeth. The bleeding, miraculously had stopped, but the pain was still enough to make her head swirl. Sigrid had been shot before, one through the shoulder, and had a scar to prove it. Honestly once was enough for one lifetime, but here she was again, sitting in a pool of her own blood, still cursing loudly.
Finally she stopped, her brow still furrowed, but mouth shut tight. "Was shooting me really ******* necessary?" She growled, trying to stand shakily, resting her weight on her good leg. It as no good, and Sigrid cursed again as she collapsed back down in pain. For moment, anger was replaced by fear, a fuzzy feeling in the back of her mind, humanity settling on her like a light snow. "I thought vampires were immune to bullets or some ****," of course she didn't know this for a face, but the idea was nice. Still, Sigrid blinked in amazement as she noticed the pain subsiding, and the wound beginning to heal. "Your gunna have to ******* carry me now you sack of ****, " she grumbled, looking away, "lesson learned, don't drain the humans dead."

Re: A Change of Luck(Sigrid)
The sound of foul language coming from the woman not far away let him know he had at least been able to drop her and he couldn't help the small smile on his face as he came within sight of her and her words became much more focused on him. He shrugged as he finally put his gun away and shrugged, "I told you to stop and you didn't listen." It was all the response she would get as to what was wrong with him. After all, he did warn her before not to push him. Or had he? Oh well it didn't really matter and hopefully now she would realize when he said something she wouldn't just dismiss him as trying to keep her down. If that was what he wanted it would not be done with words.
He frowned as he saw her blood though, his own didn't react that way and wasn't red either. His black blood would seem a wisp of black ink leaking from his wounds before disappearing and while he knew a path wasn't necessarily passed down he was surprised the blood didn't. Had he really thought about it he probably would have realized this wasn't the case. As far as he knew his sire had normal blood as well compared to his but he had other issues to deal with. Crouching down in front of her to put himself on level with her he nodded, "As much as you will hate to hear this, yes it was. You are out here acting like a rabid animal and that is not what I agreed to as I hope you will remember in the future." He smirked slightly as he watched her slowly coming to realize that the pain and even the wound were disappearing, "Besides, no lasting harm done to you from just a couple of bullets. Be glad it was the gun and not my knives I decided to use. At least a bullet is quick and since it went through there should be no issues."
Carry her? Why the hell would he do that? She had refused to listen, and even now thought he didn't want her killing humans. Why should he care if she killed humans? it was only normal and he himself did it as well to survive and sometimes just for fun. He could only laugh as he stood up and offered her his right hand to help her up, "Unfortunately for you I think we need to toughen you up a bit. The pain and wound won't last long and you still need to feed. Even moreso now." He shrugged, "I didn't say you cant kill the humans, by all means, just keep the bloody mess like the one back there to a minimum. I don't think you want others to be hunting you down. And they will, don't think for a moment all humans are just sheep that wont fight, or that all vampires will let you just freely do as you wish and ruin their little charade they have going that 'we don't exist'."
that was enough of that subject and he found himself watching her with a slight smirk on his face as he said softly, "Now, go finish feeding I will wait right here. If you want to make a bloody mess at least do it somewhere more out of the way and dispose of any evidence you can. If you aren't sure what to do then you know where to find me. You will get worse injuries than what I did to you in this city, if you can't shrug them off and keep going when you don't have to you might not be able to when it counts. I hope you wont have to have me teach you this more than once." His tone went icy cold then as his eyes narrowed at her, "Feel free to test me any time. Though it will be worse each time and I hope you don't need me to teach you the hard way every time."

He shrugged, "I didn't say you cant kill the humans, by all means, just keep the bloody mess like the one back there to a minimum.

Re: A Change of Luck(Sigrid)
Sigrid raised a brow as Edenor spoke, but her lips remained firmly sealed, a tight red line across her face. All his points were indeed, valid ones, and the fledgling wasn't about to argue with the man who had landed a shot in her lower leg just seconds before. Then again, it wasn't like he was judging her, but there was still the fact that as soon as the elevator doors opened, Sigrid had been no more than a fox in a chicken coop.
The only thing that could be odder than her current situation, was the lack of guilt she currently felt. It had only been a day since she had turned, and maybe her empathy had been slim to none to start out with, but now she felt nothing. There was only the taste of blood on her tongue, and the numbing pain lingering in her leg.
He was right, and Sigrid looked down, blinking as the bullet holes quickly began to heal. "Toughen up a bit? Me?" Sigrid feigned a small, short laugh, "Now that's a funny one." With a bit of a strain, Sigrid managed to stand, dusting herself off slightly. Thank god its so dark out with some amusement, looking down at her clothes, grimacing slightly. One this was for sure, she would need new clothes if she ever wanted to show herself to anyone again. "Ok ok I get it, keep a low profile," she huffed, obviously not the mood for a lecture after the events that had just unfolded, " I think I got point across when you ******* shot me."
With a wrinkled nose and head turned up, Sigrid narrowed her eyes back at him. She wasn't about to test him, not here, not when at least some of her mind back in her control. Still she would never admit the unease she felt about herself now, like the animal she was before had just tripled literally over night. She would have to be careful, if she wanted to live and get her revenge at the same time. "Ill be back, " she mumbled, flipping up her hood and looking down. Her leg had completely healed, but a slight ache still lingered.
Sigrid made a mad dash down the ally away, trailing the smell of blood, this time with a clearer mind, following the scent like a red thread. She hadn't realized how strong she was, how fast she was, wind whipping through her air and beating against her face. As dead as she technically was, Sigrid couldn't have felt any more alive. In an instant, she descended on her necks victim, this time reaching a hand for his neck. As her skin touched the homeless mans neck, she felt it, the subtle beating of his heart growing weaker, and even then she didn't go. She held on, sinking her fangs into him before he could yell out. His blood was not as sweet as the last one, but still she drank her fill, not relenting until she felt heart slow to a dull creep, but not stop. Red lips glistened in the dim light, Sigrid grinned as she whipped them with the back of her hand. The wound on his neck would heal, and if he was unlucky, he would die before day break.
After some time, she mad her way back to Edenor, a satisfied smirk spread across her face. "Better?" She asked sarcastically, stuffing her hands in her pockets, "good luck getting me past the people in the lobby though." Sigrid snorted, looking down at herself, then back up at Edenor, feigned innocence swept across her face.

Re: A Change of Luck(Sigrid)
He wasn't in a rush but was glad she had seemed to somewhat accept what he told her. He knew he would likely catch hell for it later from the woman but for the moment she did as he had asked. Of course her quip about needing to toughen up made him give a wan smile. She might think herself tough now, he most certainly had when turned, but the blows some of the other creatures in this city could give him were not easy to shrug off and he had found himself in dire straights before. Not to mention the Fae. As soon as he thought about them his eyes narrowed in dismay, he knew it was impossible to harm them, but still he would do everything in his power to kill them, any of them, all of them, just one of them. It wouldn't matter.
His attention had focused on her once more as she said she understood his point when he shot her and a smile came to his face, "Well then now that we are on the same page and you understand that I am not joking when I tell you such things then all is well. The lessons don't have to be hard but there really is no line between the easy and hard way. You don't accept one then there will be the other. I don't know of another way and don't try and do things half assed." He inclined his head as she left then and simply waited.
It wasn't too long before she returned from her next, or last victim as there may have been more than one. He hadn't followed her, trusting her if only for the fact that she likely would not want to get shot again. He himself wouldn't want to argue with himself in such an instance, after all he hadn't even been angry when he shot her the first time. If he got angry he knew even he wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of his wrath. Her words made him smirk wickedly then and he nodded, "Much better." He turned to lead her away, heading not towards West Towers but the nearby residential neighborhood. "You are right, in your current state it would be hard to get you back in without causing a ruckus. So I have a better idea."
Leading her towards one of the houses that had a hose on the outside he went and picked it up but didn't turn it on yet but was sure she knew what he had planned, "Since you got into such a sorry mess from acting like an animal I figure you must be ok with being cleaned up like one. After all, just being soaked to the bone won't cause nearly as much trouble as all that blood will." He didn't expect her to cooperate willingly, and his words had most certainly been said with a teasing tone but his eyes watched her coldly, daring her to argue again. She wanted to try and make things difficult and so he knew better than to let her win if he could avoid it. If he didn't chances are she would try to walk all over him and then he would have to be cruel for the sake of fear alone and that was not something he would enjoy even if he was willing to do it.
